“Would you ever consider altering your genetics?”

It was late in the afternoon when I popped the question to my unsaved friend. It was a complete change of subject, but she was used to that. We’ve known each other for a long time.

She fingered the stem of her glass and glanced at me sideways. “I don’t think I understand,” she replied. “Do I need to?”

“I mean, would you ever knowingly choose to do anything at all that would change your body’s DNA structure from what it is now to something else?”

She flushed and set her jaw. Her gaze narrowed as she stared at some vague point above my head. Uh oh! I was familiar with that look.

After a few awkward moments, she mechanically answered, “Uh, no…no, I don’t think so.” She was lost in a new train of thought, and she was uncomfortable. I decided to drop the subject.

Despite our enduring friendship, my friend and I are polar opposites politically. Name any platform of the far left, and she’s likely to be an ardent supporter. She’s been in a quiet fury ever since November 8, 2016. Her rage is palpable whenever she’s part of any conversation where the parameters of the discussion unmask her preferred talking points.

We are also light years apart spiritually. I know this because we’ve had candid talks. They are easier to navigate than our political discussions. But as a result, she knows the gospel, although she refuses to believe it. She also knows she may wake up someday to a world where I, and many others have disappeared. I’ve told her this, and she thinks I’m nuts.

I’ve watched my friend over the past few decades we’ve known each other. She’s changed a lot during that time, and I regret to say I feel I know her less now than I once did. I have no desire to embarrass my friend, but my relationship with her illustrates some real problems that many of us encounter with unsaved dyed-in-the-wool liberals, regardless of our genuine friendships with them.

She’s joined virulent women’s marches, and she owns a funny-looking pink hat. She’s swooned at Obama rallies, and she’s protested at Trump rallies. She’s shouted at people who question global warming, she’s railed against the “Jewish occupation.” She’s cursed plans for energy independence, she’s berated the “racism” of our country’s border laws, and she has opposed all uses of the phrase “Radical Islamic Terrorism.” And I’ve only scratched the surface of her evolving attitudes and behaviors.

All things considered, my friend is utterly lost.

When I look at her, I see someone who is likely to miss the Rapture because she is unrepentant. She has made consecutive choices to resist the truth of God’s Word. I also see someone who has spurned patient reason and wise counsel, and who has swallowed the fallacies of progressive globalism “hook, line, and sinker.”

Unless God intervenes, her fate seems set. I have prayed for my friend multiple times, but she’s a perfect picture of one who has “… refused to love the truth and so be saved” according to 2 Thess. 2:10.

But it’s the verse after that one that has me thinking these days. If my friend misses the Rapture and transitions into a world where millions of people have just disappeared, then chances are good she’s going to receive God’s “powerful delusion so that [she] will believe a lie” (2 Thess. 2:11).

She’s exactly the sort of person that would fall for it. She refuses God’s truths, but she believes all the lies on this side of the Rapture that prop up prized liberal positions: global warming, conservatives-are-bigots, capitalism is bad, abortion, socialism, globalism, fascism, and other mindless “isms.” She trusts “fake news,” so she’s stopped using common sense. She’s conditioned to buy into the greatest lie of all time that will be foisted upon this God-rejecting world.

But what will this “powerful delusion” be? Does the Bible tell us, or are we left wrestling with clues? Let’s take stock of what we do know about it, and we’ll begin with the obvious points.

First, God is behind it. This is according to 2 Thess. 2:11, but it’s really according to the whole Word of God. Nothing happens without God’s sovereign control, and the text here says “God will send them a powerful delusion.” It’s pretty straightforward.

It also has clear precedent. God “hardened Pharaoh’s heart” so that He could divinely judge Egypt (Exodus 7:3-4). He’s going to send this forthcoming “powerful delusion” so that “….all will be condemned who have not believed the truth….” (2 Thess. 2:12). Whatever’s coming, it amounts to God’s divine judgment against a prescribed population, and as things stand now—that includes my friend.

That leads me to a second aspect of this “powerful delusion:” It’s a supernatural display; something much more than tsunamis and tornadoes. Just as God judged Pharaoh and the rest of Egypt with miraculous events, so I believe this “powerful delusion” will also incorporate displays that are unnatural, unearthly, and altogether paranormal.

This is also plain in the text; 2 Thessalonians 2:9 says this will be a time where the world sees “….every kind of power, including miraculous signs and lying wonders.” Satan has an agenda here, and he’s going to employ counterfeit miracles to wow the masses and fool an unregenerate world. We can look back to Egypt again where Pharaoh’s magicians emulated some of Moses’ miraculous signs to dupe Pharaoh.

Third, I believe this “powerful delusion” comes after the Rapture. Paul develops Thessalonians chapter 2 under the topical truth of “….our being gathered to Him” in the first verse. He subsequently reassures his readers they are not in the day of the Lord, a horrific time in the future which I believe the totality of scriptural evidence argues comes after the Rapture.

It’s not my intent here to explain all the sound biblical reasons which support a pre-Tribulation Rapture. Plenty of people have already done that very well. That said, I feel this third point is supported by the arrangement of this portion of 2 Thessalonians. It is after Paul discusses the Rapture and the day of the Lord that he raises the topic of this “powerful delusion. No details are ever left to chance in God’s Word.

The last obvious point I want to draw attention to is this “powerful delusion” is associated with the Antichrist. Specifically, the Antichrist is “revealed” as part of this delusion. With the greater body of Scripture weighed, this may have as much to do with the events surrounding the Antichrist’s true “coming out” around the midpoint of the Tribulation as it does with his earlier political debut on a global stage.

The Bible teaches that Satan will be highly invested in this “man of lawlessness.” The devil will strategically employ a no-holds-barred choreography of supernatural phenomena which will deceive the world into believing they’ve finally found the one who can lead them into their long-awaited utopia.

So, let’s summarize these obvious points in a few coherent sentences:

To bring divine judgment on those who have refused and mocked the gospel, God will give Satan latitude to deceive the post-Rapture world on a massive scale. Since he persists in the belief he can defeat God’s plans with his own, Satan will introduce supernatural “signs and wonders” into the sphere of natural human experiences. These preternatural events—while extremely convincing—will still be shams. However, they will be effective in persuading the masses who have already rejected the truth, and this population will support the antichrist’s claims and fall into step with his agenda.

If that’s all true, and I believe God’s Word means what it says, then there are some resultant implications that must be considered. To illustrate, if a flood destroys a property and sweeps away a home, we can assume the family that lived there will be looking for different housing. We may learn nothing specific about that family after the flood, but that’s still a reasonable conjecture.

In the same vein of reasoning, there are sensible assumptions which follow the obvious truths we just extracted from 2 Thessalonians. And since human nature has remained consistent throughout history, here’s one of them: Someone is going to have to explain the Rapture.

Remember, it’s the folks that already refused to believe the truth that got left behind. Many of them, just like my friend, will have plainly heard the gospel and even something about the Rapture. But many of those will still refuse to believe the truth even after God miraculously removes His Church from the earth.

It’s the same sinful stubbornness that will prevent some people from repenting even after enduring God’s Tribulation judgments (Rev. 9:20-21; 16:9; et al). Again, they’ll know the truth. They’ll know God’s behind it all, and they’ll know they should repent (Rev. 14:6), but they’d rather curse God instead.

For people who willfully persist in these types of choices, an “alternate explanation” for the Rapture will be propagated. This lie will seem reasonable to foolish minds, and as “seeing is believing” has always been the standard by which most people are persuaded, this lie is probably one which is heard and seen.

This is a perfect time for this great deception, and the obvious points of 2 Thessalonians conform well to this premise. That raises the next sensible assumption which is Satan’s “miraculous signs and lying wonders” will build on current ideas.

We did not land on the moon right after the invention of flight. Planes had to be designed which could fly faster and further, and an entire space program had to be developed. It took time and process for our nation to collectively believe they could put a man on the moon.

In the same way, the world you and I live in right now is cozying up to some strange ideas. These ideas have been gathering force over time, and they’ve now gained considerable support. Here are a few of them which may play a role in this upcoming “powerful delusion:”

WE ARE NOT ALONE. Christians already know this. According to the Bible, we are surrounded by “principalities and powers in heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12). These intelligent entities strive against us and seek to disrupt God’s intentions. These are fallen angels and demons, and God’s Word is clear they wish to destroy us.

The unredeemed world sees it differently. They are convinced that aliens from other planets exist, and one day we will make contact with them. Furthermore, there are many who believe these aliens are a superior race of beings who will infuse humanity with new wisdom and enlightenment when they arrive. Some people believe these aliens put humans on planet Earth. This leads to the second idea which is gaining support and energy in the world today.

WE MUST EVOLVE. A popular bumper sticker states, “Evolve or die.” It’s a marketing spin on Darwin’s concept of “survival of the fittest,” and according to some opinions, this applies to people too. Evolution teaches that less capable variants of a particular species are removed through natural selection. They eventually disappear while the stronger and more capable ones remain.

It’s easy to see where this could lead. The people that subscribe to Darwin’s ideas, and who believe those ideas apply to you and me, are already obsessing over “humanity’s next evolutionary leap.” It will not be difficult for proponents of this view to believe that they are the “fitter and stronger” form of homo sapiens since they remain after the Rapture. It was all those fuddy-duddy Christians that were removed.

WE MUST BE RESCUED FROM OURSELVES. This is the deep-seated fixation among secularists that we are doomed to destroy ourselves unless there is outside intervention.

Christians say, “This is true. We need Jesus Christ. He came to die for sinners (Rom. 5:8) and to deliver people from the righteous wrath of God. Jesus gives us eternal hope outside the bounds of this fallen world and beyond a creation that groans under the effects of sin (Rom. 8:22).”

But the unregenerate world doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ any way, shape, or form—remember? They choose a spin which places duty into their own hands. That’s why they tout global warming, population control, carbon credits, re-useable grocery bags, cloth diapers, EVs, and bicycles.

The common thread underlying their passions goes something like this: “We are destroying our planet, and humanity is threatened with extinction. Unless something radically changes, we’re toast.”

The unregenerate world is prepping for a savior, but not one “acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). They don’t want God’s only Son who was sent into this fallen world so that we might live through Him (1 John 4:9).

Instead, they want flash and dash, and a whole lot of muscle and hustle. It’s no coincidence that superhero movies dominate the box office these days. From Captain America to X-Men, and from Wonder Woman to Guardians of the Galaxy, the masses are being subtly indoctrinated to the idea that we need a champion – a “superhero” – to save the world.

That raises a legitimate question. What does Marvel Comics have to do with the marvelous commentary of the Scriptures?

More than you may realize. I think it leads to our last sensible assumption from chapter two of 2 Thessalonians which is the days of Noah are indeed returning. Jesus stated this in Matthew 24:37, and we must soberly consider why He picked that specific time of history to describe a future time when He would return.

The world in Noah’s time was an unusual place according to Genesis 6:1-4. It was a time when the supernatural was blended with the natural. Fantastic “heroes and men of renown” existed alongside normal people. They performed tremendous feats, and the world was deceived by them. People rejected the truth, but believed a lie, and Satan did everything he could do to prevent God’s plan from being fulfilled. In other words, this part of the past was a lot like what the future may be like.

All the ingredients are present for an encore of Noah’s time. Transhumanists believe we are already living in the fifth epoch. That’s what they call the next stage of evolution when human intelligence merges with technology. If movies are your reference point, think Robocop, The Terminator, or even Avatar.

It’s no longer science fiction. The “singularity” goal of transhumanists imagines people becoming “spiritual machines.” Transhumanists want to “resurrect” our minds onto supercomputers, allowing people to be immortal. They imagine flesh and bone blending with machines and other technologies, and bodies which are resistant to disease. They want mankind’s powers to be limitless.

Enormous budgets are being tapped to support their goals. Prominent transhumanists include notable entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel who founded the Singularity University and the Future of Humanity Institute. Their ideas are embraced by public companies like Google, Apple, and Tesla.

Meantime, scientists are working overtime to blend the human genome with the DNA of animals. Real human-animal hybrids are already alive and well on terra firma, and if the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has their way, there will be many more. In August of 2016, the NIH proposed that the moratorium on taxpayer funding of certain human-animal experiments be lifted. We’ve reached a point where the egg cannot be put back in the shell.

As the unregenerate world supports the violation of God’s laws and the rejection of His good news, the greater prophetic Scriptures provide tantalizing insights to consider alongside our 2 Thessalonians text.

As a case in point, the antichrist and the false prophet are “captured and thrown alive into the lake of burning fire” (Rev. 19:20) when Jesus Christ returns. They are the first two recipients of this eternal fate, and they are later joined by Satan who is similarly apprehended and put away for good in Rev. 20:10.

But if you blinked, you missed it.

All three: the antichrist, the false prophet, and Satan, bypass the great white throne judgment. It’s this event in which faithless humanity from all the ages is tried by God before being tossed into the burning sulfur. Rev. 20:11-15 describes it, and a key point is nobody is overlooked.

Hebrews 9:27 prescribes this fate with uncompromising words, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” In other words, if you reject Christ, you will be judged and sent to hell. No exceptions.

But the burning lake of hell was also intended for “the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41), or stated in other terms – unregenerate, evil, rebellious non-humans. Does….that….mean….the Antichrist….and the false prophet….are not….human? Could be. It could also mean they are not fully human.

Let’s weigh this “not fully human” idea from a different vantage point. In Revelation 14, three angels fly through the heavens and loudly proclaim their divine messages to “all those that dwell upon the earth.” It’s the third angel’s message in Rev.14:9-11 that announces if anyone worships the antichrist and his image and takes his mark, then they are condemned to the eternal lake of fire.

It’s cut and dried. There’s no going back on this one, and no one can repent once they take the mark. God’s efforts to extend mercy and grace no longer apply to these individuals anymore. Put another way, those who take the mark of the beast are already judged.

I believe there’s much more than a choice at play here—there’s a change. I think this change ties into the same reason the Antichrist and the False Prophet bypass the Great White Throne judgment and are thrown directly into the lake of fire, instead.

I’ll wrap things up by shooting straight here. I am one of many people who earnestly study the prophetic Scriptures while keeping an honest eye on our present times and trends. I therefore believe those who elect to take the mark of the beast will knowingly choose to change their body’s DNA structure from what it is now—to something else.

They will be under enormous pressure to make this decision, not the least of which are basic reasons of personal welfare. The Bible makes this clear in Rev. 13:17. However, there will also be a desire to follow their leader, and to be invincible like him (Rev. 13:3-4).

I have little doubt that those who take the mark will be taking some element of the Antichrist in the process. Subsequent passages in Revelation 16:2 and 16:10 show that those who take the mark will physiologically and adversely react to this foreign agent. Nevertheless, humanity will be persuaded that by doing so, they can evolve beyond what they have been to something more.

But this decision to take the mark of the beast will render anyone who does so as someone who is no longer 100 percent in the image of God according to Genesis 1:27. They would partly take on the image of the beast which may explain why they also become unredeemable. The mark is a mortal decision with irreversible consequences.

We can hardly imagine the turbulent era that lies ahead for the post-Rapture world. But I am sure the persuasive deceptions and powerful delusions of that time will build generously on the godless ideas and passions that are taking shape even now.

Wherever the depravities of man can forge alliances with entities, technologies, systems, and ideologies that further distance him from his Creator, it is there that his dark heart is sure to go.

Why Are Many Jews Loyal to A Party That Has Long Been Against Israel?

In 2019 I wrote an article titled “Under a Spell.” I was trying to help Christians who were inquiring of me as to why Jews always seem to vote Democrat when, in fact, the Democrat Party does them no favors! Additionally, that party has long been anti-Israel.

Now I am reading that it is Jews who may be the biggest influencers of the 2024 election—because many won’t be voting Democrat. They have had some wake-up calls and many now realize that leftists are far more pro-Hamas than pro-Israel. In fact, much of the world has been cheering for Hamas. Find a fascinating article here.

Yet many Jews will maintain their loyalty to a party that has never treated them well. Here are some reasons why, from my 2019 article. And yes, it seems many remain under a spell.

The History

In the 1940s, the Jews overwhelmingly supported a President who was their enemy — Franklin Roosevelt. Over 90% of Jews voted for him in 1944. He looked the other way to the evils of the Holocaust. He could have saved hundreds of thousands if American troops just would have bombed the railroad tracks going to the camps. Roosevelt had no interest in intervening.

God removed him from the presidency before 1948, as he would not have voted for the independent State of Israel as did Harry Truman.

Many Jews voted for two anti-Semites — Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. No two U.S. Presidents did more damage to Israel than these men — yet they got the Jewish vote, by and large, though the Jews grudgingly voted for Carter! Jews also voted for Joe Biden, who also schemes night and day against Netanyahu and Israel.

Today’s Insanity

Today, we have two Muslim Congresswomen, Ilhan Omar from Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib from Michigan. Ilhan Omar is a shady character at best and would delight in the destruction of Israel, but many Minnesota Jews voted for her! I know, because I live here! It makes no sense. Isn’t it time to move on to someone who supports them?

I was present a few years ago at a local AIPAC meeting that featured another Muslim, Keith Ellison. What is a Muslim doing at ANY Jewish gathering?? He was celebrated that night with cheers. Ellison wants Sharia Law in Minnesota and other states! Yet Minnesota Jews were among those who voted Ellison in as Minnesota’s Attorney General.

So How Do We Make Sense of This?

Just as Evangelicals are taught to embrace candidates with more conservative principles and worldviews, Jews are taught to value the underdog in life — the persecuted, the minority, the downtrodden, the helpless. Since THEY are a minority, they must stand with other minorities who might be misunderstood, persecuted, and marginalized. Though leftists really don’t care about any life but their own, there is the misperception that the Democrat Party exists to lift up the marginalized.
Many Jews just lack a loyalty to Judaism and Israel. They actually have MORE loyalty to liberalism than to the Jewish State or their heritage. Secularism leads to terrible choices!
Most often their grandparents fled from Socialist nations that were oppressive, yet leftist politics seems to remain in their DNA. Israel was founded on Socialist principles. Most are fine with Socialism. Again, there is the misperception that Socialists actually care about anyone.
Many Jews remain in spiritual blindness. Does this blindness bleed over into other areas? Perhaps. Most cannot even see the Messiah in Isaiah 53. But Paul wouldn’t give up on the Jews and neither should we! Know that the spiritual picture is changing by the hour today.
Today, many Jews are secular and not religious. Secularists have no loyalty to traditional marriage, pro-life causes, religious freedom, etc. The result is their affinity for the Democrat Party and liberal values. Live and let live!
There is the perceived mistreatment by the Jews of the Palestinians, which drives some Jews away from conservatism and any identity with the “religious right” that is ardently pro-Israel.
More religious Jews and Orthodox Jews have voted Republican consistently.

It Is Not Just the Jews Who Are Blind

The blindness of the Jews has already been referenced here, but it is not just Jews who are blind today. Much of the world cannot see the truth. Even many Christians are blind to the signs of the times breaking all around us! Most Christians are focused on earthly interests, lacking the eternal view.

Those who see the truth and love the truth are few in number, be they Jew or Gentile! I call the real truth seekers today “remnant believers.”

Maybe we make sense of it by understanding that the Jews will fall for the biggest political con man in history — Mr. Antichrist, so perhaps the current lack of discernment is a set-up. But at that time, they will be fed up by abandonment and betrayal and fall for his lies. They will be drawn to his offers of security and safety. They will be terrified by out-of-control global anti-Semitism.

Let’s pray that both Jews and Gentiles get their spiritual eyes opened while there is still time. The forthcoming Tribulation, from which the Church is absent, is called the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. It will be a dark time like no other—particularly for the Jewish people. This seven-year time of agony will far exceed the horrors of the Holocaust and October 7 for the Jews. Can you imagine?

We need to focus on rescuing ALL people from this frightful time to come. And from the flames of a Godless eternity.

Author’s note: This article was originally posted in 2010. The thoughts expressed are even more relevant today, while issues and events are literally exploding all around us, pointing to the soon-coming time of Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week).

One of the most false and cutting accusations launched at the belief that the Bible teaches that a person cannot lose his or her salvation when truly born again (John 3:3) is: “If you believe once saved, always saved, you are saying that people can live any way they want without fear of punishment.” Or so the line of condemning criticism goes.

The absolute assurance of eternal security, of course, engenders no such thought within the mind truly regenerated by the saving power of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that the Lord convicts His children in their spirits and that habitual, unrepented-of sin will result in severe penalties–even physical death, in some cases. The Heavenly Father’s patience is longsuffering, but it is not infinite.

A person who is a child of God cannot sin without severe repercussions if repentance isn’t forthcoming. But that person will never be kicked out of God’s family. Never.

A kindred sort of accusation is thrown at those who believe in the Pre-Trib view of Bible prophecy. The Pre-Tribulation view, of course, is the one we at Rapture Ready believe God’s Word teaches. It is the view that Jesus Christ will call all who are born again to Himself before the Tribulation, which is the last seven years of history leading to the Second Advent (Rev. 19: 11).

The angry diatribe against the Pre-Trib Rapture view–by even genuine Christians, in many cases–usually goes something like this: “People like you, who believe that the Lord is going to rapture them before the Tribulation, think you can live however you want, because you think and teach falsely that you are going to be rescued before God’s judgment and wrath fall, no matter what.”

The non-Christian accusers who castigate those of us who hold the Pre-Trib rapture view have their own version. It goes something like: “Christians who believe like that don’t care anything about making the world better. You even hope for things to get worse and worse. You wish for earthquakes, famines, pestilence, war in the Middle East, and for Armageddon to hurry up and get here so you will go to your pie in the sky and watch the rest of us get ours.”

Although the first criticism is absolutely not true, I have to admit that, regarding the second, too often I’ve sensed–even heard–such sentiments from some of those who believe in the Pre-Trib rapture. And it is entirely the wrong attitude for the Christian to hold. There are no excuses for wanting the Christ-rejecting world of non-believers to be the recipients of God’s judgment and wrath. It is only by God’s unfathomable grace that every one of us isn’t headed into that time of unprecedented horror.

No matter how–to use Lot’s King James Version word–“vexed” we become by the debauched, debased actions of the lost world around us, our job as Christ’s children–His representatives here on earth–is of a completely different nature than wanting to see them “get what’s coming” to them. The changed nature produced by being born again into God’s eternal family should make you and me do just the opposite of wanting them, in our vexation, to get what we see as coming to them.

The Christian whose spirit is attuned to the Holy Spirit’s desire for the lost doesn’t want to see them “get what’s coming to them” either during the Tribulation or upon death. Rather, we want to do all within our power to keep them from having to go through the coming time of God’s judgment and wrath. That’s what Christ’s Great Commission to His disciples before He ascended to sit at the Father’s right hand is all about, you see. That is what God’s love–love that those who have Christ indwelling them possess–is all about. (Read Matthew 28:18-20.)

In the same vein, that’s what Bible prophecy is all about. Prophecy given in God’s Word has purpose–profound purpose. Bible prophecy has at its center the commission from the Lord to forewarn of God’s judgment and wrath to come upon all who oppose Him–the Lord of Heaven and Creator of all things. It is not the hatred of God for the lost people of this fallen planet that drives prophecy. It is the love of God that powers His prophetic Word. It must be the Christian’s desire, therefore, to study Bible prophecy and put forth those forewarnings out of a spirit of God’s love, not through an anger-filled abhorrence of those who are lost.

Christians who do study prophecy–and they seem to be few these days, I’m sad to have to say–are often heard wondering about when Christ will call the church (born-again believers) in the rapture. Everything seems so ripe for His plucking His people from this sin-darkened sphere.

Nothing and no one can change God’s timing for His next catastrophic intervention into Earth’s history. It will happen exactly on time, as He has determined since before the foundation of this world. However, we might as believers look to ourselves for the Lord’s–often in our view–delay in calling us as outlined in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

The apostle Peter gave the heart of the reason Christ hasn’t raptured His church: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9).

The purpose of Bible prophecy is to show the love of God to a lost and otherwise doomed world. God is not willing that anyone should perish (die in his or her sins) but that all should come to repentance (accept Jesus Christ as the one and only sacrifice for sin that God will accept).

The Lord is “longsuffering.” The reason, I’m convinced, that the Lord seems so “slack” to many in His coming is because those same people have neglected their duty to share the love of God with the lost–the lost whom God loves so very much that He sent His only begotten Son in order that they not perish.

It is well past the time for God’s people to begin investing in getting the message of the love of God to those who will otherwise not hear the warning of deadly things soon to befall this Christ-rejecting planet. Considering these times that so dramatically are signaling the coming Tribulation, Bible prophecy can and must be used as a productive tool for evangelism.

But everyone can see what is happening. There are sexual predators in the highest levels of government, there are sexual predators in the highest levels of the business world, and there are sexual predators in the highest levels of the entertainment industry.

While he was CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, Mike Jeffries turned it into a global fashion powerhouse.

But now he has been charged with operating an “international sex trafficking and prostitution business” that involved dozens of young men…

Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries and two others were arrested Tuesday as part of a criminal investigation into the alleged sex trafficking of more than a dozen victims, according to the FBI and federal prosecutors.

Jeffries; his partner, Matt Smith; and a third man, Jim Jacobson, are accused of operating an international sex trafficking and prostitution business that recruited young men for parties in the U.S. and abroad, according to a 16-count indictment.

It is being reported that Jeffries used his position to “lure young men into sex by suggesting they could become models” for Abercrombie & Fitch.

For years, these very young men were the star attraction at massive sex parties that were held all over the world.

Because he was the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, Jeffries had all the resources that he needed to make his twisted wishes come true…

The former retail executive and Smith relied on their vast financial resources, Jeffries’ power as the CEO of Abercrombie, and numerous people, including Jacobson and a network of employees, contractors and security professionals, to run a business “that was dedicated to fulfilling their sexual desires and ensuring that their international sex trafficking and prostitution business was kept secret,” the indictment alleges.

Federal prosecutors said the trio allegedly paid dozens of men to travel around the world to engage in sex acts over at least a seven-year period, starting in late 2008. The indictment mentions 15 alleged victims, identified as John Does #1-#15. Jeffries allegedly recruited, hired and paid a slate of household staff to “facilitate and supervise the Sex Events.”

Abercrombie & Fitch is a household name.

In recent years, many of the biggest names in the entertainment industry worked as models for Abercrombie & Fitch…

Over the years, big stars modeled for the brand, often before they made it big. Celebrity A&F models included Jennifer Lawrence, Karlie Kloss, Lindsay Lohan, Sienna Miller, Penn Badgley, Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Dornan, Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, January Jones, and Olivia Wilde.

If it wasn’t for some daring reporters that were willing to do some digging, Jeffries may have totally gotten away with his crimes.

In 2014, he left the company with a retirement package that was worth more than 25 million dollars…

Jeffries became CEO of the company in 1992, and left in 2014 with a reported retirement package of over $25 million, according to the lawsuit. Abercrombie & Fitch said it had no comment on the arrest.

Of course these revelations about Jeffries have come out at a time when allegations about Sean “Diddy” Combs have been shocking the entire globe.

Diddy was once one of the hottest names in the entire entertainment industry, but now we are learning what was really going on behind the scenes.

In addition to everything else that has already been alleged, now he is being charged with “drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl as two celebrities joined in”…

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of allegedly drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl as two celebrities joined in at a VMAs afterparty in New York two decades ago, according to a new wave of lawsuits.

The disturbing allegations were laid bare in a slew of civil lawsuits filed against the fallen music mogul in the Southern District of New York late Sunday.

According to this new court filing, Diddy had “a crazed look in his eyes” as he raped this very young girl…

“Combs aggressively approached Plaintiff with a crazed look in his eyes, grabbed her, and said, ‘You are ready to party,’” the filing added.

The woman alleges she was then pinned down and raped by Combs and the male celebrity as the unnamed female star watched.

These elitists seem to love to target very young kids for some reason.

Diddy got away with abusing victims for years and years.

Fortunately, he is in big trouble now, but there are countless others just like him that are still out there.

Our society is in far bigger trouble than most people realize.

At this point, even 75 percent of all Christian men “use pornography to some degree”…

The recently released study, Beyond the Porn Phenomenon, conducted by the Barna Group in partnership with Pure Desire Ministries, found pornography use is prevalent among all demographics and the gap between Christians and non-Christians is shrinking significantly.

Around 54% of Christians and 68% of non-Christians reported viewing pornography. And among Christians, 75% of Christian men and 40% of Christian women use pornography to some degree.

In the old days, most people at least understood that what they were doing was wrong, but now much of the population is quite comfortable with their use of pornography…

Perhaps because of the ubiquity of pornography, some 62% of the Barna survey respondents expressed some level of comfortability with their use of the explicit material, with 49% of practicing Christians saying they were comfortable with their use of pornography (compared to 73% of non-Christians). Across the board, 16% admitted having some reservations about it, but said they found moderate use acceptable. Only 14% expressed a desire to eliminate pornography from their lives altogether.

This epidemic is a major national crisis, but it gets very little attention.

If you are trapped by addiction, I would urge you to get right with God and get free while you still can.

We like to think of ourselves as a shining example for the rest of the world, but the truth is that we are a very wicked generation.

If we do not find a way to reverse course and start doing what is right, a day will come when we shall certainly reap what we have been sowing all these years.

Ever wonder how terrorists such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, the Houthis and probably about a dozen other terrorist groups the weapons they use against Israeli civilians? Ever think about how all this escalation in terror activity against Israel came about under the Biden-Harris Administration, but was a low tide during the Trump presidency? These are fair questions that should be answered and play a significant role in the upcoming presidential election, but people are so wrapped around the “poor Palestinian” axel that they can’t see the truth that has resulted in the genocidal and populist chant the world keeps repeating, “from the river to the sea.” The US government actually has the answer.

The US Energy Information Administration is required by law to submit a report describing Iran’s petroleum exports to Congress. The report clearly demonstrates that after reaching a low of $16 billion in exports of oil and oil products under the Trump sanctions in 2020, Iran’s petro dollars made a dramatic, perhaps historic increase when the Biden-Harris Administration lifted the Trump sanctions. During Biden-Harris, Iran’s petroleum export sales increased more than three hundred percent from Trump’s $16 billion in 2020 to Biden-Harris’ $37 billion, $54 billion and $53 billion from 2021 through 2023. The report said that in November 2018, the US officially reimposed all the sanctions that were lifted in the Obama 2015 nuclear deal and by May 2019, Iran was under complete sanctions on oil exports.

When Biden-Harris came into office, those sanctions were lifted. According to Breitbart News, Iran made “$144 billion in revenue during the first three years of the Biden-Harris administration. This includes $37 billion in 2021, significantly up from the $16 billion Tehran made in 2020, the last year of the Trump administration. Oil revenue rose to $54 billion in 2022 and hit $53 billion in 2023, showing that Tehran’s trade in crude remained at historically high levels. Iran is on pace for another big year in 2024, exporting more than $34 billion in oil through October.” This and the hundreds of billions of dollars Biden-Harris unfroze in Iranian assets lined the pockets of the world’s foremost sponsor of terror and Israeli genocide.

Haaretz of Israel reported October 15 that “since the Hamas attack of October 7, Israel has recorded over 28,000 alerts warning of imminent rocket, missile or drone attacks from Gaza, Lebanon, Iran Yemen, Iraq and Syria.” The number of missiles, drones, and rockets associated with those alerts are in the hundreds of thousands. This war against the citizens of Israel was made possible in a large part by the Biden-Harris lifting of sanctions against Iran, providing billions of dollars for Iran to fund the terrorists against Israel. Genesis 12:3 says of Israel, “I will bless them that bless you and curse him that curses you.” Surely, Iran and the terrorists will have their reward, and those behind the scenes that facilitated it are also responsible. Siding with terrorists is horrible. Voting to keep those who fed the terror machine in office is, say it with me, Stupidocrisy.

Fragrance is a tricky thing. The right scent, applied in the right amount, can be pleasant and attractive. On the other hand, the wrong scent—or the right scent applied too heavily—can be an annoyance. You probably know someone who wears too much cologne or perfume. Someone who splashes it on by the handful. Someone who makes sure that everyone they come into contact with walks away smelling like them. You don’t want to be that person.

Paul uses fragrance to illustrate what happens when Christians share our faith. When Christians enter a room—or enter a conversation—the knowledge of Christ can be like a sweet perfume. Under the right circumstances, it draws people a little closer and lingers, in a good way, after we leave.

Of course, different people have different reactions to fragrances. A pleasing scent to one person may be a stench to others. And something that’s a pleasing scent in one context may not be in another. Take garlic as an example. It’s delicious on food and smells good when it’s cooking. But it doesn’t smell so great on someone’s breath afterward, does it?

The same goes with living in a godly way and sharing your faith. Some people will be attracted to it; others will be offended by it. But we can’t let people’s potential reactions discourage us from the task at hand. My responsibility is to live and share the gospel. I must live it because nothing is a worse witness than a hypocritical Christian.

If you’re sincere about your faith, I encourage you to engage people in evangelistic conversations. People are scared right now. There’s a lot of uncertainty in the air. Look at the headlines. Opioid use is up. Alcohol sales are up. Suicide rates are up. People are looking for truth and hope. This is a moment for us to step into that conversation and talk truthfully about the hope we’ve found in Christ.

But let me add something that might surprise you. To some people, I would say, please don’t talk about Jesus. You may think I’m contradicting myself, so let me explain. If you’re seeking to live a godly life, then, by all means, look for opportunities to talk about Jesus. Notice that I didn’t say a perfect life. The truth is, we all fall short. We all will mess up. But if you’re sincere—if you’re really trying to honor God in the way you live—you can make a powerful impression on unbelievers.

On the other hand, if you’re living a hypocritical life, if you’re contradicting what the Bible says in the way you live, please do us all a favor and don’t talk about Jesus. Instead, you should focus on repenting of your sin and getting right with God before you talk to others.

A. W. Tozer wrote, “The world is waiting to hear an authentic voice. A voice from God, not an echo from what others are doing and saying, but an authentic voice.” That voice could be yours.
