We have reached a moment in history that none of us will forget. We are literally standing on the precipice of the unthinkable, and most people don’t even realize it. Of course, horrific wars have a way of erupting when most people are not expecting them. Hardly anyone expected a global war to erupt in 1914, but then tens of millions of precious souls died over the next four years. Hardly anyone expected a global war to erupt in 1939, but then tens of millions of precious souls died over the next six years. This time around, what is happening should be glaringly obvious to everyone. Personally, I have been specifically warning about what is taking place right now for more than a decade. If we do not change course, billions of precious souls could die during the nightmarish global wars that are rapidly approaching.

At this moment, most Americans have no idea that a war between the United States and China is coming.

Just a few days ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping boldly talked about “preparation for war” as he was dressed in military fatigues…

On Thursday Chinese Communist Dictator Xi Jinping commanded troops to strengthen their preparedness for war while visiting his People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force following last week’s drills of surrounding the sovereign country of Taiwan.

“Xi said the military should ‘comprehensively strengthen training and preparation for war, (and) ensure troops have solid combat capabilities,’ CCTV reported,” according to the AFP and reported on Barrons Saturday.

Why would China need to prepare for war?

Needless to say, nobody is planning to attack China.

The truth is that the only reason that China would need to prepare for war is if it was planning to invade Taiwan.

Because the moment that China invades Taiwan, the U.S. and China will be at war.

In recent days, the Chinese have been getting very aggressive with Taiwan…

On Monday, Beijing had deployed fighter jets, drones, warships and coast guard vessels to encircle Taiwan — its fourth round of large-scale war games around the democratic island in just over two years.

China’s communist leaders have insisted they will not rule out using force to bring Taiwan under Beijing’s control.

Meanwhile, western leaders continue to publicly discuss sending NATO troops to Ukraine.

The latest example of this came from the foreign minister of Lithuania…

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said in a statement to Politico on Monday that European Union countries should return to the idea of putting boots-on-the-ground in Ukraine to fight Russia.

The idea comes after French President Emmanuel Macron said in February that sending Western troops to Ukraine is not ‘ruled out’ for the future plans in war against Russia, according to the AP. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz shut down that plan for the time being however.

“If information about Russia’s killing squads being equipped with North Korean ammunition and military personnel is confirmed, we have to get back to ‘boots on the ground’ and other ideas proposed by [French President] Emmanuel Macron,” he said in written comments, Politico reported on Monday.

One of the reasons why this has came up again is because there are reports that soldiers from North Korea are being equipped and sent to fight for Russia on the front lines of eastern Ukraine…

North Korean soldiers have been filmed receiving uniforms and equipment at a training ground in Russia’s far east, appearing to confirm reports from South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) that 1,500 soldiers have been shipped over for military training to be deployed in Ukraine.

The North Korean troops are thought to be receiving training before being sent to the front line in Ukraine, in what is thought to be a clear sign of the ever-warming relations between Moscow and Pyongyang.

Both sides just continue to escalate matters.

It appears to be just a matter of time before we find ourselves in a direct conflict with the Russians, and that is a really, really bad idea.

North Korea has been making all sorts of noise lately. In addition to sending troops to fight in Ukraine, the North Koreans are also threatening to invade South Korea…

North Korea has said it had found the remnants of a South Korean military drone and that any further “violation” of its territory would result in a “declaration of war.”

Tensions between the two sides of the peninsula have escalated since May when the North began flying balloons carrying garbage across the border to the South, prompting Seoul to respond by restarting loudspeaker propaganda broadcasts.

This week, North Korea accused South Korea of flying drones over Pyongyang on three occasions this month and threatened to respond with force if it happened again.

The North Korean military is vastly superior to the South Korean military.

If North Korea invades, the only way that South Korea will survive is if we intervene.

But right now the U.S. military is focused on the Middle East, because that conflict could spiral completely out of control at any moment.

On Sunday night, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari warned that Israel would soon begin targeting any financial institutions that aid Hezbollah…

“In the past 24 hours, dozens of projectiles have been fired at northern Israel,” he began. “In the next minutes, we will issue an advance evacuation warning to residents of Beirut and other areas in Lebanon to evacuate locations being used to finance Hezbollah’s terror activities. I emphasize here: Anyone located near sites used to fund Hezbollah’s terror activities must move away from these locations immediately.”

“We will strike several targets in the coming hours and additional targets throughout the night.

“In the coming days, we will reveal how Iran funds Hezbollah’s terror activities by using civilian institutions, associations, and NGOs that act as fronts for terrorism.”

And it certainly did not take long for that to start happening.

Last night, branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association Bank were hit by Israeli airstrikes…

Israeli fighter jets struck dozens of targets in Beirut and other areas of southern Lebanon overnight, including branches of a bank accused of holding funds used by Hezbollah.

The military’s Arabic spokesman, Avichay Adraee, had earlier in the night issued several evacuation orders for buildings throughout southern Lebanon he said were in the vicinity of facilities belonging to the U.S.-sanctioned Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association Bank.

Most people in the western world have absolutely no idea how chaotic things have become over there.

It is being reported that there is “widespread panic” in Beirut at this moment…

Jeanine Hennis, the United Nations’ special coordinator for Lebanon, said that after the IDF issued its evacuations, said there was “widespread panic” in Beirut.

“A brief window to escape to safety. Intense blasts reverberate across the night sky. With each day, Lebanon suffers more. But even amid the escalating violence, solutions remain available. If only opportunities would be seized,” she said.

Could the U.S. soon find itself involved in 4 major global wars?

Let’s hope not, because we are not even prepared to fight one…

The US Army’s outgoing top commander in the Pacific region has warned that the US can “ill afford” another war because its military is vastly overstretched.

According to Defense One, Gen. Charles Flynn said that the US’ authoritarian rivals — Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea — had been placing increasing pressure on American military resources.

Speaking at the AUSA conference in Washington DC last week, Flynn described the technology and military alliances between the authoritarian states as a “very dangerous combination.”

The U.S. military is not the overwhelming global force that it once was.

While other major powers have been feverishly preparing to fight World War III, our military has been rapidly becoming a politically correct joke.

Now a day of reckoning is upon us, and we are not ready.

World Leaders Commit to An Agenda That Lays the Foundation for New ‘Global Governance’

On September 22nd, world leaders met at the UN Headquarters in New York City. The result was the adoption of the “Pact for the Future,” which lays the final pieces for their “New World Order.”

The “Pact for the Future” is a 56-page document that our leaders just committed us to. The centerpiece of this agreement is designed to “steer humanity on a new course.” This is a global agenda that literally covers just about every aspect of daily life. The UN describes the Pact as a “landmark declaration” pledging action towards an improved world for tomorrow’s generations. The agreement adopted by 193 members includes a pledge to move faster towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement commitments on climate change.

Seven Countries Oppose

This game-changing “Pact for the Future” was overwhelmingly approved except for a small group of seven countries that tried but failed to pass a last-minute amendment. Why was there opposition, and who opposed it? Russia, Iran, North Korea, Belarus, Syria, and Nicaragua introduced a last-minute amendment to the draft, which revolved around the role of external entities having a say in their domestic affairs. In short, these countries do not want outside influences dictating what they have to do inside their borders. With their amendment failing, Russia responded by saying they would “distance themselves from this document.”

You would think an agreement of this magnitude would be the lead on every news broadcast and headline across the globe. However, this news was pretty much ignored by the Mainstream Media, especially here in the West. Most people I have asked have never heard of the “Pact for the Future,” which is interesting because, with this lack of knowledge, there was very little concern about whether or not we should commit to an agenda that lays the foundation for a “New World Order.”

Global Digital Compact

On September 22, 2024, the United Nations posted this announcement on its website: “World leaders today adopted a Pact for the Future that includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations.“

Time out! What is the Global Digital Compact? Reading directly from the UN website, this Global Digital Compact (GDC) will:

Close all digital divides and deliver an inclusive digital economy
Connect all people, schools, and hospitals to the Internet
Make digital technologies more accessible and affordable to everyone, including in diverse languages and formats
Build an inclusive, open, safe, and secure digital space
Promote and facilitate access to independent, fact-based, and timely information to counter mis- and disinformation
Establish an international panel on AI and a global AI policy
The GDC calls for leveraging digital innovations to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

Deliver an Inclusive Digital Economy

Did you catch some of those keywords? They are going to “deliver an inclusive digital economy.” They are going to connect ALL people, kids (schools), and hospitals (which will be your personal medical records) together on the Internet. They will facilitate access to information, control misinformation and disinformation, and prevent it from getting out. Which means they will censor ANYONE who disagrees with their agenda.

They are going to create an international panel to form a global AI policy, which means they will use AI to control everyone globally! This agreement will advance their Sustainable Development Goals, which means ESG scores, 15-minute cities, electric vehicles, digital IDs, and digital currency will all be fast-tracked globally.

Combatting Digital Misinformation

This document says they will be “combatting digital misinformation: Governments and tech companies must work together to combat misinformation, hate speech, and cybercrime through regulations, transparency mandates, and real-time monitoring systems.”

Question: What will be considered hate speech? Answer: Anything that takes a Biblical stance, especially anything concerning marriage and gender.

Sustainable Technology Practices

Another section of this agreement is Sustainable Technology Practices. What does that mean? It means governments will now have the green light to “advocate for green technology” and to “contribute to the fight against climate change,” which means they will do whatever they wish in the name of climate change.

Universal Connectivity

This agreement says another “Key Principle of the GDC” is “Universal Connectivity,” meaning access to the Internet will now be seen as a fundamental human right. Having the Internet is now a human right! Why? Because they need it to control all aspects of human life. Meaning they need the world to be digital! We can’t feed everybody in third-world countries, but by golly, they will have digital access. The UN will make sure they have Internet over food.

After this agreement was signed, the UN released the following statement on their website:

This Pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long process to adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The most wide-ranging international agreement in many years, covering entirely new areas as well as issues on which agreement has not been possible in decades, the Pact aims, above all, to ensure that international institutions can deliver in the face of a world that has changed dramatically since they were created.

The President of the General Assembly said the Pact would “lay the foundations for a sustainable, just, and peaceful global order—for all peoples and nations.” In layman’s terms, this agreement will transform our planet into a one-world government! The Secretary-General called this agreement “UN 2.0” and said the world is now a modern UN family—a global family.

Turbo-charge the Implementation of Their Sustainable Development Goals

The UN now openly says that the “Pact for the Future” was specifically designed “to turbo-charge the implementation of their Sustainable Development Goals.” Again, their website states:

Halfway through the 2030 Agenda, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is not too late to change course if we all rethink, refocus, and recharge.

In layman’s terms, what this statement is saying is that they plan to regulate and control all forms of daily life. The “Pact for the Future” will play a more “central role of the United Nations for the global population.” In layman’s terms, “you will own nothing, and you will be happy!”

The Declaration on Future Generations

Along with the “Pact for the Future,” the UN also sealed another agreement called “The Declaration on Future Generations.” This is designed to pave the way for a sustainable future. In layman’s terms, our kids and grandkids will not be able to reverse or get out of the agreements governments are putting in place today. As they say, the goal is to influence global policy and actions for future generations.

State of Palestine

All of this may sound good to some, but let’s not forget this is the same body of decision makers—the UN General Assembly—who just four days earlier, on September 18th, voted to hand the Old City of Jerusalem, home to Judaism’s holiest sites, to what it calls the “State of Palestine.” They voted to remove Jews from Jerusalem! This action included a demand that Israel withdraw “all its military forces from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including its airspace and maritime space.” In addition, all countries were asked to boycott Israel both diplomatically and economically.

According to Scripture, this decision will be their downfall and will end in their own demise. God has said:

“I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and him who dishonors you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3).
“For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you [Israel] touches the apple of his eye.” (Zechariah 2:8).
For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem. I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage, Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land” (Joel 3:1-2).
“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior’” (Isaiah 43).

Nearing Midnight: Unsustainable

The nearness of another presidential election in America has accentuated the depth of lawlessness that exists in our nation. I have long hoped that the Lord would come before I had to endure another time of voting when deception and open gaslighting runs so deep and those who seek to destroy our nation receive vast amounts of votes and, in many cases, prevail.

I’m weary of waiting for the Lord’s appearing to take me home, but I’m also reminded that God’s judgment is surely coming to the earth. Many centuries before the birth of Christ, the Lord spoke these words to Asaph concerning the very day in which we live:

At the set time that I appoint

I will judge with equity.

When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants,

it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah (Psalm 75:2-3)

These words assure me that God will intervene in our world.

I believe it will be soon because what we now see is not sustainable for any extended length of time. I say this because:

1. America’s economy lies on the brink of utter disaster. The U.S. national debt stands at thirty-five trillion dollars and, according to some reports, is increasing by one trillion dollars every one hundred days. We are rapidly approaching the point when all the income tax monies collected from individuals will go to just pay the interest on our debt. Our economy should’ve completely collapsed long ago.

Don’t be deceived by the record-setting numbers on Wall Street; they are a façade intended to influence the upcoming election. At the time appointed by the Lord, the U.S. economy will collapse and likely play a significant role in the worldwide economic horrors described in Revelation 6:5-6.

2. The violence against children will surely bring destruction to our land. The violence against children in America is beyond horrific. God’s patience will soon run out, and judgment will fall. The murder of the unborn continues despite the overturning of Roe versus Wade. The sex trafficking of children has become a multi-billion-dollar industry in America largely because of its protection by those in power. The Democratic Party openly promotes the mutilation of children via sex change operations.

It’s not possible for such atrocities to continue apart from the Lord saying “enough” and then bringing the full force of His wrath upon our country. It’s closer than most can imagine.

3.The start of World War III is rapidly approaching. With each passing day, the world moves closer to a nuclear war among the superpowers, which will result in an unfathomable number of deaths. Each of these hot spots becomes more volatile by the day and has the potential to lead to a much greater war.

NATO continues to zoom past the red lines the Russian president sets for a nuclear response. How much longer will Vladimir Putin warn of a nuclear attack before doing so?
China appears to be on the verge of invading Taiwan.
The war in the Middle East could rapidly expand to include a conflict between the U.S. and Russia, particularly as the warfare between Israel and Iran heats up in the coming days.
North Korea is threatening both South Korea and the U.S. They have destroyed roads connecting the two countries and warned of an upcoming war.

It’s not sustainable for such saber-rattling to continue without the onset of the devastating wars such as we read about in Revelation, which will happen after the Rapture. If it were just one threat, perhaps we could see a cessation of hostilities.

4. The violence that America imports into our cities via illegal immigration will bring catastrophe to our land. During the past four years, the number of immigrants following through our southern border has soared to record numbers. The violence they have already brought to the U.S. will surely explode to greater depths in the future. It’s not possible by any stretch of the imagination to allow so many villains and Chinese men of military age into our land without disastrous results.

The billions spent to support those unlawfully in our land is one of the reasons for the crippling inflation that’s making it nearly impossible for most families to put food on the table. The thousands of dollars that the illegals receive each month increase the demand for the same amount of goods, which will keep prices at the grocery store rising unless there’s a drastic change in policy.

5. The deep political and ethnic divides in America jeopardize our future well-being. The upcoming presidential election increases the danger of violence in America. We have already seen at least two attempts to assassinate former President Trump. Should he win the election, civil unrest will most certainly erupt across our land.

President Biden is on record stating that he doesn’t believe a peaceful transition of power is possible. Is he assuming a Trump victory? Is he not already increasing the likelihood of such violence?

It’s only because of God’s patience and His restraining hand that the world has not yet felt the full force of His wrath.

However, because we don’t know the timing of these things, it’s absolutely essential that we, as believers, vote in the upcoming election. Please don’t stay home on November 5, 2024.

Donald Trump is most definitely not an ideal candidate, but he represents freedom versus the tyranny that will surely come should Harris step into the Oval Office. Her policies will surely advance the Marxist policies of the globalists and hurt a great many people.

Let me be clear: one cannot have a biblical worldview and, at the same time, support the Harris/Walz ticket. Those who vote for them will cast their ballots in favor of all the things that the Lord hates. The platform of the Democratic party is fully anti-God and anti-Scripture. How is it possible for a believer to support such a vile agenda?

Please know that my hope for the future lies solely in Jesus and in His imminent appearing to take us home to Heaven. I believe it’s too late to turn the tide of the threats that lie on the horizon for the U.S. and the world. I say that because most, if not all, of the perils listed above are not only unsustainable for the future, but they are also irreversible.

All these things point to the nearness of the Tribulation period, which, of necessity, tells us that the Rapture is ever so close.

Crossing God’s Red Line: Unless America Turns Back to God, We Will Stay on The Precipice

The truth is that although we like to claim that ours is a Christian nation, that is no longer demonstrably true. An argument can be made that we were founded upon Christian principles and once aspired to Christian ideals (albeit imperfectly throughout our national history). But that is no longer the case.

When our president makes the unfettered slaughter of unborn children a central theme of his administration, undermines God’s natural order relative to man and woman, upends the God-established covenant of marriage, and celebrates deviancy at every turn—with widespread approval within our culture—such a claim mocks God.

I say this with a broken heart.

Does that mean that we should not advocate for our nation? Of course not! John MacArthur says, “Complete noninvolvement would be contrary to what God’s Word says about doing good in society.” Wherever Christians live, they should be dedicated to the betterment of their family, their community, and their country. That is also a biblical mandate (Galatians 6:10, Titus 3:1-2)

Our Responsibility

The most dramatic example of tough faith in the midst of a pagan society—and the responsibility that the people of God bear—is given to us by Jeremiah. The “weeping prophet” was forced to witness the devastation of his beloved homeland and the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. He had faithfully warned the people of Judah that they were doomed if they did not return to the LORD (3:12-14), repenting and putting away their detestable things (4:1-2), and circumcising themselves by “[removing] the foreskins of [their] heart” (4:4).

Our first responsibility is to sound a clear warning to our wayward nation. “God will not be mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Many have been deceived into believing that flaunting wickedness has no repercussions—in this life or the next. Even in the Church, some Christians have bought into the lie that God is no longer holy and righteously indignant. They have turned the mercy of God into an unspoken or insinuated license to sin.

We must take up the message of John the Baptist: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is near!” (Matthew 3:2). Whether God’s wrath is kindled against individual nations, or the Rapture occurs and the world descends into unrestrained godlessness, or individual sinners step into eternity and fall into the hands of an angry God, this is our urgent message.

Second, while we are living in a pagan land, we can harken to the same words of encouragement God offered the exiles living in Babylon through the prophet Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 29:5-7 KJV – “Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished. And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.”

In other words, live! And while you are living and raising your own family, seek the welfare of the society in which you live.

That means that when an election occurs, support and vote for candidates who will promote the greatest good—at the local, state, and national level. Advocate earnestly for policies that honor God’s provisions for the flourishing of mankind—and respect the inalienable right for Christians to serve the true and living God.

Billy Graham said, “I also urge you to vote for another reason. I believe it is a God-given responsibility. Understand the issues… know where the candidates stand on them… ask God to guide you—and then vote. Beyond that, however, pray for our nation and its leaders—not just the President, but all who’ve been entrusted with public office.”

Frankly, that does not mean that Christians can only vote and pray for Christian candidates. Obviously, if the choice is between a convictional Christian and a pagan, I will vote for a Christian every time. But, if the contest is between two whose faith in Christ is unclear or obviously lacking, I will support the candidate who will best respect Christians as they serve the Lord and who most closely follows Christian principles. And, I recognize that despite carefully produced campaign propaganda to the contrary, no candidate—Christian or otherwise—is perfect.

Christians in other democratic nations face this challenge in every election. Indian Christians might have to choose between a fervent Hindu and a radical Muslim. Should they decline to vote? Of course not. Sitting out an election might ensure the victory of the more threatening of the two candidates. Instead, they should prayerfully consider which candidate aligns with the principles I outlined above.

The stakes in 2024 are higher than they’ve ever been. I suspect that if the Lord tarries for another four years, the stakes in 2028 will be even higher. Unless America collectively turns back to God, we will stay on the precipice—or find ourselves suddenly in total freefall as we cross God’s red line.

One of our greatest responsibilities is to advocate today for the kind of nation we want our children and grandchildren to live and thrive in tomorrow—free to worship the Lord and serve Him with all their heart and soul and mind.

Let’s not go wobbly.

Our Resolve

When I served in the legislature, one of the “dry” counties in Kentucky went through a series of “wet/dry” votes. Advocates for unrestrained alcohol sales regularly solicited enough signatures to put the issue before the voters.

The first time it happened, area churches united to defeat the measure soundly. A few years later the churches banded together to turn back the effort again, but their energy level had diminished. The third attempt saw only a handful of churches engage proactively; the county remained dry by a very slim margin. On the fourth try, only one pastor stood against the tide and by a surprising majority, the voters embraced liquor sales. The county has been wet ever since.

Satan is willing to play the long game, attacking time and time again until he wears down his target. We must be determined to persevere, even when those arrayed against us seem overwhelming and our numbers appear insufficient for the battle at hand.

In his first inaugural address on January 20, 1961, President Kennedy cited Romans 12:12 as he called Americans to a “twilight struggle, year in and year out, ‘rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation.’ ” He was describing the Cold War. But our fight is against “the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). Talk about a twilight struggle! And yet we have a Champion. And He has given us armor. We cannot grow weary in this battle or withdraw from the battlefield due to fatigue or self-pity.

There is another reality we have to face. In this life we will have trouble—”little-t” tribulations as Jesus warned in John 16:33. Our assurance is not that we will win every battle, but that He has already won the war.

This too should stoke our confidence and inspire us to keep fighting. Satan would love for us to give up. He conspires against us at every turn—and He seems to be gaining ground in this world. That is exactly what God’s Word tells us will happen in the End Times. Should we be surprised? Of course not! But neither should we be disheartened, for we know it’s getting “gloriously dark.”

No matter what persecution arises and what troubles befall us, we can cling to the bold faith of Job: “Though He slay me, I will hope in Him” (Job 13:15).

Our Hope

This brings us to our final hope—our Blessed Hope.

Do we really trust Him? Or do we merely honor Him with our lips when times are good, while our hearts are far from Him (Matthew 15:8, citing Isaiah 29:13)?

My hope is not in the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. It is not in Donald Trump or Kamala Harris—or any other candidate in this or any election. Thank goodness! All of them fall short of the glory of God. All of them will disappoint—to a greater or lesser degree.

I will be voting this November. It is my right as an American and my responsibility as a Christian. I will advocate for policies and platforms that respect God’s position on life, on marriage and morality, and on what best allows for human flourishing. Through my voice and my vote, I will plead for America to step back from the precipice and return to God.

But I will not be devastated if my preferred candidate loses, or if my beloved nation strays even further from the Lord, or if I am subject to persecution, troubles, and tragedies—because all those things are fleeting. My true citizenship is in Heaven, and I am eager to live eternally under a worthy and anointed Monarch.

Our Deliverer is Coming

Although Jeremiah had to witness the destruction of his nation, God promised to deliver him (1:19). Likewise, all of us who trust in Jesus will be delivered from the wrath to come.

We may have to witness greater paganism and wickedness. If the Lord tarries, I am sure that we will. But He is waiting because He does not wish any to perish. What a great opportunity we still have to proclaim Light to those groping in darkness, hearing to those who have not yet heard the Shepherd’s voice, healing to those beset by sickness, and life to those walking in death.

America is in the balance. More importantly, millions of souls hang in the balance. Let’s be about His work, proclaiming our Blessed Hope until He comes, praying that by “turning a sinner from the error of his way [we] will save his soul from death” (James 5:20). If we focus on that task, there might just be hope for America as well.

Every pollster from here to midnight is trying to predict the presidential race. Depending on who you listen to, Kamala Harris is winning and Donald Trump is losing or the other way around. With two weeks to go before the election, the way to ready polls is not in the win column, but in the trend column AND who is doing the polling. In addition, polling in key electoral vote states is also an indicator of how things will turn out on election night. That is, all things square and even insomuch as there is vote integrity and ballot security. But those things are not square and even given election laws in states that hold the majority of electoral votes and traditionally trend for democrat presidential candidates.

A Rasmussen poll taken October 14-17 of 2,666 likely voters indicated less than three weeks until Election Day, Trump may be taking some voters away from Harris in the race for the White House. The former President Donald Trump held a two-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris. According to Rasmussen Reports, if the election were held today, 49% of Likely US Voters would vote for Trump, while 47% would vote for Harris. Two percent (2%) say they’d vote for some other candidate and two percent (2%) are undecided. The previous survey taken October 13-16 of 2,108 likely voters indicated a dead heat with Harris and Trump tied at 48%These findings are nearly unchanged since last week, with two percent (2%) say they’d vote for some other candidate and two percent (2%) are undecided.

A Rasmussen and American Thinker October 9-13 found that 50 percent of likely voters in Pennsylvania would vote for Trump and 47 percent of likely voters would vote for Harris. Key states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Florida and Georgia are indicators. In another poll, which the leftist Washington Post says is most accurate, TIPP tracking poll of 1,212 likely voters conducted online from Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13 indicates Harris is leading nationwide 49% to Trump’s 46%. Key to this type of poll, it was conducted online, which may effect accuracy. Also, in all polls accuracy is affected by how the questions are asked and how the sampling is weighted democrat vs republican. Liberal polling organizations like those taken by the media weigh samples more heavily toward registered democrats.

Trending is important. If Trump is to be the winner, his campaign needs to show a positive trend upward in the next two weeks, culminating on election day. There are some good signs in places like Pennsylvania and Ohio, but there are 15 states that do not require voter identification to cast a vote for president. They are: ME, VT, MA, NY, PA, MD, NJ, IL, MN, NM, NV, CA, OR, WA, HA. These states comprise 207 of the 270 electoral votes needed to secure the presidency and they traditionally vote for Democratic Party presidential candidates. This give Harris a distinctive advantage. 2 Chronicles 15 speaks of Israel turning to God when it was “vexed” with adversity. Verse 7 says, “But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!” Time to get to work. Call on the Lord. Do what you can do.

Jeremiah 17:9 warns that following your heart—that is, trusting your emotions to guide you—is a bad idea because the heart is deceitful and wicked. But what about your gut instinct, that little voice inside you that occasionally whispers, “Go for it”? Or occasionally shouts, “This is a really bad idea!” Some people refer to it as intuition or a “sixth sense.” And they’ll tell you it’s never steered them wrong yet. Everyone has a story about how their gut instinct kept them from making a decision they would have regretted. Or how it prompted them to take a risk that paid off big time.

Gut instinct seems trustworthy because it’s the voice of experience. It’s the diploma from the School of Hard Knocks. As you experience things—good and bad—in life, you start to get a sense of how things work, whether you realize it or not. You start to recognize which paths lead to greener pastures and which ones lead to regret. So when you’re faced with a dilemma or choice, that hard-earned wisdom makes itself known through gut instinct. Or so the thinking goes.

The problem is, you can’t trust your gut. I don’t know about you, but my gut gets me into trouble. When I’m hungry in the evening as I’m driving home, my mind says, “You should just have a nice salad.” My gut says Taco Bell.

You can’t trust your gut instinct because it doesn’t give you the perspective you need. No matter how much you’ve experienced in life, you don’t have the wisdom to know what tomorrow will bring. Gut instinct is the result of past performance. And as any investor will tell you, past performance is no guarantee of future results.

Proverbs 16:25 cuts right to the heart of the matter: “There is a path before each person that seems right” (nlt, emphasis added). Relying on gut instinct is dangerous guesswork. A path that ends in death may seem right deep down in your gut.

Proverbs 3:5–6 offers a better plan: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take” (NLT). God’s perspective isn’t limited at all. He can see your future as well as your past. He knows exactly where every path leads. He knows the destination that will bring you ultimate joy and fulfillment, and He knows each stop along the way.

God’s path leads to abundant life. That’s why you can trust Him with all your heart.
