‘Let Them Go’: Hamas Is the Reason the Hostages Are Still in Gaza — Not Netanyahu

(Tel Aviv, Israel) — It’s time to change the conversation surrounding the hostages in Gaza from “Bring Them Home,” which puts all the pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to “Let Them Go,” which puts the pressure where it rightly belongs, on Hamas.

Thousands of left-leaning Israeli demonstrators are expected to fill the streets of Tel Aviv again this Sunday to try to pressure the Netanyahu Government to end the war in exchange for the release of the hostages. The problem that much of the world, and the left in Israel, won’t acknowledge is that Israel has already agreed to lopsided hostage ceasefire deal after ceasefire deal—Hamas is refusing peace.

“The truth is that Hamas still has thousands of armed terrorists in Gaza,” Netanyahu stated before the international press earlier this month. “It vows to repeat the savagery of the October 7th massacre, and to do so again and again and again. It openly professes its goal to destroy the state of Israel. It subjugates Gazans. It steals their food. It shoots them when they try to move to safe zones.”

Earlier this month, Israel’s security cabinet voted to capture Gaza to fully root out the terrorists, which risks the lives of the 50 hostages remaining in captivity. President Trump posted on Truth Social Monday, saying, “We will only see the return of the remaining hostages when Hamas is confronted and destroyed!!! The sooner this takes place, the better the chances of success will be.”

He went on to say, “Play to WIN, or don’t play at all!”

Right now, the IDF is planning to set up field hospitals around Gaza City in preparation for what could be a bloody battle. But it’s not just the war on the ground Israel is fighting; it’s a war raging with a dishonest media. This week, Israel corrected a BBC story falsely reporting that a 20-year-old woman evacuated to Italy from Gaza died of “malnutrition.” In reality, Marah Zahri had an aggressive form of leukemia, and it was Israel that helped coordinate her evacuation from Gaza to receive medical care.

This is just the latest example of how the legacy media chooses to believe Hamas’s propaganda—and that is why “Bring Them Home,” which places the responsibility on the Israeli government, is incorrect. “Let Them Go” places the blame exactly where it belongs, on the terrorists.

When someone is kidnapped, we don’t blame the police for not finding them fast enough. We blame the kidnappers. When someone’s taken hostage, don’t blame the government. Blame the hostage takers. Hamas is the reason the hostages are still in Gaza. Hamas is the reason Gaza is a war zone. Hamas is the reason the people of Gaza are suffering. Not Israel, not Netanyahu—Hamas.

Place the blame where it belongs, on the radical Islamic terrorists who started this war and refuse to end it.

Do Not Be Fooled by Hamas's 'Positive Response'

The Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas said earlier this week that it has delivered a "positive response" to mediators on the latest US proposal for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal with Israel. The group's leaders, however, continue to talk about the need to continue the "armed struggle" against Israel. For Hamas, the "armed struggle" means launching more terror attacks against Israel and murdering as many Jews as possible. Hamas leaders, in addition, continue to stress that they refuse to lay down their weapons.

In a recent interview with Hamas's unofficial mouthpiece, the Qatari state-owned television empire Al-Jazeera, senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi said:

"Hamas and the Palestinian resistance factions will not lay down their weapons. We will continue to exert pressure on the Zionist enemy through the armed struggle. We met with the Palestinian factions in Cairo and agreed to escalate the confrontation and the struggle. What other choice do we have? Surrender? Gaza will not surrender. The Palestinian resistance sticks to its positions. Resistance is the only way to confront the enemy."

Mardawi does not live in the Gaza Strip. He and most of the Hamas leaders are based in Qatar and Turkey. From there, they continue to issue calls to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to step up the "armed struggle" against Israel. These leaders are determined to fight Israel to the last Palestinian. They do not care about the suffering of the Palestinians, especially those living in the Gaza Strip. They do not care because they and their families lead comfortable lives in Qatar and Turkey.

The war in the Gaza Strip started on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and murdered 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals, wounded thousands and kidnapped 251 men, women and children. Hamas terrorists continue to hold 50 hostages, of whom only 20 are believed to be alive.

Nearly two years later, Hamas remains as defiant as ever. When its leaders say the "armed struggle" will continue, they are actually threatening to launch more attacks similar to the October 7 atrocities. Two weeks after the October 7 attack, senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad, based in Qatar, said:

"We must teach Israel a lesson, and will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood [the name Hamas uses to describe the massacre] is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight."

If Hamas is indeed ready to accept a ceasefire, the reason is not because it wants to stop the death and destruction in the Gaza Strip. Rather, Hamas wants to ensure that it will be able to continue ruling the Gaza Strip after the war. Hamas wants to stay in power and hold on to its weapons so it can pursue its jihad (holy war) to murder Jews and destroy Israel. This has been Hamas's goal since its establishment more than three decades ago. In its 1988 charter, Hamas describes itself as "one of the wings of Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine." At the beginning of the charter, Hamas quotes Hassan al-Banna, the Egyptian founder of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization as saying: "Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."

Hamas took advantage of previous ceasefire deals with Israel to regroup, rearm and plan for the next round of fighting. In the weeks before the October 7 attack, Hamas leaders went to great lengths to create the false impression that they were not interested in engaging in another war with Israel. A source close to Hamas told Reuters:

"Hamas used an unprecedented intelligence tactic to mislead Israel over the last months by giving a public impression that it was not willing to go into a fight or confrontation with Israel while preparing for this massive operation."

Hamas leaders seem to believe that they can deceive Israel and the rest of the world again by pretending that they want an end to the war with Israel. They might accept a ceasefire, but it would be only on a temporary basis until they were ready for the next attack on Israel.

Hamas has not – and will never – give up its goal of eliminating Israel and replacing it with an Islamist state.

As Atef Seif, a Palestinian writer and spokesman for the ruling Fatah faction, wrote:

"Hamas only wants what is best for Hamas and its survival. Is there anyone who doubts that? Hamas seeks to secure itself after the war ends. Hamas knows that after the war ends, the people will question it about the adventures (wars with Israel) it has been undertaking for two decades, which have only brought people more suffering. We, the Fatah members who were thrown into Hamas prisons, saw the tortured people with our own eyes and heard their screams. The goal of the negotiations is to serve Hamas's agenda, not to stop the people's suffering. Hamas has committed a historical precedent that no other organization, political or military entity has ever committed before it anywhere else in the world. History will record that Hamas is the first organization to sacrifice its people for its own survival. Hamas is more important than everyone else; it is more important than Palestine, more important than Gaza, and its leadership is more important than more than two million Palestinians facing death and awaiting exile. Nothing is greater than Hamas except Hamas. This is the inner voice of the Hamas negotiator as he moves between hotels in various capitals. Note that the Hamas leadership will be the Palestinian group in history that has lived in the hotels of the world's capitals the most. It practically lives in hotels and moves between them, all in the name of Palestine and in the name of Gaza, which is being slaughtered; because Hamas has decided to build glory at the expense of the oppressed people."

Even if a ceasefire deal is reached, the US and the rest of the international community must insist that Hamas be totally disarmed and removed from power. Hamas, unfortunately, really needs to be obliterated, and its leaders put on trial for committing war crimes against Israel and their own people.

Wars And Rumors of Wars: The U.S., Venezuela, Israel, Iran, Russia and China Make Moves as the Pivotal Month of September Approaches

September is shaping up to be such a pivotal month, and right now major powers all over the globe are positioning themselves for what is to come. Just when we thought that global peace may be breaking out, it appears that a lot more war is on the horizon. In fact, I just added yet another potential military conflict to the list of stuff that I am going to talk about in this article. Ominously, the signs that things could really start breaking loose next month just continue to pile up.

Let me start with the “standoff” between the United States and Venezuela. The following comes from a Time Magazine article entitled “4,000 Troops and 4,500,000 Militiamen: What to Know About the U.S.-Venezuela Standoff”…

The U.S. and Venezuela appear to be heading towards a standoff with neither country indicating a willingness to back down.

The Venezuelan government on Monday mobilized more than four million militia troops seemingly in response to reports of U.S. naval movements in the region.

President Trump and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro really do not like one another.

This goes all the way back to the early days of Trump’s first term in office.

But would Trump really be willing to go to war with Venezuela?

Let’s hope not, but this week three U.S. Navy missile destroyers and approximately 4,000 U.S. military personnel were deployed “to the edge of Venezuela’s territorial waters”…

On Monday, the U.S. government ordered three U.S. Navy missile destroyers—USS Gravely, USS Jason Dunham and USS Sampson—and around 4,000 military personnel to the edge of Venezuela’s territorial waters, according to Reuters. The Administration confirmed to CNN last week that it had ordered naval movements as part of an effort to stymie drug trafficking.

The Trump Administration is also committing additional military assets in the broader region within international airspace and waters, including several P-8 spy planes, warships, and an attack submarine, an official told Reuters.

Personally, I think that it is likely that we will see U.S. military action in Mexico before we see it in Venezuela.

According to Ken Klippenstein, “lethal strikes against cartel targets inside Mexico” are being prepared, and we are looking at a potential timeframe of “mid-September”…

The Trump administration has directed the military to prepare for lethal strikes against cartel targets inside Mexico, three military sources tell us. The Top Secret planning order, issued in late Spring, directs Northern Command (NORTHCOM) to manage the attacks, which are to be ready by mid-September.

Though U.S.-Mexico military relations are broad and cooperative, any military action south of the border is considered extremely sensitive for both Washington and the Mexican federal government and is rarely discussed in public.

“Not only is Donald Trump uniquely focused on TCOs [transnational criminal organizations, the official name for cartels], having designated them terrorists in one of his first Executive Orders, but he has shown himself to be willing to take unilateral action despite potentially negative political ramifications,” says one senior intelligence official. He and the other sources say that military action could be unilateral — that is, without the involvement or approval of the Mexican government.

The Mexican government has already told the Trump administration that it will not sanction such attacks.

So we would be conducting military attacks on Mexican soil without their permission.

That is an act of war.

Meanwhile, the IDF is preparing to launch a major military operation in Gaza…

Israel’s military is moving forward with plans to take over Gaza City, officials said Wednesday, even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu weighs a Hamas cease-fire proposal that would anger hard-liners in his government but, potentially, ensure the safe release of some hostages.

Troops had reached the city’s outskirts and tents were being moved into southern Gaza for people who would be displaced from their homes once the operation begins, an Israeli military official who requested anonymity in line with military protocol, said at a briefing for journalists.

According to the Times of Israel, approximately 60,000 reservists are being called up, and most of them will be reporting for duty on September 2nd…

Some 60,000 Israeli reservists were set to receive call-up orders that the military will issue starting Wednesday for an offensive against Hamas in Gaza City, after Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the army’s plans, according to the Israel Defense Forces and security officials.

The orders were not immediate, but rather were slated to take place in several waves. The majority — around 40,000-50,000 — would be ordered to show up for duty on September 2.

There it is again.

We keep seeing references to the month of September over and over again.

Why is that?

Of course we could see the conflict between Israel and Iran flare up again very soon as well.

In fact, a top Iranian official just publicly stated that Iran is “not in a ceasefire, we are in a stage of war”…

“We are not in a ceasefire, we are in a stage of war,” Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior military adviser to Iran’s Supreme LeaderAli Khamenei, told Iranian media. “I think another war may happen, and after that, there may be no more wars.”

Uh, what did he mean when he said “after that, there may be no more wars”?

Can someone please ask him to clarify that?

Iran may have taken a beating during the 12 day conflict that we witnessed in June, but they are certainly not backing down.

In fact, the Iranians are warning us that they have just developed brand new missiles with even greater capabilities…

Iran warned on Wednesday that it was prepared for any new Israeli attack, announcing it had developed missiles with greater capabilities than those used during the recent war.

“The missiles used in the 12-day war were manufactured… a few years ago,” Defense Minister Aziz Nassirzadeh said, quoted by the official IRNA news agency.

“Today, we have manufactured and possess missiles with far greater capabilities than previous missiles, and if the Zionist enemy embarks on the adventure again, we will undoubtedly use them.”

Will the Iranians show these missiles off during the missile drills that begin on Thursday?…

Iran is set to begin a two-day missile drill on Thursday in the northern Indian Ocean and Sea of Oman, signaling military strength after June’s 12-day war with Israel and the United States.

The exercise will include missile launches and drone and electronic warfare operations, underlining Tehran’s determination to demonstrate readiness for any new phase of confrontation.

Let me switch gears and talk about the conflict in Ukraine.

We have just learned that a total of 1.7 million Ukrainians have lost their lives up to this point in the war…

“The digital records from the Ukrainian General Staff show staggering numbers: over the course of three years, Ukraine’s military has lost 1.7 million personnel. The breakdown includes 118,500 deaths in 2022, 405,400 in 2023, 595,000 in 2024, and a record 621,000 in 2025.

This data was obtained through a large-scale hack of the computers and local network of the General Staff’s employees by hacking groups including Killnet, Palach Pro, User Sec, and Beregini. The cyberattack utilized a malware known as ‘Nuance’, which is designed to function only within Ukraine’s borders. This malicious software infects victims’ devices, downloads sensitive information, and locks the devices, rendering them unrecoverable.”

An entire generation of Ukrainian men is being wiped out.

This war needs to stop.

Unfortunately, officials in Moscow are playing down talk that there could be a bilateral summit between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine any time soon…

The Kremlin has played down talk of an imminent summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, as Donald Trump renewed his call for the two leaders to meet to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.

The push for a bilateral meeting comes after the US president met Putin in Alaska last week, and welcomed seven European leaders and Zelensky to the White House on Monday.

Needless to say, the Trump administration is not going to wait around for something to happen indefinitely.

Even now, war hawks such as U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham are salivating at the prospect of slapping harsh new sanctions on Russia…

Graham, who chairs the Senate Budget Committee, spoke with Trump Tuesday morning, and has for months been pushing a major bipartisan sanctions bill targeting Moscow – which if passed would impose heavy tariffs on countries that help fund Russia’s military in Ukraine by purchasing its oil, gas, uranium, and other exports.

Trump has yet to endorse it, leaving time for breakthrough negotiations toward final peace settlement, though it reportedly has the support of 85 senators at this point.

“If we don’t have this thing moving in the right direction by the time we get back, then I think that plan B needs to kick in,” Graham told The Associated Press.

Pressure continues building on the Republican president: “Trump believes that if Putin doesn’t do his part, that he’s going to have to crush his economy. Because you’ve got to mean what you say,” Graham said.

We have one last chance for peace with the Russians.

We must not blow it.

And we need to be very careful with China too.

This week, the Chinese are very upset that Taiwanese soldiers just participated in military training exercises here in the United States…

United States-Taiwan military cooperation raises the risk of a Taiwan Strait conflict, the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., told Newsweek.

The warning was in response to reports that hundreds of Taiwanese troops joined an annual National Guard exercise that ended on Saturday, as part of Taipei’s efforts to prepare for a potential Chinese invasion.

I know that I went through a lot of stuff very rapidly in this article.

The bottom line is that we really are living in a period of history when there is endless talk of wars and rumors of wars.

Decisions that are being made right now could dramatically alter the course of human history, and it appears that the month of September is likely to be a time when global events really start to accelerate in a major way.

Laugh All You Want; The Rapture Is Not Escapism or Fantasy… It’s Biblical

Let’s start with the obvious: the Rapture sounds crazy. Jesus descends from Heaven, dead people rise from their graves, and living believers are suddenly caught up into the sky—like the world’s strangest episode of “Stranger Things.” Sounds like the stuff your uncle mutters about after three cups of church coffee. Except—it’s right there in Scripture. Paul says it. John says it. Jesus says it. The only ones who don’t are usually the skeptics writing editorials dismissing the very faith that gives us hope.

Opposing Views on the Rapture

Now, critics like to pounce: “But the word Rapture isn’t even in the Bible!” Congratulations, Sherlock. Neither are the words Trinity or even Bible. And yet, here we are, still believing in all three. The word comes from the Latin rapturus, which translates the Greek word harpazo—meaning “to snatch up, grab by force.” Imagine a parent reaching out and pulling their child away from danger just in time. That’s the picture Scripture gives us of the Rapture.

Some say, “Oh, the Rapture is just a modern invention, some 19th-century gimmick.” Nonsense. Yes, J.N. Darby helped popularize it in more recent times, but long before him, the early Church Fathers like Irenaeus and Cyprian wrote about believers being “snatched up” before judgment. It’s not new—it’s biblical. We also hear about the Rapture straight from Paul, Peter, James, and most importantly, Jesus Himself: “I will come again and receive you to myself.”

The most familiar passage on the Rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together (Greek word: harpazo, meaning ‘snatched up’) with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

And if that sounds far-fetched, remember Enoch—who literally walked off the face of the earth into God’s presence—and Elijah, who rode to Heaven in a fiery chariot. The prototypes are already in the Old Testament.

Why This Matters

Here’s why this isn’t just a fun theological parlor game: the Rapture gives hope. Paul calls it the “blessed hope.” When you’ve buried a loved one, you don’t need vague talk about them being “in a better place.” You need the solid promise that in one split second, you’ll be with them again. Parents reunited with children. Husbands with wives. Brothers and sisters together again. And at the center of it all—Jesus Christ Himself.

And it does more than comfort grief. It motivates godliness. If you really believe Jesus could return at any moment, maybe don’t binge sin like it’s Netflix. You wouldn’t invite your best friend into a house piled with dirty laundry and Taco Bell wrappers. Don’t greet your Savior that way either. You want to be ready—walking with Him, keeping your spiritual house in order.

Of course, there’s always the circus clowns with their calendars: “88 Reasons Jesus Will Return in 1988!” They were wrong, just like every other date-setter before or since. Jesus made it pretty clear: “No one knows the day or the hour.” Which, funnily enough, includes you, me, and that guy on YouTube with the chart and the whiteboard. The Rapture isn’t about prediction—it’s about preparation.

The Takeaway

So, what do we do with all this? We wake up. We stay alert. We stop living like the world is a Vegas buffet that never closes. Paul said: “The night is almost gone, the day of salvation is soon here.” Translation: time is short. Knock it off. If you’re a believer, live clean, live holy, live hopeful. If you’re not—well, get right or get left.

Because one day, maybe in our lifetime, maybe tonight—in a blink, in the twinkling of an eye—everything changes. Loved ones raised. The Church caught up. Judgment delayed until after the Bride has been rescued.

It’s not escapism. It’s not fantasy. As C.S. Lewis reminded us, looking forward to the eternal world is one of the things a Christian is meant to do.

So, laugh if you want. Roll your eyes. Write your snarky post. But when it happens—when the shout comes, when the trumpet blows—mockery won’t matter. Only hope will.

Beneath the surface of public health messaging lies a quiet war between truth and corporate interest, most visible in the COVID-19 vaccine saga. Confidential Pfizer reports to the FDA reveal tens of thousands of adverse events—including pregnancy complications, heart conditions, and fatalities—kept from public view while officials repeated the “safe and effective” mantra. Pfizer and the FDA even sought 75 years to fully release the data. This struggle, which continues today in fights over vaccine ingredients and their impact on children, is not merely about health policy. When companies with billions at stake dominate the conversation and pocket government regulators under their influence, the public has no one to trust.

A recent Pfizer-funded study admitted that older COVID-19 vaccines “offered little, if any, additional protection compared to the unvaccinated,” even against hospital admission. Yet the same paper praised the company’s new formula as significantly more effective. This is a recurring pattern in the pharmaceutical industry—when one product nears the end of its patent life or public favor, the next “solution” emerges, backed by glowing studies funded by the very company selling it. Who writes the checks often shapes the conclusions, and dissenting scientists risk career ruin. The integrity of science suffers when research is not an impartial search for truth, but a marketing tool in a lab coat. Without transparency and independent oversight, “follow the science” becomes less about facts and more about following the money.

From the start of the pandemic, dissenting voices—doctors, researchers, even vaccine-injured patients—were censored, de-platformed, or labeled as spreading “misinformation.” Meanwhile, government agencies and pharmaceutical companies coordinated messaging to maintain public confidence, even when internal data raised red flags. This gaslighting destroyed careers, medical licenses were threatened, and public opinion weaponized to ostracize those who questioned the narrative. When a population is told to “trust the experts” while evidence is suppressed, they are being managed at the expense of their health and well being. In such an environment, informed consent becomes an illusion, replaced by compliance born out of fear and coercion.

Recently, there are signs of a shift. State-level leaders like Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo have challenged the FDA on its vaccine safety oversight, exposing that the agency failed to follow its own 2007 guidelines for DNA integration safety checks. The Department of Health and Human Services has canceled dozens of mRNA vaccine development contracts, suggesting a reevaluation of policy priorities. Congressional inquiries, independent journalism, and court-ordered document releases are slowly forcing accountability. This is the beginning—not the end—of holding Big Pharma and the government to the same standard of truth they demand from the public. Proverbs 12:19 says, “The lip of truth shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” In medicine as in life, only the truth can heal.

Several years ago, my wife and I rode the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disneyland. If you’ve never been on it, it’s an elevator that drops very quickly. And that’s a scary sensation for a lot of people. Afterward, you can buy a picture of yourself taken during one of the drops. I usually don’t buy amusement park photos, but I was tempted that time because I loved the reaction of my wife in the photo. She had a look of terror on her face; I, on the other hand, was smiling. It just goes to show that people will pay money to be frightened.

Unfortunately, not all frightening things are funny. The devil knows that. And he uses fear as part of his battlefield strategy. He hits us where and when we’re most vulnerable. He exploits our anxiety. He plays on our fears of failure, something happening to a loved one, financial troubles, and anything else that might rattle us. His aim is to isolate us in our fears, to separate us from the spiritual protection of our heavenly Father.

The apostle Paul wrote, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38–39 NLT). Add anything else you want to the list. It won’t change the reality. You’ll notice that “angels,” “demons,” and “the powers of hell” are conspicuously mentioned. Paul’s point is clear: The devil is unable to separate us from God. So, we must not allow him to convince us otherwise. We must not give in to fear.

Fear can blind us temporarily to the truth. If it gets a toehold in our thoughts, we might start to imagine ourselves as being distant from God and perhaps even beyond His reach. That’s why it’s important to remind ourselves that every spiritual battle—including the battle against fear—is God’s, and not ours.

Before David loaded the stone into his sling, he warned Goliath, “This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” (1 Samuel 17:47 NLT). David was calm where other warriors had panicked because he knew who was really doing the fighting.

In Ephesians 6, Paul discusses spiritual warfare. But before he mentions the helmet of salvation or the breastplate of righteousness or the sword of the Spirit, he says this: “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power” (verse 10 NLT).

We cannot win spiritual battles if we rely on our own strength. And we cannot lose spiritual battles if we rely on the power of God.
