A strange silence of sorts set in immediately following the election of Donald J. Trump as 47th president of the United States. To me it was an eerie sense of stillness, kind of like the atmosphere felt just before a tornado-carrying storm I once experienced in Mississippi.

Within forty-eight hours of the election, two leaders of America’s most dangerous, nuclear-weapons-laden, antagonist nations, Russian President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping, reached out to congratulate Mr. Trump for his victory in quite conciliatory language.

At the same time, Basem Naim, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau and spokesperson for the terrorist organization, issued a call for peace. He emphasized “immediate cessation of the aggression, particularly in Gaza.”

Suddenly an atmosphere of peaceful calm seems to pervade the world that just days ago looked to be about to explode into nuclear war. What’s going on?!

Even the completely insane-acting leftists have dialed back hate-filled rhetoric.

President Joe Biden, who just before November 5 was calling all of us who supported Trump “garbage” and saying he wanted to slap our (derrieres), was kind-sounding and generous in his public congratulations to his successor. His press secretary was almost overly accommodating in promising the smoothest transition of presidential power in the history of the republic.

The Trump-haters who were screaming “Nazi!” and “fascist!” in Trump and his supporters’ direction suddenly are no longer to be found–at least not on the surface. What, indeed, is going on?!

Part of the answer, at least to the question of the Biden and Harris forces being so subdued, and even the so-called deep state (the intelligence services that want to keep Trump out of the White House at any cost) seeming to say nothing, is because of the unanticipated election numbers. Donald Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular votes. This produced what is perceived as a mandate for Trump to implement the policies he proposes. The nation has spoken with no uncertainty.

This completely threw Trump’s haters into disarray. They simply, at least for the moment, are stumped as to how to again begin dismantling the nation’s movement back toward its founding principles.

Had Trump won only the Electoral College voting, the mobs of rampaging rioters would have likely been turned loose in order to deceptively protest the injustice they want perceived as being inflicted on those in the majority constituting the popular vote.

Now those, who like Barack Obama, want to “fundamentally transform America” by opening borders to all comers and do all the other Sodom-like things they foisted on us, are temporarily stunned. They must find another tact than burning down their own cities, etc.

All of this peacefulness simply means that Donald J. Trump has been again put in the most powerful office on the planet for the Lord’s very special purposes. No person, political party, or any other force put him there. We even witnessed God’s hand in the assassination attempt. Trump himself said he felt an invisible hand slap him to the floor at the moment when the bullet missed his head by no more than an inch.

I don’t claim to know exactly what the Lord is up to with the sudden developments we see coming one after another. But I do know He is fully aware of each movement in this fascinating end-times act we’re a part of.

The calm we’re in the midst of at present is leading to a sort of peace that will result in the act intolerable to the Almighty. It will be the satanically inspired act against Israel by the world’s nations that will bring God’s destruction upon all anti-God forces of the earth.

Although I’ve continued to support Donald Trump for president, I nonetheless wonder whether he will be instrumental in the prophesied act that will cause God to judge in such world-rending wrath.

Already it is conjectured that Mr. Trump will revise the efforts for peace in the Middle East–the effort he was involved with when forced from power by the loss in the 2020 presidential election.

The Israeli-Palestinian peace plan advanced by President-elect Donald Trump during his first term will likely be back on the table when he returns to office, according to a former senior aide who reportedly has been tapped to help lead the transition team.

The Trump peace plan envisioned Israel being able to annex all of its settlements in the West Bank while granting the Palestinians a pathway to a semi-contiguous state on the remaining territory. The plan was swiftly rejected by the Palestinian Authority, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the plan with reservations. His settler allies, who are now part of his coalition, rejected the proposal due to its inclusion of a potential Palestinian state.

In an interview with CNN, Brian Hook, who served as Trump’s special envoy for Iran, is asked to respond to an assertion by Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister that normalization with Israel is off the table without the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Highlighting the 2020 peace plan, Hook tells CNN, “much of that work is still relevant today,” adding that the proposal contains all of the conditions Riyadh is seeking in order to normalize with Israel.

However, Hook acknowledges that no one is “in much of a mood” to discuss a two-state solution following Hamas’s October 7 onslaught.

“There are many Israelis right now who are focused on other things, specifically keeping them safe from this kind of evil terrorism that they endured on October 7,” he says.

Citing three sources familiar with the matter, CNN reported yesterday that Hook will lead Trump’s transition team at the State Department. (“Trump official suggests 2020 Israeli-Palestinian peace plan will be back in play,” Jacob Magid, The Times of Israel, November 7, 2024)

It is the peacefulness of all these doings that makes one uncomfortable. It will be a covenant of false peace that divides God’s chosen nation Israel that will bring His wrath and judgment, according to Daniel 9:27.

It will be the dividing of God’s land, Israel, that will bring the world to Armageddon according to the prophet Joel (Joel 3:2).

We are told that when there is a cry for peace and safety, sudden destruction comes (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

Antichrist will come in as a peacemaker, but by that peace he will destroy many, the prophecy says (Daniel 8:25).

Now, I in no way am saying Donald J. Trump is to be Antichrist. And, there is no doubt in my thinking that he genuinely wants to bring all these wars, including that of Russia vs. Ukraine and Israel vs. the entire Israel-hating nations of the Middle East, to an end.

However, like past presidents and other leaders placed in power by Heaven’s edict to rid the world of war, to get to the peace, Mr. Trump seems perhaps poised as the world’s most powerful leader of these times to put into motion prophecy that will bring real peace—the only peace that will truly put an end to war on this fallen planet.

That will only happen when Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, breaks through the black clouds of war at Armageddon.

He is the only Hope–the Blessed Hope—for peace on earth, and for peace in the human heart through salvation of the soul.

Here is how to receive that peace:

That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

Bad things can sometimes come in threes. For Israel, issues of enemy nuclearization are many-sided, intersecting and “bewitching.” Even while the Jewish State remains the only regional nuclear power, a nuclear war could still happen.

Plausible scenarios demand prompt clarification. Even a pre-nuclear Iran could bring Israel to the point where Jerusalem’s only strategic options would be nuclear escalation or de facto capitulation. Terminologically, the first option would present as an “asymmetrical nuclear war.” Substantively, this option would spawn variously unpredictable consequences.

There will be antecedent questions. How could Israel allow itself to reach such an existential impasse? How could such an unprecedented scenario emerge? Is such a perilous declension even reasonable to ponder?

In one scenario, Iran would target Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor and/or employ radiation dispersal weapons against the Jewish State. Unique escalations could follow in the wake of an Iranian resort to biological or electromagnetic pulse (EMP) ordnance. There could also be direct interventions by already-nuclear state allies of Iran. Here, in circumstances that could involve US and/or Chinese interventions, Israel could be prevented from striking preemptively against Iranian targets by Russian and/or North Korean nuclear threats.

The plausibly worst-case scenario would be a “bolt-from-the-blue” nuclear attack by North Korea. Kim Jung Un’s troops are already training for military action against Ukraine. This training, on behalf of Vladimir Putin, is well-underway inside Russia.

Where should Jerusalem stand on resisting such potentially existential challenges from Iran’s nuclear state surrogates?

Looking toward expanding conflict with Iran, any “one-off” preemption against enemy weapons and infrastructures (an act of “anticipatory self-defense” under international law) would be problematic. At this late stage, any such defensive action would need to be undertaken in calculated increments and amid an ongoing war.

For Israel, these are intellectual issues, not mere matters of “common sense.” During intersecting and possibly synergistic interactions, an imaginative dialectic would need to guide Israel’s strategic policy. As part of its escalating war against Iran, Israel could calculate that it had no choice but to launch multiple and mutually-reinforcing preemptive strikes against specific nuclear-related targets. Simultaneously, Russian and/or North Korean threats of support for Iran could lay the groundwork for a multi-state nuclear war, a sui generis conflict that could sometime involve the United States and/or China.

In Jerusalem, such a worrisome narrative ought never to be dismissed out of hand. It could be tempting to regard such jaw-dropping interventions as “speculative” or “unlikely,” but there would remain no science-based way to estimate the probabilities of a unique event. True probabilities, Israeli planners should understand, can never be determined ex nihilo (“out of nothing”).

In the final analysis, Israel’s requires “high thinkers,” and these exceptional planners will need to make decisions based on long-established standards of valid extrapolation, deduction and internal consistency. Though there is no actual data on the subject of nuclear war, a useful deductive apparatus can still be constructed. The legitimate object of this explanatory apparatus would be the systematic derivation of logically entailed and policy-relevant conclusions from tangibly interconnecting assumptions. Without such an effort, of analytic necessity, Israeli strategic decisions could be limited to more-or-less disconnected assessments or (worst of all possibilities) “common sense.” For Israeli strategists, there could be no greater mistake than any reliance upon “common sense.”

To the extent that they might be usefully estimated, the risks of an Israel-Iran nuclear war will depend on whether such a conflict would be intentional, unintentional, or accidental. Apart from applying this three-part distinction, there would be no adequate reason to expect operationally-gainful intellectual assessments.

Ensuring existential protections from openly declared Iranian aggressions, Jerusalem should always bear in mind that even the Jewish State’s physical survival ought never to be taken for granted. At some point, even a seemingly powerful nuclear weapons state could be left with only militarily irrelevant options. That point would allow assorted residual options for revenge, but none for durable safety and national security.

An unintentional or inadvertent nuclear war between Jerusalem and Teheran could take place not only as the result of misunderstandings or miscalculations between rational leaders, but also as the unintended consequence of mechanical, electrical, or computer malfunction. This brings to mind a further distinction between unintentional/inadvertent nuclear war and accidental nuclear war. Though all accidental nuclear wars must be unintentional, not every unintentional nuclear war must be by accident.

On one occasion or another, an unintentional or inadvertent nuclear war could be the result of fundamental human misjudgments about enemy intentions. By definition, this result would be catastrophic. It could prove to be irremediable and irreversible.

In all related calculations, history will matter. An authentic nuclear war has never been fought. Accordingly, there are no experts on “conducting” or “winning” a nuclear war. Immediately, in Jerusalem, this understanding should be considered axiomatic and overriding.

About the need for “high thinkers,” who should be Israel’s models for such extraordinary intellectual capacity? In essence, we are speaking here of the caliber of Szilard, Fermi, Oppenheimer, Einstein, Bohr and assorted others, not to fabricate another “gadget” (the euphemism used by Manhattan Project physicists about their goal), but to orchestrate Israel’s nuclear deterrent via coherent postures of calculated non-use.

Such planning should always be initiated and expanded at an advanced theoretical level. This task could never be suitably assigned to operational specialists, even the “smartest” and most reliable. For Israel, much more will be needed than capable and industrious professionals.

Providing for Israeli national security amid a still-nuclearizing Iran ought never to be treated as a "game of chance.” Without a systematic and theory-based plan in place, Israel would render itself unprepared for an Iranian nuclear conflict that is deliberate, unintentional or accidental. At every stage of its self-propelling competition with Tehran, Jerusalem should never lose sight of the only sensible rationale for maintaining national nuclear weapons and doctrine. That rationale is (1) stable war management at all identifiable levels; and (2) reliable nuclear deterrence of all applicable threats.

Most urgently, Israel’s strategic plans will have to include prompt policy shift from “deliberate nuclear ambiguity” to “selective nuclear disclosure.” The animating logic of this shift would not be to reframe the obvious (i.e., that Israel is an extant nuclear power), but to remind all would-be aggressors that Jerusalem’s nuclear weapons are operationally usable at every level of warfare. Nonetheless, even with optimal prudential planning, Russian and/or North Korean threats to Israel could become overwhelming.

Reduced to its essentials, a worst case scenario for Israel would commence with progressively explicit threats from Moscow about Israeli preemption costs. Israel, aware that it could not reasonably expect to coexist indefinitely with a nuclear Iran, would proceed with its planned preemptions in spite of dire Russian warnings. In subsequent response, Russian military forces would begin to act directly against Israel, seeking to persuade Jerusalem that Moscow is in a superior position to dominate all conceivable escalations. Alternatively, Putin could delegate such military responsibilities to North Korea, an Iranian ally that is presently preparing (within Russia itself) to augment Russian military forces against Ukraine.

For Vladimir Putin, such a persuasive effort should not be a “hard sell.” Unless the United States were willing to enter the already-chaotic situation with openly unrestricted support for Israel, Moscow would have no foreseeable difficulties in establishing “escalation dominance.” Correspondingly, well-intentioned supporters of Israel could over-estimate the Jewish State’s relative nuclear capabilities and options, a judgment that Sigmund Freud would likely have called “wish fulfillment” and that could steeply endanger Israel’s physical survival.

In war, even state-of-the-art military operations would have determinable limits. In essence, there is no clear way in which the capabilities and options of a state smaller than America’s Lake Michigan could “win” at competitive risk-taking vis-à-vis Russia or North Korea. For Israel in such tangibly asymmetrical circumstances, self-deflating candor would prove safer than any self-deluding bravado.

As a strategic objective, Israel ought always to avoid armed struggle against a vastly superior nuclear adversary. This imperative would not pose problems with regard to a newly-nuclear Iran (though Jerusalem ought still to do whatever possible to prevent Iranian nuclearization), but it would present a very serious problem if it concerned an already “mature” nuclear adversary in Pyongyang.

What about the United States? Would the incoming American president accept an alliance commitment that could place millions of citizens in positions of existential vulnerability? If Donald Trump would accept the long-term benefits of honoring US security guarantees to allies, the world could be looking at another Cuban Missile Crisis or some similar kind of confrontation. A direct military confrontation with Russia would not be one in which Israel could ever reasonably expect to prevail.

There will be additionally important issues of nuclear doctrine. In his continuing war of aggression and genocide against Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has been recycling provocative elements of Soviet-era strategic thinking. One critical element concerns the apparent absence of any “firebreak” between conventional and tactical nuclear force engagements. Now, much as it was during the “classical” era of US-Soviet nuclear deterrence, Moscow identifies the determinative escalatory threshold with first-use of high-yield, long-range strategic nuclear weapons, not first use of tactical (theater) nuclear weapons.

This “fuzzy” nuclear escalation doctrine is not shared by Israel’s United States ally, and could erode any once-stabilizing barriers of intra-war deterrence between Moscow and Washington. Whether sudden or incremental, such erosion could impact the plausibility of both deliberate and inadvertent nuclear war. As Israel could need to depend on firm US support in countering Russian nuclear threats, Vladimir Putin should be granted an immediately prominent place in Israel’s threat assessments of Iranian nuclear progress.

For Israel, the bottom-line of all such dialectical analysis is the invariant obligation to analyze strategic options as an intellectual task. Among other things, reaching rational judgments on defensive first strikes against a still pre-nuclear Iran will require informed anticipations of (1) Russian and/or North Korean intentions; and (2) United States willingness to stand by Israel in extremis.

Israel’s growing nuclear war hazards include variously tangible scenarios of Russian or North Korean interventions on behalf of Iran.

In Jerusalem’s continuously nuanced calculations, these scenarios should assume primary importance. Sometimes, as in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, a bewitching tragedy can come in threes.

Russian Officials Believe That “NATO Has Gone to War with Russia”

Now Joe Biden has really done it. By giving the green light to long-range missile strikes deep inside of Russian territory, he has brought us closer to nuclear conflict than ever before. As you will see below, Russian officials have become convinced that “NATO has gone to war with Russia”. I feel like I am watching a slow-motion train wreck that I am powerless to stop. I have been warning about this for so many years, and now it is here. Steve Quayle, Henry Gruver, Dumitru Duduman, Marty Breeden and so many others have also warned America about what is coming. If we stay on the path that we are on, nuclear weapons will be used. Do we really want to go down that road?

The corporate media here in the United States is trying really hard to convince us that Joe Biden’s decision wasn’t really a big deal.

But the Russians sure do think that it was a big deal…

In Moscow, meanwhile, senior lawmaker Leonid Slutsky slammed Mr. Biden, accusing him of deciding “to end his presidential term and go down in history as ‘Bloody Joe’.”

Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov, meanwhile, told Russia’s state-run Tass news agency that Biden’s decision represented “a very big step toward the beginning of the third world war.”

The official newspaper of the Russian state, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, warned “the madmen who are drawing NATO into a direct conflict with our country may soon be in great pain.”

And according to the Washington Post, one former Kremlin official is warning that “Moscow now believes NATO has gone to war with Russia”…

A former Kremlin official told The Washington Post that Moscow now believes NATO has gone to war with Russia and that “they will proceed accordingly.” The official spoke on the basis of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

That is rather chilling.

Of course that language echoes something that Vladimir Putin said himself back in September…

Putin had personally warned against the eventuality previously, issuing a warning in September that U.S. permission for Ukraine to fire American-supplied long-range missiles at his country, “would mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European countries, are parties to the war in Ukraine.”

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov referenced that previous statement by Putin when he was specifically asked how the Russian government is viewing the latest developments…

“And here the position of our President, the position of the Russian side, was very clearly and unambiguously formulated by our Head of State in his statement that he made in St Petersburg.

“It says everything very clearly. I simply recommend that you read these words of the President once again.”

Wow.

War with Russia is here.

Sergey Markov was asked if Vladimir Putin would actually use nuclear weapons once long-range missiles start falling deep inside Russian territory, and he warned that in a worst case scenario “nuclear war happens before Christmas of this year”…

Asked if Putin would use nuclear missiles in response, Mr Markov said ‘not now’ and said it was more likely that bases in eastern Europe could be hit by smaller, tactical nuclear missiles.

But he added: “I think Biden, Macron and Starmer want escalation which could lead to, from my understanding, in the worst scenario, the nuclear war happens before Christmas of this year.

“Probably you will not be able to say ‘Merry Christmas’ because you will stay in the hole trying to hide away [your] family from the nuclear catastrophe. It can develop very, very quickly.”

Personally, I don’t think that it will happen quite so fast.

But we are definitely on a road that leads to nuclear war.

After Biden’s announcement, U.S. Representative Thomas Massie stated that Biden had just committed an impeachable offense…

By authorizing long range missiles to strike inside Russia, Biden is committing an unconstitutional Act of War that endangers the lives of all U.S. citizens. This is an impeachable offense, but the reality is he’s an emasculated puppet of a deep state.

I agree with Massie 100 percent.

But there won’t be a move to impeach Biden now.

Most Republicans in Congress are way too lily-livered to do anything like that.

Donald Trump Jr. was also horrified by Biden’s decision…

Trump Jr., 46, tweeted that the “military-industrial complex” is trying to undermine his dad before he takes office by pushing the war further into chaos.

“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” he tweeted.

Yes, Joe Biden is still in the White House, but this was a decision that Donald Trump should have been allowed to make.

Trump needs to come out and immediately denounce what Biden has done, but if he does that he will be accused of “colluding with Putin” and that is something that Trump very much wants to avoid.

But Trump can’t be concerned about what others will think at this point.

We are literally on the brink of nuclear war, and we are running out of time to reverse course.

In fact, Sweden is so concerned about the possibility of nuclear war that it has “issued five million pamphlets warning its citizens to stockpile food and water”…

Sweden has issued five million pamphlets warning its citizens to stockpile food and water – just hours after Volodymyr Zelensky’s chilling video address to Vladimir Putin warned US missile strikes “will speak for themselves.”

If our leaders had any sense, they would be doing the same thing.

But instead, they keep assuring us that the Russians are bluffing and that they would never actually use nuclear weapons.

In the end, we shall see who was bluffing and who was not.

Interestingly, on Monday it was being reported that Internet cables under the Baltic Sea have been “suddenly disrupted”…

Two undersea internet cables in the Baltic Sea have been suddenly disrupted, according to local telecommunications companies, amid fresh warnings of possible Russian interference with global undersea infrastructure.

A communications cable between Lithuania and Sweden was cut on Sunday morning around 10:00 a.m. local time, a spokesperson from telecommunications company Telia Lithuania confirmed to CNN.

Did the Russians do that?

Were they trying to send us a message?

I just wrote about how vulnerable our undersea Internet cables are last week.

Cutting two cables is not going to disrupt much, but what if the Russians started cutting dozens of cables?

We really are in uncharted territory.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail, because right now the road that we are on only leads to pain.

Since his victory earlier this month, President-Elect Donald Trump has wasted no time in announcing the nominations to fill his cabinet in January 2025. His list of nominees consist of many vocal friends of the Jewish State, including former Arkansas governor and evangelical Christian Mike Huckabee, who is nominated to be the US Ambassador to Israel, and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, who was tapped for the position of UN Ambassador.

Another individual who has not shied away from his support for Israel is Army Veteran Pete Hegseth, who Trump has selected to serve as the Secretary of Defense.

Since his nomination, Israeli media has drawn attention to a speech made by Hegseth in 2018, where the Fox News host expressed his hope that the Jewish people will one day soon be able to have their Temple rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Speaking before the Arutz Sheva conference in Jerusalem, Hegseth referenced his earlier visit to the Temple Mount and how the experience reminded him of Israel’s right to re-establish the location’s Jewish roots.

“As you stand there, you can’t help but behold the miracle before you,” he explained. “It got me thinking about another miracle that I hope all of you don’t see too far away.”

“1917 was a miracle, 1948 was a miracle, 1967 was a miracle, 2017, the Declaration of Jerusalem as the capital, was a miracle, and there’s no reason why the miracle of the re-establishment of the Temple on the Temple Mount is not possible,” he told the audience. “I don’t know how it would happen, you don’t know how it would happen, but I know that it could happen.”

Pointing as well to Judea and Samaria, Hegseth underscored the importance of recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over these locations.

“Understanding that sovereignty, the very sovereignty of Israeli soil and Israeli cities/locations, is a critical next step to showing the world that this is the land for Jews and the land of Israel,” he described.

Hegseth went on to encourage Israel to take action while they have a Trump administration in Washington that will stand with them in support.

“You need to buy the ticket; don’t just wish for 40 years to win the lottery; buy the ticket,” he urged. “I would submit to you in light of the support you have in Washington DC, the support you have amongst patriotic Americans, amongst Evangelical Christians, amongst Believers, amongst Republicans, and even amongst some Democrats who can barely say it anymore in Washington, buy the ticket, take your action, do what needs to be done here in Israel because I truly believe this is a moment where America will have your back.”

Hegseth also took aim at the insistence by many that a two-state solution is the answer to the Arab-Israeli conflict, “If you walk the ground today, you understand there is no such thing as the outcome of a two-state solution. There is one state.”

In a separate speech before National Young Israel, Hegseth further stated that “Zionism and Americanism are the front lines of Western civilization and freedom in our world today.”

The Temple Mount — Past, Present, And Future

The Temple Mount is a contentious topic in the Middle East, with Muslims routinely using the excuse of perceived Jewish encroachment on the Mount to stage terrorist attacks and riots. This includes the October 7th massacre of over 1,200 Israelis, which Hamas named “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Islam’s claim to the Temple Mount is rooted in the insistence that the “furthest mosque,” referenced in the Quran, is speaking of al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem—an assertion that has little validity. The Quran states that on the final day of Mohammad’s life, he traveled from Mecca to the “furthest mosque.” Not only would this timeframe have preceded the building of al-Aqsa by about 50 years, but the journey from Mecca to Jerusalem would take weeks to complete with a distance of over 750 miles.

The Jewish history of this location, however, is well documented and goes back approximately 3,000 years, when King David purchased the land for the Temple Mount for fifty shekels of silver (2 Samuel 24:18-25). Though the Jebusite who owned the property on Mount Moriah was willing to give the land for free to the king, David insisted upon giving payment—an action which God appears to have orchestrated for the purpose of solidifying Israeli legal ownership over the Mount.

God later instructed King Solomon to build the first Jewish Temple on the land his father David had purchased (2 Chronicles 3:1). Nearly 400 years after its construction, Solomon’s Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians led by Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC (2 Kings 25:9).

The Jewish people exiled in Babylon were given permission to return to Jerusalem and rebuild their Temple 70 years later. The second Temple was reconstructed by King Herod, only to be demolished by the Romans led by General Titus in 70 AD.

Both the Old and New Testaments speak of a day in which a third Jewish Temple will be built, after Israel is re-established as a nation, on the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15). This Temple will be desecrated by the antichrist during the seven-year tribulation, who will stand in the holy place “proclaiming himself to be God” (2 Thess. 2:3-4).

According to God’s Word, the future of the Temple Mount does not end with the antichrist. The Bible details another temple, known as the “Millennial Temple.” Israeli My Glory Magazine, discussing this Temple, wrote: “At the end of the Tribulation, Jesus Christ will return to earth in all His glory. He will establish His Kingdom and throne in Jerusalem and begin His thousand-year reign. A glorious Millennial Temple will be constructed, far surpassing the Temples built by Solomon, Zerubbabel, and Herod. Through the Prophet Ezekiel, the Lord said that this Temple will be ‘the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever’ (Ezek. 43:7). The Lord will be there.”

The Longing for A Temple

Since 70 AD, the Jewish people have longed to have their Temple once again built on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem. This desire has only increased since the re-establishment of Israel in 1948 and the re-capturing of Jerusalem in 1967. The Temple Institute in Israel has been making significant preparations for such a Temple to be constructed for decades.

The comments from Pete Hegseth and the enthusiastic applause he received during his speech are a reminder that many Israelis have not tossed aside their hopes for a Temple, despite the often explosive tensions that surround the Temple Mount.

Since we know from the pages of Scripture that the third Temple will be seated on Mount Moriah during the halfway point of the tribulation, the longing from Israelis to rebuild serves as a remarkable indicator that these events are nearing the horizon—which means that the homegoing of the church is even closer (1 Corinthians 15:52, Philippians 3:20–21, Titus 2:13).

These developments not only demonstrate the validity and relevance of Biblical Prophecy, they also showcase why we as Christians should keep Luke 21:28 at the forefront of our minds: “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Democrat leaders are blaming each other for the losses during the recent election. This only can be good for the United States. If a total rejection of immoral, Marxist principles causes party bosses introspect and a change in direction, the resulting competition of new ideas in alignment with mainstream Americans would be a welcome change. If the infighting between establishment liberals and the extremists that have taken over the party causes an implosion of the party, that too, would be good for all of America. But instead of working toward the good of America, they plan are to double down on opposing everything in the Trump Administration through a very specific “shadow government.”

On MSNBC’s November 14 broadcast, Liberal Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) stated the obvious, “[W]e became very intolerant, very judgmental of people who thought differently than us on social and cultural issues and other tough subjects like guns and climate. I think we should return to the party we were in the ’70s and ’80s, when we had economics as the tent pole, and then we let people in who thought differently than us on other social and cultural issues, and we fought out those debates inside that tent. That’s a difficult thing for the Democratic Party to do, because we have applied a lot of litmus tests over the years. But those litmus tests have added up to a party that is pretty exclusionary, and is shrinking, not growing.”

But the extreme Democratic Party elite are now promoting establishing a shadow government to thwart Trump’s agenda and the will of the American people. Congressman Wiley Nickel (D-NC) revealed a detailed plan in a Washington Post Op Ed, appointing shadow cabinet members to oppose and challenge the Trump Administration. Nickel wrote: “As Democrats, we simply failed to convince the American people we have better ideas to solve their problems, but we do. Now we need to dust ourselves off and get ready to fight,” he said. “We can’t let Donald Trump’s extreme MAGA agenda go unanswered or unopposed…and appoint a shadow cabinet to fight back against the worst abuses of a second Trump administration.” Nickel went so far as to name the shadow government cabinet members.

Extreme Marxists fill the roster like Senator-elect Adam Schiff (D-CA) as Attorney General. Schiff, as you know, was point-man on the Democratic Party’s lawfare against Trump. Nickel said, “We can do our own American version of a [shadow cabinet] that will help Democrats do the thing we didn’t do, which is get out our positive message and talk about the things that folks are rightly concerned about.” Instead of working to improve the nation, Democrats are going to impede the nation. Americans need to brace themselves for the war of words, lawfare, and because there is no introspect of a rejected and failed political agenda, more vitriol and disruption. As in Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness to light and light to darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter.”

One of the most awe-inspiring stories about God’s use of angels is found in 2 Kings 6. To fully appreciate the account, some background information is necessary. The king of Syria declared war on Israel. The Syrian king devised secret battle plans with his servants. Unfortunately for him, nothing is secret from the Lord. God supernaturally revealed the king’s battle plans to the prophet Elisha. Elisha, in turn, relayed the plans to the king of Israel. The king of Israel then made the necessary strategic adjustments to thwart Syria’s plans.

After being outmaneuvered one too many times, the king of Syria began to suspect that an Israelite spy had infiltrated his inner circle. But then he received word about what Elisha was doing. The Syrian king learned that Elisha was staying in the town of Dothan. He sent an enormous army to surround Dothan. He intended to make Elisha pay for his God-assisted espionage.

The scene that plays out starting in verse 14 is almost comic. Elisha’s servant, Gehazi, gets up early in the morning while his master is still sleeping and walks outside to begin his day. What he sees blows his mind and shakes him to his core. The entire city is surrounded by Syrian troops and instruments of war. And Gehazi knows why they’re there.

So, while Elisha is trying to get a little shut-eye, Gehazi starts freaking out. He wakes the sleeping prophet and says something to the effect of, “Master! Master! We’re surrounded by our enemies! What are we going to do?”

Elisha did not panic when he heard the news. In fact, he was probably a little irritated that his sleep was interrupted.

“Don’t be afraid,” he told his servant. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” (verse 16 NLT). Obviously, that math didn’t make sense to Gehazi. Because he was assessing the situation based on what he could see physically.

Elisha asked God to sharpen Gehazi’s vision, to reveal what was invisible to the servant, so that he could have a more accurate sense of the situation. “The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire” (verse 17 NLT). Gehazi saw an invisible army of angels, ready to go to battle at God’s command.

Jesus alluded to a similar invisible army when he rebuked Peter for trying to “save” Him from being arrested. “Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?” (Matthew 26:53 NLT).

Angels have our backs. They stand ready to support us whenever God commands. So when you feel alone, anxious, or outnumbered, pray as Elisha did. Ask God to make you aware of the invisible army that surrounds and protects you.
