From Dry Bones to Living Nation: Even Secular Israelis Are Unknowingly Participating in God’s Prophetic Timetable
By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/from-dry-bones-to-living-nation-even-secular-israelis-are-unknowingly-participating-in-gods-prophetic-timetable/
This week, we marked Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, when we solemnly remember the 6 million Jews brutally murdered in a true genocide. It is a tragedy from which the Jewish people have not yet numerically recovered, even after 80 years.
Did you know that this solemn day, along with two other secular days observed in Israel, fulfills biblical prophecy? That’s right, even non-religious Israelis are unwittingly participating in God’s prophetic timeline.
Yom HaShoah and Yom Hazikaron are not merely national observances but powerful confirmations of God’s Word.
Those of us who take the Bible seriously know that the feasts of the Lord celebrated in Israel paint a prophetic picture of God’s end-time plan. But these three modern observances, often considered “man-made traditions” by the average Israeli, stand as signs of fulfilled prophecy and God’s faithfulness.
As the grandson of Holocaust survivors, this topic is deeply personal. My grandparents survived Auschwitz and made their way to Israel via Cyprus, where my mother was born in a detention camp. Upon arriving in Israel, my grandmother gave birth to her son, who tragically died on his 19th birthday during the War of Attrition with Egypt when his Israeli warship was sunk.
Here’s what’s crucial: the Holocaust, as horrific as it was, was not the cause of Israel’s rebirth. It was part of God’s prophetic timeline but not the reason for it. God had already begun preparing the ground decades earlier through the first Aliyah, the wave of Jewish immigration to the land of Israel.
Consider Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of dry bones in chapter 37. The prophet sees a valley filled with scattered dry bones, a vivid picture of the Jewish people dispersed among the nations. In verse 11, God explicitly tells Ezekiel, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!'” Could there be a more fitting description of the Jewish people after the Holocaust?
What happens next? God declares in verses 12 to 14, “Behold, oh My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, oh My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land.”
This is exactly what we’ve witnessed in our generation. The survivors of the Holocaust, these dry bones, were brought from the graves of Europe to the land of Israel. Not to Uganda, Argentina, or Madagascar, as some had proposed for Jewish settlement, but specifically to the land of Israel, just as God promised.
Next, we have Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. This day honors the soldiers who have fallen defending Israel and victims of terrorism. My own family has experienced this loss. My uncle died on his 19th birthday during the War of Attrition when an Egyptian attack sank an Israeli warship.
In Israel, Memorial Day immediately precedes Independence Day. Coincidence? Hardly! It’s a powerful reminder that our national rebirth came at a tremendous cost. The freedom we enjoy was purchased with the blood of those who defended this tiny strip of land against overwhelming odds.
Consider this. In 1948, the armies of five Arab nations descended upon newborn Israel, a nation of just 650,000 Jews—many of whom were Holocaust survivors. The world expected Israel to be wiped out in days. Yet, against all odds, Israel not only survived but thrived. As Zechariah 12:8 declares, “In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the Lord before them.”
This brings us to Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s independence day. On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the State of Israel.
Isaiah 66:8 says, “Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once?” That is precisely what happened! In a single day, after 2,000 years of exile, the nation of Israel was reborn.
This wasn’t just a political event; it was the fulfillment of ancient prophecy. God also promised through Ezekiel in chapter 36:8-10, “But you, oh mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. I will multiply men upon you, and all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.”
Look at Israel today. When Mark Twain visited in 1867, he described it as a “desolate country,” “a silent mournful expanse,” and “a desolation.” Now, Israel has thriving cities, remarkable agriculture, and cutting-edge technology. The desert is literally blooming!
Many secular Israelis observe these three days without realizing they’re participating in the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. They view them as secular national observances while unknowingly playing a role in God’s prophetic timeline. This reminds me of God’s words to Peter in Acts 10:15, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” Sometimes, what appears common or secular to human eyes is actually a part of God’s Holy plan.
In Malachi 3:6, God declares, “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, oh sons of Jacob.” It’s because of God’s unchanging nature that Israel still exists today. This is why the tiny nation of Israel, surrounded by enemies, continues to thrive against all odds.
So the next time someone claims Israel’s rebirth was merely a “political accident” or response to the Holocaust, remember Ezekiel’s dry bones, remember God’s promises to bring His people back to their land, and remember that what many see as a common, coincidence, or secular event God is using to accomplish His Holy purposes. Remember, the God who scattered Israel is the same God who has regathered them, and He will complete what He has begun.
The Last Prophecy
By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/04/26/the-last-prophecy-by-daymond-duck/
I have heard the destruction of Babylon by fire in one hour at the end of the Tribulation Period referred to as The Last Prophecy in the Book of Revelation to be fulfilled before the Second Coming.
It may be the last prophecy to be fulfilled before the Second Coming if we do not count a final attack on Jerusalem and the Battle of Armageddon.
Anyway, on Apr. 13, 2025, a reader sent me some links to videos that are about some stunning events in the land of Babylon (Iraq) that are not too far from the ancient city of Babylon (where there has already been a limited amount of repairs and construction) that I believe many students of Bible prophecy would like to know.
Here are the links to four videos:
(James Kaddis’ interview of Dr. Andy Woods)
(James Kaddis’ comments)
(video of what has happened)
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/iraq-is-building-a-17-billion-trade-corridor-to-bypass-the-suez-canal/vi-AA1B7XjP?ocid=hpdhp17 (Iraq is Building a $17 Billion Trade Corridor to Bypass the Suez Canal.)
I do not want to bore you with complicated teaching that you may not be interested in, but some prophecy teachers allegorize the Book of Revelation.
Some teach that Babylon in Rev. chapters 17 and 18 is New York City, the U.S., the EU, etc.
I hold a literal view and have been teaching for more than 30 years that the ancient city of Babylon will be rapidly rebuilt during the Tribulation Period, and it will be the headquarters of the one-world economic system and the one-world religious system.
I do not think Babylon needs to be a big city like New York City.
I think it will need only a few buildings for offices, staff, AI, a communication system, etc.
Here are seven reasons why I believe Rev. 17-18 should be interpreted literally, not allegorically.
One—All of the other cities mentioned in the Book of Rev. were literal cities.
When God said Ephesus, He meant Ephesus (not the EU).
When God said Jerusalem, He meant Jerusalem (not New York).
When God said a city, He meant a city, not a nation or a group of nations.
So, I believe that when God said Babylon, He meant Babylon, not the U.S.
Two—Zechariah 5:5-11 is about a woman called Wickedness who represents commerce and false religion.
Wickedness will be moved to the land of Shinar (the land of Babylon) at the end of the age.
I believe Wickedness and Mystery Babylon the Great are one and the same, and commerce and false religion will be located at rebuilt Babylon at the end of the age.
Three—Virtually all Bible scholars trace false religion and world government back to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel (just a few generations after the Great Flood).
Add to that the fact that Rev. 17:10 teaches that a false religious system existed in five previous kingdoms before the Roman Empire came on the scene.
Those five kingdoms are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece.
So there was false worship at the Tower of Babel and at Babylon.
In fact, Nebuchadnezzar built the statue that he ordered his world leaders to worship (including Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon (Dan. 3:1).
Four—Isaiah said Babylon’s final destruction will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah Isaiah. 13:19).
Ancient Babylon wasn’t destroyed by fire and brimstone like Sodom and Gomorrah. (It was buried under water when the Euphrates River changed course.)
But three times in Rev. 17-18, God said Babylon will be destroyed by fire in one hour.
This means Babylon must be rebuilt so it can be destroyed by fire.
Five—Isaiah said that after Babylon is destroyed, it will never be inhabited again (Isaiah 13:20).
But there are a few people living in Babylon today.
This means Babylon must be destroyed in the future and never inhabited again.
Six—Isaiah 14 teaches that Israel will be in the land when Babylon is destroyed.
But Israel wasn’t in the land when the Medes and Persians diverted the Euphrates River and captured Babylon.
Seven—After the final destruction of Babylon, the bricks that it was built with will never be used again.
But some of the bricks in the limited construction that is there now are used bricks that were taken from ancient Babylon.
This means Babylon will have to be destroyed again, so none of the old bricks will be used.
Know that there are many prophecies about Babylon in the Old Testament books of Isaiah and Jeremiah that are repeated in the Book of Rev., chapters 17 and 18. For example:
Isaiah 13:21 says, satyrs or demons (devils and false spirits) will dance in Babylon after its final destruction. We go over to the book of Rev., chapter 18:2, and we read that Babylon will become the habitation of devils and false spirits.
Jeremiah 50:15 says, as she (Babylon) has done, do unto her. We go over to the book of Rev. chapter 18:6 and we read, reward her even as she has rewarded you.
Jeremiah 51:7 says Babylon hath been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand. We go over to Rev. 17:4, and we read that Mystery Babylon has a golden cup in her hand.
Jeremiah 51:7 says the nations have drunk Babylon’s wine. In Rev. 18:3, we read that Babylon has made the nations drunk on wine.
Jeremiah 51:8 says Babylon has suddenly fallen. In Rev. 18:2 we read that Babylon is fallen, is fallen.
Jeremiah 51:9 says Forsake her. Rev. 18:4 says Come out of her, my people.
Jeremiah 51:13 says Babylon sits upon many waters. In Rev. 17:1, we read that Mystery Babylon sits upon many waters.
Isaiah 14:4 refers to the Antichrist as the king of Babylon. We know he will rule over every nation on earth, not just New York City, or the U.S., or the EU.
I don’t believe these things are a coincidence.
I believe God tied the prophecies in Isaiah and Jeremiah to the prophecies in Rev. 17-18 for a reason.
And that reason is that the ancient city of Babylon will be quickly rebuilt in the Tribulation Period.
I want to give you one of the problems that I believe has caused students of prophecy to go astray.
It will set the stage for the stunning event that I am leading up to.
Rev. chapter 18 teaches that Babylon will be a place of global commerce and global shipping at the time that the city of Babylon is destroyed.
World leaders, merchants, shipmasters, and sailors will bitterly weep when they see the smoke from Babylon (Rev. 18:9-18).
Erring prophecy teachers have said the city of Babylon is not a place of global trade and that it is too far from water for shipmasters and sailors to see the smoke.
It has been my position that world leaders, merchants, shipmasters, and sailors could see the smoke over the internet.
Elon Musk is even launching satellites to make that possible.
Anyway, here is the stunning event (use the video links above).
A large port, called the Al Faw Grand Port, has been built at Babylon to accommodate global commerce.
Construction started in 2020, and it is now complete.
Billions of dollars have been pledged, and there is a plan to build a canal and a road to bypass Iran’s threats to close the Suez Canal and the Houthis’ attacks on shipping through the Red Sea.
Global traders are anxious for an alternate route.
The last prophecy to be fulfilled before the Second Coming in the Book of Revelation could be coming on the scene now.
Here are more current events that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near:
One, on Apr. 18, 2025, Israel shot down a Houthi missile that appeared to be aimed at Bethlehem.
Two, concerning the U.S. and Iran negotiations over Iran’s nuclear weapons program: on Apr. 18, 2025, it was reported that Iran gave the U.S. a written proposal for a three-phase deal:
Phase 1— Iran will temporarily reduce uranium enrichmentto 3.67% in return for access to frozen financial assets and permission to export oil.
Phase 2—Iran will permanently end high-level enrichment and allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections, including surprise inspections, in exchange for wider U.S. sanctions relief and the EU not imposing UN sanctions.
Phase 3—Iran will transfer its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to a third country in exchange for the U.S. Congress approving a new nuclear agreement with Iran and lifting primary and secondary sanctions against Iran.
America’s negotiator, Steve Witkoff, welcomed the proposal, the Ayatollah Khamenei called it a good first step, and skeptics said Iran is just stalling for time to rebuild its air defenses and missile program.
(My opinion: Highly regarded and well-informed prophecy teacher Bill Koenig and his wife Tania have been very skeptical of Witkoff’s negotiations and have even implied that Witkoff may betray Israel. Iran doesn’t keep its agreements, and I find Witkoff’s immediate acceptance of Iran’s proposal very troubling.)
(Update: On Apr. 20, 2025, it was reported that another round of negotiations has been set for Apr. 26, 2025.)
Three, on Apr. 18, 2025 (Good Friday; also called Crucifixion Day), the incoming U.S. ambassador to Israel (Mike Huckabee) made his first official visit to Israel.
Huckabee immediately went to the Western Wall (called the Wailing Wall because Jews have shed tears there for about 2,000 years), where he placed Trump’s handwritten prayer for the peace of Jerusalem in a crack between some stones.)
Huckabee said Trump gave him the handwritten prayer and asked him to make his first official act as ambassador to Israel the placing of the prayer in the wall.
Huckabee inserted the prayer and then read Psa. 121 at the Western Wall.
Huckabee was scheduled to formally present his credentials to Israel’s president on the day after Easter.
(My opinion: It is just speculation, Trump’s attitude toward Israel is an indication that he would support the rebuilding of the Temple on the Temple Mount. The fact that Trump chose a staunch Bible-believing, Israel-supporting Christian to be his ambassador to Israel is not insignificant and could well be an act of God who fulfills every jot and tittle of His Word. This is not to say that Trump is the Antichrist, because I have often said that I do not think he is, but it is to say that some think he would support a rebuilt Temple.)
Four, on Apr. 20, 2025, Joel Rosenberg (All Israel News) reported that Mike Huckabee and his wife attended a sunrise service at the Garden Tomb in East Jerusalem to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
Hundreds of Christians from all over Israel and the world were there for the same reason.
Huckabee said he and his wife are not only representatives of the U.S. government in Israel, they are also representatives of Jesus Christ.
Five, on Apr. 18, 2025, it was reported that Franklin Graham led prayer at a worship service at the White House on Wednesday night and that he preached at a White House service on Thursday night during Holy Week.
Following Graham’s prayer on Wednesday, Trump said,
Nearly 2,000 years ago, during this sacred week, the living Son of God entered Jerusalem in triumph.
Soon after, the Savior of mankind, who brought truth and light into the world, was betrayed, arrested, tried, beaten, nailed to a cross, and crucified.
For our sake, He gave up His life, and as the very great Rev. Billy Graham once said, “God proved His love on the cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, ‘I love you.’”
At the White House worship service on Thursday, Graham preached, worshipers took communion, and students from Liberty University provided special music.
Five, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Apr. 18, 2025, U.S. Sec. of State Marco Rubio said Pres. Trump has spent 87 days trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Rubio added that the U.S. will not continue this effort for weeks or months on end.
He said there must be significant progress in the next few days or the U.S. is prepared to abandon the effort.
Six, Pope Francis died on Apr. 21, 2025.
Following a period of mourning, a conclave will gather to elect a successor.
Pope Francis removed several conservative Cardinals and replaced them with liberals.
There will likely be a lot of speculation that Saint Malachy’s 900-year-old prophecy will come into play and the next pope will choose the name Petros Romanus (Peter the Roman) and be the False Prophet.
Be careful: True prophecy comes from Scripture.
The predictions of others may or may not be true.
We need to wait this out and see what happens.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Ramifications of a Nuclear Iran
By Tom Gilbreath - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-4-27-2025/
An April 16th Newsweek article by Amir Daftari said, “Russia's upper house of parliament ratified a sweeping 20-year strategic partnership agreement with Iran on Wednesday, deepening military and nuclear cooperation just as fears of conflict between Washington and Tehran intensify.” A few days later, Vladimir Putin signed the agreement into law.
The treaty marks a new high point in a remarkable, and once unexpected, friendship. Russia and Iran had been enemies going back centuries. That began changing when the present radical Shia Muslim regime took over Iran in 1979. The two nations have grown closer over the years. In Russia’s war against Ukraine, it has used Iranian drone technology to deadly effect.
Iran longs to become a nuclear power. Russia brags about its position as the holder of the world’s largest nuclear arsenal. And now they have signed a pact promising to deepen their “military and nuclear cooperation.”
Here’s what makes that so dangerous. The Shiite religious leaders of Iran are zealots who believe that their expected messiah, known as the “Mahdi,” will come to rid the world of evil and bring on the judgment day. He will arise, they believe, at a time of maximum chaos in the world. And the Iranians have shown themselves more than willing to create that chaos. They promise to wipe Israel from the earth. They cry, “Death to America,” and they mean it. They remain the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. They already create chaos whenever and wherever they can.
Some might see this as the pot calling the kettle black since the Bible teaches that Messiah Jesus will return at the end of a period of chaos and turmoil. The difference is that, even if we wanted to (and we don’t), Christians have no way of creating the kind of fire-from-the-heavens chaos that Bible prophecy tells us will strike the world before the Lord’s return. We stand in awe as we see end-time events unfold. But we do not and cannot create those massive events. The mullahs running Iran have a different outlook. They long to hasten the Mahdi’s coming by creating a conflagration they believe only he can extinguish. And they are on the verge of creating an inferno like the world has never seen before.
Iran uses missile designs from their ally, North Korea. If Iran builds nuclear weapons, they have an ally ready to supply them with parts and designs for intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of striking practically anywhere in the world, including Europe and the United States. North Korea needs cash. Iran has cash — mostly from oil sales to China and Russia. Iran needs to know how to build ICBMs. North Korea has already built and tested machines capable of carrying nuclear weapons from North Korea to the continental United States. The North Koreans may see that as a win-win situation, but Iranian theology makes it an enormous threat to the whole world.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that keeping nukes out of the hands of the Iranians is just about Israel. It impacts everyone. Iran looks to be the first nation ever to gain nuclear weapons… and be happy to use them.
The Trump Administration just completed a third round of talks with Iran, and both sides expressed guarded optimism regarding their progress. We heard similar things a few years ago, though from a very different Administration. Previous experience should remind everyone that the mullahs who rule Iran are good at buying time while giving away nothing.
The Bible talks about a future war where Russia and Iran lead a coalition of nations in an all-out assault on Israel. That war will one day happen whether Iran has nukes or not. The Bible says this massive attack will not defeat Israel. But it gives no such assurances about the future of the United States. So, pray for President Trump and his team.
Alert! A War Between India and Pakistan Could Erupt at Any Moment
by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/alert-a-war-between-india-and-pakistan-could-erupt-at-any-moment/
India and Pakistan both have nuclear weapons, and now they are on the verge of war. It is being reported that India is considering a military response to a horrifying terror attack that occurred in Kashmir earlier this week, and Pakistani forces are already being mobilized in case that happens. If a full-blown war erupts, it will be a really big deal. 247 million people live in Pakistan, and 1.4 billion people live in India. So we are talking about a substantial chunk of the global population, and if nuclear weapons are used the death toll in a war between India and Pakistan would be off the charts.
This latest crisis started on Tuesday when terrorists associated with “The Resistance Front” killed 26 tourists in Kashmir…
Suspected rebels killed at least 26 people on Tuesday in the picturesque tourist resort of Pahalgam in the deadliest such attack in a quarter-century in Indian-administered Kashmir. A statement issued in the name of The Resistance Front (TRF), which is believed to be an offshoot of the Pakistani-based Lashkar-e-Taiba armed group, claimed responsibility for the attack.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promising to hunt the terrorists to the “ends of the earth”, and India’s government is accusing Pakistan’s government of “funding and encouraging terrorism in Kashmir”…
Armed police and soldiers searched homes and forests for militants in Indian Kashmir on Friday and India’s army chief reviewed security there after the killing of 26 men at a tourist site – the worst attack on civilians in nearly two decades.
The attack triggered outrage and grief in India, along with calls for action against neighbor Pakistan, whom New Delhi accuses of funding and encouraging terrorism in Kashmir, a region both nations claim and have fought two wars over.
We have seen tensions between these two great nations reach a boiling point before, but never anything quite like this.
Following the terror attack, India immediately suspended a very important water treaty…
On Wednesday, India suspended a water treaty governing the water flows of the Indus River and revoked the visas of Pakistani nationals within its borders. It also closed one of the only land border crossings between the two countries. Pakistan has responded by closing off its airspace to Indian planes and issuing a barrage of reciprocal visa revocations.
Millions of people in Pakistan are extremely dependent on water from the Indus River.
So it would create a major humanitarian crisis if India restricted or cut off the flow of water, but apparently that is what India has decided to do…
The government has decided to stop the flow of Indus River water to Pakistan following the termination of the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, in response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam carried out by Pakistan-based terrorists, sources said.
Yesterday, the Pakistani government warned that messing with the flow of water would be an “act of war”…
Pakistan warned India on Thursday that it was committing an “act of war” by suspending a landmark water-sharing treaty in response to a deadly terror attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
The threat from Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office followed a number of diplomatic measures imposed by New Dehli on Islamabad as tensions flare between the neighboring nuclear powers.
We really need a third party to step in and mediate this crisis, because it could spiral out of control very quickly.
In fact, there has already been shooting.
On Friday morning, Indian forces and Pakistani forces “briefly exchanged fire”…
Indian officials have confirmed Friday that Indian and Pakistani soldiers briefly exchanged fire along their highly militarized frontier in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, according to The Associated Press.
Small arms were used by both sides in the gunfight, and no casualties have as of yet been reported, a briefing by an Indian official indicated, in the first such live-fire incident since 2021. It also violates a pledge from the same year for the two nations to observe a ceasefire along the disputed Line of Control between Indian and Pakistani controlled areas of Kashmir.
The shooting has stopped for now, but social media is full of videos that show military equipment being moved toward the border.
And it is also an ominous sign that India has moved an aircraft carrier into the Arabian Sea…
In addition, Pakistan “has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen/Mariners) for the Arabian Sea and initiated a naval live fire exercise, while putting its military on full alert in anticipation of a possible military response by India in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack,” The Print, an Indian news outlet, reported.
India, meanwhile, has the aircraft carrier Vikrant in the Arabian Sea. While the vessel deployed before the Kashmir attack, it is now doing loops in the area as a possible contingency, posited Damien Symon, a geo-intelligence researcher for The Intel Lab intelligence consultancy.
We don’t know for certain whether India will conduct airstrikes or not.
For now, we are being told that “a variety of military options” are on the table…
“There are a variety of military options, short of a full-blown war, on the table,” the Times of India (TOI) reported, citing a senior military official. “It’s for the political leadership to take the final call. If there is a go-ahead, then the retaliatory strikes will be at a time and place of our choosing.”
India and Pakistan are not equally matched.
If India really starts pummeling Pakistan, would the Pakistanis feel a need to use their nukes?
Let’s hope that we never find out.
Meanwhile, President Trump continues to warn the world about what will happen if the Iranians do not give up their nuclear enrichment program…
During an interview with Time magazine, Trump was asked whether he was “worried” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would drag the U.S. into a war.
“No,” said the president, who continued his answer after the questioner attempted to change topics.
“[H]e may go into a war. But we’re not getting dragged in.”
Did that mean the U.S. will stay out if Israel goes into Iran?
“No, I didn’t say that,” Trump said. “You asked if he’d [Netanyahu] drag me in, like I’d go in unwillingly. No, I may go in very willingly if we can’t get a deal. If we don’t make a deal, I’ll be leading the pack.”
There will be yet another round of negotiations this weekend.
Let us hope that they go well.
Lastly, I wanted to mention the fact that a top Russian general was just assassinated not too far from Moscow…
Russian Major General Yaroslav Moskalik was killed in an IED bomb blast in the Moscow region on Friday.
This coincided with the planned peace talks between US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
According to Russia Today Moskalik was the Deputy Chief of Main Operations Directorate of General Staff of Russian Armed Forces.
Every time we take a step toward peace, something like this happens.
Ultimately, I don’t think that there is going to be peace in Ukraine.
The Russians and the Ukrainians are not even in the same universe when it comes to what a suitable peace agreement would look like, and neither side seems too keen on making significant compromises at this stage.
Daily Jot: The difference between strange fire and obedience
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
Have you ever seen someone passionately take on something that they say God has ordained, only to see it essentially go down in flames? Leviticus 9:1–11:47 informs us that not all well-intended passion aligns with God’s. Chapter 9 begins in celebration and ends in sobering reflection. After seven days of preparation, Aaron and his sons were finally stepping into their divine roles as priests of Israel. But what should have been a joyful climax to the holy week, turned to tragedy when Aaron’s two older sons, Nadav and Avihu, acting on their own initiative, offered incense in the Holy of Holies. They offered what scripture calls “unauthorized fire” before the Lord—and were consumed by His fire in response.
The Hebrew phrase used, esh zarah, is loaded with meaning. Many sages interpret it as a symbol of misguided passion—intense, but misaligned with God’s command. Others believe the brothers were under the influence of wine, confusing emotional fervor with spiritual purity. They might have thought that wine had a sanctifying effect, as wine was offered with most sacrifices as a libation poured out on the altar. It was never drank like the pagans did. It wasn’t Nadav’s and Avihu’s place to determine how God should be approached. And in this holy space, presumption proved deadly. The unauthorized or “strange fire” was illicit passion brought on by an artificial means. In other words, the brothers had been drinking wine before their service.
God’s fire appears three times in this story—first, to consume the offering and affirm the Tabernacle’s consecration (Leviticus 9:24); second, in the fire offered by Nadav and Avihu without God’s command (Leviticus 10:1); and third, in the judgment that followed (Leviticus 10:2). The same fire that confirms God’s presence also disciplines. It’s a reminder: passion in worship is essential, but it must be guided by obedience. Leviticus 10:10 provides the heart of the message—“so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, the clean and the unclean.” God desires a people who know the difference. This theme continues into the dietary laws in chapter 11, closing with God’s charge: “You are to be holy because I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45). Holiness isn’t just about ritual—it’s about the posture of the heart.
The deeper question is: what do we learn from this? We are invited into intimacy with God, but it comes with reverence. Hebrews 12:28-29 echoes this: “Therefore, since we have received an unshakable Kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may offer service that will please God, with reverence and fear. For our God is a consuming fire!” Rabbi Jonathan Sacks once wrote, “Entering the holy space requires humility—the total renunciation of human initiative.” When we confuse our will with God’s, even with the best intentions, we risk turning the holy into the profane. Yet, God refines those closest to Him. As Peter reminds us, our faith—more precious than gold—is tested by fire so it may be found genuine (1 Peter 1:7). Therefore, let us approach with humility. Worship with awe. And let the fire of God shape us—not consume us.
Daily Devotion: Faithful unto Death

Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed amazing miracles and signs among the people.
—Acts 6:8

In the months following Jesus’ ascension, the church grew at an amazing rate. Jesus’ followers, emboldened by His resurrection, spread the Good News near and far. And people responded. Acts 2:41 tells us that after Peter’s sermon at Pentecost, “those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all” (NLT).
The church was also trying a radical experiment in community living. “All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. . . . There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need” (Acts 4:32, 34–35 NLT).
“But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek-speaking believers complained about the Hebrew-speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food” (Acts 6:1 NLT).
Jesus’ apostles had neither the time nor the training to deal with such matters. Their solution was to delegate the responsibilities to “seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom” (Acts 6:3 NLT). The first person on their list was “Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit)” (verse 5 NLT).
One day a group of Jewish men started a debate with Stephen, but quickly realized they were overmatched. Stephen was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with His wisdom.
The men got their revenge by persuading others to lie about Stephen and accuse him of slandering the temple and the law of Moses. Stephen was taken to the Jewish high council to answer the charges.
Instead, Stephen launched into an epic sermon. He traced Israel’s relationship with God, starting with Abraham, who left his homeland for the land God promised him. God also promised Abraham that his descendants would fill the land but would also be oppressed as slaves in a foreign land for four hundred years.
Stephen recounted how God gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision and how He blessed Abraham’s descendants: Isaac, Jacob, and the twelve patriarchs of Israel. He explained how Joseph’s captivity in Egypt led to the slavery of the Jewish people for four hundred years. He also explained how Moses not only led them out of slavery but also prophesied the coming of the Messiah.
Stephen ended his sermon by making the connection between their ancestors’ rejection of Moses and the prophets and the Jewish leaders’ rejection—and murder—of Jesus.
Stephen spoke God’s truth boldly. He was prepared to sacrifice His life for His Savior. Acts 7:57–58 tells us that the Jewish leaders were so infuriated that they dragged Stephen out of the city and stoned him. Stephen became the first recorded Christian martyr.
There’s a powerful lesson in his story for all believers. We may never be called to give our lives for Christ, but we should be prepared to sacrifice our comfort, security, pride, relationships, plans, priorities, and anything else we hold dear for His sake.

"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
