‘You Will Be Like God’: The Pride and Arrogance of Man’s Knowledge Is Once Again on Full Display
By Mark Henry - https://harbingersdaily.com/you-will-be-like-god-the-pride-and-arrogance-of-mans-knowledge-is-once-again-on-full-display/
Did you miss it? Just this spring, news headlines around the world were filled with the groundbreaking announcement that for the first time in human history, scientists were able to successfully resurrect a creature that has been extinct for thousands of years.
Social media posts, radio programs, podcasts, magazines, and local news broadcasts were all celebrating an historic achievement by a company called Colossal Biosciences, which announced the rebirth of a foregone canine species known as the Dire Wolf. Upon such a profound announcement, commentators immediately began touting this unprecedented accomplishment as the first “de-extinction” of a species accomplished by humanity using cutting-edge genetic technology.
By combining ancient Dire Wolf DNA that had been preserved, and DNA from modern grey wolves, then using domestic dogs as surrogate mothers to carry and give birth, three new hybridized wolves were introduced into our world. If you’re thinking this sounds eerily similar to the movie Jurassic Park, you read my mind!
While debate exists as to whether this event should be viewed as a genuine de-extinction of a species or the creation of something entirely new closely resembling its ancient progenitor (I hold to the latter), all can agree that this event stands as a truly remarkable feat facilitated by humanity’s ever-growing level of knowledge.
We are truly living in unprecedented times that have no signs of slowing down in the growth and application of technology. Whether it’s the creation of genetically altered mice containing DNA from Wooly Mammoths or the exponential advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), mankind continues to push physical, biological, and technological boundaries in the quest to advance our collective knowledge of the universe in which we live.
But what are we as Christians to make of all this? How are we to respond to such profound events? What are the implications of advancements in human knowledge and capabilities to levels previously unimaginable?
The Ancient Roots of the Knowledge Temptation
The first answer to questions like these is that we should not be surprised by achievements and occurrences of such colossal magnitude. Humanity’s hunger for knowledge and its thirst to push through boundaries in its quest to obtain it is nothing new. Quite the contrary, the appeal of knowledge is practically as ancient as the creation of man himself, originating in the Garden of Eden. Indeed, as even the newest of Christians know, the allure of knowledge is what tempted Adam and Eve when the serpent in the Garden deceptively promised them, “You will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Ge. 3:5).
More than that, rather than responding with surprise, we as believers should expect to witness continual advancements in humanity’s collective abilities, fulfilling the words spoken to the prophet Daniel regarding the last days, that “knowledge shall increase” (Da. 12:4). Thus, as we observe breakthroughs in bio-engineering, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and other cutting-edge fields of science, they should serve as indicators of just how near we are to the return of our Lord Jesus.
Returning to Adam and Eve for a moment, we would also do well to remember the consequences of their desire to be like God through the acquisition of knowledge.
It was the appeal of God-like knowledge that provoked humanity’s problem with sin to begin with. Ever since the eyes of the first man and woman were opened when they took a bite of the forbidden fruit, pain, suffering, and death have plagued humanity ever since. Yet, the ever-appealing temptation of knowledge has, and continues to cause history to repeat itself, often resulting in perilous consequences.
The pride and arrogance of man’s knowledge was displayed shortly after the great flood of Noah’s day, when the peoples of the earth were united in their ambition to build a tower that reached into the heavens to “make a name for ourselves” (Ge. 11:4) in defiance of God’s command for mankind to “be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth” (Ge. 9:1).
In recent history, the discovery of the atom quickly led to the creation of weapons of mass destruction capable of causing exponentially more damage than all other weaponry ever to exist until that point in time.
While knowledge itself isn’t inherently evil nor should the pursuit of learning be avoided, the temptation that comes with the acquisition of knowledge should always be carefully considered. The seductiveness of power, wealth, and prestige inevitably accompanies new discoveries, and with them, the temptation to deploy newfound knowledge for selfish ambitions, often resulting in unexpected or unintended outcomes. There is truth in the saying credited to English philosopher, Francis Bacon, that “knowledge is power.”
With the recent “resurrection” of the Dire Wolf, it has now been demonstrated that man’s collective knowledge of genetics is sufficient to empower the recreation and manipulation of life itself. Humanity is now capable of rewriting the genetic code of creatures brought forth by God and altering them in ways differing and departing from those originally established by their Creator. What could possibly go wrong?
I would argue that once again mankind has reached a point where we are again trying to “make a name for ourselves” as we tout our achievements, similar to those who constructed the tower of Babel. Once again, we are succumbing to the captivating pretense of knowledge that promises we can be as God. Once again, we are falling for the original lie.
Why Wisdom Must Govern Knowledge
So, what is the solution to this dilemma? How can humans continue moving forward in this advanced age of progress, innovation, and discovery without falling victim to the ever-appealing temptation of knowledge? The answer is wisdom!
Wisdom is the ability to discern that which is true or right. It is exercising sound judgment when knowledge is being applied. Proverbs 1:7 aptly points out that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” meaning that the starting point for correctly applying knowledge is to first consider what God thinks and what His Word says about humanity’s ambitions to push the limits of our knowledge. Without godly wisdom, knowledge has the potential to be dangerous.
It again reminds me of the movie Jurassic Park, when the character, Ian Malcolm, says one of my favorite quotes of all time, “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.” Wise words. If we as human beings would only stop to first contemplate whether our intentions and actions align with God’s will, we would be spared much hurt.
Obviously, we as believers cannot stop or control the aspirations of corporations, the research of educational institutions, or the decisions of governments in their pursuit of knowledge. However, we can choose how to view, interpret, and respond to the advancement of knowledge in our generation.
As Christians, we can utilize a reverential respect and holy fear of God along with a familiarity of His Word to discern whether the profound discoveries, achievements, and inventions continually making headlines are beneficial, ethical, and in alignment with the Lord’s will. We can impart godly wisdom by sharing Biblical principles with friends, family, and neighbors as well as through participation in events and opportunities that impact our communities, states, and countries. As occasions arise, we can challenge conventional wisdom with godly wisdom in an effort to point hearts and minds to God. In the end, the only real way for humanity to “be like God” intended, isn’t through the expansion of knowledge, but by placing our faith in and being transformed by the one true Man of God, Jesus Christ.

World War 3 Update: Trump’s Meeting with Putin Is Off, The President of Colombia Wants To “Take Out Trump”, And Iran Makes an Ominous Nuclear Declaration
There has been a lot of talk about “peace” this year, but meanwhile global leaders just continue to push us toward more war. Negotiations between the U.S. and Russia have broken down, President Trump just threatened Hamas with military action again, Venezuela is bracing for a potential invasion by the U.S. military, the president of Colombia wants to “take out Trump”, and the Iranians have announced that there will be no restrictions as they rebuild their nuclear program. 2025 has certainly been a year of war, but I have a feeling that global conflict is going to escalate to an entirely new level during the months ahead.
When we originally learned that there would be a second summit between President Trump and Vladimir Putin in Hungary, that sparked a tremendous amount of optimism.
But now it is being reported that Trump’s meeting with Putin is officially off…
President Donald Trump’s second summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin is off.
The White House said Tuesday that the planned meeting in Budapest, announced by Trump just last week after his two-hour phone call with Putin, was no longer in the works after Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke Monday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
There is no way to spin this to make it sound like good news.
Russia’s position on ending the war has not changed, and so U.S. officials saw no reason to proceed with the summit…
The rapid dissolution of plans for another summit between Trump and Putin just two months after they met in Alaska stemmed again from Russia’s refusal to budge from its maximalist positions on what it would take for it to halt its war in Ukraine.
In a press conference in Moscow Tuesday, Lavrov said he informed Rubio that Russia’s position — that a peace agreement must come before a ceasefire in its war with Ukraine — has not changed.
The Russians already proposed a compromise solution at the summit in Alaska, but western leaders were not even willing to consider it.
Western leaders seem to think that the Russians should just accept their terms for ending the war, but that simply is not going to happen.
The Russians are clearly winning the war, and they captured another 120 square miles of Ukrainian territory during a recent four week period…
Meanwhile, heavy fighting continues in several regions, including Kharkiv and Donetsk where Russian troops were seen advancing on Saturday, CNN reported.
Russia has gained roughly 120 square miles of territory over the past four weeks, CNN reported citing the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University.
There is only one way that Russian forces can be prevented from gobbling up even more territory.
But if NATO forces intervene in Ukraine, that will put us on the brink of nuclear war.
On the other side of the planet, the leaders of Colombia and Venezuela are very upset that the Trump administration has mobilized an invasion force in the Caribbean and has been bombing numerous ships that were suspected of carrying drugs.
During a discussion with Univision President Daniel Coronell, Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro ominously stated that if President Trump is not willing to back down the solution is to “take out Trump”…
Speaking with Univision President Daniel Coronell at the end of the interview at Casa de Nariño in Bogota, Petro said if Trump won’t change, the solution is to “take out Trump,” loudly snapping his fingers.
Petro: “Humanity has a first offramp, and it is to change Trump in various ways. The easiest way may be through Trump himself–the easiest. If not, take out Trump.”
Most Americans don’t realize this, but we really could go to war with Colombia.
Of course we could also end up in a war with Venezuela too. In fact, Venezuelan officials are so concerned about a potential U.S. attack that they are literally “sleeping in different locations every night”…
“Figures within the regime have taken to changing mobile phones, sleeping in different locations every night and purging suspected dissenters in a series of internal witch-hunts, according to multiple people with knowledge of the situation.”
Yes, Colombia and Venezuela are no match for the U.S. military.
But the forces that we have mobilized in the Caribbean would not be nearly enough to conduct a full scale invasion in the region…
The 10,000 U.S. troops now operating in the Caribbean were sent to interdict drug boats. But Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s Sept. 30 state of external emergency fundamentally changed what they’re facing: a military on full wartime alert, equipped with Russian air defenses and anti-ship missiles, backed by what Maduro claims is a militia of over 8 million members.
For American commanders, that means every operation and incident now happens under the threat of Venezuelan retaliation — a situation the current force is not ready to handle.
In the Middle East, the ceasefire deal “hangs by a thread”, and President Trump just threatened to “straighten out Hamas” by force if they do not abide by the parameters of his 20 point plan…
Donald Trump today promised to unleash death upon Hamas if the militants do not uphold their peace agreement with Israel.
‘Numerous of our NOW GREAT ALLIES in the Middle East, and areas surrounding the Middle East, have explicitly and strongly, with great enthusiasm, informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into GAZA with a heavy force and “straighten out Hamas” [sic] if Hamas continues to act badly, in violation of their agreement with us,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The president’s comments come as Vice President JD arrived in Israel for urgent talks with Benjamin Netanyahu as the Gaza peace deal hangs by a thread.
I don’t think that this ceasefire deal is going to hold for too much longer.
And it turns out that Hamas still possesses a very strong fighting force in Gaza…
As a fragile ceasefire holds in the Gaza Strip after two years of war, fresh Israeli military assessments find that the Hamas terror group still has some 20,000 members in its military wing.
According to the IDF, before the terror group’s October 7, 2023, attack, Hamas had some 30,000 fighters in the Gaza Strip, split into five regional brigades, 24 battalions, and some 140 companies.
On top of everything else, Iran is making headlines again.
Over the weekend, the Iranians declared to the world that they are no longer bound by any restrictions as far as their nuclear program is concerned…
Iran said on Saturday (Oct 18) that it was no longer bound by restrictions on its nuclear programme as a landmark 10-year deal between it and world powers expired, though Tehran reiterated its “commitment to diplomacy”.
The 2015 deal – signed in Vienna by Iran, China, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and the United States – saw the lifting of international sanctions against the Islamic republic in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear programme.
Wow.
I have no idea why this isn’t making a lot more headlines.
From this point forward, the Iranians will no longer abide by any of the provisions of the 2015 deal…
From now on, “all of the provisions (of the deal), including the restrictions on the Iranian nuclear programme and the related mechanisms are considered terminated”, Iran’s foreign ministry said in a statement on the day of the pact’s expiration.
You do realize what this means, don’t you?
At this point, there is nothing holding the Iranians back from making nuclear weapons.
On Monday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei publicly warned that Iran’s nuclear program is in far better shape than many people believe…
“The American president boasts: ‘We bombed Iran’s nuclear program and destroyed it.’” Khamenei wrote. “Okay then, keep dreaming.”
The line uploaded to Khamenei’s X account was drawn from his address on Monday to the winners of sports and science competitions.
Khamenei dismissed the claim as “nonsense spoken to console disheartened Israeli officials after an unexpected defeat in the 12-day war.”
I don’t think that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is bluffing, and I think that the Israelis fully understand this.
So I expect that the next chapter of the war between Israel and Iran is coming soon.
Meanwhile, our trade war with China just continues to escalate, we are on the verge of war with both Venezuela and Colombia, war in Gaza could erupt again at any moment, and we are dangerously close to nuclear war with Russia.
If you wanted to live during a time of wars and rumors of wars, you got your wish.
Let us hope that cooler heads prevail, because if World War 3 reaches a stage where nuclear weapons are being used, billions of people could end up dead.

How To Be Prepared for Eternity
By James Pannafino - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/10/18/how-to-be-prepared-for-eternity-by-james-pannafino/
A true believer lives a pattern of life which is conformed, over time, to what God has revealed to us about His nature and will, and this transformation will be evident by:
Walking in the light…
1 John 1:5-7 “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Living a life that is marked by sensitivity to sin, confession, and repentance…
1 John 1:8-10 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar, and his word is not in us.”
Seeking to keep God’s commands…
1 John 2:3-4 “We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, ‘I know him,’ but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.”
When we desire to know God’s will, we will strive to obey it and mourn our disobedience. These are actions of true faith!
True believers remain faithful in the most dire and stressful situations of this life. This can be seen as they:
Walk as Christ walked…
1 John 2:5-6 “But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.”
We should desire to imitate Christ and grow in His grace!
Love their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ…
1 John 2:9-10 “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.”
We should desire the fellowship of the family of God, and seek to serve each other in deed and truth.
Have an increasing scorn for the things of this fallen world…
1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”
We reject all that contradicts and opposes God’s will
We seek to faithfully live our life by honoring Him daily.
Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”
A true believer seeks to live the way of peace with all, truly desiring to be obedient to the Lord, and this is evident by:
Remaining faithful in fellowship…
1 John 2:18-19 “This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.”
Our test of faith is clearly experienced by love for His church!
A persistent longing for the return of our beloved Savior…
1 John 3:2-3 “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.”
Our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:13) is living each day for heaven!
Professing Christ to be God in the flesh…
1 John 4:1-4 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.”
The wisdom of this age is found in the truth of knowing Jesus.
A true believer pursues a lifestyle of practical faith and daily drawing near to the Lord, and this is evident by:
Personal actions of righteousness…
1 John 3:7 “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”
We should be doing those things that conform to God’s righteous standard and commands.
Overcoming the world…
1 John 5:4-5 “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Although we are often hard pressed and weary, we press on in faith, knowing our ultimate victory is sure. We continue following Christ and do not turn back!
Believing we have eternal life in Jesus…
1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”

Unlike Man’s Peace Agreements, Under the Rule of the True King, Peace Will Not Be Fragile nor Fleeting
By Pastor Dean Dwyer - https://harbingersdaily.com/unlike-mans-peace-agreements-under-the-rule-of-the-true-king-peace-will-not-be-fragile-nor-fleeting/
Although global peace continues to evade mankind, many world leaders (and almost every beauty contestant) have continued to promote it as man’s primary desire.
Of course, those same people generally believe it will be human effort which achieves this goal. Consequently, there are many powerbrokers who have attempted to bring the world’s most intractable problem to heel – peace between Israel and its Arab neighbours. Some have had limited success. Some have had stunning failures. Regardless, it has not deterred many leaders in the international community from pursuing a comprehensive peace agreement for the region.
To many, solving the Middle East peace puzzle is key to bringing peace to the rest of the world as evidenced by a section of the Abraham Accords Declaration which states exactly that: “We pursue a vision of peace, security, and prosperity in the Middle East and around the world.”
Whatever your individual thoughts on the framework of the recent agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, seeing the living hostages reunited with their families is a moment of joy and thanksgiving. While solemnly reflecting on those who did not make it out alive, we give glory to God for answering the prayers of tens of millions of people worldwide when He reunited desperate families and loved ones.
Israel is also right to be grateful for the involvement of President Donald Trump. But amongst the hyperbole which often accompanies exuberant celebrations, we must remember there is a truth to behold. During a brief interview by an Australian news journalist at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, the interviewee excitedly claimed that Donald Trump is making the world great again. There is a subjectivity to that statement, which I am sure will be debated endlessly by people on the other side of the aisle. But my greater concern was the man’s follow-up statement. He called Donald Trump “the king of peace”.
Whatever comes of the expanded Abraham Accords or similar future agreements, the fact is that peace will be fleeting.
By the time of the Second Coming, the world will be in complete turmoil. The prophet Zechariah said that prior to the Messiah’s arrival, all nations would be focused on destroying Israel. We read of this in Zechariah 12:1-3: “The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: ‘Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.’”
Although siege warfare has been an extremely effective strategy in past military campaigns, in this case, it will be a complete failure because of God’s intervention. Zechariah 12:9 reads: “It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”
God’s plan for Israel not only involves freeing them from the brutal reign of the Antichrist and the hostile nations of the world, but His plan also ultimately leads to the institution of the Millennial Kingdom. But to have a kingdom, you need a king. In Jeremiah 23:5-6 we read: “‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the LORD, ‘That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgement and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.’”
As you are able to glean from the passage, Jeremiah was referring to a future King who would establish a kingdom which would provide Judah and Israel with salvation and security. Romans 11:26-27 reads: “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.’”
Although the King’s focus is Israel, His rule is not contained to Israel. Psalm 72:8 says: “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.” The King’s throne will be in Jerusalem (Psalm 2:6), but His reign will be universal. Who is this King? Revelation 19:16 tells us it is Jesus: “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Jesus is already the anointed King, but He will not enter into His public office as King until the Millennium. An Old Testament example of this was the period of time between David’s anointing as king (1 Samuel 16:13) and his eventual enthronement (2 Samuel 5:3).
No matter how well-intentioned it was for the aforementioned man to refer to Donald Trump as “the king of peace”, the fact remains that this title should be reserved for only one Person—Jesus. Unlike man’s peace agreements, under the rule of the true King, peace will not be fragile, nor will it be fleeting.

Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Inside the dishonest scales of the census
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
On October 6, Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) strongly urged Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to correct census errors before 2030 by republishing the 2020 numbers using raw data, disclose errors, and use methods that do not inflate one side’s power. His point is simple: counting noncitizens for apportionment lets states with the largest noncitizen populations gain House seats and Electoral College votes. That concentrates political power in a few deep blue jurisdictions where voter verification is fast and loose. And where identity is not cross-checked with registrations, voter fraud escalates. This is no coincidence that the census points to states with now voter ID requirements.
The Census Bureau’s Post Enumeration Survey found significant count errors in fourteen states. Overcounts: Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Utah. Undercounts: Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas. These errors shape congressional seats, statehouse lines, and the Electoral College. States with large noncitizen populations benefit when every person present is counted for apportionment. Banks warns that overcounts in blue strongholds and undercounts in red states compound the tilt across a decade. Banks also asks Commerce to drop experimental privacy distortions and make the 2030 methods transparent so the public can trust the map.
Fourteen states and the District of Columbia let people vote in person without presenting an ID document. Identity is verified by signature, affidavit, or basic personal information. The list: California, D.C., Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont. Five of the 14 census miscount states also appear here: Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York. Others on the miscount list require ID, and several no-ID states were not miscounted. The overlap is not perfect, but the clustering is real. These states traditionally vote Democratic. Add expansive mail voting, drop boxes, and inconsistent voter roll maintenance, and you get a system that is easy to exploit and hard to audit after the fact. An honest map starts with an honest list.
If this is not fixed, the nation’s map hardens blue by procedure rather than persuasion. The remedy is to publish the unmasked 2020 data so states can validate their lines. Run the 2030 Census with transparent methods, measuring citizens and noncitizens distinctly for apportionment choices. Require documentary ID to vote, provide it free, and back it with quarterly voter roll matched to deaths and movers. Make mail-ballot authentication meaningful and keep a tight chain of custody. One eligible person, one verified vote, one accurate count. That is how you keep a constitutional republic, and how you cool a country tired of maps engineered by political agendas. As in Proverbs 16:11, “Honest weights and scales are the Lord’s; All the weights in the bag are His work.” Keeping dishonest census is worse than, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.

Daily Devotion: Hope for Those Who Have Lost Loved Ones, Part 3
by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org
Then Jesus wept. —John 11:35
https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/hope-for-those-who-have-lost-loved-ones-part-3/ - Listen
Jesus arrived at the home of Martha and Mary four days after their brother Lazarus died. The mourners were consumed by grief. Jesus’ plan all along was to raise Lazarus from the dead—to demonstrate His power and give His followers hope in the resurrection. So, His reaction in John 11:35—the shortest verse in the Bible—is telling: “Then Jesus wept” (NLT).
Jesus weeps with us in our time of pain. Jesus was God with all His power and glory. But He was also a man—a man who felt our pain and sorrows.
Isaiah 53:3 says, “He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief” (NLT). Hebrews 2:17–18 explains why. “Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested” (NLT). If something breaks your heart, it breaks His heart as well.
But sadness wasn’t the only emotion He experienced. John 11:33 says, “When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within him, and he was deeply troubled” (NLT). He wasn’t angry at the mourners; He was angry at death. Death and suffering are aberrations. They were not part of God’s original plan. They were part of the curse after mankind’s Fall. That’s what Jesus was angry about.
Jesus demonstrated His power over death by bringing Lazarus back to life. And God was glorified. The obvious takeaway is that God is glorified when an affliction is removed. So, if you’re healed from an illness or declared cancer-free, praise Him for it. Celebrate the fact that He is ultimately in control.
Sometimes, though, the surgery doesn’t go as hoped. Sometimes the illness isn’t healed. Sometimes the problem isn’t taken away. And here’s the not-so-obvious takeaway: God can be glorified through the enduring of an affliction as well.
The apostle Paul wrote, “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment” (Romans 5:3–5 NLT). Hope comes through hardship. When a Christian suffers and still glorifies God, it reassures others that there will never be a valley so deep that God will not get us through it.
It also reminds us that physical death is not the end; it’s just a change in the state of existence. The tomb is the entrance to life. Heaven is the earthly life of the believer, glorified and perfected. When believers die, they go into God’s presence. That is the ultimate hope.
Put your hope in God. He will never let you down.

"Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!"
"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey

And still they’ll never attain the wisdom of GOD! I guess they’re so afraid of dying, and would rather live in a fake copy of an absolutely amazing human body (that God bestowed on them) than be accountable to God Himself and learn ALL the secrets of the universe, and live forever with Him. It’s kinda sad actually…they’ll kill and destroy everything beautiful on earth to get to their unattainable goals.
