Why Israel Will Likely Strike Iran’s Nuclear Sites
by Bill Salus - http://www.prophecydepotministries.net/2025/why-israel-will-likely-strike-irans-nuclear-sites/
“Conditions are ripe to strike Iran’s nuclear program, sec. official says”
“Iran has never been more vulnerable to strikes against its nuclear capabilities,” the official said…The official added that Israel will not allow a nuclear Iran and, therefore, will continue to prepare to strike the nuclear project.” (Jerusalem Post – 11/22/24)
Don’t be surprised to wake up one nearby morning to this sort of headline, “Israel Conducts Pre-emptive Strikes Against Iran’s Nuclear Sites.” Day by day this scenario becomes more likely. In fact, on October 26, 2024, Israel struck and destroyed Iran’s top-secret nuclear weapons research facility in Parchin.
“Israel destroyed secret Iranian nuke site in October strikes”
“The facility in Parchin was completely destroyed during Israel’s Oct. 26 attack on Iran, according to satellite imagery.” (JNS – 11/16/24)
This timely article will explore the menu of reasons why Israel will likely soon strike Iran’s nuclear site(s). The reasons will be identified numerically below in no specific order of importance and then expounded upon subsequently.
The Menu of Reasons Israel Will Likely Strike
1. Israel has a history of striking nuclear facilities.
2. Israel holds to the “Begin Doctrine” established by Menachem Begin in 1981.
3. Israel has vowed to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
4. Israel has destroyed Iran’s primary missile defense systems rendering Iran vulnerable to an Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities.
5. Israel will likely have America’s approval through the presidency of Donald Trump.
6. Israel will not likely face severe retaliation from Iran’s proxies.
7. Israel has destroyed most of Syria’s missile defense systems, which enables more freedom to fly safely to Iran over Syrian air space.
8. Israel has to act now because Iran is on the fast track to obtaining several nuclear bombs.
9. An ancient Bible prophecy in Jeremiah 49:34-39 may foretell of such a nuclear strike.
1. Israel has a history of striking nuclear facilities.
In modern history, Israel has destroyed two nuclear reactors in the Middle East. One in Iraq and the other in Syria.
Operation Opera in (Iraq): In a surprise attack On June 7, 1981, which was the 14-year anniversary of Israel’s Six-Day War against Egypt, Syria and Jordan, Israel destroyed Iraq’s unfinished Osirak nuclear reactor. This is when the “Begin Doctrine” was established. This doctrine will be discussed next.
Operation Orchard (Syria): Acting in accordance with the “Begin Doctrine, on September 6, 2007, Israel conducted a preemptive airstrike that destroyed a suspected nuclear reactor at the Al Kibar site in Syria.
2. Israel holds to the “Begin Doctrine” established by Menachem Begin in 1981.
“The Begin doctrine is the common term for the Israeli government’s preventive strike, counter-proliferation policy regarding their potential enemies’ capability to possess weapons of mass destruction (WMD), particularly nuclear weapons… The doctrine itself was enunciated by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in June 1981, following Israel’s attack on Iraq’s nuclear reactor Osirak in Operation Opera. The doctrine remains a feature of Israeli security planning.”
The Wikipedia quote above provides a good explanation of the Begin (Menachem) Doctrine. The interesting story behind the implementation of this doctrine was told to me by Israeli envoy to the USA Yoram Ettinger in 2014 at a breakfast meeting. White House correspondent Bill Koenig and I sat down together with Yoram and asked him if he thought Israel would strike Iran’s nuclear site(s). His response is provided in the story below.
Sometime in the first half of 1981, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin called together all of Israel’s top military and key political leaders in a closed-door meeting to discuss how to handle Iraq’s developing nuclear program. The potential of Iraq possessing a nuclear weapon posed an existential threat to the Jewish state.
Begin sought the leader’s opinions about the potential outcomes of an Israeli pre-emptive strike upon Iraq’s Osirak unfinished nuclear reactor. They were not in favor of such a strike for the following reasons:
1. It could incite the entire Muslim world to unite against Israel in a massive war that might potentially wipe Israel off of the map.
2. It could cause strong condemnation by the international community, including America and the Western world, because they were mostly supporting Iraq in its war against Iran at the time.
3. This international condemnation could lead to harsh sanctions that could topple Israel’s economy.
Additional adverse conditions were also mentioned and the consensus was that this would be a BAD MOVE! Begin respectfully thanked all of his top confidants and then responded by saying something along the lines of, “If we don’t destroy the reactor and Iraq gets a nuclear weapon, this could result in the end of the Jewish state.” He concluded by stating, “We will strike Iraq NOW!”
Shortly thereafter, Israel destroyed the Osirak reactor and none of the above concerns manifested as a result. This scenario is what led to the implementation of the Begin Doctrine, which is still in place and understood by Israel’s present political and military leaders. Thus, a pre-emptive strike on nuclear reactors has historical precedent with Israel.
3. Israel has vowed to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
“Israel’s Netanyahu says will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons” (Reuters – 4/12/21)
The Reuters quote above dates back to 2021, which shows that for a long time Israel has pledged that Iran will not allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. As the headline below evidenced, this pledge even dates back before the JCPOA Iranian nuclear agreement was implemented in 2015. Presently, this pledge is still in effect.
“Netanyahu: Israel Won’t Allow Iran To Get Nuclear Bomb” (Radio Free Europe – 10/1/13)
4. Israel has destroyed Iran’s primary missile defense systems rendering Iran vulnerable to an Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities.
“Israel took out primary Iranian air defenses, left it ‘essentially naked’”
“Sources tell Fox News airstrikes destroyed remaining three S-300 batteries; Israeli official says ‘majority of Iran’s air defense was taken out’” (Times of Israel – 10/30/24)
On October 1, 2024, Iran launched about two hundred ballistic missiles at targets in Israel. Fortunately for Israel they were mostly ineffective. Subsequently, in a retaliatory strike into Iran on October 26, 2024, Israel destroyed a majority of Iran’s missile defenses rendering it essentially defenseless to a future Israeli strike upon Iran’s nuclear sites.
5. Israel will likely have America’s approval through the presidency of Donald Trump.
“Trump Team Weighs Options, Including Airstrikes, to Stop Iran’s Nuclear Program” (Wall Street Journal – 12/13/24)
According to the WSJ headline above, Donald Trump is already considering the option of airstrikes upon Iran’s nuclear program. Thus, it would be unlikely that he would oppose an Israeli strike. In fact, the headline below suggests that Trump is in favor of Israel going after Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“Trump urges Israel to take out Iran nuclear facilities, rips Biden for urging Jewish state to show restraint” (New York Post – 10/5/24)
“Report: Israel thinks Trump will back IDF strike on Iran nuke program or order US hit” (Times of Israel – 1/6/25)
6. Israel will not likely face severe retaliation from Iran’s proxies.
“Iran in a ‘position of unprecedented weakness’ after the fall of Assad in Syria” (France 24 – 12/9/24)
Syria, under the leadership of Bashar al-Assad was a major proxy of Iran. Assad allowed Iran to send weapons through Syria to Hezbollah. However Assad’s government has fallen and Assad has fled to Russia for asylum. In addition, Israel has destroyed the Syrian shipping corridor that Iran used, which has restricted Iran’s ability to further supply Hezbollah with much needed missiles and weapons.
“Hezbollah Loses Supply Route Through Syria, in Blow to It and Iran” (New York Times – 12/14/24)
Hezbollah, one of Iran’s strongest proxies has been severely damaged by Israel in their year-long war that Hezbollah initiated on October 8, 2023. With the supply lines cut off in Syria, Hezbollah’s fighting power has been drastically reduced.
“IDF reveals Hezbollah missile arsenal severely depleted since beginning of operations”
“The IDF estimates that “80% of Hezbollah’s rocket arsenal within a range of up to 40 kilometers has been destroyed.” (Jerusalem Post – 11/10/24)
Hamas, like Hezbollah, has become severely weakened in its war with Israel. They have mostly been reduced to fighting in guerilla warfare for their survival.
“Israeli Defense Minister Says Hamas Destroyed as Organized Fighting Force” (FDD –9/11/24)
“Palestinian armed groups adopt ‘guerrilla warfare’ against Israel” (The New Arab – 7/11/24)
The dynamics have changed in Israel’s favor as now Iran’s primary proxies have suffered devastating blows. As such, Israel will not likely face severe retaliation from Iran’s proxies should they strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
As I author this article, the Houthis are steadily launching missiles from Yemen into Israel, but Israel has vowed to make an end of this Iranian proxy as well.
“Israel struggles to deter escalating attacks from Yemen’s Houthi rebels as other fronts calm”
“The Iran-backed Houthis are stepping up their missile attacks, sending hundreds of thousands of Israelis scrambling for shelter in the middle of the night, scaring away foreign airlines and keeping up what could be the last major front in the Middle East wars.” (AP – 1/2/25)
“Israel, at UN, warns Houthis risk sharing same fate as Hamas, Hezbollah” (Reuters – 12/30/24)
7. Israel has destroyed most of Syria’s missile defense systems, which enables more freedom to fly safely to Iran over Syrian air space.
Israel claims to have destroyed most of Syria’s air defense systems, making it safer to fly over Syrian airspace on route to strike Iran.
“Israel destroys 85% of Syria’s air defense systems” (Middle East Monitor (MEM) – 12/13/24)
8. Israel has to act now because Iran is on the fast track to obtaining several nuclear bombs.
With the weakening of Hamas, Hezbollah and collapse of the Assad regime, Iran appears to be focusing more of its efforts toward developing nuclear weapons.
“Iran expands weaponization capabilities critical for employing nuclear bomb”
“Expert says Iran ‘is moving towards building the bomb at a rapid pace’” (Fox News – 12/20/24)
9. An ancient Bible prophecy in Jeremiah 49:34-39 may foretell of such a nuclear strike.
According to a biblical prophecy issued around 596 BC found in Jeremiah 49:34-39, a disaster is going to happen in Iran in the latter days. Jeremiah 49:37-38 declares this disaster is caused by God as a direct result of bad Iranian leadership doing something, or intending to do something that fiercely angers Him.
The prophecy involves the ancient territory of Elam. The modern-day location of Elam where this disaster takes place is in western Iran hugging the Persian Gulf.
Today, Iran is comprised of the historic lands of Elam and Persia. These are two distinctly different territories that have always been geographically separated by the Zagros Mountains.
But why does God get “fiercely angry” with the leaders of Iran? The verse below holds the key that unlocks the answer to this question.
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, (at), The foremost of their might.” (Jer. 49:35, NKJV; emphasis added)
The New Living Translation (NLT) says it this way,
“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: “I will destroy the archers of Elam— the best of their forces.”
The modern-day inference is that the bad Iranian leaders want to launch lethal missiles somewhere, perhaps tipped with nuclear payloads and these evil plans will be denied. God declares that He will, “break the bow,” or in other words destroy these missile launchers beforehand in order to prevent these deadly rockets from being dispatched.
As per the verse below, this catastrophe appears to cause a humanitarian crisis because in the aftermath the affected Iranians are forced into a worldwide dispersion, which suggests that this disaster could be nuclear-related.
“I will bring enemies from all directions, and I will scatter the people of Elam to the four winds. They will be exiled to countries around the world.” (Jer. 49:36, NLT)
Elam, (Western Iran), just so happens to be where most of Iran’s missile silos and portable rocket launchers are positioned. These launchers are mostly aimed at Israel. It is also the location of the following important Iranian military and nuclear related sites.
Isfahan: Iran’s largest nuclear research facility.
Natanz: Iran’s primary enrichment facility.
Bushehr: One of Iran’s nuclear reactors.
Shiraz: Iran’s special weapons and missile development facility.
These four sites are high-profile targets for Israel to strike. In fact, on April 19, 2024, Israel already conducted a limited drone attack at Isfahan.
“Israel Launches Drone Strikes Near Iranian Nuclear Facilities”
“On April 19 at approximately 3:00 AM local time the Israeli Defense Forces launched drone strikes on targets in and around the Iranian city of Isfahan.” (Military Watch Magazine – 4/19/24)
There is no evidence that Jeremiah’s Elam prophecy has found historical fulfillment, for which in light of current events makes this a potential prophecy to be on the lookout. The absence of historical proof is pointed out in my article available online entitled, “Has the Prophecy of Elam in Jeremiah 49:34-39 Been Historically Fulfilled?”
Thus, if the complete destruction of Elam has not happened historically, then logically this means the prophecies of Elam in Jeremiah 49:34-39 will take place sometime in the future. Who could God be so fiercely angry at now in modern-day Iran? Could it be the rogue Islamic regime who wants to wipe Israel off of the map using nuclear ballistic missiles?
In Jeremiah 49:35, God says He is going to bring about a great disaster in Western Iran. It causes a calamity that necessitates the worldwide dispersion of the indigenous population. Could this likely allude to a future great catastrophe in Iran that destroys their missile launching capabilities and some nuclear sites in the territory of Elam?
In these turbulent times things are rapidly changing in the Middle East, making it difficult to predict the next major Mideast headline. Who would have thought the Assad regime would collapse so quickly.
Maybe Iran will negotiate another nuclear deal, or there might be a regime change in Iran, but for the menu of reasons identified in this article, it would be no surprise to see an Israeli pre-emptive strike upon Iran’s nuclear sites, and likely SOON!
For the studious readers, below are a few comments and quotes about these four strategic nuclear related targets and their connections with ancient Elam.
Isfahan: Isfahan province is one of Iran’s 31 provinces. Isfahan or Espahan is the capital city in this province and is Iran’s third biggest city, hosting a population of about 1.5 million people. Below are a few quotes connecting Isfahan with the territory of Elam.
“Located in the foothills of the Zagros Mountains, Isfahan is a city formed at a major crossroads of trans-Asia trade and military routes. As such, the city emerged gradually over the course of the Elamite civilization (2700 – 1600 BCE), though artifacts found at Isfahan date back to the Paleolithic period.”
“In the Pre-Islamic era, Isfahan was home to the settlement that developed into the Elamite civilization (2700 BC) and was the home of the Median dynasty until Cyrus the Great unified Persian and Median lands into the Achaemenid Empire ~ 600 BC.”[i]
Natanz: is also located in the Isfahan Province and is about seventy-five miles north of Isfahan, which is also in Elam.
Bushehr: is a province in Iran and is where Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor is located.
“The oldest evidence of settlement in Bushehr province dates back to the era of Elam (2700-539 B.C.), an ancient pre-Iranian civilization.”[ii]
Shiraz: The city of Shiraz in the province of Fars. The quote below pinpoints Fars in Elam.
“The Elamites’ homeland is a region known as Khuzestan in southwestern Iran. The geographical and political center of most of Elamite history was the city of Susa and its surrounding environs. However, the region of Fars in the Zagros Mountains and Anshan were also considered part of historical Elam.”[iii]

Broken Bow: The Prophecy of Elam
By Joe Hawkins, ThD - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/01/18/broken-bow-the-prophecy-of-elam-by-joe-hawkins-thd/
The prophecy of Elam found in Jeremiah 49:34-39 speaks of a significant event involving a once-powerful nation. While this prophecy may have had a historical fulfillment, its language suggests a future fulfillment, especially when viewed alongside current events. Elam, an ancient region located in southwestern Iran, has been the subject of speculation in light of recent geopolitical tensions, particularly concerning Iran’s nuclear program and regional instability.
The Prophecy in Jeremiah
The prophecy of Elam, delivered by Jeremiah, is recorded in Jeremiah 49:34-39:
“That which came as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, I am going to break the bow of Elam, the finest of their might. I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the four ends of heaven, and will scatter them to all these winds; and there will be no nation to which the outcasts of Elam will not go. So I will shatter Elam before their enemies and before those who seek their life; and I will bring calamity upon them, even My fierce anger,” declares the Lord, “And I will send out the sword after them until I have consumed them. Then I will set My throne in Elam and destroy out of it king and princes,” declares the Lord. “But it will come about in the last days that I will restore the fortunes of Elam,” declares the Lord.'”
Breaking the Bow of Elam
The first element of the prophecy is the breaking of Elam’s bow, which symbolizes its military might. In ancient times, the bow was a primary weapon in warfare, representing the strength and capability of a nation’s army. This “breaking” is seen as a future event where Elam’s military power will be crippled. Historically, Elam was known for its fierce military presence (Genesis 14:1), but the prophecy implies that its ability to wage war will be taken away.
In a modern context, this could be interpreted as a crippling blow to Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its growing nuclear program. The nuclear facility at Bushehr, located in the region that was once Elam, has been at the center of global attention. The “bow” could represent not only traditional military power but also Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which have the potential to be destroyed through military intervention or internal conflict.
Scattering to the Four Winds
The prophecy continues with a vivid image of Elam’s people being scattered “to the four winds.” This phrase represents a worldwide dispersion, similar to the fate of Israel when its people were scattered due to disobedience and judgment (Deuteronomy 28:64). The scattering of the Elamites implies a large-scale displacement, likely caused by warfare or disaster, where the people are forced to flee to every corner of the earth.
The scattering could be related to a nuclear disaster, a military strike, or internal collapse, driving the people of Elam out of their homeland. Current events in Iran, ranging from political unrest to economic instability, point toward a scenario where a mass migration could occur, fulfilling this aspect of the prophecy.
Divine Judgment and God’s Anger
Jeremiah 49:37 speaks of God bringing “calamity” upon Elam in the form of His fierce anger. This calamity is not specified but could include military defeat, political upheaval, or natural disasters. The Lord declares that He will send a sword after Elam, consuming them before their enemies. This echoes other prophecies of judgment where nations that rise against God face destruction (Jeremiah 25:15-17, Isaiah 34:1-2).
In light of Iran’s defiance in the face of international pressure over its nuclear program, this passage could hint at an external attack or internal civil war, both of which would result in significant devastation. It’s important to note that God’s judgment is often preceded by warning, as was the case with Israel and Judah (Jeremiah 25). If this prophecy pertains to modern-day Elam (Iran), then current tensions in the region could be the harbingers of divine judgment.
Setting God’s Throne in Elam
One of the most mysterious parts of this prophecy is the declaration that God will “set My throne in Elam” (Jeremiah 49:38). This indicates a future time when God will establish His presence or authority in the land of Elam. The idea of God setting His throne in a nation He previously judged suggests a significant shift, possibly a spiritual revival or divine intervention.
This could be tied to the concept of God’s sovereignty over the nations (Psalm 47:8), where even those nations that rebel against Him are ultimately subject to His rule. In the future, this may indicate that Elam, or the people of Iran, will experience a major transformation, turning to God in repentance and acknowledgment of His sovereignty. In fact, according to several reports, including the U.S. Department of State’s 2023 International Religious Freedom Report, Christianity is on the rise in Iran. I have personally heard many stories of a major revival in Iran.
Restoration in the Last Days
The prophecy ends with a promise of restoration: “But it will come about in the last days that I will restore the fortunes of Elam” (Jeremiah 49:39). Despite the judgment pronounced, God promises that Elam will be restored in the last days, which is consistent with His character of redemption (Jeremiah 30:3). This indicates that after a period of calamity, Elam will be brought back to a place of blessing, whether this means physical restoration or spiritual renewal.
This future restoration parallels other promises in Scripture, such as the eventual restoration of Israel (Isaiah 11:12, Ezekiel 37). Just as God will gather His people back to the land of Israel, He will also restore the fortunes of Elam. This may suggest that a significant remnant of people from Elam will experience spiritual revival, turning to the God of Israel in the last days.
Conclusion: Fulfillment on the Horizon
The prophecy concerning Elam may be approaching fulfillment as we observe the current geopolitical landscape. Iran’s nuclear ambitions, internal unrest, and strained relations with the international community create the conditions that could lead to the breaking of its military power and the scattering of its people. However, the prophecy ends with a hopeful promise of restoration in the last days, showing that God’s judgment is not the final word.
As events unfold in the Middle East, believers should remain watchful and prayerful, understanding that God’s plans for the nations, including Elam, will come to pass in His perfect timing. The prophecy of Elam, like many others, serves as a reminder of the sovereignty and mercy of God, who judges nations but also offers the hope of restoration for those who turn to Him.
Until next time, keep looking up for the Blessed Hope of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

We Got Out of The WHO Just in Time
by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/we-got-out-of-the-who-just-in-time/
If Donald Trump had not decided to pull the U.S. out of the World Health Organization, we could have had a real nightmare on our hands. The WHO’s “pandemic accord” is scheduled to be finalized by May 2025, and the drafts of that agreement that we have seen so far are extremely alarming. Can you imagine what the WHO will do during the next global pandemic if it possesses much more power and much more authority than it did during the last global pandemic? The truth is that we got out of the WHO just in time, and we should be very thankful for that.
Needless to say, the corporate media is not thrilled by this move at all. The following is the opening paragraph from CNN’s story about Trump’s decision…
President Donald Trump announced Monday he is withdrawing the US from the World Health Organization, in a significant move that drew criticism from public health experts on his first day back in the White House.
Of all of the executive orders that Trump signed on Monday, this is one that they have really singled out to complain about.
If you have not read Trump’s executive order yet, you can find it on the official White House website.
In response, the WHO has released a statement that urges the United States to reconsider this decision…
The World Health Organization regrets the announcement that the United States of America intends to withdraw from the Organization.
WHO plays a crucial role in protecting the health and security of the world’s people, including Americans, by addressing the root causes of disease, building stronger health systems, and detecting, preventing and responding to health emergencies, including disease outbreaks, often in dangerous places where others cannot go.
The United States was a founding member of WHO in 1948 and has participated in shaping and governing WHO’s work ever since, alongside 193 other Member States, including through its active participation in the World Health Assembly and Executive Board.
For over seven decades, WHO and the USA have saved countless lives and protected Americans and all people from health threats. Together, we ended smallpox, and together we have brought polio to the brink of eradication. American institutions have contributed to and benefited from membership in WHO.
With the participation of the United States and other Member States, WHO has over the past 7 years implemented the largest set of reforms in its history, to transform our accountability, cost-effectiveness, and impact in countries. This work continues.
We hope the United States will reconsider and we look forward to engaging in constructive dialogue to maintain the partnership between the USA and WHO, for the benefit of the health and well-being of millions of people around the globe.
This is an absolutely massive blow to the World Health Organization.
The United States was their most important member, and now other nations could be tempted to leave as well.
And that is tremendous news for those of us that love freedom.
For the past couple of years, bureaucrats at the WHO have been working on a “pandemic accord” which would result in sweeping changes. The following description of that agreement comes from the official WHO website…
The pandemic accord is designed to strengthen collaboration and coordination across sectors, and ensure all people—including youth, healthcare professionals, community members, patients, and other members of society—are protected.
If agreed upon, the accord would create incentives and opportunities for greater transparency and collaboration among countries in areas that are key to a global response to pandemic threats. It would also establish means to encourage governments to comply, such as procedures for reporting and accountability.
Ultimately, this “pandemic accord” would grant more power and more authority to the WHO, and it is expected to be finalized by May 2025…
The World Health Organization chief on Tuesday voiced confidence that states could finalize a pandemic agreement by May 2025, despite questions about whether the administration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will support it.
The WHO’s 194 member states have been negotiating for two years on an agreement that could increase collaboration before and during pandemics after acknowledged failures during COVID-19.
So what is the bottom line?
The bottom line is that we dodged a bullet, because it appears that the next global pandemic is rapidly approaching.
According to the WHO, the dangerous new strain of the monkeypox continues to spread in three nations in central Africa…
The outbreak of clade Ib monkeypox virus (MPXV) continues predominantly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi and Uganda, with new travel-related cases identified in previously unaffected countries. Recent travel-associated mpox cases highlight the risk of undetected transmission in countries, emphasizing the need for strengthened surveillance and timely reporting to improve global monitoring and prevent international spread.
And travelers continue to carry this new strain home when they return from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi and Uganda…
A new case of the monkeypox strain causing global alarm has been found in the UK, health officials have confirmed.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said the patient was found in East Sussex but was now under specialist care at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London.
They said the patient — the sixth UK case of the deadly strain to date — had recently returned to Britain from Uganda where the virus is spreading amongst the population.
Personally, I am even more alarmed about the bird flu.
A strain of H5N1 that recently infected a human in Texas is “more adept at replicating in human cells and causing severe disease in mice” than previous strains…
Researchers at the Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed) have identified a strain of bird flu isolated from a human in Texas that carries a distinctive set of mutations, making it more adept at replicating in human cells and causing severe disease in mice. This strain was compared to one found in dairy cattle, and the findings are detailed in Emerging Microbes & Infections.
The discovery underscores a significant concern about the H5N1 strains of bird flu currently circulating in the U.S.: the virus’s rapid mutation when it infects a new host species.
H5N1, which is naturally present in wild birds and deadly to chickens, has recently spread to a wide range of mammals and, for the first time in the spring of 2024, began infecting dairy cows.
And more confirmed human cases continue to pop up all over the country.
In fact, health authorities in San Francisco have no idea how a child in San Francisco just got infected with H5N1…
A child in San Francisco was recently confirmed to be the third human case of bird flu in the United States in which it’s unclear how the person got infected.
Cases have been spreading across the country since April 2024 with 67 confirmed as of Thursday, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Most human cases have occurred after coming into contact with infected cattle, infected poultry farms or other culling operations.
Whether it is the bird flu, monkeypox, or something else, it is just a matter of time before the next great global health scare erupts.
When we reach that point, at least we won’t have the WHO ordering us what to do.
And that is something to be very, very thankful for, because the ability to make our own health decisions is one of our most important freedoms.
Satan’s Fun House
By Tom Gilbreath - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-1-19-2025/
You see the fun house as you walk down the midway. You hear terrified screams before you ever step inside. A fun house plays tricks on the brain. People scream in terror, then laugh at their own reactions. Each moment of shock induces a fight or flight response, surging adrenaline through the body. Some might enjoy that excitement briefly, but no one would want to live there. Its chaotic images shock the system, and it is seriously loud.
In The Screwtape Letters, C. S. Lewis described the realms of Satan as “the Kingdom of Noise.” A fun house is a kind of kingdom of noise, except that it’s always a bluff — the dangers are never real. On the other hand, the world we live in is real, but we don’t always know the validity of the dangers it presents. As last-days deception grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to differentiate between the false and the genuine. Is the image a deep fake, or did that really happen? Is the esteemed scholar telling the truth, or is she manipulating the public for political reasons? Does the somber anchorman really know what he's talking about?
When the disciples asked Jesus for signs of His coming and of the end of the age in Matthew 24, His first words were, “Take heed that no one deceives you.” Throughout His discourse, He points to deception as a sign of the end, as do several other end time Bible prophecies.
People have been deceiving one another since Adam and Eve. So, Jesus was clearly talking about something more extreme. Today, lying and deception have become industrialized. We now have machines with which to spread lies like no generation before us. More than that, we have machines with the ability to create their own lies. That’s new and unexpected. The internet and artificial intelligence (AI) have done for deception what paved roads did for cars.
Futurism Magazine recently ran an article headlined, “Apple's AI Is Constantly Butchering Huge News Stories Sent to Millions of Users.” The article says the Apple AI pushes breaking news data to users “while often butchering it beyond recognition.” Some might say, “That’s not deception. It’s a programming error.” But, whether or not it was the programmer’s intention, when AI presents false facts as news, it still deceives people.
The problem grows exponentially when individuals, groups, or nations use AI to deceive on purpose. That’s already happening on a massive scale, and it’s going to get worse. An inadvertent error can be called misinformation. An intentional lie is disinformation.
Some of the most unlikely people now seem to recognize the new level of deception this generation faces. In his farewell address, President Biden warned, “Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation.” He has his own agenda for choosing this moment to attack technology and social media firms, but he’s right that we are being inundated with an “avalanche of misinformation and disinformation.”
How do we sort it out. It’s as if we are in a “fun house” where some of the monsters are illusions, and some are real. “The prince of this world” loves fear and confusion. But God is the opposite. 1 Corinthians 14:33 says, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”
In John 14:27 (NKJV), Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Need discernment? Study His Word and pray. Do you feel fear? Stay close to the Lord’s side. No matter what pops up in Satan’s fun house, it never surprises God. Whether the danger be real or false, do as He said. “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Senate Confirmation Hearings
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
In watching to some of the Senate confirmation hearings of President Trump’s cabinet nominees, it is a crying shame that these elected representatives are so very ignorant, rude, and, quite frankly, stupid. Let’s remember the definition of stupid: given to unintelligent decisions or acts; acting in an unintelligent or careless manner. Many, especially on the Democrat side of the aisle, used their time to promote their own personal legislation, to grandstand on political issues, or to attack the policies of Trump in his last administration—policies that actually worked. One of the hearings that demonstrated this collective dullness of intelligence was the hearing for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
Over the last four years, Democrats in both the Administration and Congress supported policies that stoked inflation and opened the borders to millions of illegal aliens. This has caused a housing crisis. Joe Biden’s energy policies doubled the price of fuel, which caused record inflation by driving up all goods, both in production and transportation. This had a significant impact on housing prices. In addition, the record influx of people coming into this country and the subsequent government programs making taxpayers pay for free or subsidized housing of these illegals, made housing in short supply—also driving up prices. So the question is how are young people expected to realize the American dream of home ownership?
Well, the Democrats had no problem in how they think it should be done—print more government money, provide more tax-funded subsidies, build more low-income housing, force builders to lower costs, and the socialist list was passed on from one Democrat Senator to another in their questions for HUD nominee Scott Turner. They would ask Turner a question and when he very politely and respectfully would begin answering it, they interrupted him and grandstanded about their own opinions. They tried to get him to commit to their liberal ideas of heavy-handed government in every aspect of the lives of those who wish to own a home. Turner, with great words of wisdom, gently but firmly shared his philosophies toward improving housing by lowering interest rates, boosting the economy and offering opportunity.
Throughout the hearing, Democrats themselves blamed inflation and influx of immigrants for creating the housing situation. But they never admitted that it was Biden’s and their policies that created the conditions for housing to be so unavailable or unaffordable. Now, some may say that I’m picking on Democrats, but I’m not. There was a clear difference of intelligence level and competency between the two represented parties. The Democrats have no clue about the free market and the impact of their socialist ideas, or if they do, they are inherently evil for purposely causing the horror in housing. Proverbs 18:2 says, “A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may express itself.” And that’s exactly what those Democrat Senators did, same issues, same solutions, same talking points, same, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.
Daily Devotion: One Way
Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” —John 14:6
If you had to define Christianity using only one Bible verse, John 14:6 would be a pretty good choice. In two sentences, Jesus gives us the core belief of Christianity, the distinctive feature that sets it apart from all other religions and belief systems.
Our culture encourages us to be spiritually open-minded. To accept all religious teachings as equally valid. To embrace the idea that all paths lead to God. And that it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as your faith is sincere.
But Jesus’ words in John 14:6 don’t give us those options. He is the way. There is no other path to God or Heaven except through Him. He is the truth. Any philosophy or scripture that doesn’t agree with His words and teachings cannot be true. He is the life. There is no way to live forever except through Him.
If that seems narrow-minded, consider this: God sacrificed what was most precious to Him—His Son—because it was the only way to pay the price for our sins. Jesus left His exalted place in Heaven to dwell among us and do what we couldn’t do: live a sinless life. God the Son allowed Himself to be mocked, beaten, and crucified. Even though He was innocent, He took God’s punishment for the sins of the world. He died in our place. He conquered death through His resurrection. He carried out God’s plan of salvation so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.
If there’s another path to God or Heaven (or if there’s another belief system that gives eternal life), that means God’s plan, the sacrifice of His Son, and Jesus’ suffering and death were unnecessary. If you believe Jesus didn’t have to die for you to be saved, you haven’t put your trust in Him.
Jesus reminds His followers that if we love Him, we will show it by obeying His commands. Relationship experts tell us there are many ways to express love to someone. But when that someone is Jesus, there’s just one: Do what He says. That includes turning the other cheek, going the extra mile, loving your neighbor, loving your enemy, caring for the needy, and prioritizing what’s important to Him. Keep making changes to your life so that it aligns with His.
The news of Jesus’ impending departure surely had a chilling effect on His disciples. No doubt they experienced some anxiety as they tried to imagine life without Him. But he wanted them to know He wasn’t leaving them empty-handed. The Holy Spirit was coming, and He would change their lives in ways they couldn’t imagine.
The Holy Spirit lives inside all believers. He guides us in our daily decision-making. He helps us discern God’s truth. He convicts us to confess and repent when we do wrong. He reminds us of Jesus’ words. He helps us understand Scripture. He helps shape our prayers. He nurtures spiritual fruit in our lives. He shows us how to be Jesus’ disciples.
Question for reflection: How do you confidently share the truth of Jesus as the exclusive way to God, even in a culture that values multiple beliefs?

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
