Iran’s Failed Assassination Attempt on Netanyahu, Espionage, And Intelligence Leaks
By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/irans-failed-assaination-attempt-on-netanayhu-espionage-and-intelligence-leaks/
The nation of Israel survived a bit of a close call this past week. A UAV was fired by Hezbollah forces toward the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara. Thankfully, the couple were not at home at the time, and the attack caused no injuries.
The PM responded by calling the attempted assassination a “grave mistake” and warned on X that “This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future.” While the attack was carried out by Hezbollah, there is credible evidence that Iran was behind it. Thus, no one should be surprised that the Islamic regime quickly tried to cover its failure with bravado saying that there would be major destruction to Israel if Netanyahu’s people came after Supreme Leader Khamenei.
Lebanon
It has been a very rough week for Lebanon. For lack of a better phrase, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) is bombing the heck out of Hezbollah. The Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut in particular has been the recipient of the IAF’s focus due to the area’s locations for weapons manufacturing and storage. The fact that it is also home to some of Hezbollah’s primary headquarters makes it an even juicier target.
Other areas of Lebanon have been feeling the brunt of Israel’s force, also. Tyre has seen many sorties taking out terrorist strongholds. Also, in the south, much of the town of Kfarkela has been reduced to ruins. Just across the border from Metula, Israel, Hezbollah has shielded itself in Kfarkela as they shot anti-tank rockets and mortar shells at the Israelis. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has put a strong effort into seeing that this activity ceases.
Gaza
Let me start here with a brief reminder that Yahya Sinwar is dead, killed by a sniper’s bullet. The pictures were not pretty, but they were definitive. When he was finally dispatched last Thursday, he was panicked, helpless, and alone. It seems so appropriate. And if your heart feels a slight twinge of pity for him, take a look on my Telegram at the thousands who went to the sight of the Nova festival to pray on Tuesday, the day that marked the one year anniversary of the event on the Jewish calendar. There are still too many tears to be shed over the victims at the festival and throughout southern Israel to have any left over for the man who perpetrated it all.
The fight still rages in Gaza. The IDF is determined to clear the terrorists out of the northern part of the region. But because Hamas entrenches itself with the population, it is essential to get everyone out of the area and move them down to the humanitarian zone near Khan Yunis. Once that’s done, all the terrorist weapons and infrastructure can be cleared out. Emptying the northern Gaza Strip, including Gaza City, will be the biggest blow to Hamas’s survival. It will also finally allow Israel to retake the effort to get humanitarian aid to those who need it. Once the populace doesn’t depend upon Hamas for aid distribution, the terrorists won’t be needed anymore.
To this end, last week thousands of civilians in Jabalia were warned by the IDF to flee. Hamas resisted the effort because they were using the Gazan citizens as shields. Somehow, the population managed to break free and move out, allowing the IDF to move in. Now, amidst all the bullets and explosions, hundreds of terrorists are coming out of their holes to surrender.
In a new intelligence revelation that surprised no one, six Al-Jazeera journalists were discovered to be operatives in Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations. With various functions, such as sniper, deputy head of a propaganda unit, and leader of a rocket launching squad, these journo-terrorists took embedding just a little too far. Al-Jazeera, using an “I’m rubber, you’re glue” defense strongly denied the accusations and attempted a reversal saying that Israel targets their reporters.
Israeli Security Breach
Speaking of people working undercover, Israeli intelligence arrested seven people for spying for Iran. Originally from Azerbaijan, the group received cryptocurrency from Tehran for photographing and gathering information on key military sites all over Israel. They carried out their espionage for two years and are reported to have completed 600 missions. This is one of the most serious security breaches in Israel in recent years.
United States Security Breach
And, while we’re on the subject of espionage, it seems that the Defense Department in Washington sprung its own leak. Ariane Tabatabai, chief of staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and a U.S. naval intelligence officer, leaked classified documents about Israel to Iran. However, that’s just what we know about for sure right now. This woman had access to all naval movements and all special forces operations in the world, including the Middle East. Who knows what she might have passed on? What’s so aggravating is that there was credible information that she was spying back in October 2023, and not only did the Biden administration choose not to pursue it, but she was able to keep her security clearance. Unbelievable!
More from the U.S.
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken made another visit to Israel Tuesday. His message? Don’t attack Iran, stop the war in Gaza, and send more food to Hamas. Okay, he said to send food to the Gazan citizens, but everyone knows who actually gets the humanitarian aid. I feel badly that the SecState had to travel all the way to Israel for another conversation that would be roundly ignored. My suggestion is that he just sends a recording of himself giving his usual spiel to Netanyahu. That way, whenever the person making the real decisions in the White House says to go bug the Israelis again, Blinken can just call up the PM and say, “Hey, Bibi, mind playing that video again?” Netanyahu could tell him “sure”, then have it running in the background while he and his staff got real work done.
It’s less than two weeks before the U.S. election. Want more evidence that your vote is important? The Wall Street Journal reported that Yahya Sinwar cited liberal Israeli opposition and pressure from the White House as reasons for refusing a hostage deal. In other words, without the radical Israelis and the double-speaking U.S. administration, we might have our hostages home by now. Again, America, your vote counts!
Turkey
Two armed men stormed the Turkish Aerospace Industries headquarters near the Ankara airport yesterday. In the ensuing melee, five people were killed and 22 more were injured. The attackers, identified by Turkish authorities as members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), were both killed on site.
What Does the Name “Palestine” Mean?
Fredi Winkler - https://midnightcall.com/articles/messages/what-does-the-name-palestine-mean.html
The general consensus is that the name “Palestine” comes from the Philistines, and means something like “land of the Philistines.” In 135 AD, after the second Jewish revolt, Emperor Hadrian gave the name “Palestine” to the area, so that it would no longer be called Israel. But we should wonder, is our assumption about the name correct?
THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF THE NAME “PALESTINE”
In the 5th century BC, the Greek historian Herodotus called the land between Phoenicia in the north and Egypt in the south a “district of Syria, called Palaistinê.”
In the Hebrew Bible, the land of the Philistines is called Peleshet, and its extent on the southern coastal strip of the territory is clearly defined. In the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament), which was written around 200 BC, the name of this people was tellingly translated not as Palaistinoi (the word we would expect if derived from Peleshet, and which already existed as seen in Herodotus) but as Philistieim. Why didn’t they use Palaistinoi if that was supposedly a name for the Philistines?
Herodotus referred to the inhabitants of Palestine as circumcised. This would have been true of the Israelites, but obviously not of the Philistines.
One hundred or so years later, Aristotle also describes Palestine and mentions the Dead Sea. But Philistine territory was far from the Dead Sea.
Later, Roman writers also used the name Palestine for the country, mentioning that the nation’s inhabitants kept the Sabbath. Again, this is true of the Jews but not the Philistines.
These and other historical discrepancies led David Jacobson of London University to question the commonly held opinion about the name of Palestine.
ISRAEL IN THE BIBLE
The name “Israel” was given to the patriarch Jacob by God Himself, after he wrestled with the Lord (Gen 32:29). From that moment forward, his descendants were called “the people of Israel.” When Israel then took possession of Canaan, the name passed to the land as well.
When the kingdom of Israel was divided into Judea and Israel after Solomon’s reign, the name Israel continued to be used for the people as a whole. However, in order to draw a geographic distinction, Judea became significant as the name for the southern kingdom.
After Sennacherib deported the ten tribes (i.e., the northern kingdom of Israel), the name Israel began to gradually disappear as a designation for the land. This is most clearly evidenced in the term “Jews,” which became the name for the entire people and their religion. The name Israel wasn’t revived until the modern State was founded. But significantly, the term “Jews” is still used generally for the people and their religion today, even those who live elsewhere.
GREEK AS THE DOMINANT LANGUAGE
The land of Israel came under Hellenistic influence in 332 BC, through the conquests of Alexander the Great. Greek was becoming increasingly important as the language of trade, especially later in the Eastern Roman Empire (and by extension, Israel). The fact that the New Testament was written in Greek testifies clearly to this reality.
The Greeks loved to ask people from abroad what the name of their nationality signifies. How did the Israelites answer? The name Israel was derived from their forefather Jacob, who had wrestled with God and whom God Himself had renamed. This story must have made a huge impression on the Greeks, with their mythology.
And what is the ancient Greek word for a wrestler? The answer is astonishing: palaistís, which sounds very similar to Palestine and Palestinians. This startling similarity in sound suggests that the name Palestine has nothing to do with the Philistines, but with the Greek word palaistís for wrestler, because Jacob wrestled with God.
The Greeks also had a fondness for giving countries Greek names that could be understood in their language. Phoenicia and Egypt are two such recognizable examples. Few people are probably aware that the people of ancient Egypt called their country Kemet, meaning “the black land,” referring to the rich soil along the Nile.
The same pattern is evident in modern country names. The United States is known as Les Êtats-Unis in French, Los Estados Unidos in Spanish, and Die Vereinigte Staaten in German—all of which communicate the same thing, but in the language of their respective peoples. You’re no doubt aware of further examples.
THE DECLINE OF THE HEBREW LANGUAGE
With the Jewish revolt against the Romans and the destruction of both the temple and the city of Jerusalem in 70 AD, Judaism (and with it the Hebrew language) quickly declined in relevance in the region.
After the second Jewish revolt against the Romans in 132-135 AD was a disastrous failure, Hebrew no longer held any importance in the land. As a result, it makes complete sense that the country would no longer be called Judea, and definitely not Israel, since the name had long since fallen out of use.
The Greek language was now the dominant one, so the country was officially given the long-standing Greek designation of Palestine. And it remained so until the founding of the modern State of Israel.
The theory that the name Palestine is derived from the Philistines is incorrect, because the Philistines were deported into Assyria along with the 10 tribes of the northern kingdom in the 6th century BC. The memory of this people group had faded into history long before the arrival of the Romans.
JERUSALEM RENAMED AELIA CAPITOLINA
The city of Jerusalem wasn’t fully destroyed after the first revolt. But after the second revolt in 135 AD, the Romans decided to pull out all the stops. They thoroughly destroyed anything that could be a reminder of Jerusalem, including the remains of the temple (already in ruins). They then rebuilt Jerusalem as a Roman city.
This all took place under the Emperor Hadrian, whose full name was Publius Aelius Hadrianus. He named the city Colonia Aelia Capitolina, after both himself and Rome’s Capitoline Hill, where the Roman gods were worshiped. But due to the length of the name, it was mostly known as Aelia. It remained that way until 325 AD, when Constantine the Great made it Christianity’s holy city and restored its name.
Jerusalem’s name change to Colonia Aelia Capitolina by Emperor Hadrian is established fact. But Hadrian’s alleged changing of the name from Israel to Palestine, which supposedly meant “land of the Philistines,” is an assumption that doesn’t have a foundation either in history or in linguistics.
THE UNKNOWN MEANING OF THE NAME PALESTINE
We also use Greek words in English, often fully unaware of their original meanings or that they’re of Greek origin. This is obviously what happened in the case of Palestine. It is also a lovely name with a pleasant sound, and is still used in Bible dictionaries and theological works today (although the name Palestine has now taken on certain implications because of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict). Therefore, it would be best to call the country Israel in both biblical and theological contexts. It is the name that appears in the Bible, whereas the name Palestine does not.
It’s likely that if Palestinians knew that the name Palestine actually means Israel, they’d quickly change it.

The Reason Arabs Make Such Irrational Decisions
by Bill Perkins - https://compass.org/the-reason-arabs-make-such-irrational-decisions/
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 1John 2:16
As we continue to wake up out of our Church Age slumber, we're finding more and more how Satan has been duping the world. He is so good at what he does. Hey, he's had 6000 years of practice.
The same two lies he used on Adam and Eve are his main lies today.
Does the Bible really say... (fill in the blank)
You can be your own god.
The world does not want to be accountable to God and non-believers will be dumbfounded immediately after taking their last breath on earth. Praise the Lord for all to whom God revealed His Truth.
...and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake. Philem. 6
We didn't deserve His blessing of salvation, much less deserve the knowledge and insight into the soon-coming dispensational change-over! He has us here with a reason: To be used by Him in the lives of those in our sphere of influence. PTL!
The article this week sheds some Biblical insight as to how and why the Arabs ARE so flaky. Enjoy.
And of course, there are some great links to better understand the evil going on around us.
The fear of [reverence for] the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; Psa. 111:10
The Reason Arabs Make Such Irrational Decisions
Israeli jets are bombing the smithereens out of Lebanon this week.
The campaign against financial institutions appears to be a fourth stage of the war. In the first stage, lasting about 11 months, the IDF simply returned fire, or targeted weapons depots and isolated Hezbollah commanders.
In the second stage, the IDF attacked the full senior hierarchy of Hezbollah, including in Beirut.
In the third stage, which began in late September, the IDF launched a ground operation.
In the fourth stage, it is attacking Hezbollah’s money sources.
— Joel B. Pollak is Senior Editor-at-Large at Breitbart News
And for the last year or so Israel's been reducing Gaza to a big pile of rubble.
The Arabs had it coming after brutally murdering 1200+ unarmed Jewish men, women and children in October 2023. It was a wake-up call for Israel.
Why do the Arabs do what they do? To understand the reason, we have to go back to the time of Abram, who God later renamed Abraham.
Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you;
"And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing;
"And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Gen. 12:1-3
"...for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever." Gen. 13:15
By faith Abram obeyed God, so God gave the land of Israel—all of it—to Abraham’s descendants… unconditionally... forever.
By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. Heb. 11:8
In the map above you can see the original boundaries of the Promised Land given by God.
And as you can see, Israel’s land today has been reduced to only a fraction of what God originally gave her. Her Muslim enemies have acquired the rest through “peace” treaties basically forced on Israel through the years.
The Bible gives us some insight into the Arabs. They all came from Abraham’s illicit adultery with Hagar, his wife Sarah's servant. Childless Sarah was quite jealous when Abe got Hagar pregnant, and Sarah made Hagar's life a living hell.
If you don’t remember all the details, you can read them in Genesis 16. But here’s the key verse regarding Abraham’s illicit son Ishmael, the father of all Arabs. God said to Hagar:
And you shall call his name Ishmael, because the LORD has given heed to your affliction.“'He will be a wild donkey of a man, his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him; And he will live to the east of all his brothers.” Gen. 16:11-12
That is the genetic stock from which all the Arabs have descended. God said they will be wild, irrational, always fighting and will live to the east of Canaan/Israel. That’s who and what we see in the Middle East today.
Israelis know this about her Arab enemies: They don’t want peace.
Any "peace” the Arabs make with Israel is just an Arab stalling tactic. They may call for peace because they’re losing a war, but it’s only until they can regroup to fight again.
This is because their Muslim bible teaches that if they ever lose land they’ve conquered, they are to get it back at all costs.
The Ottoman Arabs had conquered the land of Israel for 400 years until they lost it in WW1 to Great Britain. The British gave it to Israel for a Jewish homeland in 1917 and the United Nations declared Israel a sovereign nation in 1948.
Therefore the Muslims' stated desire is to again conquer the land and kill all the Jews... to please Allah (AKA Satan). They want all the land back, not some of it.
Their latest mantra is “From the river to the sea.” This means from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. In other words, all of Israel.
Our uninformed (i.e., stupid) college students have no idea they're cheering for Satan over Jehovah God. Nor do they understand the associated penalty:
the one who curses [Israel] I will curse. Gen. 12:3b
Satan can be quite deceiving, and the Muslims are greatly deceived. The only thing that gets their attention is pain. When the pain gets too great, they’ll make peace. But, again, it’s only temporary.
On the other hand, the Jews are God’s chosen people.
...the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. Deut. 7:6
Their current status was prophesied by the prophet Hosea around 735 BC:
Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him. Hos. 6:1-2(1)
Which in summary means—after 2000 years of being badly persecuted around the world, the Lord will bring the Jews home to Israel (Ezek. 37). Then they’ll physically live before their Messiah for 1000 years.
God will soon open their eyes and they’ll be dumbfounded and brokenhearted to learn that they rejected and murdered their God-sent Messiah, Jesus, 2000 years ago.
...they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. Zech. 12:10
The Jews will have trials, after all they did crucify their God-sent Messiah. But in the end God's Jews will triumph and Satan's Muslims will lose badly.
The Jewish Messiah, Jesus, will return to earth to rule over the world from His throne on Mount Moriah, in Jerusalem.
The Arab/Muslims who have hated and cursed Israel will not fare well. At the end of the 7 years of Tribulation, God says:
I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. Joel 3:2
Do notice the Lord is not happy about nations taking away the land He gave Israel.
And we’ll have a front-row seat watching all this!

To Our Culture, Convenience and Entertainment Outrank Freedom
By David Bowen - https://harbingersdaily.com/to-our-culture-convenience-and-entertainment-outrank-freedom/
I must admit upfront that this article is personally troublesome. This bothers me deeply. Why? Because I know what I am about to talk about is something the general population is going to embrace with a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement. This technology will be something people will rave about, which will cause even more people to jump on the bandwagon. However, my deep concern is that this new technology is going to cause people to eventually be placed into bondage.
I ponder verses such as 1 John 4:1 and 2 Corinthians 11:3. First John 4 warns us to “not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Second Corinthians 11 warns, “As the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 to “See to it that no one misleads you.”
I am deeply concerned that our culture is about to embrace technology that will eventually be used to control, deceive, and lead people away from truth, all in the name of convenience and entertainment. Have you heard of the new Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses? This is a partnership between Meta and Ray-Ban.
With these glasses, you can take photos just by tapping them. You can take a video the same way. You’ll have the ability to instantly live stream on Facebook or Instagram. These glasses proudly promote the fact that they have AI built-in, allowing you to ask questions. That all sounds amazing, that is, until you begin to see the big picture.
Several reviews say these glasses are the best headphones they have ever owned. Reviewers rave online about how you can wear these glasses and listen to whatever you choose. You have the ability to double-tap to forward, pause, or control the volume. If you go for a walk, you can listen to an audiobook, or if you wish, you can make a phone call or a meta call, all hands-free, of course. If you are in the car, these glasses will give you directions as you drive.
On the Meta.com website, you’ll find this description:
We’re making it easier to have a conversation with Meta AI. Kick off your conversation with “Hey Meta” to ask your initial question, and then you can ask follow-up questions without saying “Hey Meta” again. And you no longer need to say “look” to ask Meta AI questions about what you’re looking at.
We’re adding the ability for your glasses to help you remember things. Next time you fly somewhere, you don’t have to sweat forgetting where you parked at the airport—your glasses can remember your spot in long-term parking for you. You can also use your voice to set a reminder to text your mom safely within three hours of landing.
You can now ask Meta AI to record and send voice messages on WhatsApp and Messenger while staying present. This is especially handy when your hands are full or you can’t get to your phone easily to write a text.
We’re adding video to Meta AI so you can get continuous real-time help. If you’re exploring a new city, you can ask Meta AI to tag along and then ask about landmarks you see as you walk or get ideas for what to see next.
Sounds incredible, right? This is how far this technology will go. The Meta website says these glasses can be your Packing Partner under the “Tips & Tricks for Traveling with Your Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses” section. For example, the site promotes how these glasses can help you pick outfits for your trip. Try laying your favorite top out and saying, “Hey, Meta, look and tell me what type of hat goes well with this shirt?”
Are we really at a point where we need technology to invade our lives to the point that we cannot pick out an outfit without yielding to AI? Do you understand why this is so deeply concerning?
Is there a downside? Of course. Two Harvard University students were able to hack strangers’ information by wearing these glasses and looking at them. The danger here is that someone can hack your personal information stored in AI data, such as your phone numbers, home addresses, or even your social security number. All the user needs to do is look at the person.
How can this be? The Harvard students use PimEyes facial recognition, and in doing so, they could instantly pull up the personal information of strangers, again, just by scanning their faces. PimEyes is an online facial search engine that goes through the Internet to find pictures of people’s faces. PimEyes uses facial recognition search technologies to perform a reverse image search. The company website advertises this, “Find a face and check where the image appears online. Our face finder helps you find a face. Facial recognition online system allows you to search by image.”
Do you realize what this means? Anyone could scan your face without you knowing it, and by scanning your face, it’s possible for anyone to gain access to your address, your phone number, and any information you have in a digital format.
In 2021, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook had changed its corporate name to Meta. He said the Meta rebrand is meant to reflect his ambition to become known for more than just social media. In a public interview, Zuckerberg said, “Facebook is one of the most used products in the world. But increasingly, it doesn’t encompass everything that we do. Right now, our brand is so tightly linked to [Facebook]. But over time, I hope we are seen as a metaverse company.”
A metaverse company, what does that really mean? What is the ultimate goal? Once the public is hooked on this amazing technology, what comes next?
Remember Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24, “See to it that no one misleads you.” Remember the warning in 2 Corinthians 11, reminding us that “the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness” and warning us to be careful or “your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”
Once this technology is accepted in the daily lives of the general public, the powers that be will easily lead us into the next stage. The General Services Administration, or GSA, will begin offering facial recognition technology as an option for users of Login.gov, a one-stop for government-provided public services, to verify their identities.
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, GSA’s Technology Transformation Services announced it will allow Login.gov users to verify their identity online through facial technology that meets standards set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s 800-63-3 Identity Assurance Level 2 (IAL2) guidelines. This means anyone receiving government-provided public services, such as food stamps or social security, will eventually have to use facial recognition to receive those services. This will slowly transition to anyone attending a university, checking into a hospital, or having to go to court.
From their own website, the General Services Administration says that the offering of one-to-one face matching has been independently certified as compliant with a government-backed standard for digital identity proofing set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, called identity assurance level two.
Federal agencies use Login.gov to verify people’s identities when logging in to access government benefits and services. This site already has over 100 million users across over 50 federal and state agencies. This is how future users will have to verify their identity to access information and benefits.
Login.gov, a secure sign-in and identity verification service for US government services, has announced the rollout of facial recognition services to streamline access. In a public statement, a GSA Administrator said:
Proving your identity is a critical step in receiving many government benefits and services, and we want to ensure we are making that as easy and secure as possible for members of the public. After months of testing and delays in 2023, users will now be able to verify their identity using a “proven facial matching technology” approved by the General Services Administration, which will follow the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and will rely on “best-in-class facial matching algorithms.”
Did you catch that? “Proving your identity is a critical step in receiving many government benefits and services, and we want to ensure we are making that as easy and secure as possible for members of the public.” They are not hiding what their plans are. You will be controlled. You will have no personal freedom. If you need a hospital, if you wish to attend a university, if you want to get a marriage or driver’s license, or if you want to travel, you will need to abide by these rules.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 to “see to it that no one misleads you.”
Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: It all ends too soon
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
The idea was to take a camping trip in the Shenandoah Valley along the river in early October when the leaves were turning colors. We booked our favorite campground in the area—Low Water Bridge Campground—about a month earlier to make sure we got a good spot. Between then and the October date, the river rose some 8 to 9 feet because of Hurricane Helene and some of the campsites were underwater and just draining out when we arrived. Ours, however, remained above the floodplain on mostly dry ground. We settled in after a day of hiking in anticipation of the next day.
Chris and I were up early in the morning as the sun rose over the treetops, casting its brilliant reflection that seemed to follow you along the river. It was a particularly cool morning and some steam was starting to rise off the river as I took Service Dog Charlie for his early morning walk and constitutional. When we got back and had some coffee and a light breakfast, it was Chris who took her turn. She bundled up—neither of us are good in the 40 degree range, but the sun was warming things up–gathered up her portable easel, paint pallet, brushes, and camp chair, and headed out to pick a picturesque spot to paint along the riverbank. Finding one, she set up and began creating.
That’s when I got the brilliant idea of sneaking up on her and taking a video of her work. Now, Chris is a private person. All through the years when I was involved with the public, she preferred to stay in the background. But I have to tell you, she is very congenial and witty, quite engaging and articulate when put on the spot. I walked up and casually asked her how it was going and we engaged in a great conversation about how she loved painting on site so much better than in the studio. She was really engaged, then she happened to look up and see that I was using my phone to video our discussion. Well, that came to an abrupt end. All in good fun. Right?
After things warmed up a bit, we decided to go into Front Royal, Va for a walkabout and lunch. It was our first try on a highway with our scooter. Earlier in the week, I had passed the driving test and earned my license. Expert right? What could go wrong? I would have to say we were both nervous about the 20 mile round trip. We hopped on and started out. Within minutes, my driving skills were challenged by a big truck passing us and, “What was that jumping out of the side of the road?” A deer. I slowed down. The deer trotted across the road ahead of us. And we settled in for the rest of the ride. It wasn’t so bad. A little chilly. But a good trip and a good time. As King Solomon once wrote it is a blessing from God to enjoy the good of our labor! Indeed, this camping trip ended all too soon!
Daily Devotion: Heaven’s Intercessor
by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
—Psalm 139:17
https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/heavens-intercessor/ - Listen
Have you ever had someone tell you they’ve been thinking about you and praying for you? If that person is important to you, then it’s a significant statement. The very thought of their thinking about and praying for you warms your heart.
The good news is that the Creator of the universe, the almighty God who knows every star by name and every thought that we think, has been both praying for and thinking about us as individuals.
If I knew right now that Jesus was in the next room praying for me personally, I think that would give me the strength to face any problem or obstacle. Yet the fact is that Jesus Christ is interceding for each of us in Heaven.
Hebrews 7:25 tells us that Jesus “is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf” (NLT). And Romans 8:34 says, “Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us” (NLT).
Thus, in a very real sense, Jesus is praying for us. He is pulling for us. He is interceding for us.
And not only that, but God is thinking about us as well. The psalmist David wrote, “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” (Psalm 139:17–18 NLT).
God is omniscient, which simply means that He is all-knowing. He knows the end from the beginning and what will happen before it happens.
We, on the other hand, watch history as it unfolds. Yet God sees the big picture. He knows every thought that we think and will think. Earlier in Psalm 139, David wrote, “You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away” (verse 2 NLT).
Not only does God know every thought that we think, but He also knows every word that we speak. He sees every act that we commit. And He is thinking about us constantly.
We should be encouraged by the fact that God is paying attention to us. In fact, it becomes a litmus test of our relationship with Him. If the thought that God is watching us, is aware of us, and is thinking about us brings joy to our hearts, it would be an indication that our lives are right with Him. Of course, that is not to say we’re living perfect, flawless lives. But it is to say we take comfort in the knowledge that God is aware of us constantly.
God knows everything about us. He knows about our fears. He knows about our dreams. And He knows about the things that frighten us and excite us. He is aware of everything we’re facing in life.

"Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!"
"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
