American Christians, Be Careful Not to Let Your Guard Down After Victory
By David Bowen - https://harbingersdaily.com/american-christians-be-careful-not-to-let-you-guard-down-after-victory/
I don’t know how many people have read The Art of War. This work is a fifth-century B.C. military strategy about understanding the enemy and describing how to exploit their weaknesses. One of the strategies is: “In war, the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won.” This means one of the best times to reattack an enemy is immediately after they have won a victory. This is the time when their guard is most likely to be down. This is a time when they are most vulnerable. Over the centuries, this strategy has been proven to work on the physical battlefield, but I also think it works on the spiritual battlefield.
Comments in Christian Circles
I say this because since the results of our election, I have seen a lot of comments in Christian circles about how things are now okay; that everything is going to be made right again since Donald Trump has won the presidency. I have even heard that Trump is our savior and that America is back in God’s good graces.
Yes, we should see many improvements in areas that are important to us, but this is not a time to get lax in prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. As the Christian world celebrates a victory, we need to be watchful, for, as The Art of War details, more forceful attacks designed to cause damage may come, and we can’t afford to let our guard down.
Pursue the Things of God with Diligence and Urgency
A common theme from the Christian circles is that now that Trump is in office and the Republicans have won the House and the Senate, they believe this sets the world up for the soon return of Christ. Shortly before returning to Heaven, Jesus told His disciples that someday He would return to establish His Kingdom. The Bible warns us against making precise predictions about the exact time of Jesus’ return, but yes, His return is certain. The apostle Paul looked for “the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).
Not Time to Cease from Action
The return of Christ is always presented in Scripture as a great motivation to action, not as a reason to cease from action. In 1 Corinthians 15:58, as Paul teaches on the Rapture, he says, “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.”
In 1 Thessalonians 5:6, Paul concludes a lesson on Christ’s coming with these words: “So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.” To retreat or to ease up was never Jesus’ intention for us. Instead, we work while we can as Scripture commands. “Night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). Until then, we must stay focused on our calling and commission.
The apostles, and every generation since, have lived and served with the idea that Jesus could return within their lifetime. Imagine what would happen if any generation had ceased their labor and just “waited”? They would have disobeyed Christ’s command to “go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” (Mark 16:15). The fruit of that approach would have been the slowing down or absence of spreading the Good News, the Gospel.
The apostles understood that Jesus’ imminent return meant they must busy themselves with God’s work. They lived their lives as if every day were their last. We, too, should view every day as a gift and use it to glorify God. We have been entrusted with the truth of who Jesus is and what he has done (1 Thessalonians 2:4); that is a tremendous privilege and responsibility!
Like a Thief in the Night
The unsaved, which may be the majority of the world, are not expecting or ready for the Rapture. Believers have been told the Day of the Lord, which begins with the Rapture, will come upon the unsaved “like a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2). Those who are left behind in the Rapture will be those who do not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within them. Believers can rest not in a political leader but in the knowledge that, “But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief” (1 Thessalonians 5:4).
The Five Wise Virgins
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). And because of faith, believers can be ready for the Rapture.
Jesus shared this truth in His parable of the five wise virgins. Five had their lamps trimmed and full of oil. The spiritual truth of that parable was that those five showed they cared about their spiritual condition. (Matthew 25:1-13). The remaining five did not care about their spiritual condition, and as the parable explains, when the bridegroom came, those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and those who were not prepared, the door was shut, and the Lord said to them, “I do not know you.”
Unfortunately, much of the world’s population lacks faith. Scripture clearly states that the time before Jesus’ return will be characterized by spiritual coldness and unbelief. Jesus spoke of His return and asked, rhetorically, “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
The Most Opportune Time for the Enemy to Attack
Will the economy get better? Will the price of food and gas get better? Will gender confusion be dealt with? Those are all battles to be won.
However, remember that after a victory, that is the most opportune time for the enemy to attack again. Be on the lookout for wolves in sheep’s clothing. Please do not let your guard down or become apathetic with your Christian responsibilities.
Only God knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36), but until then, let’s focus on being as diligent and active as possible. Come January 20, 2025, that is NOT a time to let your guard down and relax.
We Really Are Living in The End Times, and 2025 Is Going to Be a Nightmare
by Michael Snyder - https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/we-really-are-living-in-the-end-times-and-2025-is-going-to-be-a-nightmare/
Many people seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding regarding where we are in the grand scheme of things. We are not living at a time of endless peace and prosperity. Instead, we are living in a time of war, famine, pestilence and major natural disasters. We really are living in the end times, and the coming year is going to be filled with crisis after crisis. The good news is that you get to be here for it. All of human history has been building up to this particular chapter, and you are one of the lucky ones that is going to get to experience it.
According to the Institute for Economics & Peace, the number of military conflicts that are currently active is the highest that we have seen since World War II…
Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Syria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia… and so on. There are up to 56 active conflicts in the world, the highest number since World War II. Moreover, these carry an increasingly international component, with 92 countries involved in wars outside their borders. These are data from the latest Global Peace Index produced annually by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), a think tank that analyzes everything from military investment and the cost of violence to military laws and deaths in combat in 163 states and territories. “Getting the information is a challenge, but it allows us to compare dynamics. And what we see is a deterioration of peace over the last decade, especially in the last five years,” says Michael Collins, executive director of IEP.
Yes, we really are living at a time of wars and rumors of wars.
In fact, this week there were several more extremely alarming developments. For a detailed analysis, please see an article that I just wrote entitled “World War III Is Heating Up On Several Fronts, But Most Americans Have No Idea”. By this time next year, our world will look far different than it does right now. Leaders all over the globe have developed a really bad case of “war fever”, and we are closer to nuclear war than we have ever been before.
Meanwhile, hunger continues to intensify in many areas of the globe.
If you have plenty of food to eat, you should be quite grateful, because there are tens of millions of starving people that would trade places with you in a second.
In fact, there are tens of millions of people in the nation of Sudan alone that are dealing with severe hunger at this moment…
More than half the people in this nation of 50 million are suffering from severe hunger. Hundreds are estimated to be dying from starvation and hunger-related disease each day.
According to Reuters, every day one woman named Fleg walks two hours each way just to pick a few leaves so that she can fill her stomach with a “barely edible mush”…
So, every day after dawn, Fleg and other emaciated women from the camp make a two-hour trek to a forest to pick leaves off bushes. On a recent outing, several ate the leaves raw, to dull their hunger. Back at the camp, the women cooked the leaves, boiling them in a pot of water sprinkled with tamarind seeds to blunt the bitter taste.
For Fleg and the thousands of others in the camp, the barely edible mush is a daily staple. It isn’t enough. Some have starved to death, camp medics say. Fleg’s mother is one of them.
“I came here and found nothing to eat,” said Fleg. “There are days when I don’t know if I’m alive or dead.”
This is how people are really living on the other side of the planet.
Hunger is rising all over the world, but most Americans do not care because it has not affected them.
I believe that global hunger will get even worse in 2025, and I am convinced that pestilence will also be a major theme during the upcoming year.
Many of us are keeping a very close eye on the bird flu. It is being reported that the number of confirmed human cases in the state of California this year has now reached 31…
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) on November 27 warned residents about a second batch of raw milk on retail shelves that has tested positive for avian flu virus, as official await the results from the latest bulk milk tank testing on the farm in Fresno County that produces the products.
In other developments, the CDPH reported two more infections in dairy workers, raising the state’s human cases this year to 31, all but 1 involving exposure to sick cows. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed those 2 new cases, pushing the national total this year to 55.
Will this be the next great public health crisis?
I don’t know.
Scientists are also deeply concerned about outbreaks of the Marburg virus, a new strain of Mpox, and Oropouch…
A warning has been issued to travelers over the spread of three diseases, including the Marburg virus. It’s a close cousin of Ebola that’s been dubbed the “bleeding eye” virus due to one of its symptoms.
Marburg, Mpox and Oropouch (commonly called “sloth fever”) are spreading in multiple countries, according to the UK Department of Health’s site, Travel Health Pro.
Marburg is a rare but “severe hemorrhagic fever that can cause serious illness and death,” the U.S. Centers for Disease Control says, adding that there is no treatment or vaccine for it. But, if detected early, supportive care with rehydration and symptomatic treatment improves survival, according to the Africa CDC.
I know that a lot of people don’t want to hear this, but what is eventually coming is going to be so much worse than the last pandemic.
We also live at a time when we are getting hammered by major natural disaster after major natural disaster.
In 2023, the number of “billion dollar disasters” in the United States set an all-time record, and we are very close to breaking that record this year…
With the addition of three recent Atlantic hurricanes, the U.S. has experienced 24 billion-dollar weather and climate disasters this year – a near-record number, according to NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).
On Thursday, NOAA’s NCEI released its assessment of the global climate, including U.S. weather disasters. Hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton and one tornado outbreak were added to this year’s billion-dollar weather and climate disasters, bringing the total to 24 events as of October.
According to the NCEI, this year’s billion-dollar weather and climate disasters are second only to last year, which had 27 by this point in the year.
Needless to say, a lot of people out there just want to hear that everything is going to be rainbows and lollipops from now on.
But that isn’t the truth.
The truth is that the times that we are living in are going to be extremely challenging. In my new book entitled “Why”, I explain that God has told us history in advance and that this is extremely powerful evidence for the Christian faith. If you can show someone that God told us very specific things about the times that we are living in centuries in advance, it is going to be very difficult for that individual to ignore the gospel.
So many “experts” are giving us their opinions about what our future will look like.
But if you want to know what our future is going to look like, just read the Book of Revelation.
We are the Book of Revelation generation, and there is no other time in all of human history that I would have rather lived than right now.

When Righteousness Removes
Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2024/12/02/when-righteousness-removes/
Observing these times so near the end of this quickly fleeting age conjures thoughts about Lot’s days in Sodom. This, of course, has been an ongoing train of thought for me, as those reading my articles can attest.
Those ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the remains of which archeologists are just now digging up from the south end of the Dead Sea region, had at their black hearts a term that believers in Jesus Christ don’t often give much thought to: unrighteousness.
Unrighteousness isn’t merely the lack of righteousness. It is the diametrical opposite, contrary in every respect to righteousness as defined by God. It is a determined, conscious—and even militant, in some cases—effort to move in a direction other than toward God and His holy prescription for living.
They need no deity to govern their comportment, the lost sinners declare.
But here is what God in Heaven, through Paul the apostle, has to say in regard to the soul:
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. (Romans 4:2–8)
So righteousness in God’s holy perception isn’t based on doing good rather than evil works, but rather on genuine belief in His way of salvation. Jesus described that way:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14: 6)
Getting back to Abraham’s nephew who lived in Sodom, I remain convicted that we’re living in the time Jesus described as being like “the days of Lot” (Luke 17:28-30). Moreover, I believe Jesus might have had our very nation in mind when He told of a coming day that would be like Lot’s day–that time in the future when God’s righteous people will be removed from a place of wickedness and evil, as Lot and his family were removed from judgment-appointed Sodom.
The United States of America is the most materially blessed, technologically advanced nation in history. In that level of attainment and achievement, America likely matches Sodom as that city existed in ancient times.
The people who will be evacuated in that future removal will be God’s people because of their being like Lot himself. Here the Apostle Peter delivers God’s message, reporting the facts about why Lot was removed from the doomed region.
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. (2 Peter 2: 6-10)
Lot was righteous in God’s holy view. He and his family were removed from among the unrighteous people Lot had dwelt with in Sodom. Jesus said it will be just like this for His people in a future time. His people are righteous because they/we have believed in the Holy Name of the Only Begotten Son of God.
Certainly God’s people live today within a Sodom-like society and culture among a generation that has turned their backs on God’s prescription for life on earth. The reprobate minds of Romans 1:28 have long ago been reached, according to the wokeness and debauchery we’ve been witnessing.
My thoughts lately, in consideration of the Rapture and America and the world’s likeness to the days of Lot, turns to percentages. The question: Percentage-wise, have America and the world reached relatively the same configuration as Lot and those few taken out of Sodom, as compared to the number of those left behind to be judged and destroyed during those business-as-usual, but wicked days of evil? In other words, has this nation and the entire world reached the time when God will take the righteous from among the unrighteous so He can begin bringing His prophetic blueprint–the establishment of Jesus Christ upon His millennial throne—to fulfillment?
When will the only righteousness to be found on earth be removed? Seems to me that we might not be far from knowing the answer.
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
The Jeremiah of Our Time
by Jan Markell - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2024/12/02/the-jeremiah-of-our-time/
I’m not waiting for the Antichrist. I’m waiting for Jesus Christ. And that is due, in part, to the ministry of Hal Lindsey. His books and television program carefully outlined Dispensational Theology, also called left behind theology—named after the famous book series.
As a young adult, I found life confusing until someone handed me a copy of The Late Great Planet Earth. After reading it in a day, followed by a trip to Israel, I could press on in life and enter the ministry. I would go on to devour dozens of books and follow solid Bible teachers who promoted eschatology or Bible prophecy.
Time Magazine called Hal Lindsey the Jeremiah of our time. His classic book sold 35 million copies, but other books and TV productions influenced millions more. I believe his two greatest contributions were his teaching that:
Israel is the key to our past, present, and future. Most churches today marginalize this, focusing on church growth or are steeped in other theologies such as Amillennialism. Only Dispensationalism explains what the Bible teaches: The King is coming again, and Israel is the key to understanding this.
As believers, we should be awaiting Jesus Christ, not the Antichrist. Millions are caught up in strange rapture-timing theologies that offer no blessed hope, which is taught in the Bible (Titus 2:13)! Jesus is coming at any minute. Only Dispensationalism explains the imminency of the Lord’s return with Israel as the centerpiece!
I brought Hal to the Twin Cities in 2004 and 2005. He told me at that time that it was his goal in the 1960s to write a book on the end times that was easy to understand. When his book appeared in 1970, the only books available were written by theologians and for theologians!
They were terrific, but the man on the street was lost.
Dwight Pentecost’s Things to Come was a classic back then, but it was 500 pages and way too scholarly. Without a seminary degree, readers were lost and frustrated.
Once Hal opened the door for end-time discussion, two- dozen writers followed him, including Chuck Missler, Tim LaHaye, Dave Hunt, Ron Rhodes, and many more. Publishers were eager to help readers understand how the last days played out. And how many of you were impacted by the Left Behind book series I referenced written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins?
These topics have been discussed now for 23 years on Understanding the Times Radio. I am so thankful for the scholars who went before me, helping us non-scholars to understand these key theological issues and make sense of what is often senseless! The rise of lawlessness, the rush to globalism, the decline of character as outlined in II Timothy, and so much more as the birth pangs have exploded in recent years.
There is a run-up to the Tribulation and we are in it, but who knew before we learned from such incredible men? There is prophetic stage-setting, which is so prominent here at the end of the Church Age!
Pastors, please, with whatever time we have left before a trumpet sounds, teach your congregation these truths. The urgency of the hour demands it.
Find this outstanding summary of the life and effectiveness of Hal Lindsey here. Read testimonies from Ron Rhodes, Tom Hughes, David Jeremiah, Jonathan Brentner, and more.
Hal Lindsey was a flawed human being like all of us, and I could slip in details, particularly of the eccentric man I featured twenty years ago here in the Twin Cities. I’d rather not. I just want to say thank you to him for opening my eyes.
I had no idea I was here on assignment to also help others in this last days’ countdown to the rapture of believers! And to help get many into the ark of salvation because when all is said and done, Jesus really is coming!
Perhaps today. Thank you, Hal, for encouraging me to prepare so many for this journey!
Daily Jot: Only the beginning of lawfare
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
With unconstitutionally-appointed special prosecutor Jack Smith dropping his unjust lawfare suits against President Donald Trump, many people are celebrating the end of lawfare. In reality, it may be just the beginning unless there are consequences. The precedent has been established that powerful political actors in government and the court system can systematically ruin a dissenting citizen using nongermane laws. If Smith, Department of Justice officials, Democratic Party appointed judges and the politicians that ran interference for them get away with this legal persecution of Trump, the rule of law has no more integrity than a communist kangaroo court. These people must be held accountable.
Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, the FBI, and the Democratic Party conspired to use the secret FISA Court to spy on Trump’s 2016 campaign and they made up a story about Russian collusion on the 2016 election interference. This unjust and illegal action prompted a two-year, $32 million taxpayer investigation that resulted in nothing against Trump. Then the same actors impeached Trump on baseless charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over Trump colluding with Ukraine to influence the 2020 election. Trump was acquitted. Then these same people impeached Trump again for incitement of insurrection. Trump was acquitted. These actors were just trying to prevent Trump from running again for President.
This persecution didn’t stop there. Democrat-appointed lawyers and judges, using obscure nongermane laws, went after citizen Trump for four more years. New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg and a Kangaroo Jury convicted Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records over $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. This resulted in an outrageous $435 million penalty and a three-year ban of doing business in New York. Meanwhile in Georgia, Democrat Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis used obscure racketeering charges to prosecute Trump and others for conspiring to change the election 2020 election results. Also there was the classified documents case where the FBI made a raid on Trump’s residence to prove he had stolen classified documents. Trump repeatedly claimed that none of these cases would come to fruition because they were false, contrived and unjust. So far, he is 100% correct.
Every legal avenue possible was contrived by the Democratic Party politicians, government operatives (DOJ, FBI, FISA Court, CIA, etc.) and Democrat judges to prevent Trump from running for and winning a second term. Each case has been postponed indefinitely or dropped one by one. If these efforts were not illegal, the sun will not rise in the morning. These people conspired to overthrow the government, to interfere with the election, and to ruin a citizen—and they used taxpayer money to do it. There must be accountability or they will do it to whomever they please, including you and me. Trump is an amazing person to just endure all this for the last decade. Romans 2:12 says, ”all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.” Of course, this is speaking of God’s law. May it be so both of God’s law and of man’s law that justice prevail.
Daily Devotion: One God
by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org
He existed in the beginning with God.
—John 1:2
https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/one-god/ - Listen
Who has affected history more than Jesus Christ? More books have been written and more music has been composed about Jesus than about anyone who has ever lived.
His birth and His death divide human history. The great thing for us as Christians is that we have Christ living inside us. And from the day that we give our lives to Him, our goal should be to get to know Jesus better and become more like Him.
The apostle Paul wrote, “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!” (Philippians 3:10–11 NLT).
Paul was saying, “This is my heartbeat. This is my passion. I want to know Jesus.” That should be the passion of every follower of Christ.
In Jesus, God spelled Himself out in a language that we can understand. God became a Man. Referring to Jesus, the Bible says, “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him” (John 1:1–3 NLT).
We could translate the phrase “the Word was with God” as “He was continually toward God.” In other words, God the Father and God the Son were continually face to face. In John 17 Jesus prayed, “Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began” (verse 5 NLT). It’s hard for us to grasp how close the Father and the Son were.
John 1 also tells us that Jesus is the Creator. He was involved in the creative process of all that we see.
Sometimes people mistakenly think there is a God of the Old Testament and a God of the New Testament. They perceive the God of the Old Testament as wrathful and perpetually in a bad mood. Meanwhile, they view the God of the New Testament as loving and full of grace and ready to forgive.
Both of those views are incorrect. There is one God from Genesis to Revelation. He is just, He is righteous, He is holy, He is loving, He is merciful, and He is forgiving.
Jesus was God with skin on. He walked in our shoes, breathed our air, lived our lives, and died our death. God came near.
The real message of Christmas is that God came to Earth. It is Immanuel, God is with us. We are not alone. When we get a hold of that, all the other things don’t matter as much. We can still celebrate and enjoy Christmas, of course. We can put up Christmas lights and enjoy giving presents.
But if we focus on the real meaning of Christmas, it becomes so much more significant. That’s because no one is closer to God than those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ.

WORTHY OF YOUR SUPPORT?
One of the most reliable ways to determine if a ministry is worthy of your financial support is to examine its fruits. If Prophecy Update is keeping you informed, and if that information inspires you, and causes you to draw closer to the Lord, if Prophecy Update equips you with valuable information and knowledge to share with and encourage other believers, and open the eyes of non-believers, and if Prophecy Update keeps you connected to current events relating to Bible Prophecy, then you are partaking of the fruit produced through this ministry. None of this would be possible without the Lords blessings and your support. I believe where the Lord guides, the Lord provides, and most of the time He provides through the willing and generous hearts of believers just like you and me.

"Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!"
"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey

Our Prayer for You- "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:10-13
