The Rapidly Shifting Syrian Civil War and the ‘Burden of Damascus’

This last week, Syria blew up. It has always been a powder keg with so many antagonistic groups living in the nation. So, while it wasn’t a surprise, it was important. I’m sure many are confused about who is who in Syria, and, even more so, how it all relates to Bible prophecy. I’ll explore a few of the details of the fighting below, but let me take a moment to back out to the big picture here.

Damascus is a city that the Bible predicts will be decimated (Isaiah 17:1). Widening out from the city itself, we can also see that Syria, which has been a bitter enemy of Israel since 1948, isn’t mentioned among the nations in the future war of Gog from the land of Magog described in Ezekiel 38. Ultimately, what we learn relating to the nation to Israel’s north is that Damascus must fall. This will contribute to Israel being strong, safe, and prosperous. It is then that the enemy will attack from the north.

For Israel to finally be safe and to prosper, we not only need a victory in our present wars against Hamas and Hezbollah, but we need a friendly US administration to expand the peace circle and stand strong against the axis of evil. This certainly seems to be the direction we are heading.

The Rapidly Shifting Syrian Civil War

Opposition forces (those against President Assad’s government) have launched a swift and unexpected offensive. Significant territories have been already captured, including the very important city of Aleppo. As their influence spreads, the strategic city of Hama is next on their list. In fact, some sources report that just this morning rebel forces have entered the city even as Assad’s leaders escape by helicopter..

Assad’s forces haven’t just been sitting by idly. They, with the help of Russia and Iran, have hit back hard, causing many casualties among the rebels. But it’s not just the government forces who are fighting the rebels. They are fighting each other. Rebel militias are fighting against Al Qaeda soldiers, while Al Qaeda soldiers are fighting with Kurdish rebels. It’s a mishmash of people who hate each other and who can’t seem to put their differences aside and unite in order to attack a common enemy. In Israel, we have our eyes on the Kurds, who at times have been our allies in the past. Ultimately, we aren’t rooting for any of the sides, because everyone except the Kurds wants to kill us. The last thing we want is to see Al Qaeda troops massing on our northern border.

Iran Mad at Turkey over Syria

Remember in the past when I’ve said that all of the Middle East is interconnected? The Islamic Regime in Iran is now angry at Turkey for the civil war in Syria. Tehran says that the rebel onslaught could not have happened without Turkish help. They aren’t the only ones with this opinion. The Kremlin lays the blame at Ankara’s feet, saying they also got help from Washington and London. Are they correct? Maybe. It wouldn’t be surprising. Meanwhile, Iran is putting teeth to their blame saying that if the Kurds turn around and attack Turkey, then President Erdoğan better not come running to Tehran for help.

Israel Forces Iranian Transport to Turn Back

While much attention in Syria has been focused on the ground, the skies above held some interesting action. An Iranian cargo plane lifted off Saturday night toward Syria. According to the manifest, it was loaded with humanitarian aid. This would have been true if it was headed to a region where the people primarily ate lead and gun powder. But, as that seemed unlikely, the Israel Defense Forces got involved. Fighter jets intercepted the cargo plane as it traversed Syria and informed them in no uncertain terms that there were two directions they could go. One was back and the other was straight down. Wisely, the Iranian pilots chose back. This is a huge demonstration of the power that Israel is gaining in the region.

Fighting Under the Ceasefire

Just because the ceasefire against Hezbollah has gone into effect, that doesn’t mean that the fighting has stopped. When Israel signed on to the agreement, they also reserved the right to destroy anything they found that could be used by the terrorist organization against them. That has led the IDF to continue to hit danger zones, including munitions storage and launch areas. Just yesterday, a drone was used to take out a Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon’s Majdal Zoun. Meanwhile, Lebanese forces are just now finally deploying into areas from which the IDF withdrew, with the purpose of keeping Hezbollah out.

Israel’s Magic Vaporizing Machine

For some time, Hamas has had difficulty explaining the disparity between their highly inflated casualty rates and the actual number of bodies they are able to produce. However, after careful investigation, the Palestinian Investigation Squad or some such body discovered the truth. It was the Israelis using their amazing body disappearing weapon that was causing all the dead to vaporize into thin air. It makes so much sense! I’ve long told you that Israel is on the cutting edge. Here’s proof! Even our imaginary technology is mind-blowing!

A Tale of Two Presidents

The 45th and soon-to-be 47th president of the United States wrote in a post on Truth Social that if the hostages are not released prior to his swearing in, there will be “ALL HELL TO PAY” in the Middle East. In response, Hamas has threatened to kill all the hostages. That would be a horrific mistake on their part. Meanwhile, the 46th president took time out from his very busy schedule to pardon his son, Hunter, who was facing sentencing for gun crimes and tax evasion. Also waiting on the Hunter Biden dance card were federal prosecutors anxious for a little jig to the Ukrainian folk tune “Burisma”. Joe Biden promised months ago that he would not bail his son out with a pardon. The Right didn’t believe him, the Left pretended to believe him, but deep down everyone knew that this day would come.

South Korea’s Brief Implosion

Late night Tuesday, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol went on television and declared martial law, shocking the nation. Mayhem ensued. Military personnel entered the National Assembly building and were met by politicians and staffers armed with fire extinguishers. Scuffles ensued, windows were broken, but the military never made it into the main assembly hall. A little more than three hours after martial law was declared, 190 of the 300 members of the National Assembly voted unanimously to void the declaration. There has been constant fallout ever since. The heads of the departments of Yoon’s cabinet, as well as the senior secretaries, all resigned. The Assembly called for Yoon to resign, too, and when he refused to do so, articles of impeachment were filed against him. A vote on his removal could come as soon as tomorrow. South Korean politics have also been sketchy waters to swim in. It will be interesting to watch how this plays out.

France Dissolves Its Government

Not wanting to be outdone in the political craziness department, the French National Assembly passed a no-confidence motion against the government of Prime Minister Michel Barnier. This is the first no-confidence vote to pass in France since 1962, and Barnier will go down as the shortest serving prime minister in the Modern Republic. President Emmanuel Macron, for his part, stepped over Barnier’s lifeless political body, declared that he would remain until the end of his 2027 term, and promised to name a replacement.

United Nations being the United Nations

With the Syrian Civil War rekindled, the war between Russia and Ukraine threatening to go nuclear, and South Korea doing whatever it was that South Korea just did, the United Nations decided they would tackle the most pressing issue of the day. In a vote of 97 pro, 8 con, and 64 abstentions, the UN adopted a resolution calling for Israel to withdraw to pre-1967 lines. Good job focusing on what’s most important in the world. Just the United Nations being the United Nations.

One Thousand Days of Wars and Rumors of Wars

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:6-8). For those who understand Bible prophecy, those words spoken by Jesus from the Gospel are familiar. The birth pains Jesus speaks of lead up to the Tribulation, and they find their ultimate fulfillment in the Tribulation period.

Sweden Prepares for War

As we reach the 1,000th day of war in Ukraine, things are starting to get concerning for other nations. As the government of Sweden just presented its seventh military package of weapons and supplies to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the Homefront, Sweden started to distribute copies of a 32-page booklet advising its citizens how to prepare for war. The booklet said, “We live in uncertain times. Armed conflicts are currently being waged in our corner of the world. Terrorism, cyber-attacks, and disinformation campaigns are being used to undermine and influence us.”

Officials in Sweden have warned if they are attacked, everyone must do their part to defend Sweden’s independence. Citizens are being told, “You are part of Sweden’s overall emergency preparedness.” Sweden has not gone to war in more than two centuries, but now Swedes have to mentally prepare for war. This 32-page booklet says: “Military threat levels are increasing. We must be prepared for the worst-case scenario, which is an armed attack on Sweden.”

Norway Prepares for War

Sweden is not the only European nation getting ready for war. A Norwegian newspaper recently reported that Norway’s citizens have also received pamphlets warning them of possible war because, in the worst case, acts of war could also affect Norway.

Finland Prepares for War

Finland’s government has released a digital booklet to prepare citizens for its worst possible threat: war. Finland reminded its citizens of their “national defense obligation” and recently launched a new information website. Finland is hosting up to 3,600 soldiers from 28 nations for an exercise called Dynamic Front. All this preparation and these pamphlets encourage citizens to be prepared physically. What is missing in this effort is telling people to be spiritually prepared.

Finland shares a 1,340-kilometre (830-mile) border with Russia, but after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, Finland announced plans to build a 200-kilometre (124-mile) border fence with Russia. This fence is designed to be three meters (10 feet) tall and topped with barbed wire, it is scheduled to be completed by 2026. In response to an influx of migrants, Finland has closed its eight border crossings with Russia. Leaders are saying this influx of immigrants was designed to be a hybrid attack orchestrated by Moscow.

Putin Considering Using Nuclear Weapons

The Daily Mail, a British news source, is reporting that European nations are gearing up for an all-out war as Ukraine launched US-made missiles into Russia, which led to, for the first time, Vladimir Putin officially considering using nuclear weapons. Moscow responded to Ukraine’s strike on an ammunition depot in Russia’s Bryansk region with those US-supplied ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) by calling this a “new phase of the Western war.”

According to a 1,000-page document entitled “Operationsplan Deutschland,” Germany would reportedly host hundreds of thousands of troops from NATO countries and serve as a logistics hub for sending vast quantities of military equipment, food, and medicine toward the frontline. The German army has already started advising businesses to create crisis plans detailing employee responsibilities and instructed businesses to stockpile diesel generators or install wind turbines to ensure energy independence.

US-Made Missiles

The Daily Mail cited sources saying on the same day that US-made missiles were fired into Russian soil, Putin signed off on an updated version of the Kremlin’s nuclear doctrine that broadens the scope for Moscow to turn to its nuclear stockpile. According to the updated document, the new version allows Putin’s forces to deploy these weapons if Russia or Belarus is threatened by a non-nuclear nation supported by a nuclear power. What does Russia consider a threat? Threats that could warrant a nuclear response from Russia’s leadership include an attack with conventional missiles, drones, or other aircraft. Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said Ukrainian missile strikes deep inside Russia “would not go unpunished.”

Is Russia’s bark worse than its bite? Is war breaking out within the borders of other nations a real possibility? If so, how does this tie into the end-time battle Scripture has said will one day be coming? Russia feels the world is beginning to stand against it.

Archer 155-mm Self-Propelled Gun

For example, Sweden recently announced it is considering providing Ukraine with the latest 155-mm Archer self-propelled guns. What does that mean? The Archer 155-mm self-propelled gun is advanced technology. It can deploy from a retreating position to a combat position in just 1 minute and 15 seconds. It can fire 3 rounds and leave the position before the first shell hits the target. British troops have labeled these weapons a battlefield game changer.

No one knows if these modern-day weapons will be used in combat before or after the Tribulation. We know the four horses of Revelation, which are the first four seals, will result in war, famine, and massive death. Is the world stage being set for the pages of Revelation to become reality? Again, time will tell.

However, what we are seeing in Ukraine, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and now, once again, the rising tensions in Syria, should at the least cause people to consider carefully what Scripture has prophesied about the coming days of Jacob’s Trouble. Eventually, the Antichrist will war against the Jews and against Christians. Daniel 11 and Revelation 12 describe that future day in great detail. It’s one thing to read the pages of Scripture and know that these events will occur someday. It’s another thing to possibly be watching them begin to unfold right in front of us.

Urgency and a Message of Hope

The purpose of sharing what is happening worldwide and the possibility of war breaking out on multiple fronts is NOT to produce fear. Scripture is clear: we are not to operate in fear.

What good then does it do to have this information? I hope this sets in motion a sense of urgency to share the message of hope and the need to get serious about one’s study of God’s Word and one’s relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We should all look forward to the day when we stand before Him and the beginning of our eternal journey.

The Surveillance State Is Making a List, and You're on It

You'd better watch out--you'd better not pout--you'd better not cry--'cos I'm telling you why: this Christmas, it's the Surveillance State that's making a list and checking it twice, and it won't matter whether you've been bad or good.

You'll be on this list whether you like it or not.

Mass surveillance is the Deep State's version of a "gift" that keeps on giving...back to the Deep State.

Geofencing dragnets. Fusion centers. Smart devices. Behavioral threat assessments. Terror watch lists. Facial recognition. Snitch tip lines. Biometric scanners. Pre-crime. DNA databases. Data mining. Precognitive technology. Drones. Contact tracing apps. License plate readers. Social media vetting. Surveillance towers.

What these add up to is a world in which, on any given day, the average person is now monitored, surveilled, spied on and tracked in more than 20 different ways by both government and corporate eyes and ears.

Big Tech wedded to Big Government has become Big Brother.

This creepy new era of government/corporate spying--in which we're being listened to, watched, tracked, followed, mapped, bought, sold and targeted--has been made possible by a global army of techno-tyrants, fusion centers and Peeping Toms.

Consider just a small sampling of the tools being used to track our movements, monitor our spending, and sniff out all the ways in which our thoughts, actions and social circles might land us on the government's naughty list, whether or not you've done anything wrong.

Tracking you based on your phone and movements: Cell phones have become de facto snitches, offering up a steady stream of digital location data on users' movements and travels. For instance, the FBI was able to use geofence data to identify more than 5,000 mobile devices (and their owners) in a 4-acre area around the Capitol on January 6. This latest surveillance tactic could land you in jail for being in the "wrong place and time." Police are also using cell-site simulators to carry out mass surveillance of protests without the need for a warrant.

Moreover, federal agents can now employ a number of hacking methods in order to gain access to your computer activities and "see" whatever you're seeing on your monitor. Malicious hacking software can also be used to remotely activate cameras and microphones, offering another means of glimpsing into the personal business of a target.

Tracking you based on your DNA. DNA technology in the hands of government officials completes our transition to a Surveillance State. If you have the misfortune to leave your DNA traces anywhere a crime has been committed, you've already got a file somewhere in some state or federal database--albeit it may be a file without a name. By accessing your DNA, the government will soon know everything else about you that they don't already know: your family chart, your ancestry, what you look like, your health history, your inclination to follow orders or chart your own course, etc.

After all, a DNA print reveals everything about "who we are, where we come from, and who we will be." It can also be used to predict the physical appearance of potential suspects. It's only a matter of time before the police state's pursuit of criminals expands into genetic profiling and a preemptive hunt for criminals of the future.

Tracking you based on your face: Facial recognition software aims to create a society in which every individual who steps out into public is tracked and recorded as they go about their daily business. Coupled with surveillance cameras that blanket the country, facial recognition technology allows the government and its corporate partners to identify and track someone's movements in real-time. One particularly controversial software program created by Clearview AI has been used by police, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to collect photos on social media sites for inclusion in a massive facial recognition database.

Similarly, biometric software, which relies on one's unique identifiers (fingerprints, irises, voice prints), is becoming the standard for navigating security lines, as well as bypassing digital locks and gaining access to phones, computers, office buildings, etc. In fact, greater numbers of travelers are opting into programs that rely on their biometrics in order to avoid long waits at airport security. Scientists are also developing lasers that can identify and surveil individuals based on their heartbeats, scent and microbiome.

Tracking you based on your behavior: Rapid advances in behavioral surveillance are not only making it possible for individuals to be monitored and tracked based on their patterns of movement or behavior, including gait recognition (the way one walks), but have given rise to whole industries that revolve around predicting one's behavior based on data and surveillance patterns and are also shaping the behaviors of whole populations. One smart "anti-riot" surveillance system purports to predict mass riots and unauthorized public events by using artificial intelligence to analyze social media, news sources, surveillance video feeds and public transportation data.

Tracking you based on your spending and consumer activities: With every smartphone we buy, every GPS device we install, every X/Twitter, Facebook, and Google account we open, every frequent buyer card we use for purchases--whether at the grocer's, the yogurt shop, the airlines or the department store--and every credit and debit card we use to pay for our transactions, we're helping Corporate America build a dossier for its government counterparts on who we know, what we think, how we spend our money, and how we spend our time.

Consumer surveillance, by which your activities and data in the physical and online realms are tracked and shared with advertisers, has become big business, a $300 billion industry that routinely harvests your data for profit. Corporations such as Target have not only been tracking and assessing the behavior of their customers, particularly their purchasing patterns, for years, but the retailer has also funded major surveillance in cities across the country and developed behavioral surveillance algorithms that can determine whether someone's mannerisms might fit the profile of a thief.

Tracking you based on your public activities: Private corporations in conjunction with police agencies throughout the country have created a web of surveillance that encompasses all major cities in order to monitor large groups of people seamlessly, as in the case of protests and rallies. They are also engaging in extensive online surveillance, looking for any hints of "large public events, social unrest, gang communications, and criminally predicated individuals."

Defense contractors have been at the forefront of this lucrative market. Fusion centers, $330 million-a-year, information-sharing hubs for federal, state and law enforcement agencies, monitor and report such "suspicious" behavior as people buying pallets of bottled water, photographing government buildings, and applying for a pilot's license as "suspicious activity."

Tracking you based on your social media activities: Every move you make, especially on social media, is monitored, mined for data, crunched, and tabulated in order to form a picture of who you are, what makes you tick, and how best to control you when and if it becomes necessary to bring you in line.

As The Intercept reported, the FBI, CIA, NSA and other government agencies are increasingly investing in and relying on corporate surveillance technologies that can mine constitutionally protected speech on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in order to identify potential extremists and predict who might engage in future acts of anti-government behavior. This obsession with social media as a form of surveillance will have some frightening consequences in coming years.

Tracking you based on your social network: Not content to merely spy on individuals through their online activity, government agencies are now using surveillance technology to track one's social network, the people you might connect with by phone, text message, email or through social message, in order to ferret out possible criminals.

An FBI document obtained by Rolling Stone speaks to the ease with which agents are able to access address book data from Facebook's WhatsApp and Apple's iMessage services from the accounts of targeted individuals and individuals not under investigation who might have a targeted individual within their network. What this creates is a "guilt by association" society in which we are all as guilty as the most culpable person in our address book.

Tracking you based on your car: License plate readers are mass surveillance tools that can photograph over 1,800 license tag numbers per minute, take a picture of every passing license tag number and store the tag number and the date, time, and location of the picture in a searchable database, then share the data with law enforcement, fusion centers and private companies to track the movements of persons in their cars.

With tens of thousands of these license plate readers now in operation throughout the country, affixed to overpasses, cop cars and throughout business sectors and residential neighborhoods, it allows police to track vehicles and run the plates through law enforcement databases for abducted children, stolen cars, missing people and wanted fugitives. Of course, the technology is not infallible: there have been numerous incidents in which police have mistakenly relied on license plate data to capture out suspects only to end up detaining innocent people at gunpoint.

Tracking you based on your mail: Just about every branch of the government--from the Postal Service to the Treasury Department and every agency in between--now has its own surveillance sector, authorized to spy on the American people. For instance, the U.S. Postal Service, which has been photographing the exterior of every piece of paper mail for the past 20 years, is also spying on Americans' texts, emails and social media posts.

Headed up by the Postal Service's law enforcement division, the Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) is reportedly using facial recognition technology, combined with fake online identities, to ferret out potential troublemakers with "inflammatory" posts. The agency claims the online surveillance, which falls outside its conventional job scope of processing and delivering paper mail, is necessary to help postal workers avoid "potentially volatile situations."

Now the government wants us to believe that we have nothing to fear from these mass spying programs as long as we've done nothing wrong.

Don't believe it.

The government's definition of a "bad" guy is extraordinarily broad, and it results in the warrantless surveillance of innocent, law-abiding Americans on a staggering scale.

Increased surveillance, digital stalking and the data mining of the American people--weapons of compliance and control in the government's hands--haven't made America any safer. And they certainly aren't helping to preserve our freedoms.

Taking the Bible Literally

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 2Tim. 3:16

Compass was founded on the principle that every word of the Bible was inspired by God as recorded in its original languages.

We defend all scriptures from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 using a literal hermeneutic from a pre-millennial, pre-tribulational doctrinal perspective.

For instance, we believe God spoke everything in the universe into existence from nothing, because that's what it says.

God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Gen. 1:3

God followed creating light with speaking the heavens, land, sun, moon, stars, plants, fish, and animals into existence, concluding with His uniquely designed humans on day six.

Obviously, some Scriptures are written allegorically and are not meant to be taken literally. For instance, when Scripture says Jesus is our rock, it doesn’t mean that He is actually a rock.

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, Psa. 18:2

So you have to take scripture in its proper context, and in the proper dispensation.

As another example:

“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9

However, all symbolic meanings depend on the literal meaning. For instance, we would not know Jesus was not a door unless we first know He’s a human.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, John 1:14

When interpreting Bible prophecy, the more literal you can take a scripture, the less likely you will misinterpret it…and that severely restricts any nut-case interpretations.

The Bible itself confirms we should use a literal method of interpretation. Exodus confirms the seven-day creation week was literal.

“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; Ex. 20:11

And here you see Jesus taking the design and creation of Adam and Eve literally:

And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female,..” Mat. 19:4

Jesus also takes the Biblical Flood of Noah as a literal event:

“For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away;” Matt. 24:38-39

Back in 1992, Chuck Missler applied a literal interpretation to make the prediction that if we’re close to the end of the Church Age, Jordan would make peace with Israel. He based his hypothesis on this verse:

“He will also enter the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall; but these will be rescued out of his hand: Edom, Moab and the foremost of the sons of Ammon." Dan. 11:41

Edom and Moab are in southern Jordan today. Ammon is in the north part of Jordon today.

Israel and Jordan made a peace treaty in 1994 that continues to this day.

Chuck took a literal approach to the Bible so looking back it was a no-brainer prediction based on scripture. But at the time, peace with any Arab nation looked bleak. Chuck just trusted the scriptures he was reading.

Notice also that Petra, where 1/3 of the surviving Jews will hide during the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation, is in southern Edom on the map.

It's important to point out that linguists agree that a literal interpretation is the normal approach to understanding the meaning of all languages. Hey, we wouldn’t know what is not literally true if we didn’t know what is literally true!

So the lesson is, take scripture literally whenever possible. If scripture says six times in six straight verses that Jesus will reign on this earth for 1000 years (Rev. 20:2-7), then that’s what WILL happen!

Silver, gold and…cattle?

A couple of years ago I was talking with one of the top Bible prophecy teachers on the planet about this verse:

“Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?” Ezek 38:10-13

In the passage the prophecy says that Israel will be invaded in the last days and the stated purpose of the invasion will be to capture:

1 - Silver

2 - Gold

3 - Great spoil

4 - Cattle

We agreed that the first three items on the list were likely part of the yet-to-be-rediscovered Solomon’s hidden treasure worth over $100 trillion.(5) But what was puzzling to us was why would “cattle” also be listed as part of something important to be captured?

If we take “silver and gold” to be literal, we also have to take “cattle” literally. But cattle?? Why cattle? Why would that be so important to list along with gold and silver?

First we need to know what's the definition of "cattle."

Strongs Concordance: Hebrew 929. bhemah, be-hay-maw´; from an unused root (probably meaning to be mute); properly, a dumb beast; especially any large quadruped or animal (often collective): — beast, cattle.

Strong's Concordance: Greek 2934. ktenos, ktay´-nos; from 2932; property, i.e. (specially) a domestic animal: — beast.

So cattle is not just cows, it's any four-footed beast, livestock.

So why would all these nations want livestock? We don’t know the answer, yet. But here is a possible reason:

We’re now discovering that the Globalists/Satanists have so screwed up the world food supply that it’s literally killing people.

Due mostly to poisonous food additives, over 60% of Americans have a chronic disease(1), and life expectancy is dropping like a lead balloon.

It’s gotten so bad we now have a huge movement here in the USA led by former presidential candidate and newly appointed Head of Health and Human Services, Robert F Kennedy, Jr.

For several years RFK’s been trying to stem the tide of poisonous processed foods that have been surreptitiously incorporated into the our daily food intake.

It’s downright scary to learn what we’re actually eating and will likely be a contributing factor to all those billions dying in the post-Rapture Tribulation.

However, because Israel has had to learn to be totally independent on literally everything due to her surrounding neighbors trying to annihilate her, she has had to find new ways to grow food inside of her parched borders.

Thinking outside the box, Israel’s been incredibly successful with her farming methods. For instance, Israel invented a drip irrigation system that can grow food on farms located literally in a desert at the lowest point on the earth using only a few drops of water.(2)

Today Israel grows so much food they daily export vegetables to Europe.

And due to the Biblically based Kosher guidelines, much of the livestock she raises locally have not been corrupted by the Globalists/Satanists farming demands.

Only Satan and his minions want us to eat bugs. The Old Testament instructs Jews to eat meat. God even says He loves the smell of sacrificial meat roasted on a fire.

...a soothing aroma to the LORD. Lev. 1:9

During the Tribulation, Daniel 9:27 says Israel will have re-instituted blood sacrifices. On Passover alone, each year they'll be slaughtering some 100,000 head of sheep.(3)

The New Testament drops most of those Old Testament food prohibitions (Acts 10:11), but only a few Jews today follow the New Testament grace offered through the Jewish Messiah Jesus.

So in the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation, when literally 1/2 of the world's population is dying from war, starvation and drugs(4), we know Israel will be the envy of the rest of the world as she sits fat and happy under a 7-year peace treaty that’s enforced by 10 nations.

And he (the New World Leader) will make a firm covenant with the many for one week (seven years), Dan. 9:24a

Think about what's going on at that point in time: Post-Rapture, the world is in a horrible mess with world war and world starvation while Israel is protected from war and has an abundance of food and water. Not to mention she has an over $100 trillion treasure of gold and silver.(5)

Because Israel will be swimming in her food, water and money, it’ll make the other nations hugely envious. The world will be going to Hades-in-a-hand-basket while Israel has it all.

It would be like having to pick through trash in a garbage can to keep from starving while looking in the window of a party with people dancing and eating caviar. Maybe that’s another reason Israel is called a “burdensome stone” to the world in the latter days.

"...therefore as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your envy which you showed because of your hatred against them" (Israel); Ezek. 35:11

So all this anger and envy prompts the Ezekiel 38/39 multi-nation invasion of Israel led by Russia, Iran and Turkey. They will be coming for the “great spoil”—over a hundred trillion dollars of gold and silver…and also for her livestock ...because meat will be worth as much as silver and gold.

Daily Jot: The Two Hour Rule

Many Americans enjoy the rugged individualism, beautiful settings and just the plain joy of camping and travel with recreational vehicles. I’ve heard it told that for boat owners, for example, the happiest days of their lives is the day they buy their boat, and again when they sell it. RVing is not that way.

Most people I know want more and they are sad when it comes time to give it up. It’s like no other feeling, unique in the things seen, experienced and the interesting people met. For Chris, Service Dog Charlie and I, RVing is an adventurous escape from the day to day barrage of life, the 24 hour news cycle and the chaos of our surrounding world. All fine and dandy, except for the onerous “two-hour” rule.

We started out with a short trip to the Bentonville, Va entrance of the Shenandoah River State Park. It was a beautiful fall morning, and we hiked the three-mile trail through the forest, up and down the scenic hills and along the Shenandoah River.

It was great catching the warm rays of the sun, the majestic beauty of the Park, and hearing the rushing water of the river after severe storms the days before. The path on the high ground was dry, but closer to the river we could see where flooding had occurred.

By the time we got back to the RV, we had worked up an appetite. We decided to drive into Front Royal and grab a bite to eat at the Main Street Mill restaurant.

As we pulled up to the Mill there was a parallel parking spot right alongside the restaurant. Well, a great thing for me, I thought. I had parallel parked this 25 ft RV in many places, including busy Salem, Ma. I loved the challenge. Pulled up and backed that RV right into its space, less than six inches from the curb. No problem. We locked up and went in for lunch.

After a great hike and pleasant lunch, we decided to drive out and check in at Low Water Bridge Campground about ten miles away. Loaded up, I looked in the mirror, switched on the turn signal and began to pull out. And herein is the two-hour rule that one of my Irish philosopher friends swore by: You can be happy for only two hours before something bad will happen. This, along with other axioms like: No good deed goes unpunished. He was generally a realistic optimist. Ha!

We heard this awful grinding sound and vibration against the back right side of the RV. Chris and I looked at each other like “What the heck was that?” Service Dog Charlie jumped into Chris’ lap for protection. I stopped the RV. A man in a pick up truck pulled alongside and said that we had scraped a light pole. What? Indeed, the city had installed a concrete light pole really close to the curb. I hadn’t seen it. And the angle that I pulled out was too sharp.

No damage to the pole. But after two insurance adjusters and a 320-mile drive to General RV in Canton, Ohio, it was determined the damage to the RV was a little over $6,500 on a $750 deductible policy. Two-hour rule. Just saying.

Zechariah and Elizabeth had a problem. She hadn’t been able to conceive a child. In their culture, if a woman couldn’t conceive a child, then she would be described as barren and unfruitful. And sometimes people even said that it was a curse from God.

There may have been people who said, “I don’t know about Zechariah and Elizabeth. After all, she is barren, isn’t she? If she really was walking with the Lord, perhaps she would have had a child at this point.”

Of course, we know this was an incorrect view. But it was a perception of the day. The truth was that Zechariah and Elizabeth were godly people. Luke 1:6 tells us, “Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations” (NLT). This doesn’t mean they never sinned; it meant they had a good reputation.

And unbeknownst to them, God was about to give them a child—and not just any child. He was going to give them a prophet—and not just any prophet. They would be the parents of the greatest prophet to ever live: John the Baptist.

Sometimes a person may be suffering outwardly, but inwardly they are blessed. And as time passes, it becomes apparent that God was preparing that individual. For instance, maybe you are suffering today. It just may be that God is preparing you for something wonderful He will do in your life.

God heard the prayers of Zechariah and Elizabeth. The angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah as he served in the temple and said, “Don’t be afraid, Zechariah! God has heard your prayer. Your wife, Elizabeth, will give you a son, and you are to name him John” (Luke 1:13 NLT).

God was about to deliver on the promise of a Messiah and His forerunner.

From the original language, it appears that God heard the prayer Zechariah was praying at that moment. Maybe the aged priest walked in and said, “Lord, I know I’m here to do a job. I know I’m here to pray for the people. And I’m going to do that. But if you wouldn’t mind a personal petition, Lord, please give us a son. I know we’re old. But would You answer this prayer and give us a son?”

We don’t know what Zechariah prayed. But we do know that his prayer was heard in Heaven. In the same way, our prayers on Earth are heard in Heaven. God promises that if we call out to Him, He will hear and answer. Psalm 34:15 tells us, “The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help” (NLT). He is listening.

Speaking to the prophet Jeremiah, God said, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come” (Jeremiah 33:3 NLT). God hears you. God loves you. And God pays attention to you. But know this: He will answer you in His way and in His time.
