God’s Faithfulness: Why Do Many Pastors Ignore Paul’s Declaration of Love for the Jewish People?
By Tom Simcox - https://harbingersdaily.com/gods-faithfulness-why-do-pastors-ignore-pauls-declaration-of-love-for-the-jewish-people/
Romans 9—11 is often misunderstood. Some pastors have told me they wish they could skip chapters 9—11 and go directly from chapter 8 to chapter 12. Others have told me they view chapters 9—11 as a “parenthesis” and don’t see its relevance to the rest of the apostle Paul’s Epistle to the Romans.
I understand their positions; but without Paul’s discussion concerning Israel in Romans 9—11, the key points of Romans 8 and the beginning of chapter 12 would be impotent—and Paul’s heart for Israel would be lost.
What About the Jews?
Paul wrote this marvelous letter around AD 58 to the church in Rome, which was composed of Gentile believers in Jesus Christ. The Romans had come to faith from paganism, where people worshiped a plethora of mythological gods and goddesses and bowed down to a multitude of statues. These believers likely had little knowledge about Israel or God’s relationship with His covenant people.
Nero became emperor four years earlier, in AD 54; and according to the British Museum, he was “one of Rome’s most infamous rulers, notorious for his cruelty, debauchery and eccentricity.” In 10 more years, he would unleash a merciless and severe persecution on Christians.
Paul taught about the one true and living God whose love for these believers would never cease, no matter what happened to them: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Rom. 8:35). Paul concluded chapter 8 by telling them that absolutely nothing “shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (v. 39).
The Roman Christians probably relied heavily on this encouragement when Nero began feeding them to the lions and impaling them on stakes, smearing them with oil, and lighting them on fire to light his gardens.
But what about the Jews? Someone could make the case that God made some heavy-duty promises to Israel that He seemingly did not keep. What if the Roman believers disappointed Him? Would He then abandon them as He appeared to be abandoning Israel?
‘Certainly Not!’
Paul then bared his heart for Israel: “I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, who are Israelites” (9:2–4).
His heart was broken for his kinsmen because he genuinely loved them and wanted them to come to salvation in Christ. After all, they were God’s people, “to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen” (vv. 4–5).
Then Paul explained Israel’s complex relationship with God due to centuries of disobedience, rebellion, and hardheartedness. It certainly looked like God had forsaken them.
Yet, despite everything Israel had done to displease and dishonor God, the Lord was not finished with His ancient people.
Wrote Paul, “I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew” (11:1–2).
Then he added, “Have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles” (v. 11). The fact that God still promised Israel a glorious future should have given the Romans immense confidence in God’s faithfulness to them in the face of growing persecution.
Romans 9—11 is a stupendous treatise on the faithfulness of God. It encapsulates Paul’s clear teaching to this Gentile church and to all of us today that God can be trusted. He is not merely a man. He will not renege on His promises to the Jews or to the Gentiles “for His great name’s sake” (1 Sam. 12:22; cf. Ezek. 20:44; 36:22).
Later, in a letter to his protégé Timothy, Paul declared, “I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Tim. 1:12).
God’s Faithfulness and Love
Paul’s deep love for Israel should be the heart of every believer today. Commenting on Romans 11, Bible scholar Dr. Charles Ryrie wrote,
When Israel rejected Jesus Christ, the nation lost her favored position before God, and the gospel was then preached also to Gentiles. Hopefully the Jews would become jealous and be saved (v. 11). But the casting off is only temporary. When the Lord returns, the Jewish people will be regathered, judged, and restored to favor, and redeemed (v. 26).2
Salvation went to the Gentiles because Israel stumbled at the gospel message of its Messiah. Because of Jewish unbelief, Gentiles have been “grafted in” (v. 17) to the root system that Paul taught goes all the way back to the promises God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The root system is Jewish; and Gentiles constitute the wild olive branches (vv. 17, 24) grafted into the Jewish promises.
The church does not replace Israel; rather, through Israel’s Messiah, it enjoys the promise God made to Abraham that, through him, “all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Gen 12:3).
Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures (the only Bible that existed when Paul taught the Romans), God promises He will never forsake or forget His Chosen People: “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands” (Isa. 49:15–16). Through the prophet Jeremiah, God told Israel, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jer. 31:3).
Paul’s love for Israel mirrored God’s own love for the Jewish people. Paul knew what forgiveness entailed because he had experienced it himself. He knew Israel played a huge part in God’s plan of redemption for mankind and that Israel had a beautiful future that was secure and forever settled in the heavens. And he knew that, based on God’s faithfulness to Israel, God would be faithful to the believers in Rome.
During this Church Age, God calls people to Himself one at a time, be they Jewish or Gentile: “The same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. ‘For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’” (Rom. 10:12–13; cf. Joel 2:32).
Romans 9—11 is God’s declaration of intent to keep His promises to His people Israel, no matter what. These chapters also reveal Paul’s tender heart for his brethren and his steadfast belief that because of God’s faithfulness to Israel, we don’t have to be afraid to submit ourselves to Him as living sacrifices. He is worthy of our complete trust.
Apostasy in the Church: A Brief History of the Destroyer
by Jim Fletcher - https://www.raptureready.com/2025/07/02/apostasy-in-the-church-a-brief-history-of-the-destroyer-by-jim-fletcher/
I like to connect dots. Fill in blanks. If we don’t know how we got where we are today in the Church, we can’t see the full picture and therefore can’t make good decisions going forward. I liken what we are experiencing to the call for parents to get their kids out of public schools. Home school, Christian school, whatever you can do. I’m thrilled that my daughter is doing that next year with my young grandchildren. I take them to museums and talk to them about history and current issues. They are able to handle it, and they are no longer exposed to Woke propaganda.
I think things are much the same way with churches today. Look, I don’t make blanket statements. There are plenty of great churches and courageous, biblical pastors out there.
By and large though, the “Big Box” churches, those from the Church Growth Movement, are, at best, “recreation centers,” as a pastor friend likes to say. He’s spot-on. Further, they are not just soft on biblical issues—they are unbiblical.
So it is that I want to talk this week about how we got to be where we are: grotesque “drag queen” “services” in churches across the country. Or from the pulpit, messages that attack Christ’s divinity. Tony Jones at Fuller Seminary years ago saying that he rejected the doctrine of Original Sin. Henry Ward Beecher in the 19th century claiming hell is a myth. (He found out.)
In Genesis 3, we read about enmity—Total War—that God declared between Satan and Jesus Christ. An age-old war that will culminate in Armageddon, and later, when Satan is thrown into the lake of fire. Everything today has flowed from Genesis 3. I’ll also discuss the scourge of anti-Semitism in the Church today. Here we go.
I trace the modern problems we have to the 19th century. There are differing views of origins, but I believe Genesis exactly as it’s written. It reads like a news article. We are told where we came from, why we’re here, and where we’re going. These themes are repeated through the rest of the Bible.
During the Enlightenment however, the 16th to the 19th centuries, certain men in Europe thought they were too cool for school. They dismissed the “idea” of God as primitive myth. By the middle of the 19th century, German scholars in seminaries were openly declaring that much of the Bible is myth or Hebrew legend. The Exodus was questioned. Noah’s Flood. Did Abraham really exist? They had no real proof of their claims (check out books by Drs. Robert Dick Wilson and Henry M. Morris for brilliant refutations of the liberalism of this period). Yet these attacks on the Bible took root.
In 1902, German scholar Friedrich Delitzsch gave an address in Berlin (in the audience was the Kaiser), “Babylon and the Bible,” in which he alleged that the Bible was influenced by Sumerian myth rather than the other way around. This stunning attack on Scripture has directly led to where we are today, which is apostasy sweeping across the American landscape.
This concept had been brought out into the open 50 years before with the “Higher Critical” methods of biblical scholarship flourishing in German seminaries. And then…then came the publishing of On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. That spawned Darwinian philosophy (and it is philosophy, a big key to understanding the teaching). It is documented that monsters like Mao, Stalin, and Hitler all embraced the tenants of evolution. In Germany, Darwinian philosophy married Luther’s Jew-hatred to bring about a situation where the Old Testament was virtually ignored in the German churches (primarily Lutheran and Catholic). In this way, German officers were able to slaughter Jews by day and read the Christmas story to their children at the holidays in the evenings.
Now, this might surprise you, but what really jazzed British and American clergy in the last half of the 19th century was Darwin. In fact, it’s almost as if American preachers were waiting for him. When Beecher became enamored of the social Darwinism teachings of Darwin’s colleague, Herbert Spencer, he brought the dour bachelor to the United States for a lecture tour! This happened in 1882.
(Interestingly, this happened at exactly the same time Palestine was seeing a large influx of Jewish immigrants, which was the beginning of the fulfillment of the great prophecies of the ingathering of the Jewish people. So, what was happening in reality was subtly challenged by evolutionary theory and the “myth-makers” in the seminaries.)
You are probably already ahead of me. What I’ve outlined briefly above is the path that has brought us to widespread Jew-hatred in the 21st century. And I’m just talking about anti-Semitism in the Church. When I was growing up, Bible prophecy and loving the Jewish people were in the air of churches. Conferences, weekly sermons, and resources celebrated the obvious, spectacular prophecies being fulfilled. The Return of the Jewish people is the greatest and biggest prophecy of the last 2,000 years. It is astonishing.
Yet it is not obvious to most professing Christians today. Think about it. My childhood denomination, The Southern Baptist Convention, has been hijacked by Reformed guys that hate prophecy and Israel. Even the Assemblies of God, the other large denomination that was pro-Israel, is slipping, now infiltrated by leftists. Pro-Israel support is slipping dramatically across the board.
It got this way because of the constant attacks on Scripture by millennia-old enemies.
I believe every word of the Bible is true. From the first letter to the last. I believe it by faith, but I have also lived long enough to see it defended successfully time after time. There is limitless evidence that the Bible is true and that the God of the Bible is all-powerful, fully sovereign.
But these beliefs are not shared widely today. Isn’t that wild? It’s incredible! And I mean, in the Church. Read the polling data. A shocking number of pastors and congregants no longer believe in the physical Resurrection. Or the Atonement. Or the Virgin Birth. The list goes on.
Pastors from Beecher to Harry Emerson Fosdick, Norman Vincent Peale, and Robert Schuller heavily influenced what would become the Church Growth Movement (or, if you prefer, Seeker-Driven, launched in 1975 in Chicago by Bill and Lynne Hybels). In the last 30 years, congregational Bible reading is out the window. “Teaching” is choked off by an almost total reliance on books and resources by celebrity pastors (I can’t think of one nationally that I’d endorse). When you have 45,000 SBC churches taking deep dives into The Purpose-Driven Life, you’re not getting much Bible teaching. Does this make sense? In such settings, you also swim in anti-Bible prophecy propaganda. Etc.
Right now, the Church Visible in America is an enemy of the Cross of Christ. I remembered this phrase from a sermon I read by T.T. Shields, a Canadian pastor in 1935. He said that about Fosdick, at the time perhaps the most famous pastor in America, from his New York City perch. Fosdick was even writing children’s books that pulled kids away from simple belief in the Bible.
(In 1925, the infamous Scopes Trial in Tennessee helped mainstream the teaching of evolution in public schools. It took 40 more years to get prayer out of public schools, but this is the progression of progressivism.)
You have Andy Stanley literally attacking the Bible, but crickets from famous pastors. Warren completed his takeover of Evangelicalism, and few people are aware—though Bible-believing Christians are aware that something is off. Read Noah Hutchings’ superb treatment of this, The Dark Side of the Purpose-Driven Church. I also highly recommend Paul Smith’s New Evangelicalism.
Smith’s book, in particular, will answer many questions you have about the state of the American Church now. The brother of Calvary Chapel founder Chuck Smith, Paul, went to the source material, and he exposes the great evil that has crept into the Church (see the book of Jude).
Well, I’ve given you enough to chew on for now. We’ll pick this up again soon.

When Wolves Preach and the Sheep Applaud: The Tragic Apostasy of the ELCA
By PNW Staff - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=8456
There was a time when heresy had to knock to get inside the church. Now, it holds the microphone at Evangelical Lutheran Churches across the country.
It seems there is a story making headlines every other week coming out of this denomination as their pastors and leaders continue to reject the clear teaching of scripture and replace it woke, leftist and progressive theology.
The story that's making headlines this week is more than just a controversy--it's a warning siren echoing through every sanctuary that still bears the name of Christ. And it's not about one rogue preacher. It's about the wolves in sheep's clothing that now preach without resistance, and the tragically "dumb sheep" who sit quietly in the pews, either too timid or too deceived to call it out.
They've been led to believe that tolerance is love, that Scripture is outdated, and that Jesus was simply a good man who occasionally got things wrong. And so, week after week, they sit under the voices of false shepherds, believing they might reform these wolves--or worse, because they no longer recognize the voice of the true Shepherd.
This is what happens when false teaching is tolerated. When Scripture is treated as symbolic suggestion rather than inspired truth. When emotional comfort replaces eternal conviction.
Case in Point: Rev. Nick Utphall's Attack on Jesus
At Advent Lutheran Church (ECLA) in Madison, Wisconsin, Rev. Nick Utphall recently took the pulpit to explain why Jesus needed to be corrected. Yes, you read that right.
Preaching on Luke 10--where Jesus gently corrects Martha for being "worried and upset about many things"--Utphall suggests Jesus was wrong to elevate Mary's choice to sit and learn. He accuses both Luke and Christ of trying to suppress Martha's role, even calling the story "an attempt to diminish women's roles." He then makes the audacious claim:
"Jesus needed to have his world view... expanded... Jesus needed to learn his lesson and stand corrected."
What Rev. Utphall did is not merely misinterpret Scripture. He attacked the very authority of Christ. And his congregation? They listened, nodded, and likely walked out believing that Jesus should have sat in silence while Martha worked. That's what happens when a wolf is allowed to teach. That's what happens when sheep forget how to recognize the Shepherd's voice.
The Anti-Gospel Gospel
As if that weren't enough, another viral sermon this week featured a female pastor--affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)--who outright dismissed the Great Commission. With a smile and self-congratulatory confidence, she said:
"There are people who are perfectly happy in other faiths who don't need converting to ours... and people with no faith at all who are just fine."
Let that irony sink in: someone who openly rejects the idea of evangelism is still proudly serving in a denomination that calls itself Evangelical. It's like a firefighter arguing against putting out fires--while wearing the uniform.
This isn't just theological confusion. This is spiritual rebellion--open defiance against the very heart of the Gospel. This is a rejection of Christ's own words:
"Go and make disciples of all nations..."
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
How can someone claim to follow Jesus while denying the necessity of salvation through Him?
The answer: They don't. They're not following Christ. They're following the culture.
And yet these pastors remain in good standing with their denominations. People continue to attend, although thankfully declining. And their heresies are shared online like they're the next great revelation.
Why Do the Sheep Stay?
Why do congregations sit through this? Why do people stay under the authority of pastors who clearly reject the authority of Christ?
Some stay because they've been indoctrinated with woke, leftist theology masquerading as compassion. Others stay because they think they can reform the wolves. But most stay because they no longer know the truth. They've been fed cotton-candy sermons and soft-peddled gospels for so long that they wouldn't recognize a real one if it hit them in the heart.
This is exactly what 2 Timothy 4 warned us about:
"For the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine... but will gather teachers to suit their own desires."
That time is here. And many sheep, in their desire to avoid offense, are being led quietly to slaughter.
The Path Back to Truth
Let's be clear: a church without the Gospel is not a church. A pastor who corrects Jesus is not a pastor. These are not messengers of God--they are mouthpieces of the spirit of the age.
And that spirit has a goal: to silence the truth, shame the truth-tellers, and offer a false sense of peace to the perishing.
But there's still hope. There's still time. This moment can awaken the true Church--not to panic, but to boldness. To call out the deception not to shame, but to warn. Because eternity is not a metaphor. Hell is not a myth. And Jesus is not one of many ways. He is the only Way.
So let us return to the Word. Let us raise our voices not in fear, but in truth. Let us preach the Gospel even when the world mocks it. And let us never confuse niceness with faithfulness.
The wolves are preaching. The sheep are listening. It's time for the watchmen to speak.
"Preach the word... correct, rebuke, and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine..."
--2 Timothy 4:2-3
That time has come. And we cannot afford to be silent.
A Newly Discovered Interstellar Object That Is 12 Miles Wide Is Rapidly Speeding Toward the Sun – Could It Potentially Collide with Mars?
Astronomers just discovered that an absolutely gigantic space rock that they have never seen before has entered our solar system. For now, they are referring to this giant space rock as “A11pl3Z”, and they are scrambling to find out all they can about it. At this stage, they don’t even know if it is a comet, an asteroid or something else. What they do know is that it is very large. According to one estimate, it is 12 miles wide. That means that Apophis is just a tiny pebble compared to this monster. They also know that it is getting closer to the Sun, although the exact trajectory of the object is uncertain. As it speeds toward the Sun, it appears that Mars will be the planet that has the closest encounter with this giant space rock. Is there a possibility that it could actually collide with Mars?
We are being told that the reason astronomers have never seen this giant space rock before is because it originally comes from another solar system…
There is a growing buzz in the astronomy community about a new object with a hyperbolic trajectory that is moving toward the inner Solar System.
Early on Wednesday, the European Space Agency confirmed that the object, tentatively known as A11pl3Z, did indeed have interstellar origins.
“Astronomers may have just discovered the third interstellar object passing through the Solar System!” the agency’s Operations account shared on Bluesky. “ESA’s Planetary Defenders are observing the object, provisionally known as #A11pl3Z, right now using telescopes around the world.”
In recent years, two other giant space rocks that traveled into our solar system from somewhere else have been discovered. Oumuamua was the first, and Borisov was the second.
Now, A11pl3Z will be the third example of this phenomenon…
There’s a new object in the solar system headed toward the sun, and it may have come from interstellar space. We only know of two other interstellar objects that have entered into our solar system before, ‘Oumuamua and Comet 2I/Borisov. The nature of ‘Oumuamua is still a matter of debate, and the second was a comet from another solar system. And now we may have a third interstellar visitor. Currently named A11pl3Z, this object has a trajectory that suggests it didn’t originate inside our own solar system.
The primary reason why astronomers have become convinced that A11pl3Z did not originate in our solar system is because it has an extremely hyperbolic trajectory…
An engineer at the University of Arizona’s Catalina Sky Survey, David Rankin, said recent estimates of the object’s eccentricity are about 6. A purely circular orbit has an eccentricity value of 0, and anything above 1 is hyperbolic. Essentially, this is a very, very strong indication that A11pl3Z originated outside of the Solar System.
I agree with that analysis.
In fact, as I discuss in my new book entitled “10 Prophetic Events That Are Coming Next”, I am convinced that it will become increasingly common for us to encounter enormous interstellar objects as the entire Alpha Centauri system travels directly toward us at a speed of approximately 79,000 kilometers per hour.
Right now, A11pl3Z is on the other side of the Sun, and it is reportedly already inside the orbit of Jupiter…
A11pl3Z is currently slightly inside the orbit of Jupiter, but on almost exactly the opposite side of the Sun, so it has not been affected by the giant planet’s gravity.
First detected by the ATLAS sky survey on July 1, A11pl3Z was announced on BlueSky by astronomy student K Ly with the handle astrafoxen. The discovery set off a scramble by other observatories to see if they had images of it that they had overlooked, which could help refine its orbit.
This is a brand new discovery.
To me, it is quite alarming that this absolutely gigantic space rock got so close before our astronomers were finally able to spot it.
And with each passing day, it will be getting even closer.
According to Daily Galaxy, it is being estimated that A11pl3Z will come within approximately 0.4 AU of Mars in early October…
It will pass Mars at approximately 0.4 AU, barely within the observable range of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. As A11pl3Z moves closer, the object’s characteristics will likely become clearer, adding to the growing body of knowledge regarding interstellar objects.
If that estimate turns out to be accurate, A11pl3Z will pass Mars at a very safe distance.
But as I did more research, I discovered that another estimate has A11pl3Z “coming within just 0.2 au of the Red Planet” on October 3rd…
A11pl3Z is currently about 3.8 astronomical units (au) from Earth, according to Avi Loeb, an astronomer at Harvard University. One astronomical unit is equal to the average distance between the Earth and the Sun. On October 3, it should make a close approach to Mars, coming within just 0.2 au of the Red Planet, Universe Today reports.
Is it going to be 0.4 AU or 0.2 AU?
There is an enormous difference between those two estimates.
And what if both estimates are wrong?
If you shave off another 0.2 AU, there is a possibility that A11pl3Z could actually collide with Mars.
So what would happen if a giant space rock that is 12 miles wide were to collide with Mars?
According to astronomer Marshall Eubanks, A11pl3Z is traveling at a speed of approximately 56 miles per second…
Scientists estimate it could be up to 12 miles across. It could also set a new speed record, ripping by the Earth with a relative velocity of around 56 miles per second, according to radio astronomer Marshall Eubanks.
If an object that big and traveling that fast were to hit something, the destructive power would be unimaginable.
The good news is that A11pl3Z is not expected to come anywhere close to our planet.
In fact, the closest that it is expected to get to our planet is 1.35 AU on October 30th…
A11pl3Z should make its closest approach to the Sun on October 29 and its closest approach to Earth on October 30, both at a distance of 1.35 au.
But for a moment, let’s consider what would happen if a space rock that size was heading directly toward the Earth.
Needless to say, we would be facing an extinction-level event.
In fact, scientists have estimated that if an asteroid that is just 7 or 8 miles wide hit us it would “wipe out most everything on Earth”…
For an asteroid to wipe out most everything on Earth, it would have to be massive. Scientists estimate it would take an asteroid about 7 to 8 miles (11 to 12 kilometers) wide crashing into the Earth. Once it made impact, it would create a tremendous dust plume that would envelope the entire planet, block out the sun and raise temperatures where the asteroid made impact. Billions would die, and much of life on the planet would be destroyed. But, scientists believe some would survive.
So let’s watch A11pl3Z very closely.
There appears to be no chance that it will hit Earth.
But if it did hit Mars, how would we be affected?
Let’s hope that we don’t find out…
Daily Jot: America's sinister revolution on Independence Day eve
Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com
Americans are preparing to celebrate Independence Day and the American Revolution, but in the shadows brews a darker, more sinister kind of revolution. This one doesn’t come with muskets and declarations, but with hashtags, Molotov cocktails, and media spin. It’s orchestrated by paid protestors, radical elements of the Democratic Party, Hollywood elites, and even foreign influencers—each pushing to tear down the fabric of our republic and stitch up a Marxist remake in its place. Democrat-run city after city has erupted like carefully orchestrated revolutionary theatre. No solutions, just the loud cry for “resistance.” This is no noble resistance, but the kind that undermines every American value and the rule of law.
These radicals and their allies in Congress aren’t interested in fixing the system. They want to burn it down. They demonize police, glorify protests that promote Palestinian terrorism, defend Iran (the world's top sponsor of terror), and denounce every move President Trump makes—even though he won with overwhelming support and continues to poll well among the American people. Meanwhile, ICE agents trying to do their jobs face a 500% increase in physical assaults. Democrat leaders like Ilhan Omar (D-MN) accuse Trump of creating a “police state” and showing hatred for “American values.” Others, like Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and Jamie Raskin (D-CA), are openly talking impeachment again—this time over Trump’s strikes on Iran. Apparently, defending America’s national security now qualifies as a high crime.
And then there are the celebrities. Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Kerry Washington, Olivia Rodrigo—the list keeps growing. These insurrectionists are protesting, shouting down ICE, calling border enforcement “Nazis,” and encouraging Americans to “resist” anything that looks like law and order. Their solution to every issue is more outrage, more protests, more division. Some of these protests aren’t even about domestic issues anymore—they’ve started waving flags for Iran, chanting support for Hamas, and openly standing with America’s enemies. Let that sink in: The same crowd screaming about tyranny is now aligning themselves with regimes that target civilians with terror and make no excuse for their brand of totalitarianism.
Benjamin Franklin once said our government is “A republic, if you can keep it.” This is the challenge for our generation. We are the firewall. If we don’t stand up for Godly truth, for order, for the Constitution, this country will slip into something unrecognizable. The left has revealed what their revolution looks like. It’s angry. It’s funded. And it’s bent on control. Let’s be clear: Freedom isn’t a default setting. It has to be defended. And not just with words, but with action, unity, and moral clarity. The radicals tearing at this country don’t speak for the majority. But if the majority stays silent, they win by default. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” Hold the line. Pray. Speak. And this Independence Day, remember—we’re still the land of the free, but only if we’re also the home of the brave.
Daily Devotion: A Place at the Lord’s Table

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. —Psalm 23:5
https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/a-place-at-the-lords-table/ - Listen
From the day that we commit our lives to Jesus Christ, everything changes for us. Gone is that ever-present guilt that used to nag us day and night. There is no longer an empty hole deep inside of our soul. In the place of those things, God gives us what the apostle Paul referred to as His “peace, which exceeds anything we can understand” (Philippians 4:7 NLT). God places a new joy in our hearts and gives us the hope of Heaven when we die.
But when we commit our lives to Christ, we also gain enemies. That’s what David was talking about when he wrote, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” (Psalm 23:5 NIV). These enemies want to weaken our commitment to Christ and throw up obstacles to our spiritual growth.
The three primary enemies Christians face are the world, the flesh, and the devil. The world is the external enemy. It entices us with temptations, diversions, and false teachings. It points us down paths where God doesn’t want us to go. The flesh is the internal enemy. It plays on our weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and appetites. It tries to convince us that satisfying our own needs and wants should be our highest priority. The devil, who works in and through the world and the flesh, is the infernal enemy.
The apostle Peter warned, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8 NLT). Jesus said the devil “was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44 NLT).
This unholy trinity of the world, the flesh, and the devil creates a powerful opposition, especially for new believers. The best strategy to combat it is to nurture an intimate relationship with the Lord, whom David describes as a shepherd in Psalm 23, as we sit at His table. We do that by studying God’s Word, where we find His promises, His wisdom, His will for our lives, and His guidance. And we do it by talking and listening to Him in prayer, keeping the lines of communication open at all times.
When we sit at the table of the Lord, we’re satisfied because we know that everything we need is there. We don’t hunger for anything else. I’m not saying that we’ll become temptation-proof. What I am saying is that we won’t be as drawn to temptation as we once were. We’ll see the diversions of the world, the appetites of the flesh, and the schemes of the devil for what they really are: dead ends, worthless enticements, and cheap imitations of the truth.
The Lord has set a table before us. We have no reason to fear our enemies.

"Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!"
"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey
