Good News, Bad News
By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/03/22/good-news-bad-news-by-daymond-duck/
An astute reader recently sent me his opinion about the global attitude toward Israel and the resulting global havoc on earth, and I decided to pass it on.
The reader said: As I see it…
The world, in majority, is taking a stand against Israel and the Jews, and it is increasing, not because of anything the Jews do or don’t do, have done or not done, but because of what Israel and the Jews represent, which is a special covenant with Almighty YHVH GOD.
Why? Because what is soon coming about (I believe) is very bad news for those who reject and proudly rebel against Almighty YHVH GOD…the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
If we are in the End Times timeline I think we are in, the cast is being set, and Islam is taking its last stand that will increasingly wreak havoc on the world, including eventually right here in the United States…
BOTTOM LINE: What is coming quickly is really bad news for most of the world…what is coming quickly…is very GOOD NEWS (Gospel) for us secured in Jesus, The Christ.
(More: Compass eNews puts it like this: Millions missing, billions die.).
(Note: In last week’s article, I reported that a Trump-appointed representative told the UN General Assembly the Sustainable Development Goals [climate change, wealth redistribution, ending poverty, gender equality, etc.] “advance a program of soft global governance that is inconsistent with U.S. sovereignty and adverse to the rights and interests of Americans.” I think that is the first time I have heard the term “soft global governance,” but it may fit Bible prophecy. Events may go from “soft global governance” – Ten Kings – to “hard global governance” – the devastating government of the Antichrist. World leaders may try to deceive nations with “soft global governance” before it is transformed into “hard global governance.”)
Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that this End-Times good news and global havoc are near:
One, concerning the global attitude toward Israel: on Mar. 8, 2025, Greg Denham (Senior Pastor of Rise Church in San Marcos, Cal.) asked,
What will it take for the world to confront the evil realities being carried out in the name of “Palestinian liberation?”
I still have a vivid picture of the stunningly beautiful Bibas children with their red hair – full of life and laughter.
Violently kidnapped from their home in Israel, they have now returned from Gaza in coffins, as forensic evidence revealed that they had been brutally murdered.
The blame must be laid at the feet of these demoniacs from Gaza, who are a scourge to all mankind.
But it does not stop there.
Because it also extends to the nations which chose to turn a blind eye to fact-based truth, moral clarity, and the courage to stand up to the Islamic Nazis of our time by doing the right thing.
Silence in the face of evil is also evil.
The failure to expose it and the urgency to fight against it allows innocent lives to be snuffed out by Satanic darkness and the death cult of our time.
(My Opinion: Pastor Denham’s question and answer clearly reveals the global hatred for Israel and Israel’s God, the willful self-blinding of world leaders, and the satanic wickedness of Islam. Because Israel’s God is God, and He has revealed the future, we can know that the Rapture and the Tribulation Period are near.)
Two, concerning the global attitude toward Israel and the satanic wickedness of Islam: on Mar. 10, 2025, in a letter to the U.S. Senate, several members of Israeli religious groups and members of the Israeli Knesset called upon the senators to promote a declaration in Congress to recognize the eternal and inalienable right of the Jewish people to the Temple Mount.
They told the senators the Temple Mount is the place where Israel’s Temples stood, which were destroyed by the Babylonians about 2,500 years ago and again by the Romans about 1,900 years ago.
They added:
Today, while the sovereign State of Israel guarantees access to holy sites for all religions, the Jewish people are denied full and free access to their holiest site due to heavy international pressure.
This decision is not just a symbolic gesture but a declaration of truth, a declaration of religious freedom, and the restoration of historical justice.
(My Opinion: King David bought the property where Solomon built the first Temple. Zerubbabel rebuilt the second Temple, and the Romans destroyed it. But Satan has blinded world leaders, and they refuse to accept the Bible as the Word of God. The good news is that God gave that land to the Jews forever, and the bad news is that a showdown is coming.)
Three, concerning the global attitude toward Israel and the satanic wickedness of Islam: on Mar. 16, 2025, it was reported that:
The Islamic government of Qatari has been giving money to Brown University.
Brown University has developed a curriculum that is being used by more than 8,000 schools to teach more than one million K-12 students.
Anti-Israel bias has been incorporated into the curriculum.
Four, concerning Hamas’ effort to destroy Israel: on Mar. 13, 2025, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution that demands the toppling of the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip and calls upon Pres. Trump to aggressively target Iran’s funding of the Hamas terrorist organization.
Lindsey Graham said, “With one voice, the Senate said Hamas cannot be in charge of Gaza militarily or politically ever again.”
Richard Blumenthal said Hamas is an anathema to the Palestinians as well as to Israel.
Tom Cotton called Hamas a murderous terrorist group with American and Israeli blood on their hands.
(My opinion: I don’t know where things will go from here, but God gave the land from the river to the sea to Israel.)
(More: Joel Rosenberg believes the Bible may teach that Gaza will be emptied and then returned to Israel; Zeph. 2:4-7).
(Update: On Mar. 17, 2025, the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas ended. Israel attacked several targets in Gaza. Israel’s Prime Min. Netanyahu said Israel will continue to attack Hamas with increasing military strength. Israel’s Defense Min. Katz said If Hamas does not free all of the hostages, the gates of hell will open on Gaza and the murderous Hamas rapists will encounter the IDF in a force they have not yet known.)
(Update: On Mar. 18, 2025, Israel assassinated four of the six most senior Hamas officials in Gaza. They may have assassinated all six but have not yet confirmed the death of two.)
(Update: On Mar. 18, 2025, Israeli jets opened the Gates of Hell on Hamas by striking 80 targets in ten minutes. Local health officials said more than 400 people were killed.)
Five, concerning Damascus ceasing to exist in one night at the end of the age: on Mar. 11-12, 2025, Israeli jets struck several terrorist targets in Damascus.
On Mar. 13, 2025, Israel’s Defense Min. warned the new government of Syria:
Wherever terrorist activity is organized against Israel, Syria will find Israeli plans circling overhead and attacking the terrorist targets.
We will not allow Syria to become a threat to the State of Israel.
Six, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Mar. 14, 2025, it was reported that Poland wants the U.S. to locate nuclear weapons on Polish soil as a deterrence against Russian aggression.
Seven, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Mar. 15, 2025, Pres. Trump ordered a series of airstrikes on Yemen and promised to use lethal force until the Houthis stop attacking ships in the waterways of the world.
Trump said,
To all Houthi terrorists, your time is up, and your attacks must stop, starting today. If they don’t, hell will rain down upon you like nothing you have ever seen before!
To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end immediately! Do not threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable, and we won’t be nice about it!
(More: On Mar. 16, 2025, it was reported that US strikes against Houthi terrorists in Yemen killed fifty people, including the Houthis’ security chief, and wounded hundreds. The Houthis said they will retaliate. On Truth Social, Trump said, “Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of Iran, and Iran will be held responsible and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!”)
(More: On Mar. 16, 2025, U.S. Sec. of Defense, Pete Hegseth, said, “The attacks will continue until the Houthis say, ‘We’re done shooting at ships.’”)
Eight, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Mar. 13, 2025, Iraq and the U.S. joined forces to assassinate the number two global leader of ISIS.
He was in Iraq and considered to be one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world.
Nine, concerning possible corruption in government: on Mar. 16, 2025, Pres. Trump declared former Pres. Biden’s last-minute pardons (Dr. Fauci, the J6 Committee, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, etc.) are null and void because they were signed with an autopen.
According to Trump, it is possible that Biden didn’t even know about the pardons, and whoever used the autopen may have committed a crime.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
Sudden Destruction/Dynamic Destiny
Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2025/03/23/sudden-destruction-dynamic-destiny/
Jesus, I am convicted, spoke to this very end-times moment in which we now live in telling about His end-of-this-Age-of-Grace, sudden intervention into the intolerable wickedness of humankind. By the use of the adjective “intolerable,” I mean in the eyes of our Holy God.
Jesus described the time of that future intervention, as we’ve looked at many times in this column. He said it will be like it was in the days of Noah and, more specifically, in the days of Lot, when He will next bring catastrophic judgment to the earth like that with which God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.
Following Lot and his family being taken by the angels’ hands and removed from the doomed city of Sodom to a place of safety, sudden destruction fell from above, decimating that whole region that had become intolerable to Heaven’s sense of righteousness.
The people of Sodom and Gomorrah undoubtedly no longer recognized as wickedness the evil that occurred every day and every night. They had, apparently, willfully immersed themselves in the absolute immorality that had totally polluted their society and culture. I think it’s fair to say this was the situation at that time because God destroyed all those living there, except for Lot and his family, with Jesus saying that Lot was “righteous in God’s eyes.” And that—God seeing Lot as righteous—obviously, we can conclude, was why Lot wasn’t so judged along with the others.
We leap forward now to our own time, examining and considering these days that almost certainly mirror those days of antiquity. If these days in which we live are the days about which Jesus prophesied —the time that will be like the time when Lot was removed so God’s judgment and wrath could fall—we must think on God’s method of removing the righteous so God’s sense of justice and righteousness can deal with the evil and wickedness of this world.
I choose not to go into all of the evil we’re witnessing all around us, and at every level, in this article. We’ve gone over these anti-God matters many, many times for, literally, years. I choose rather to think with you on a matter that’s among those of greatest interest to believers in Jesus Christ—the born again for salvation.
The Rapture of all born-again believers is inseparably linked to Jesus’ prophecy about the days of Lot in that Luke 17:26–30 account. The born-again believers in Christ for salvation of their souls are the righteous who, like Lot, will be removed at the Rapture (the twinkling-of-an-eye moment) when Jesus calls them into the clouds of Glory. This great event is, therefore, also linked inseparably to the sudden destruction that, like in the days of Lot, completely destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Apostle Paul was shown the mystery that is the Rapture of the Church. Paul was also given, through Holy Spirit revelation, prophetic truth about the terrible judgment that will immediately begin to fall upon those left behind—those committed to the evil and wickedness of this fallen world.
The following is Paul’s warning in that regard, linking sudden destruction to the Rapture of all believers.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:1–3)
The great apostle had, as recorded in the chapter just preceding this in 1 Thessalonians 5, gone into detail about the Rapture. He then gives the above prophecy, saying no one knows exactly when, but when the Rapture occurs, sudden destruction will come. This, of course, is exactly what our Lord said in the days of Lot prophecy.
At the same time the earth and those left behind are experiencing God’s judgment and wrath and the coming rule by Satan’s final dictator, Antichrist, all who have gone to Christ at the moment of Rapture will experience a “dynamic destiny.”
Here is the “mystery” the Lord told his immediate disciples—and what He later revealed to Paul, and, through His recorded words in the Bible, gave the great message of comfort for all of us who follow Jesus as our Savior and Lord:
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1–3)
And the Apostle Paul was further given, through Holy Spirit enlightenment, an exciting promise of the dynamic destiny of every believer at the moment of Rapture forward into eternity:
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
Again, Paul addresses the sudden destruction/dynamic destination matters, bringing them to a most comforting conclusion:
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:9–11)
Of course, if you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ (haven’t accepted His grace gift offer for redemption from sin that separates your soul from God and Heaven), then you are, tragically, appointed to the wrath of God and His judgment for your sinful condition.
Here is how you can assure that you will not have to go through the Tribulation, or be eternally separated from God and Heaven:
That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

The Things Left Unsaid
Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/the-things-left-unsaid
Throughout the Holy Scripture, God has revealed His plans to mankind in a number of ways that are both clear or obvious, but also some that were more obscure in their disclosure.
Prophecies often contain explicit statements about the future, yet there are also many instances where key details are left unspoken—only hinted at through implication, later revelation, or by the unfolding of history itself. These “things left unsaid” create an intricate tapestry of divine mystery, encouraging believers to search the Scriptures diligently and seek wisdom.
The Judgment of the World: From Water to Fire
One of the earliest and most striking examples of divine omission occurs in Genesis 8-9. After the great flood, God makes a covenant with Noah, promising that He will never again destroy the world with water:
Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth. Genesis 9:11
However, what He does not say is just as significant—because He does not promise to never destroy the world again; He only specifies that water will not be the means. It is only two thousand-plus years later, in 2 Peter 3:7, that we learn the full picture:
But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
God withheld this detail from Noah, perhaps because it was not yet time for mankind to comprehend such a judgment. The flood was a cleansing, but the final destruction by fire will be a purging, making way for the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21:1).
The Unspoken Destinies of Enoch, Moses, and Elijah
Both Enoch and Elijah were taken from the earth in supernatural, extraordinary ways. For example, Genesis 5:24 simply states:
And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
However, the book of Hebrews later tells us why “he was not,” so here is what was left out for thousands of years:
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5
According to the Old Testament (Torah), we learn when and where Moses died, but not how or why.
So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.6 And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but no one knows his grave to this day.7 Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished. Deut. 34:5-7
However, aside from not getting to enter into the promised land (which is foretelling enough), but Jude gives us another interesting scenario that plays out here that was not previously known or discussed:
Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” Jude 1:9
Similarly, 2 Kings 2:11 describes Elijah being taken to heaven in a chariot of fire. However, the Bible never explicitly tells us why Elijah was uniquely chosen for such a departure where he is removed from the earth without experiencing death.
Later prophetic passages singularly suggest he will have a future role in God’s plan (Malachi 4:5), while they both (Elijah and Moses) appear at the Mount of Transfiguration event (Matt 17, Mark 9). Most respected theologians consider Moses and Elijah as the primary candidates for the two witnesses in Revelation 11, as they both represent perfectly (aside from Christ) the embodiment of the law and the prophets.
The Mystery of the Messiah’s Two Comings
The Old Testament is filled with prophecies about the coming of the Messiah. However, these prophecies often intertwine His first coming as the suffering servant (Isaiah 53) with His second coming as the omnipotent King (Zechariah 14:9). What is left unsaid is that these two roles would be fulfilled at separate times, separated by thousands of years. Jesus refers to this in His "Mystery Kingdom" parables (Matt 13), indicating that His Kingdom would come first in its mystery form. But its mystery form would not be its final form.
Even Jesus’ disciples struggled with this concept. In Acts 1:6, they ask Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” They expected an immediate fulfillment of the messianic reign, not realizing that the kingdom would come in two stages—spiritually through the Church Age and physically upon His return.
The Silence of the Intertestamental Period
Between the Old and New Testaments, there is a 400-year gap where God does not speak through prophets. This silence is striking, especially considering the detailed prophecies given before and after this period. While no new revelation was given, the world was not without divine movement—there were the prophesied historical events, such as the rise of the Persian, Greek, and Roman empires, which perfectly set the stage (Pax Romana) for Christ’s arrival. The silence itself was a form of prophecy, demonstrating that God’s timing is precise (Luke 19:42), even when He does not explicitly reveal His plans.
Additional Examples of Things Left Unsaid
• The Origin of Melchizedek: Melchizedek appears in Genesis 14 as a priest of God Most High, but the Bible does not explain his lineage or background. Hebrews 7:3 describes him as being “without father, without mother, without genealogy,” leaving his identity a mystery.
• The Lost Years of Jesus’ Childhood: Apart from His birth and a brief episode at age 12 (Luke 2:41-50), the Bible is silent on Jesus’ early years. This omission invites speculation but also emphasizes the importance of His public ministry.
• The Full Nature of the New Heavens and New Earth: Revelation 21 gives us glimpses of the new creation, but many details remain veiled. What will life be like in eternity? What role will resurrected believers play in the celestial dispensation?
• The Identity of the Restrainer in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7: Paul speaks of a mysterious Being that restrains the appearance of the Antichrist, but he does not explicitly identify who He is. The only logical conclusion could be that it refers to the Holy Spirit’s presence through the Church, but the somewhat ambiguous text has left plenty of room for debate.
• The Contents of the Seven Thunders in Revelation 10: John hears seven thunders speak, but he is commanded not to write down what they said. This suggests that God withholds certain revelations from humanity until the proper time.
The Hidden Timing of the Rapture and the Second Coming
Given the aforementioned examples, it makes perfect sense that the most strategic and powerful mind in the entire universe wisely guards the timing of the most important future prophetic maneuvers. The timing of the conclusive ending for this human drama could not be known for thousands of years. It wouldn't be known until the generation arrived that meets all the criteria of "the last generation," that being:
a. Israel back in her land as a sovereign nation
b. The geopolitical picture aligns with the prophetic narrative (Gog, globalism, Islam, etc.)
c. Mankind finally reaches a state of technological progress that matches the world of Revelation 11 and 13
d. The church reaches peak "Laodicean" era
That said, one of the most debated “things left unsaid” concerns the timing of end-time events. Jesus plainly states in Matthew 24:36:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
However, the Bible also indicates in several places that the watching believer will see 'that Day' approaching (1 Thess 5:1-9, Heb 10:25, Rev 3:3). Despite this, many have tried to precisely predict when Christ would return. All attempts (thus far) have failed. We cannot know the specific time, but only the general time frame. Nevertheless, Scripture intentionally keeps the exact moment shrouded in mystery. This forces believers to live in a state of readiness, as Jesus emphasizes in Matthew 25 with the Parable of the Ten Virgins.
Conclusion: Embracing the Mystery
And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:9-10
God’s revelation concerning key prophetic themes—such as Israel, the Messiah, and salvation—is typically clear and evident throughout Scripture. However, prophecies regarding the timing of future events, particularly those of the last days, are often veiled as to their start dates, only becoming fully understandable to the generation they pertain to.
In this way, God provides both clear and concealed instruction, leading us toward faith—but not blind faith—rather than a complete understanding. Just as Daniel was told to "go his way" because certain prophecies would remain hidden until the time of the end, we too are only given insight into what is relevant for our time. That said, the prophetic gaps, the things left unsaid, are not oversights but intentional omissions designed to encourage dependence on Him.
As Deuteronomy 29:29 reminds us:
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever.”
Lawlessness and Deception: At the Perfect Time, God Will Intervene in World Affairs
By Jonathan Brentner - https://harbingersdaily.com/lawlessness-and-deception-at-the-perfect-time-god-will-intervene-in-world-affairs/
Do you feel it, too? Sometimes, the headlines of our day create an impatience within me for the Lord to intervene and begin His judgment on the evil-doers of our day. The ongoing murderous rampage in Syria began my latest round of wondering why the Rapture hasn’t already happened. Does He not see all the bloodshed in our world?
As I wrote last week, I recognize that the mind-numbing violence of our day has the world on course for the outpouring of God’s wrath after our departure from the world. The “sudden destruction” of the Day of the Lord begins soon after the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 5:1-10). Jesus’ appearing to take us home begins His direct intervention in the planet, during which time He will deal with the murderers, thieves, terrorists, and wicked that are causing much pain throughout the world.
It’s the wait that grows in difficulty as we witness lawlessness increasing exponentially while deception abounds.
As I began to fret over the seeming delay of God’s response, I read Psalm 75:2, “At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity.” That’s what I needed to see. The Lord’s answer to wickedness of our day is surely coming, but it will happen in His appointed time.
I’m reminded of the words of the prophet Habakkuk, “If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (2:3).
The Father Knows
After reading the verse from Psalm 75, I turned to Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:36:
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
The Father isn’t trying to determine the best time to send His Son to retrieve His bride, the Church. He knew the exact time two thousand years ago when Jesus walked through Israel. He’s not waiting for a time when conditions will be just right. He saw our day from antiquity and determined the day, hour, and moment of the Rapture long before the birth of the Church on the Day of Pentecost.
The Son knew all about our day and described with much precision the events of the last days and Tribulation in Matthew 24:3-28. Then, perhaps to forestall questions from His disciples and calm our inquisitive minds in the twenty-first century, Jesus stated that only the Father knows the exact time in history when these events would sweep across planet Earth.
Fixed By the Father’s Authority
After Jesus’ resurrection, the disciples asked Jesus if it was time He “would restore the kingdom to Israel” (Acts 1:6). In response, Jesus expounded upon His earlier statement that only the Father knew the timing of such things: “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority” (Acts 1:7).
Here again, Jesus defers to the Father’s authority in this matter. God set the timing of the end-time events, beginning with the Rapture, long, long ago. In Isaiah 46:10, we read that He sovereignly declares “the end from beginning and from ancient time things not yet done.”
The Lord sees the murderous rampages of our time as well as the over-the-top wickedness. It is enough to know that at just the perfect time, He will intervene in world affairs in an unmistakable way.
We cannot know the exact time, but we know that we live in the season of His appearing.
With Equity
The other word in Psalm 75:2 that caught my attention earlier this week is “equity.” The word denotes an evenness or fairness in the Lord’s judgment. That’s bad news for those who think no one sees their corruption, murder of the innocent, and injurious behavior. They may think that God will not respond to their wickedness, but He will do so as their deeds deserve.
So, what’s the encouragement for us in knowing that God’s judgment will be fair, righteous, and wholly justified?
First, because Jesus paid the debt for our sins on the cross, we will not suffer the eternal consequences of our sins. Not only that, but we will not endure the outpouring of God’s wrath during the Tribulation period. Those who come to the Savior after the Rapture will suffer greatly, but like us, they will not pay the ultimate penalty for their sins.
Second, while today’s lawlessness and widespread violence upsets us, we find some degree of relief in knowing that the Lord sees all the evil of our day, even far beyond what’s apparent to us. Not only that, but He will judge with equity because not only does He see all things, but He knows the intent of the heart. We will most likely not see the evil-doers of our day arrested and put in jail, but they will not escape the consequences of their actions unless they repent and turn to Jesus.
Third, I’m reminded of my need to trust the Lord’s handling of the wickedness of my day. Psalm 37:1-7 sums up a response of trust, that of resisting the temptation to fret, remaining “still” or calm before Him in light of the success of the wicked, and waiting patiently for Him to act.
It’s easy to become weary of waiting for the Lord to act, but someday, He will come for us, take us to Heaven, and repay those who perpetrate so much evil in our world.
“If it seems slow, wait for it; will surely come.”

There are cliché’s like “You can’t out give God.” Or trying to tie giving to scripture, like “give $133 because Psalm 133 says we will dwell together in unity, so you are giving according to scripture.” Nine ways to Sunday, many are guilting people to give. Others try to compel you to give. I remember a ministry that required its staff to give a minimum of 10 percent, otherwise they would be removed from the ministry. There are a lot of money mongers in ministry. Just saying. But what does God want of your giving? God tells us through His example as far back as in building the Tabernacle in the time of Moses.
Before construction could start, many materials were needed for the building of the Tabernacle. The people generously provided these materials. Exodus 35:1 tells us that Moses assembled the whole community of the people of Israel, and said, “Take up a collection for the LORD from among yourselves—anyone whose heart makes him willing is to bring the offering for the LORD…” We are to give from the heart. The Bible tell us that the people gave all that was needed to build the Tabernacle, even to the point that Moses had to give an order to stop because they were giving too much (Exodus 36:4-7). The giving from the heart was one lesson, but yet another deeper and very powerful lesson was to come.
In Exodus 30:14-15, Moses was instructed to take a census and each person over 20 either poor or rich was to give a half shekel of silver, no more, no less. All were equal in the half shekel donation each was required to give. These shekels were melted down and used as the base sockets that held the whole Tabernacle together. They held the many beams in place, that in turn supported the whole structure, there were 48 acacia beams that were mounted in the silver sockets which supported the walls of the Tabernacle. The message is a clear one— without the valuable contribution of each member, there would be no Tabernacle. Each person is represented equally before the Lord, no one is excluded. All are needed for the building and support of the house of God.
In the New Covenant, we see a similar connection to the building up of God’s people/house in Ephesians 4:15-16, “speaking the truth in love, we will in every respect grow up in to him who is the head, the Messiah. Under his control, the whole body is being fitted and held together by the support of every joint, with each part working to fulfill its function; this is how the body grows and builds itself up in love.” Each person has an important part to fulfill in the “assembling” of the dwelling place for God through love. And the foundation, according to 1 Corinthians 3:11, is Jesus the Messiah. The Tabernacle is the perfect picture of the Body of Christ, and the living breathing dwelling place, of “God with us.” We all have value in the Body of Christ. And you don’t need to be guilted into giving, give from the heart. That’s what God wants.
Daily Devotion: Born of a Virgin
by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). —Isaiah 7:14

Isaiah 7 tells the story of Ahaz, the king of Judah. In the cycle of good kings and bad kings who ruled over Israel and Judah, Ahaz definitely fell into the second category. He led the people of Judah into idol worship.
Ahaz became alarmed when he learned that his neighboring monarchs, King Rezin of Syria and King Pekin of Israel, had joined forces to launch an attack against Jerusalem, the capital of Judah.
The Lord sent His prophet Isaiah to reassure Ahaz. Isaiah told the king that the invasion would not happen. Neither Syria nor Israel was powerful enough to attack Judah. God invited Ahaz to ask Him for a sign of confirmation, something miraculous that would prove God could be trusted. Ahaz declined the offer, much to Isaiah’s annoyance. God gave him a sign to look for anyway.
Through Isaiah, God told Ahaz that a virgin would conceive and give birth to a child. Before that child was old enough to know the difference between right and wrong, Ahaz’s enemies, Rezin and Pekin, would be gone, and their lands would be deserted.
Prophecies sometimes have a two-part fulfillment: a short-term partial fulfillment and a long-term ultimate fulfillment. Many scholars believe that God fulfilled His prophecy in the short term, within a few years. The first four verses of Isaiah 8 suggest that Isaiah’s wife was the virgin, and his son was the child in the prophecy.
God also fulfilled His prophecy in the long term, seven hundred years later. Matthew 1:18 says, “This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit” (NLT).
That came as an understandable surprise to her fiancé Joseph, who looked for a way to break their engagement quietly so that Mary wouldn’t be embarrassed. “As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins’” (verses 20–21 NLT).
So that no one would miss the connection between Isaiah’s prophecy and Jesus’ fulfillment (it had been seven hundred years, after all), Matthew writes, “All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: ‘Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means “God is with us”’” (verses 22–23 NLT).
The Bible has dared to predict the future not once, not twice, but hundreds of times. It is worth noting that one-fourth of the Bible is prophecy. Approximately one-half of these prophecies have already come to take place. Therefore, if one-half have happened as God said they would, I have no reason to doubt that the remaining ones will happen exactly as God has said. When God tells you about what the future holds, you can take it to the bank. It is going to happen.
Reflection Question: What does the prophecy and fulfillment of the virgin birth reveal about God? Discuss this with believers like you on Harvest Discipleship!

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
