The Days of Enoch

So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Gen 5:23-24

From the beginning, a line was created stretching from Adam through Seth, Enoch, Noah, to Abraham and continuing his lineage via Isaac, Jacob, and their sons. They are the line God has chosen to show mercy to, not because they are worthy of it (none of us are), but because through them, God would bring salvation and the Kingdom to Mankind. The line that ties the God-Man, Jesus Christ, to humanity is called the Crimson Thread. This thread would continue even though God would come to judge and destroy the whole earth with water. That means these men were preserved from the flood (Enoch) and through the flood (Noah), and were 'the called' (Abraham) and were blessed with a family to bring forth the Messiah (by way of the Jewish race). That line was given the law, the priestly oracles, the sacrificial system, and the prophetic word. All of this was designed before the foundation of the world to lead to the coming of the head of redeemed humanity, the last Adam, Christ Jesus.

Although God faithfully preserved the Messianic line from Adam to Christ to bring forth the eternal life, that physical lineage culminated—and concluded—with Jesus’ death on the cross. Contrary to the speculative claims of The Da Vinci Code and similar esoteric mythologies (such as those promoted by the Valentinians, Sethians, Merovingians, Templars, Rosicrucians, and Dan Brown), there is no continuing physical bloodline of Christ. These assertions are not only unfounded—they are blasphemous distortions of biblical truth.

While Jesus did have physical siblings (eg, Matt. 13:55–56; John 7:5; Gal. 1:19), His redemptive mission did not perpetuate a biological legacy, nor need to. Rather, from the cross forward, His lineage proceeds spiritually—not physically—as seen in the establishment of His kingdom in its present, temporary, mystery form (Matt 13, John 18:36). This spiritual genealogy consists of all born-again believers, whether of Jewish descent or Gentile, united in Him as the true seed of Abraham (Gal. 3:29).

Enoch was of that line.

Noah was in that line as well.

Lot, however...was not.

Types and Shadows

This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot. Genesis 11:27

Technically, Enoch, Noah, and Lot were all Gentiles because they either came before Abraham or were born outside his seed bloodline. Nevertheless, Enoch and Noah were still a form of Jew, being part of the Crimson Thread before Abraham’s birth. They were technically ancestors of the Jewish race because they were the forefathers leading to Abraham. But Lot was from a different branch, shooting off from a different line from Abraham’s father, Terah. And therefore, Lot was blessed by his association with the faith of Abraham (father of Israel ) just as the Church is blessed by the faith of Israel’s Patriarchs and prophets. Israel was the tree God planted…the church has been grafted in like branches foreign to the natural tree (Romans 11), whose grafts increasingly became made up of Gentiles.

Lot was a Gentile like Enoch and Noah.

However, Lot was not in the direct lineage of Christ, as Enoch and Noah were.

Instead, he benefited from his association with Abraham and the mercy of God. In this way, Lot mirrors the Church: not a physical heir to the promises of the Messiah, but a spiritual one, blessed through relationship and grace.

Scripture presents Lot as a man who exhibited signs of redemption. He is described as righteous and deeply troubled by the wickedness of Sodom (2 Peter 2:7). Yet, despite his convictions, his family had become profoundly compromised by the corrupt culture they lived in so much so that in his warning to his sons-in-law, they laughed at him, thinking he was only joking (Gen 19:14). Seriously, he was warning them about the sudden impending destruction, and they laughed at him. I imagine, since they were not with their wives (who were at Lot's house), they were out having a good time. As the old saying goes, the good times only last until they don't.

Even his wife, unable to let go of her life in Sodom, disobeyed God’s command by looking back—and was turned into a pillar of salt. From a "how did it happen?" perspective, perhaps it's plausible that Lot’s wife, in turning back toward the city, paused long enough to catch the outer ring of the divine, thermonuclear-like burst that had hit the plains of Sodom and Gomorrah. The sheer intensity of the radiant heat could have instantly vaporized the moisture in her body while simultaneously bleaching her skin in a flash of incinerating light. Given the salt-saturated environment near the Dead Sea area, airborne sodium particles may have crystallized rapidly upon her remains. What stood in the aftermath was not merely a victim of fire, but a white, salt-encrusted figure—a physical monument to disobedience and divine judgment.

And Lot himself was not untouched by the corrupting nature of Sodom and Gomorrah's influence. In an effort to protect his angelic guests, Lot shockingly offered his daughters to the violent mob, a decision that reveals the extent of his moral confusion. Later, in what may have been an act of misguided survival, the daughter's thinking the world was coming to an end (from their perspective, the Flood was not that long ago), manipulated and intoxicated him to become pregnant by Lot to save his bloodline (Gen 19:31). Each of these events underscores the deep, lingering impact of Sodom’s depravity, even on those whom God had chosen to spare.

So, if Enoch’s catching away is a picture of the faithful and righteous believers being raptured just before judgment, and Noah’s Ark is a picture of God delivering His people through the Tribulation on the day of wrath, what does Lot’s evacuation from Sodom represent? And Abraham, for that matter? Neither John nor I is saying "definitively," but it's interesting to see how these typologies line up.

Enoch Raptured well before judgment - The faithful remnant Church, removed before the Tribulation (Daniel's 70th Week)

Noah Preserved through judgment - Remnant Israel, protected through the Tribulation (Rev 12)

Lot Escaped as judgment fell - The Remnant Gentile Tribulation Saint, some survived, some didn't (Lot's wife, sons-in-law)

Granted, this is a bit of a stretch with Lot; even still, he is one of two who are referenced as whose days the last days would mirror. It’s possible, all things being equal, that Lot and Noah each represent different types of tribulation saints—Lot as a type of Gentile believer and Noah as a type of Jewish believer. Both are part of a faithful remnant. If Enoch is a foreshadowing of the Church—mysteriously taken before the judgment—then Noah would symbolize the believing Jewish remnant (remember he is in the Crimson thread) who will endure the 70th Week of Daniel by being hidden away (Zech 13:8-9, Revelation 12:6) and preserved so they may enter the Messianic Kingdom in their mortal bodies to, like Noah's family, repopulate the earth.

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30

Viewed this way, there is a certain symmetry with the pairing of these four patriarchs from both before and after the global flood. Thus, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Lot each serve as archetypes of God’s redemptive strategy. And while we’re not equating people with animals, it is noteworthy that God preserved a pair of every kind through the flood—perhaps a subtle echo of His intention to preserve both Jew and Gentile believers during His global judgment to repopulate the earth afterward.

However, Abraham and Lot were exclusively post-diluvian, who came after the flood and Babel. Here is the contrast. Before the flood, Enoch and Noah were both of the Messianic line. However, after the flood and Babel, that bloodline narrowed, including Terah, but excluding Haran and consequently, Lot. And yet, even though Abraham is in the bloodline and Lot is not, both were preserved.

Half-hearted

Another interpretation may still exist. Given Lot's paradoxical nature concerning types and shadows, Lot and his family may also reflect the final church age at the end, Laodicea, who will be mostly married to the world yet maintain a hint of faithfulness. A church that is disheartened in some ways by the world but so caught up in it that they long for its good things and pleasures more than the coming of Christ. In other words, they cling to a form of godliness but deny the power thereof in a very real sense (2 Tim 3:5).

When God called Abraham out of Ur, he took Lot (his nephew) with him, and Lot inherited part of Abraham’s land for his faithfulness to his uncle's calling from God. Similarly, when Israel brought forth the Messiah, the Church was born out of the fulfillment of Israel’s faith, and the church inherited many of the spiritual blessings of Abraham. The church never replaced Israel, nor did it intercept Israel’s physical blessings. But they did inherit the Spiritual blessings of Abraham’s faith through “whom all the world will be blessed.”

In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice. -Gen 22:18

But like Lot's family, the Church would be full of compromisers who would enjoy the world and become too mingled with it in the end to maintain their saltiness (Matt 5:13). It is to these that Jesus warns, But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly (Luke 21:34). In other words, not only is your life like a vapor, but this whole form of reality is passing away, and normal is going to come to a sudden and violent end. As to the lukewarm Christians basking in the warmth of their self-righteousness and wealth, Jesus says—

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see." Rev 3:14-18

Like the final Church, which is filled with some true believers (most of whom are not watching for the Lord’s return) but also has many false believers and worldly socializers filling the pews, Lot's family has a similar makeup. Like today’s church, that Sodom culture desired filling its bellies with food and drink and concerned itself more with the economic system of buying and selling and planting and building than with righteous living and seeking God.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Luke 17:28-29

Lot's family escaped Sodom but only to an extent. Lot was saved, as I believe the true believers in the final church will be in the Rapture. But his wife was turned into Salt for turning back and longing for Sodom. Perhaps she pre-figures church goers that will not have their oil in their lamp when the Lord comes and will be cast into the Tribulation with a half-hearted faith...the desire to fit in and regain their former status may cause them to take the Mark of the Beast and be damned forever. Some (perhaps like one or both of Lot’s daughters ) will carry their worldliness into the tribulation but eventually choose their faith in Jesus instead of the Beast system and die as tribulation saints. Their salvation will come with a cost, but they will be saved in the end.

Lot’s family, living in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, also depicts the sad state of humanity at the end of the age. A time when even the Lord’s people are teetering on complete merger with the lost world, and a time Jesus spoke of when he said:

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:7-8

When the rapture comes, it will be the realization of the blessed hope for many who have longed for Christ’s return. It will also be the greatest gift of grace the Church can imagine because God will be fulfilling His promise to keep His Church from the hour of trial coming on the whole earth, and He will be doing it in spite of the fact that so much worldliness has seeped into the Church body. But the glorious event will be immediately followed by the worst time of trouble in human history. Lot’s evacuation from Sodom mirrors closely this fiery escape and the sudden destruction that fell when he was gone. So too will it be when the church is raptured!

And through Him, we who are born again, will be able to explore our own spiritual family trees, to see all who came before us. When Enoch was taken up, the world that was then seemed normal. It was getting progressively more wicked, and yet, if Enoch's enigmatic departure is any clue, the world is going to struggle mightily with where all these people disappeared to right before apocalyptic judgment fell on them.

By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:5-6

It's Not Sci-Fi Anymore: China's Drone Mothership Is Ready for War

The battlefield of tomorrow is not waiting for tomorrow. It's here--and it's airborne.

Sleek, stealthy, and ominously named "Sky High," this 82-foot wingspan aircraft is not just another drone--it's a drone launcher, a high-altitude arsenal capable of raining down coordinated, intelligent, and lethal swarms with stunning speed and precision.

This is not a hypothetical weapon. It exists. It flies. And it could redefine the future of war--particularly for the United States Navy, whose aircraft carriers may soon face threats for which no current defense is sufficient.

The Drone Swarm Revolution

Imagine a hundred self-destructing drones descending like locusts on a carrier group in the Pacific--overwhelming radars, jamming comms, targeting antennas, runways, and weapons systems all at once. This isn't science fiction; this is China's playbook for the next-generation battlefield.

Military analysts have long feared the day when swarms of autonomous drones could flood American defenses. Now, that day may be here.

China's Jiu Tun UAV doesn't just carry drones--it's a combat-capable, high-altitude, radar-evading warplane that can also deploy missiles. But it's the swarm capacity that changes the game. A coordinated drone strike could take down or blind key naval assets before they can react, including billion-dollar aircraft carriers. In essence, China has built a weapon whose main tactic is overload--overwhelming sensors, saturating defenses, and making high-cost ships vulnerable to low-cost, high-volume attacks.

That's warfare math, and it doesn't favor us.

Why Americans Should Care

If you're reading this thinking, "But we're the United States--we have the best military on Earth," you're not wrong. But you may be missing the bigger picture: Warfare is changing faster than our doctrine.

Just as smartphones disrupted communication and AI is reshaping business, drones are rewriting the rules of combat. In Ukraine, small FPV (First-Person View) drones have been responsible for 80% of Russian casualties, according to U.S. Rep. Pat Harrigan. And that's using cheap tech. Now imagine what a nation with China's resources, AI integration, and manufacturing scale can do.

And they're doing it.

Jiu Tun isn't a one-off. It's part of a massive, methodical Chinese investment in unmanned warfare, from transport drones to stealth reconnaissance to loitering munitions. Beijing is signaling loud and clear: We will dominate the sky--not with one fighter jet, but with a thousand eyes, brains, and bombs flying autonomously.

America's fleets, with their massive signature and centralized command, are increasingly vulnerable to swarming tactics. It's like bringing a castle to a gunfight--with the enemy armed with a cloud of flying arrows.

Strategic Implications for the U.S.

Make no mistake, China's drone mothership is a message--to Taiwan, to Japan, and especially to Washington.

The U.S. has long relied on air and naval dominance in the Indo-Pacific. But China's Jiu Tun, coupled with its rapidly growing missile arsenal and cyber capabilities, is building a denial-of-access zone--a kill box--where U.S. forces would struggle to operate freely.

Drone swarms are notoriously difficult to stop. Unlike manned aircraft, they don't need to return home. They can fly in erratic patterns, communicate with each other, and sacrifice themselves en masse to destroy valuable targets.

In essence, China isn't just preparing for war. It's preparing to win fast--with technology that overwhelms, confuses, and disables.

Time to Wake Up

Let's be blunt: America's deterrence posture cannot rest on nostalgia. Our adversaries are innovating. We're upgrading, but they're leapfrogging.

Yes, we have unmatched aircraft like the F-35 and the MQ-9 Reaper. But the Jiu Tun doesn't fight like them. It thinks differently. It is different. And unless we shift our thinking, we could find ourselves in the same spot as 20th-century battleships when aircraft carriers first took to sea: impressive, proud--and obsolete.

We need to fast-track our own drone swarm capabilities, invest in directed-energy weapons, and rethink our carrier-centered doctrine in the Pacific. The future won't wait. And neither will our adversaries.

The Real War Isn't Drones--It's Denial

The danger is not just that China builds a better drone. The danger is that Americans keep scrolling past headlines like this one, thinking this is a faraway problem, a Pentagon issue, a "next war" scenario.

But the truth is: the next war is already taking shape, and it's one America might lose--not because we're weaker, but because we're slower to change.

In secret labs all over the planet, researchers are playing around with the deadliest diseases that humanity has ever known. In some cases, the goal is to make those diseases even more deadly and even easier to spread. If a terrorist organization or one of our enemies really wanted to create complete and utter chaos in our society, releasing a weaponized disease in a heavily populated area would be one of the easiest ways to do that. A bomb could kill hundreds or even thousands of people, but a highly infectious pestilence could spread like wildfire all over the country and potentially kill millions of Americans. If you believe that the Iranians, the North Koreans, the Russians, the Chinese and radical Islamic terror groups all over the globe would never do such a thing because they are such decent people, you have a much higher view of humanity than I do.

Of course it wouldn’t necessarily take a large organization to pull off such an attack. These days, just a handful of people could cook something up and release it into our society if they knew what they were doing.

We have seen extraordinary advancements in the field of biotechnology over the past several decades. Experiments that once took enormous resources to pull off can now be conducted by a group of college kids working in a basement.

We are far more vulnerable than most people realize, and it is just a matter of time before the next killer pandemic erupts.

On Tuesday, the World Health Organization adopted a “pandemic agreement” that is supposed to help it fight future pandemics…

After three years of intensive negotiations, the World Health Organization on Tuesday adopted the world’s first agreement on how to cooperate and respond to future pandemics — without the support of the United States.

The agreement was overwhelmingly passed in a vote of the World Health Assembly, an annual gathering of WHO member state delegations: 124 votes in favor, 11 abstentions and no objections. Leaders of member states hailed the accords, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who called it a shared commitment to ensuring that “no one is left behind.”

We are being told that this new pandemic agreement will result in “greater international coordination and surveillance”…

According to the AFP report, the agreement “aims to better detect and combat pandemics by focusing on greater international coordination and surveillance, and more equitable access to vaccines and treatments.”

That’s just great.

We are going to get more “international coordination” and more “surveillance” now.

So precisely who is going to be in charge of implementing specific measures to ensure that there will be “greater international coordination and surveillance” in the future?

Needless to say, it will be the World Health Organization.

This is a power grab by the WHO, and WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus just issued a statement that expresses how thrilled he is about this…

The world is safer today thanks to the leadership, collaboration and commitment of our member states to adopt the historic W.H.O. Pandemic Agreement.

The agreement is a victory for public health, science and multilateral action. It will ensure we, collectively, can better protect the world from future pandemic threats.

It is also a recognition by the international community that our citizens, societies and economies must not be left vulnerable to again suffer losses like those endured during Covid-19.

Thankfully, there are some global leaders that are speaking out against the pandemic agreement.

One of them is Robert F. Kennedy Jr…

In prerecorded remarks aired at the WHO assembly, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slammed the widely praised agreement and instead called for a “reboot [of] the whole system.”

“The WHO has not even come to terms with its failures during covid, let alone made significant reforms,” Kennedy said. “Instead, it has doubled down with the Pandemic Agreement, which will lock in all of the dysfunctions of the WHO pandemic response.”

The last pandemic caused so much panic all over the globe, but I am entirely convinced that future pandemics will be much more deadly.

Many experts are closely watching the bird flu because they believe that it could soon start spreading widely among humans. According to one study, a deadly new strain of the bird flu is killing 90 percent of the cats that it infects…

Yet the ways cats are getting bird flu are multiplying. The study shows cats contract bird flu directly by eating infected birds or contaminated raw chicken feed, and indirectly through other mammals – for example, farm cats fed raw milk from infected cows, pet cats to other pet cats, tigers to other tigers.

Infected cats often suffer from acute encephalitis (brain swelling) and other severe symptoms, which are mistaken for rabies, according to the study. The most deadly strain of bird flu is highly infectious and makes up the majority of cases in domestic cats, with a current 90% case fatality rate.

I was quite alarmed when I first read that.

Of course there are countless other diseases that could cause the next global pandemic as well.

We just don’t know which disease it will be.

But what we do know is that more pandemics are coming. In Matthew 24, Jesus specifically warned us that there will be multiple “pestilences” in the days just before His return…

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

And in Luke 21, we once again find Jesus using the plural form of “pestilence” as He was talking about the days just before His return…

10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

There won’t just be one “pestilence”.

There will be multiple “pestilences”, and vast numbers of people will die.

In fact, Revelation 6:8 tells us that a fourth part of the global population will die during the seal judgments alone…

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The phrase “with death” is actually translated as “with pestilence” or “by pestilence” in a number of other English translations.

This is what our future is going to look like.

Millions upon millions of people will die during the great pestilences that are coming.

Can you imagine the panic that this will cause?

Most of the population is using this period of relative stability to party, but they should be using it to prepare.

‘Side B’ Is Another Insidious Attack on the Authority of Scripture, And It’s Likely It’s Coming to a Church Near You

Ephesians 5:11 reads, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”

The Bible commands us to “take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness,” which, in context, include sexual immorality—and yet many in the church are bending over backward to find creative ways to accommodate sexual immorality to “lower the entry bar” for unbelievers or the discipleship hardships for professing believers, especially those who identity as LGBTQ. And one of those “creative” methods for skirting biblical teaching is what’s known as “Side B Christianity, which may at first glance seem compassionate and just another way to encourage sinners to “come as you are,” but remember that Jesus invites all to come as they are—but he never calls them to stay as they are.

A recent op-ed [from Daren Mehl, President of Voice of the Voiceless], uses a definition of “Side B” from late pastor Dr. Tim Keller—who certainly didn’t take Genesis 1 literally as AiG does—in a refutation of this ideology:

People attracted to the same sex, though remaining celibate in obedience to the Bible, still can call themselves “gay Christians” and see their attraction as part of their identity which should be acknowledged like one’s race or nationality.

Dr. Rosaria Butterfield (a former lesbian activist, now Christian, who is speaking at AIG’s 2026 Answers for Women conference) has described it this way:

Celibate gay theology [Side B]—which claims to uphold a traditional biblical view of sexuality—has become the default compromise in churches and parachurch ministries. It embraces homosexual orientation and identity but disallows gay sex. It categorizes homosexual desire as a morally neutral temptation.

So instead of fully embracing LGBTQ lifestyles (as “Side A” does), “Side B” proponents acknowledge that homosexual acts are sinful but claim the identity is not. What nonsense! How can any Christian identify themselves by a temptation that the Lord hates and that their regenerate hearts should equally hate? As Dr. Butterfield put it:

How can any of us fight a sin that we don’t hate? Hating our own sin is a key component to doing battle with it. At the same time, we need to separate ourselves from the sin we hate. This can be a very challenging issue for a Christian who experiences SSA [same-sex attraction], an issue that becomes exceedingly more challenging if one assumes the social identity of “gay Christian.”

We must maintain that we who repent and believe stand in robes of righteousness as beloved sons and daughters of God, even as we do daily battle with any [and] all sexual lust and unbiblical desire that claims our affections. We are not our sin, and we ought never to let it define us.

To that I say, “Amen!”

Now, going back to Keller’s definition, consider the comparison he makes: Sexual “orientation” is the same as “race” or nationality. Now, there’s no such thing as “race”—we’re all one biological race—so I’ll use the term ethnicity here. Ethnicity is a set thing, given to you by the God who “made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place” (Acts 17:26). Nationality is either something you are born with or something you adopt when you immigrate. There is no morality attached to ethnicity or nationality.

But homosexual desire is a temptation that must be put to death by the power of the Holy Spirit as believers fight their sin. It isn’t an identity like the God-given identities of male or female (Genesis 1:27). It’s a temptation that we’re to pray to be delivered from (Matthew 6:13), that is not given by God but comes from our own desire and leads to death (James 1:13–15), and that God gives us the power to overcome (1 Corinthians 10:13).

As the op-ed states, “Side B offers a truncated Gospel” that denies the power of the cross. The cross doesn’t just free those who are in Christ from sinful acts—it frees us from our sinful identities, from our sinful desires, and from succumbing to our temptations (in thought as well as action) because we are no longer slaves of sin but slaves of righteousness (Romans 6:18). It redeems us and calls us to be holy as the Father is holy (1 Peter 1:15–16) and declares that our previous identity in sin is what we once were (1 Corinthians 6:11): “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” (Emphasis added).

“Side B” is not compassionate. It is evil because it waters down the cross and calls people to celibacy as the answer to their struggles rather than to the freedom that Christ has called us to. Christ offers so much more than a placating sentiment that says, “That sin is who you are—just don’t do it!” Such a position is just one step away from fully embracing homosexuality, which I predict “Side B” will soon complete the slide into. When Christ sets you free, you are free indeed (John 8:36), a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), created to do good works (Ephesians 2:10) and to walk in holiness (1 Peter 1:15–16) in word, deed, and thought.

Just another version of “Did God actually say?” (Genesis 3:1), “Side B” is another insidious attack on the authority of Scripture, and it’s likely coming to a church near you. I encourage you to read the read the full op-ed from [Daren Mehl] as it did a good job highlighting how this theology shows up in even conservative churches, why it’s unbiblical, and how we can stand against it.

I encourage you to make plans to attend with your teenage daughters and granddaughters, as everyone, especially young people, needs to be equipped to think biblically on this topic!

I’ll end this article with the ending of the op-ed:

To the confused believer who may be struggling, know this: you are not alone in your anguish. Your temptations do not define you. Your sexual desires are not your identity. You can be free. You can be transformed. You are not beyond redemption. Christ died to make you holy, not just celibate. You do not have to live as a spiritual orphan, fighting for scraps of healing and transformation. You are a child of God, and He will not withhold good from those who seek Him.

Side B Gay Christianity is regression, and it should be wholly rejected. It has a form of godliness but denies the power of God unto salvation. It’s the wisdom of men dressed up in religious clothing. Pastors should not patronize those who are crying out for freedom with Side B’s muted, lifeless promises and therapeutic slogans.

Sexual strugglers of every kind need the Gospel—the real, full Gospel—which sanctifies and sets captives (of all types of sin) free.

Trump kept the pressure on China by retaining Section 301 and 232 tariffs, ensuring that strategic sectors like steel and aluminum are protected. For the American worker, especially in manufacturing and heavy industry, this is not just a win—it’s a welcome reversal of the death-by-offshoring policies of the past two decades. Next, the US-UK deal. The United Kingdom was hungry for new trade relationships, and the US capitalized on that. In a calculated move, tariffs on British autos dropped from 27.5% to 10% for 100,000 vehicles annually, while steel and aluminum tariffs were eliminated. In exchange, the UK axed its 19% ethanol tariff, opening the door for a surge in US biofuel exports and farm goods.

This is more than economic arithmetic; it’s strategic alliance-building. This deal also prioritizes the aerospace and high-tech sectors, which is a nod to protecting US intellectual and manufacturing prowess. Then there’s the US-India agreement. Often overlooked, this partnership has enormous long-term potential. India has agreed to lower tariffs on key US imports and is projected to support up to $500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030. With tariffs dropping in sensitive sectors like agriculture and defense, the ripple effect for American farmers, ranchers, and energy producers is significant. India gains access to high-quality US goods, and Americans gain a growing market and a democratic ally in a volatile region.

So, what does all this mean for the American consumer? Lower prices in some sectors—yes. But more importantly, these agreements protect the integrity of our supply chains, reduce reliance on adversarial nations, and bring jobs home. This isn’t just policy—it’s a philosophical shift. Under Trump, tariffs are not punishment; they’re leverage. They’re the price of access to the world’s most valuable consumer market. And for once, the leverage is being used to defend Main Street instead of appease Wall Street. Fair trade is biblical. In Proverbs 11:1, we are reminded: “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.” This fair trade doctrine is a shift from dishonest global scales to fair weights. It’s not just about economic wins. It’s about restoring righteousness in how we do business—with strength, strategy, and a spine.

What if every Christian lived as you live? What if you were the sole representative of Jesus Christ on this earth? Would there be enough gospel in your life for people to believe? Enough saltiness to stimulate in them a thirst? Enough light for them to find their way out of the darkness and put their faith in Jesus Christ?

That may seem like a far-fetched scenario, but there are people whose exposure to the Christian faith is limited to the negative stereotypes they see in the media.

If you don’t step into the role and embrace the idea of representing and modeling the Christian faith, you give other people the chance to do it. People with ulterior motives. People who have reason to misrepresent the Christian faith. That’s how negative stereotypes get traction.

Of course, even in the face of negative stereotypes you have an opportunity to shine a light and show what genuine faith looks like. Titus 3:2 says believers “must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone” (NLT). First Peter 3:16 says, “Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ” (NLT). And Jesus says in Matthew 5:11–12, “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven” (NLT).

The opportunities are endless. As a believer, every situation you find yourself in, every interaction you have with someone else, and every choice you make in the way you conduct yourself has the potential to leave a lasting impression on someone else. The way you represent Christ may be the push someone else needs to begin a relationship with Him.

In Philippians 2:12, the apostle Paul says, “Work hard to show the results of your salvation” (NLT). In verses 14–18, he explains how to do it. “Do everything without complaining and arguing” (verse 14 NLT). “Live clean, innocent lives as children of God” (verse 15 NLT). “Hold firmly to the word of life” (verse 16 NLT). “You should rejoice” (verse 18 NLT).

If you’re a believer, you’re a representative of Christ. There’s no getting around it. Whether you like it or not, the way you live will factor into people’s attitude toward the Christian faith. Embrace the opportunity. Show people the life-changing power of a relationship with Christ. Give them a thirst for God’s truth. Be the light they need in this increasingly dark world.
