His Truth Is Marching On
By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/01/18/his-truth-is-marching-on-by-daymond-duck/
Note to all readers: My computer was hacked and damaged beyond repair. I have been without a computer for four days. I am now learning a new computer and system. If you sent me an email that wasn’t answered, I probably won’t get around to answering it. I apologize. I am also way behind on what is going on, but here is the article I was working on when I was hacked.
A faithful reader recently sent me the words to the first verse of The Battle Hymn of the Republic and a link to an article by Leonard Grunstein (retired attorney, banker, author) that caused her to think of it.
The words are:
Mine eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Lord,
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored,
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword,
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
On Dec. 31, 2024, Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) posted an article by Leonard Grunstein (author, attorney, banker), who was responding to a crowd of Muslims that chanted “Mr. President, take us to Jerusalem” during a speech by Turkey’s President Erdogan. Grunstein noted that Erdogan has often said in the last four years that Jerusalem belongs to Turkey.
Grunstein ended his article by saying Jerusalem does not belong to Turkey.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! God’s truth is marching on.
Consider these words from Zech. 8:2-8.
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”
God’s Word is truth (II Tim. 2:15), and Mr. Erdogan would do well to abandon the lie that Jerusalem belongs to Turkey.
On Jan. 7, 2025, Tim Moore, Director and Senior Evangelist at Lamb and Lion Ministries, wrote:
The greatest of all the end-time signs is the existence of Israel.
The “dry bones” have been regathered into a modern nation-state (Ezekiel 36-37) that continues to survive despite the concerted efforts of satanically inspired purveyors of hate.
For those who have visited the Promised Land, you have witnessed the beauty and wonder of a restored Israel with your own eyes.
For those who have not been able to visit Israel, a nation coming back from the dead as prophesied testifies to the Lord’s doing.
The miracle that is Israel is truly marvelous in our eyes!
(My opinion: I agree. Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! God’s truth is marching on, and it is marvelous in the eyes of those that are watching.)
(By the way: “Watch” is a command, not a suggestion.)
Here is more truth from the book of Zechariah (Zech. 12:1-3).
“The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
The Creator of all things said all who attack Jerusalem (at the end of the age) will be cut in pieces, and there are not enough people on earth to capture Jerusalem.
Israel is under attack on seven fronts today (from Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria, Hamas and others in the Gaza Strip, Iraq, the Houthis in Yemen, and from terrorists inside Israel in Judea and Samaria), and all her attackers are losing.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! God’s truth is marching on.
Many of those that are attacking Israel today are proxies of Iran.
Iran is threatening to attack Israel soon.
On Jan. 9, 2025, Harbinger’s Daily posted an article by Robert Gottselig (Director of The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry in Canada), and Gottselig said:
Students of God’s Word know that Iran will continue in its demonic plans to attack Israel until the God of Israel brings it to a decisive end, as we read in Ezekiel 38-39.
The truth is that the Iranian regime’s days are numbered, and they ought to tremble before the God of Israel—who neither slumbers nor sleeps.
God is indeed taking note, and judgment will come one day soon.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! God’s truth is marching on.
Here are more reasons to believe this way:
One, on Jan. 8, 2025, Jimmy Evans, founder and former senior pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, Texas, said he loves Bible prophecy and he intends to focus on teaching it the rest of his life.
According to his website,
We are living in a moment of widespread uncertainty.
People are fearful.
The news is almost always negative.
That’s because we are living at the end of the end times.
But God gave us Bible prophecy not to cause fear but to bring hope.
It is more important than ever to bring our message of hope to those who are confused, frightened, or upset by the state of the world.
We want to prepare believers for the return of Jesus Christ.
(FYI: I do not know why Jimmy Evans said end of the end times, but I know that the Battle of Gog and Magog will take place in the latter years and latter days, and some prophecy teachers believe latter years and latter days means at the end of the end times. I believe pastor Evans is right and am delighted to see the truth of Bible prophecy marching on.)
(More: On Jan. 14, 2025, it was reported that Russia’s Pres. Putin and Iran’s Pres. Pezeshkian will sign a comprehensive partnership pact with far-reaching military implications in Moscow on Jan. 17, 2025.)
Two, concerning Israel being a great army and expanding its borders at the end of the age: a key provision of Israel’s ceasefire agreement with Lebanon requires Lebanon to remove Hezbollah from south of the Litani River.
Lebanon has not met that requirement, so on Jan. 8, 2025, Israeli officials said they will not withdraw their military from Lebanon until Lebanon meets it.
(More: Lebanon said its military is not strong enough to do it, so the Biden administration has transferred more than $100 million ($95 million that was appropriated for Egypt and $7.5 million that was appropriated for Israel) from Egypt and Israel to Lebanon. The problem is that Hezbollah has infiltrated Lebanon’s army, and they will wind up with part of the money and can use it to fight Israel.)
Three, concerning wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age:
On Jan. 8, 2025, U.S. jets carried out multiple strikes against two underground Iranian-backed Houthi weapons storage facilities in Yemen.
On Jan. 9, 2025, the Houthis in Yemen launched three drones at Israel. All of them were shot down.
On Jan. 10, 2025, the U.S. and UK attacked ports, a power station, and some military infrastructure in Yemen.
Four, concerning bad leaders, leaders with reprobate minds, etc. at the end of the age, according to Zero Hedge as of Friday morning (1-10-25), the LA fires have:
Killed at least ten people.
Forced the evacuation of 180,000 people.
Destroyed more than 10,000 structures.
Caused up to $150 billion in preliminary damages and economic losses.
The LA Times reported that the Santa Ynez Reservoir (a critical 117-million-gallon water source that could have prevented a lot of this) has been empty and offline for almost a year.
(My comment: I have been asked if I think the judgment of God is falling on LA. I do not know. But I do know that one way God judges people is to give them bad leaders. He does this to motivate repentance and prayer. He will help those that repent and pray. But He may ramp it up if they don’t repent and pray.)
Five, concerning bad leaders, leaders with reprobate minds, etc., at the end of the age: according to The Expose on Jan. 10, 2025, the UK is expecting freezing temperatures in the coming weeks, and it only has one week’s worth of natural gas.
The low gas reserves are a result of the UK’s reliance on wind farms, but the wind speeds have been low and the wind farms are not producing enough energy.
(My comment: The UK citizens have been turning away from God and Israel for years. God is loving and patient, but there will be a payday someday, and elections have consequences.)
Six, concerning world government: on Jan. 8, 2025, Vasko Kohlmayer (author, grew up in Communist Czechoslovakia), expressed his opinion that globalism is collapsing.Top of Form
Some of his reasons include:
The election of Donald Trump.
The resignation of Justin Trudeau.
The possibility that the governments of Austria, Germany, France, Britain, and others could fall.
Kolhmayer says public discontent is reaching a boiling point.
(My opinion on this: Jesus said there will be distress of nations with perplexity – discontent on earth – when His return is near; see Luke 21:25-27.)
Kolhmayer believes the globalists were largely successful in controlling the public discontent with demonization and censorship for a while, but those tactics started failing when Elon Musk bought Twitter (now platform X) because Musk reaches people all over the world, and he started letting the truth come out.
Kolhmayer said:
The globalists are the real enemies of Democracy.
The truth is the exact opposite of what they claim.
They cannot withstand the truth.
Here is a link to his article (Here)
(My opinion: Several times, Jesus warned about deceit at the end of the age. Discontented people will eventually cry out for a man with a plan; there will be a world government, but God’s people will not be here. Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! God’s truth is marching on.)
Seven, concerning globalists demonizing and censoring people: on Jan. 9, 2025, Pres. Biden delivered a eulogy at the funeral of former Pres. Jimmy Carter at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
Carter’s casket was on a stage in the Cathedral.
The stage floor had a large Christian cross emblazoned on the floor with four more smaller Christian crosses emblazoned on the floor around the large cross.
Carter’s casket rested over the center of the large cross (where the vertical and horizontal bars crossed) with the four smaller crosses surrounding his casket.
Carter was a Christian, and to be surrounded by one of the most important Christian symbols on earth is very appropriate.
But here is the issue: Democrat Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has been criticizing Pres. Trump’s nominee to head the Defense Dept. (Pete Hegseth) for, among other things, having a Christian symbol tattooed on his body.
She thinks this makes Hegseth an extremist.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
Peace: Still the Mantra in 2025
Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2025/01/19/peace-still-the-mantra-in-2025/
While thinking on the inauguration of the 47th president of the United States on this 20th day of January 2025, I reflect on things more than a decade earlier.
I wrote in January of 2010 the following. Peace is more than the absence of war in which blood is shed while weapons destroy and death tallies their toll. Peace is contentment, with prospects for a future free of worry that conflict will disrupt tranquility. There is neither contentment nor tranquility upon this fallen sphere:
Conflict is everywhere one looks. Unsettling issues assault the eyes and ears—the senses—of the world community. Anxieties and perplexities inundate societies and cultures, nations, and continents. The voices of humanity cry “Peace! Peace!” when there is no peace. As much as I would like to bring tidings of great joy—having just celebrated the birth of Christ—I cannot do so from the perspective of what is going on here on earth. The year 2010 just ahead looks bleak for a world of inhabitants who, by and large, reject the only One who can bring peace. The rejection portends the ascent of evil that is prophetically scheduled to grow worse, according to the apostle Paul: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13).
That forecast certainly has proven accurate. But it is God’s prophetic Word, not this poor messenger’s predictive acumen, that made the 2010 prognostication an easy one. The times here at the beginning of 2025 have changed only in that the outlook for peace this darkening world seeks flees farther distant by the hour.
While seducers are on the scene in this generation at every level of human interaction, deadly conflict lurks just around the geopolitical corner in the region of planet earth foretold to be the host geographical area of man’s most horrific war. The prince of Persia foments rage against God’s chosen nation, inciting the likes of Iran’s Islamic leadership to create weapons that can destroy Israel, thus hoping to derail God’s prophetic plan to install the King of all kings upon the throne of David. Alliances form that make the wary student of Bible prophecy know that the prophet Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog coalition is coming together. One day the “evil thought” of Ezekiel 38:10 will come to a Russian leader’s mind. All hell will break loose in the most volatile region on earth.
Politicians in America and in other nations lie to their publics, promising resolution to civil and economic strife and perplexities that have no chance of improvement, based upon those leaderships’ self-serving motives and intentions. They seduce the publics they are supposed to serve, and instead rule with deluding words that flow from the mind of the great deceiver himself—the father of lies.
Religious leaders—even supposed Christian leaders—move their flocks in directions away from, not toward, the God of Heaven and His prescription for living a peaceful life on this ever-darkening planet. Indeed, the seducers of religiosity grow worse and worse, and the gospel light dims for America as it has been dimming for so long in Europe, out of which the American republic burst under God’s great providence.
Still, the self-delusion that man-made peace can prevail over this sin-blackened world persists. The cry for peace and safety is exponentially ratcheting up in the region prophesied to host the worst and final war of the age—Armageddon. That cry for peace and safety predicted to characterize the end of the age is front and center in today’s headlines.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking to the 79th session of the UN General Assembly September 27, 2024, laid out the opposition to peace God’s chosen nation faces in this time so near the end of the age:
Mr. President, Ladies and gentlemen, I didn’t intend to come here this year. My country is at war, fighting for its life.
But after I heard the lies and slanders leveled at my country by many of the speakers at this podium, I decided to come here and set the record straight. I decided to come here to speak for my people. To speak for my country, to speak for the truth. And here’s the truth: Israel seeks peace. Israel yearns for peace. Israel has made peace and will make peace again. Yet we face savage enemies who seek our annihilation, and we must defend ourselves against them.
These savage murderers, our enemies, seek not only to destroy us, but they seek to destroy our common civilization and return all of us to a dark age of tyranny and terror. When I spoke here last year, I said we face the same timeless choice that Moses put before the people of Israel thousands of years ago, as we were about to enter the Promised Land.
Moses told us that our actions would determine whether we bequeath to future generations a blessing or a curse.
And that is the choice we face today: the curse of Iran’s unremitting aggression or the blessing of a historic reconciliation between Arab and Jew.
But, that cry for peace isn’t working—not yet, anyway. One day the “prince that shall come” (Daniel 9:27) will confirm such a covenant of peace that will temporarily induce euphoria for a fearful world. But the present Israeli prime minister isn’t fooled into thinking such a covenant is at hand. His words haven’t changed since back in 2010. He said at that time: “There’s no more time for excuses. It is time for action.” Netanyahu also said that Israel’s most important challenge is Iran’s attempt to get nuclear weapons.
We have witnessed since that time now fifteen years ago not the trending toward peace between Israel and its enemies, but a severe ratcheting-up of terrorism and war-making. The Hamas atrocities of October 7, 2023, have thrown fuel on the fire of Middle Eastern volatility.
Iran continues to be at the center of all of it, with the new president of the United States, as of today, January 20, 2025, promising quick and devastating action against Iran’s nuclear threat, and against the Hamas perpetrators of the most heinous evil against the Jewish state since Hitler’s holocaust.
All of this gloom for this new year is depressing, you say. What a downer to begin 2025! The hope in all of this is glorious beyond imagination, however. It is the “blessed hope” of Titus 2:13 who remains in complete control. For the student of Bible prophecy, whose Lord is the King of kings, all of the foreboding for this world that is passing away means Christ’s return to make all things right on planet earth must be near indeed. The Prince of Peace is about to intervene dramatically into the disastrous affairs of humanity.

5 Historic Emergencies That Trump Will Be Confronted with Immediately as He Returns to The White House
by Michael Snyder - https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/5-historic-emergencies-that-trump-will-be-confronted-with-immediately-as-he-returns-to-the-white-house/
Buckle up and hold on tight, because things are about to get really wild. Immediately after taking the oath of office, Donald Trump is going to be faced with incredibly difficult decisions which could have enormous implications for every man, woman and child in this country. There will be all sorts of people giving him all sorts of advice, and it won’t always be easy to distinguish the good advice from the bad advice. So let us pray that he makes his choices wisely. The following are 5 historic emergencies that Trump will be confronted with immediately as he enters the White House…
#1 A Major War
Iran has gotten extremely close to being able to build nuclear weapons, and once they are able to do that it is inevitable that the Iranians will distribute such weapons to Hezbollah and other terrorist proxies. Joe Biden had been considering a pre-emptive strike on Iran’s nuclear program, but he ultimately decided not to pull the trigger. Now it is Donald Trump’s turn. According to the Wall Street Journal, a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities has been under “serious review by some members of his transition team”…
President-elect Donald Trump is weighing options for stopping Iran from being able to build a nuclear weapon, including the possibility of preventive airstrikes, a move that would break with the longstanding policy of containing Tehran with diplomacy and sanctions.
The military-strike option against nuclear facilities is now under more serious review by some members of his transition team, who are weighing the fall of the regime of President Bashar al-Assad—Tehran’s ally—in Syria, the future of U.S. troops in the region, and Israel’s decimation of regime proxy militias Hezbollah and Hamas.
Needless to say, if the U.S. and/or Israel takes out Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Iranians will go ballistic and there will be a major war in the region.
#2 A New Pandemic
If you thought the last one was bad, just wait until you see what is coming next.
According to NBC News, the Biden administration and Trump’s team have been working together to formulate a response to the “escalating bird flu outbreak spreading in the United States”…
Amid an escalating bird flu outbreak spreading in the United States, federal health officials have begun to brief members of the incoming Trump administration about how they’ve responded to the crisis so far.
“We sent them all of the information on our work,” said a Biden administration health official familiar with transition briefings within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It’s the first indication that the two administrations appear to be working together to prioritize the H5N1 response.
Apparently part of that response is 590 million dollars in additional funding “to push Moderna’s messenger RNA-based pandemic flu vaccine towards approval”…
The federal government has committed an additional $590 million to push Moderna’s messenger RNA-based pandemic flu vaccine towards approval, as the Biden administration, in its waning hours, ramps up preparations for a potential H5N1 avian influenza pandemic.
#3 Economic Trouble
Inflation is starting to really accelerate once again, and this is particularly true for food prices…
There isn’t one factor. Bird flu is killing chickens, cutting egg supplies and sending wholesale prices to a record. Extreme heat and dry weather in the world’s coffee-growing regions have sent the cost of brews surging. Chocolate and cereal makers have raised prices for their products, too.
It is a problem for consumers, who are still acclimating to a stretch of bruising inflation following the Covid-19 pandemic. Shoppers are picking up more store-branded groceries and scouring multiple stores for the best deals. Grocery prices in December were roughly 28% higher than they were five years ago, according to the Labor Department.
No president can magically zap the bird flu out of existence or cause it to rain in areas where it isn’t raining.
The truth is that there is no easy solution on the horizon, and prices on some key staples such as eggs are expected to go much higher in 2025…
During his 2024 campaign, President-elect Donald Trump repeatedly made the promise that “prices will come down,” BBC reports, but according to two experts, that won’t be happening any time soon — at least when it comes to the price of eggs.
While eggs are already “40% more expensive now than they were a year ago,” KTLA notes, according to the Department of Labor, the raging avian flu epidemic means “it’s about to get even worse.”
The epidemic — which “has already led to the death of more than 100 million egg-laying hens” — according to the report, is expected to spike egg prices “as much as 20% more in 2025.”
#4 A Historic Natural Disaster
It is now being projected that the fires in the Los Angeles area will be the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history by a wide margin.
Unfortunately, this is a crisis that is far from over, because extremely high winds are expected to return to southern California this week…
Los Angeles is bracing itself for more catastrophic wildfires this week as weather forecasters predict the return of gusting Santa Ana winds of up to 100 miles per hour.
More than 27 people have died and 22,000 buildings have burned in at least six wildfires since the first fire erupted on January 7.
#5 A Government at War With Itself
Donald Trump says that he wants to “drain the swamp” and make major changes to how the federal government operates.
That is great.
Unfortunately, about half of the people that run our federal agencies intend to resist what Trump will be trying to do…
When asked if they would most likely be supporting or resisting the Trump administration over the next four years, government managers were almost evenly split with 44% saying they would support the administration and 42% saying they would resist.
But the divide between those federal managers who would resist and those who would support the incoming Trump administration grew much sharper when respondents were questioned along party lines.
89% of Republican federal employees said they would either “somewhat support” or “strongly support” the administration, while 73% of Democrat bureaucrats surveyed said they would either “somewhat resist” or “strongly resist.”
Our federal government is literally going to be at war with itself.
If you think that transforming the largest government bureaucracy in the history of the world is going to be easy, you are just kidding yourself.
We are moving into a time of tremendous turmoil, and it won’t be pretty.
The good news is that 2025 is certainly not going to be boring.
The news cycle will be speeding along at a breathtaking pace, and I believe that we will witness one historic event after another during the next 12 months.
California’s Wildfires, A Calamity of Whose Making?
By Jonathan Brentner - https://harbingersdaily.com/californias-wildfires-a-calamity-of-whose-making/
As the fires rage in the Los Angeles area, the casting of blame continues unabated. Die-hard environmentalists insist that climate change is the primary culprit. Those making such a claim overlook the vast array of other factors that have contributed to the ongoing disaster.
Water mismanagement was a key factor. Fire hydrants with no water or low water pressure clearly made matters much worse. In his January 12 morning message, Jake Hibbs highlighted this critical factor by pointing out that California had received record rainfall during the past two years but let most of it drain into the ocean rather than store it. The video of firemen carrying water from their truck to the fire with small vessels due to no fire hoses is a sight I won’t soon forget.
When I lived in the Los Angeles area in the mid to late 1970s, I noticed how the authorities controlled the vegetation and forests on the foothills that surrounded the area. I saw several large breaks in the landscape where they had stripped the land bare of all vegetation and trees so as to slow the momentum of fires once they started. During this time, a fire left a light dusting of ashes on the sidewalk outside my apartment, but the firefighters were able to contain the blaze mainly to the foothills because of such careful protection of the environment.
Fifty years later, the lack of preventative land management allowed the fires to grow with unstoppable force by the time they reached the populated areas.
It’s Not the Apocalypse
Some are using the language of the book of Revelation to describe the devastation left by the fires. I hear the word “apocalyptic” used to describe the widespread devastation.
The word “apocalypse” is a transliteration that comes from Revelation 1:1, “The revelation of Jesus Christ” (my emphasis). In the Greek, the word denotes an appearing or manifestation. The last book of the Bible reveals the person, might, and character of the Lord Jesus on all its pages.
While for many, the word communicates the horrors of what the world sees on the videos that continue to stream from Southern California, what we see is not yet the unveiling of the Lord and His wrath upon the world. It’s not the apocalypse. That cannot happen until after the Rapture.
In addition, the horrific scenes from Los Angeles do not rise to the level of carnage that will mark the seven-year Tribulation. The seal judgments that will come early in this period will result in the death of one-fourth of the population (Revelation 6:1-8).
The Great Day of Wrath
There’s another noteworthy aspect of the Tribulation that sets apart the judgments of the book of Revelation from the disasters that we continue to witness in California and elsewhere. Please note the world’s responses to the horrific events that will mark the start of the Tribulation: “Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?’” (Revelation 6:15-17, emphasis added).
Not only will the horrific events of the Tribulation exceed what we now witness in terms of devastation and death, but people will correctly identify them as the “wrath of the Lamb.” I have heard a great many explanations for the fires that continue in the Los Angeles area, but I have yet to hear government officials, the elite, or the rich attribute them to “God’s wrath.”
Though people will recognize the Lord’s hand of judgment during the Tribulation, the vast majority of them will refuse to repent of their sins (see Revelation 9:20-21). If there’s any similarity between now and then, it’s that what we see warns mankind of its urgent need to turn to the Savior.
It’s Not a Coincidence
Although it’s not the apocalypse, I believe God has a purpose for the unmitigated disaster that’s unfolding before our eyes in Southern California. He has allowed incompetent government officials, DEI hiring practices, serious lapses of judgment, fierce Santa Ana winds, and evil people starting fires to lead to this deadly calamity. It’s not a coincidence that the fires not have not only struck at the heart of America’s entertainment industry, which has long polluted minds with trashy films but also at what has become the headquarters of a multi-billion-dollar porn filmmaking industry.
Perhaps it’s also not a coincidence that the fires started soon after Hollywood verbally mocked God at the Golden Globes award ceremony on January 5, 2025.
It’s difficult for me not to see God’s hand in bringing together the many factors that contributed to the dreadful images that continue to stream our way from the West Coast. It’s not the Day of the Lord wrath, but we would amiss not to see it as His warning of what lies ahead for those who refuse to respond to His gracious offer of salvation.
It’s understandable that people would compare the Los Angeles fires with the judgments they read about in the book of Revelation. It’s important, however, to note the key difference. What we now see is not yet the “wrath of the Lamb” but rather a warning of its impending arrival and a call for repentance.
There’s coming a day when many will correctly identify the dreadful events of their day as the “wrath of the Lamb,” but then it will be too late for them to escape the Lord’s fury.
Daily Jot: Choosing Life
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
This current time in which we live is distinctly marked as a struggle between life and death. It is evidenced by the terrorist attacks by the Islamic death cult, raging disasters often exacerbated by inept human leadership, and the religion of death found in abortion. Life is central to God’s eternal plan. That informs the evil dedication to killing life with death. As the Lord says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” While we are not all prophets, God has set us apart and has given us a choice to join His plan of life, liberty and blessing for His creation. We have many examples in scripture. Let us examine the story of Moses.
The descendants of Jacob/Israel had multiplied and become very powerful in the land of Goshen. The new Pharaoh feared that there would be an uprising, and enslaved them. But God remembered them—enter Moses, who’s life was preserved by the LORD through the actions of five women. The first two were the midwives, Shifrah and Puah, who refused the king’s order to kill the Israelite male babies as they were being born. The third was Jochebed, Moses’s mother, who hid Moses as long as she could. The fourth, Moses’s sister Miriam, ensured he was safely delivered in a basket on the Nile to the fifth, Pharaoh’s daughter, who adopted and raised Moses as her own son.
The narrative then fast forwards to the time when at 40 years old, Moses visits his people and kills an Egyptian task master for beating an Israelite slave. When the incident became known, Moses fled to Midian where he became a shepherd for his father-in-law Jethro. One day as he was tending sheep on Mt. Horeb, the Angel of the LORD spoke to him from the burning bush. The LORD tells him how He has heard the cry of His people Israel, and wants to send Moses to Pharaoh to deliver them. Moses, after much discussion, reluctantly chooses to accept the role that the LORD had planned for Moses. He stepped into his destiny and changed the world forever.
The devil’s efforts to prevent deliverance of God’s people from Egypt and destroy the descendant line of the Messiah were foiled by the preservation of the life of Moses and his subsequent choice of obedience to God. No doubt God had set apart Moses and established his mission before he was formed in the womb. This is a powerful example of how choosing life and obedience is so vitally important to God’s plan for each of us. Promoting death, and convincing life-givers (women) that it is their duty to kill their babies if they are inconvenienced by them is nothing short of evil. Your life has meaning because it is appointed by God and given through the miracle of birth. When given the choice, always choose life that you and your seed may have life and have it more abundantly.
Daily Devotion: The Triumphant Arrival

“A large crowd of Passover visitors took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted, ‘Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hail to the King of Israel!’”
—John 12:12–13
Jesus returned to Bethany to attend a supper celebrating the miracle of Lazarus’ resurrection. But even as Jesus and His friends celebrated life, the specter of death hung in the air, although Jesus was the only one who realized it. John tells us the supper took place six days before the Passover. In other words, about a week before Jesus’ crucifixion.
Jesus knew full well what awaited Him in Jerusalem. He was always aware of God’s timetable for Him. For years, He had said, “My time has not yet come.” But now His time had come. Unimaginable agony awaited Him. Still, He took the time to celebrate with His friends, just as He had mourned with them when Lazarus died.
During the supper, Lazarus’ sister Mary presented Jesus with an extraordinary gift and act of humble service. In the culture of that time, it was customary for hosts to wash the feet of their guests with water and anoint them with a drop of scented oil.
Mary took that custom to the next level. She used a 12-ounce jar of very expensive perfume to wash Jesus’ feet. (By one estimate, the cost of that 12-ounce jar of perfume was equal to a year’s salary.) After she washed his feet, she let down her hair, something Jewish women of that era rarely did in public. She then used her hair to dry Jesus’ feet. She sacrificed her possessions and her pride to honor Jesus.
Her act of service and humility left everyone in the room stunned. And left the room smelling amazing, no doubt. But the stunned silence didn’t last long. Judas Iscariot—the disciple who was about to betray Jesus—complained that Mary should have sold the perfume and given the money to the poor. But don’t get the wrong idea about him. He didn’t care about the poor. He served as treasurer for Jesus and the disciples. He managed the money donated by Jesus’ supporters. He also was a thief who skimmed coins from the treasury. He was probably upset that he didn’t have a chance to “broker” the exchange of funds between Mary and the poor.
Jesus was quick to defend Mary. “Leave her alone. She did this in preparation for my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me” (verses 7–8 NLT). He accepted her humble sacrifice in the spirit in which she intended it.
Meanwhile, back in Jerusalem, the chief priests were plotting to kill not just Jesus but Lazarus too. Many of them were Sadducees, who taught that there was no resurrection. Lazarus’ return to life was an embarrassment to them, and they wanted to eliminate the evidence of it.
When Jesus set out for Jerusalem, news of His coming spread fast. Just as His enemies had feared, people wanted to see the One who had power over death. Crowds lined the streets and waved palm branches because they believed they were welcoming their king. Finally, they had a Messiah who would lead a revolt against Rome. Or so they thought.
In that sense, they were like people today who embrace Jesus when they think He can advance their agenda. These people use the parts of His message that coincide with their own aims and conveniently ignore the rest.
But when those crowds who welcomed Him into Jerusalem learned once and for all what His agenda really involved—and what He really expected from His followers—they didn’t just abandon Him. They angrily demanded His execution.

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
