Prophecy Update: It’s The Truth

I was at a restaurant that I frequented often.
The waitress was the wife of a fellow pastor and a friend of mine.
I finished my meal and took my bill to the cash register to pay up.
Another friend came up behind me and asked, “How are you doing?”
I replied, “Better than I deserve.”
My waitress friend who was at the cash register to check me out, said, “And he’s telling the truth too.”
I have chuckled about that many times, and I often think about it when someone asks me that question.
Christians know that we don’t deserve:
To be loved by God.
To hear the Word of God.
To have our sins forgiven and go to heaven.
To be saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
To approach God in prayer and to have our prayers answered.
To get a new body that will never get sick or die again.
To see our deceased saved loved ones again.
To have freedom of worship.
To be rewarded in heaven for serving God, etc., etc., etc.
Christians know that our good works won’t get us into heaven (Titus 3:5).
Christians know that God has provided a way for us to get to heaven, and there is just one way (Jn. 14:6).
This is my point: My waitress friend was kidding me, but she was right on target.
Every Christian is doing better than he/she deserves, and it’s the truth too.
Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that the Rapture is close:
One, following his meetings with Russia’s Pres. Putin in Alaska (on Aug. 15, 2025), and Ukraine’s Pres. Zelensky and others at the White House (on Aug. 18, 2025), Pres. Trump had a phone interview on “Fox and Friends” (on Aug. 19, 2025).
Trump is getting a lot of criticism for saying:
Ending the war could save 7,000 people a week from being killed.
I want to try and get to Heaven if possible.
I’m hearing I’m not doing well.
I hear I’m really at the bottom of the totem pole.
But if I can get to Heaven, this (his role in ending the war) will be one of the reasons.
Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matt. 5:9).
I do not believe for one minute that Pres. Trump will go to heaven for trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, but I do believe that peacemaking could be evidence of his salvation.
I am glad that he wants to get to heaven.
I wish that everyone wanted to get to heaven.
It would be a better world if they did.
I know this: following my acceptance of Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was a baby Christian who needed to do a lot of growing (and I still do), and I’m telling the truth too.
Update:
On Aug. 20, 2025 Franklin Graham posted the following:
President [Trump] brought up the topic of Heaven on Fox News yesterday morning, and I’m glad he did because many people struggle with the question of how we can get there.
We do get to Heaven by good works — not by our own good works, but by the perfect work of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, when He came to earth, took our sins to the cross, shed His blood, died, was buried, and God raised Him to life on the third day.
We all have the promise of eternal life if we repent of our sins, trust Him by faith, and make Him the Lord of our lives.
Two, in an opinion piece on Aug. 14, 2025, Joshua Katzen, publisher of the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) said:
Hamas is not an isolated band of terrorists with its own unique ideology; separate from the people it claims to represent.
Hamas is the Palestinian people.
It is an accurate reflection of Palestinian culture, politics and goals as they have been taught, embraced, and passed down for generations.
It is the armed expression of Palestinian society itself—a society steeped in Jew-hatred, committed to Israel’s destruction and willing to sacrifice its own children for that cause.
Poll after poll by Palestinian research firms shows overwhelming support for Hamas’s goals and methods across Palestinian society.
The supposedly moderate Palestinian Authority teaches the same messages as Hamas: that Jews are sons of apes and pigs, that Israel has no right to exist, and that killing Jews is a religious duty.
If Palestinian society is the problem, there are only two paths to lasting peace: Change that society or remove it.
This is the way I understand it: creating a Palestinian State will not change the Islamic belief that killing Jews is the religious duty of Muslims.
Radical Muslims will try to establish a global Islamic caliphate as long as there are radical Muslims.
And that’s the truth too.
Three, concerning an end to the Israel-Hamas war, on Aug. 14, 2025, Prime Min Netanyhu expanded on Israel’s requirements.
Netanyahu said:
The war will only end once no weapons are manufactured in Gaza and no weapons are smuggled into Gaza.
The new Gaza government—not to be run by Hamas or the Palestinian Authority—will be handled by people who don’t educate their children to terror, will not fund terrorism, and won’t dispatch terrorists.
Israel’s Finance Min. called these very correct and just principles.
Four, on Aug. 14, 2025, it was reported that Israel is planning to call up 80-100,000 reservists for a massive ground offensive to capture Gaza City (Update: He called up 60,000 and extended the service of 20,000).
On Aug. 15, 2025, it was reported that Israel plans to evacuate about one million people from Gaza City before its troops attack. As I understand it, the plan is to evacuate the people, encircle the city, and start attacking Hamas in early Sept.
On Aug. 17, 2025, Israel’s Army Radio said, the plan is to besiege Gaza City, with the aim of gaining control of it by Oct. 7, two years to the day from the devastating Hamas attack that sparked the war.
On Aug. 18, 2025, Hamas proposed a ceasefire of 60 days in exchange for the release of hostages in two stages. Israeli sources reiterated earlier statements that the government demands the release of all 50 living and dead hostages.
At 4:02 am on Aug 19, 2025, it was reported that Israeli tanks were advancing on one area of Gaza City.
On Aug. 19, 2025, Israel notified all the hospital officials in Gaza City to prepare to move their equipment and patients out of the city.
On Aug. 20, 2025, Prime Min. Netanyahu instructed his military to shorten the timelines for taking control of the last terrorist strongholds and for the defeat of Hamas.
(My opinion: The Hamas effort to destroy Israel and prevent the rebuilding of the Temple is not turning out the way they expected.)
Five, concerning God’s promise to bless those that bless Israel and curse those that curse Israel: on Aug. 13, 2025, Democratic Socialists of America voted to expel members who support Israeli self-defense.
On Aug. 14, 2025, Pete Buttigieg (former U.S. transportation secretary and possible candidate for the Democrat party’s nomination for Pres. In 2028) said he supports an arms embargo on the Jewish state.
On Aug. 15, 2025, it was reported that the Democrat Party’s National Committee is scheduled to vote (on Aug. 26, 2025) on two resolutions that have been introduced.
One calls for the Democrat Party to support an arms embargo on Israel and for members of Congress to recognize Palestine as a state. It totally ignores the facts that Hamas attacked Israel, killed hundreds of Jews, is holding hostages, etc.
The other supports a credible, negotiated pathway toward a two-state solution that ensures equal measures of dignity, freedom and opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians alike, and it opposes any unilateral steps by either side that undermine the prospects for two states.
(My opinion: The Democrats are divided over these things, but the party is becoming more radical, and it is dangerous for America. What the nations try to do to Israel, God will do to them. He will drag them into the Battle of Armageddon for dividing His land and scattering the Jews.)
(More: On Aug. 15, 2025, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said, “If America pulls the plug on Israel, God will pull the plug on us.”)
Six, concerning false religion, persecution, wars and rumors of wars, etc. at the end of the age: on Aug. 17, 2025, it was reported that the son of a Hamas co-founder said:
He was taught from childhood that Jews must be killed, Christians eliminated, and “infidels” subjugated.
The purpose of Hamas’ attack on Israel is to replace Judaism and Christianity with radical Islam. If the world does not understand this, everyone will pay the price.
Hamas is a death cult. It does not seek compromise. It seeks annihilation.
Hamas’ murder of 1,200 people on Oct. 7, 2023, was 1,200 war crimes.
If Hamas and its allies succeed, it will not end with the Jews. Christians and all free peoples are next.
(My comment: These are the words of a former Hamas insider who was raised and indoctrinated in Islam. He was risking his life when he said these things. But it is the truth, and non-Muslims should believe it.)
(My comment: God loves the Muslims. Jesus died for them too. He wants them to be saved. But He will not allow them to destroy Israel or to ultimately prevail against the Church.)
Seven, concerning perilous times at the end of the age: during Iran’s 12-Day War with Israel, Iran launched about 550 missiles at Israel.
On Aug. 17, 2025, an Iranian official said:
Iran’s military is able to carry out missile strikes on every city in Europe, as well as major American cities on the East Coast.
We can move our ships to within 2,000 kilometers of the US and from there target Washington, New York, and other cities.
Right now, all European countries are within our range.
This is the point: The U.S. and EU desperately stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and it’s the truth too.
(FYI: Many Bible prophecy teachers believe the Bible teaches that nuclear weapons will be used during the Tribulation Period; Zech. 14:12; Rev. 6:14-17).
Eight, concerning the Holy Spirit drawing Jews back to the land of Israel at the end of the age: on Aug. 20, 2025, 225 Jews immigrated from the U.S. to Israel.
They said they weren’t motivated to flee from North America; they were motivated to move to Israel.
Moving to Israel in the midst of a war sends a strong message about God’s influence over their lives.
Nine, concerning the controversy over Jerusalem, the expansion of Israel’s borders and Jews living in Judea when the Antichrist defiles the Temple at the Middle of the Tribulation Period, in response to France, Canada, Australia and dozens of other nations announcing their intent to recognize a Palestinian State: on Sept. 22-23, 2025, Israel has approved plans to build 3401 housing units in a disputed area near East Jerusalem.
World leaders and Muslims are having a hissy fit, but Israel’s Finance Min. said Israel cannot trade its survival for international applause.
Israel has moved to protect East Jerusalem with Jewish neighborhoods before the area is populated with Muslims demanding a capital in East Jerusalem.
Ten, concerning America’s 37 trillion-dollar national debt and a future global economic collapse during the Tribulation Period: on Aug. 20, 2025, it was reported that the Trump administration has:
Removed 275,000 illegal aliens from the Social Security system.
Removed 12.4 million names of people recorded as over 120 years old.
Eleven, concerning Israel becoming a great military at the end of the age: it was reported that Israel has 4 refueling airplanes, and they are preparing to sign an agreement to purchase 2 more.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
Israel Approves New Settlement in Judea and Samaria, Hammering Another Nail in the Coffin of a ‘Two-State Solution’

The Israeli government on Wednesday approved construction in an open tract of land east of Jerusalem, angering proponents of the two-state solution who argue the development would cut a potential Palestinian state in two. For decades, Israel left the area undeveloped due to international pressure. But increasingly anti-Semitic attitudes from nearly every nation but the U.S. convinced the world’s only majority-Jewish state that now was the time to act.
The planned settlement project would construct some 3,400 housing units in a zone label “E1,” short for “East One,” which lies east of Jerusalem, between the Israeli capital and the existing settlement of Ma’ale Adumim. Construction could begin within a year. The plan was approved by the Higher Planning Committee of the Civil Administration, a department of Israel’s Defense Ministry.
Israeli plans for an E1 settlement have been postponed for decades due to pressure from international proponents of a two-state solution. The settlement’s location would sever the most direct link between the Palestinian enclaves of Ramallah and Bethlehem, thus making any Palestinian state carved around feel disjointed and unnatural. This international pressure has come not only from Israel’s adversaries, but even from the U.S. under former administrations.
Unsurprisingly then, Israel’s approval of the plan generated widespread international criticism:
The Palestinian Authority complained that the E1 settlement “fragments … geographic and demographic unity, entrenching the division of the occupied West Bank into isolated areas and cantons that are disconnected from one another, turning them into something akin to real prisons.”
N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric condemned the plan because it “will drive a stake through the heart of the two-state solution.”
In a statement, 21 foreign secretaries (from Canada, Japan, and 19 European nations) also warned, “if implemented, it would divide a Palestinian state in two, mark a flagrant breach of international law, and critically undermine the two-state solution.”
The U.K. separately summoned Israeli Ambassador Tzipi Hotovely to register its disapproval.
For Israel, undermining a potential “two-state solution” is precisely the point. “The Palestinian state is being erased from the table not with slogans but with actions,” Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich declared. “Every settlement, every neighborhood, every housing unit is another nail in the coffin of this dangerous idea.” Smotrich oversees settlement policy and hopes to double the settler population in Judea and Samaria. The Israeli Security Cabinet previously approved 22 other settlements in May.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also endorses the same end goal. “I said 25 years ago that we will do everything to secure our grip on the Land of Israel, to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, to prevent the attempts to uproot us from here. Thank God, what I promised, we have delivered,” he said Sunday.
Of course, the original “two-state solution” occurred after World War II, when Great Britain divided the Mandate of Palestine into what became the Kingdom of Jordan and the state of Israel. But Arabs living in the Jewish portion, supported at first by the entire Arab world, raised such a stink that international powers contemplated carving another state out of Israel’s portion, to give to the people now called “Palestinians.”
From 2006 to 2023, the Gaza Strip provided the world with a pilot project of what a potential third Palestinian state would like: brutal control by radical jihadists, who oppressed the people and simply used the land to inflict war and terror upon Israel. Hamas’s massacre on October 7 convinced the Israelis that they must never allow the creation of another terrorist-run Palestinian state. Apparently, the same crisis convinced the rest of the world to create a much larger, terrorist-run Palestinian state.
The Trump administration is the notable exception to this “rest of the world.” While Israel’s former allies like Australia and the U.K. have abandoned her to recognize a non-existent Palestinian state, the Trump administration is the friendliest Israel has seen this century. Under President Trump, the U.S. State Department has adopted — or rather restored — the historical terminology “Judea and Samaria” for the land that more recently acquired the name “West Bank.” When a press officer objected to this terminology, he was fired.
The Trump administration’s friendlier posture includes greater acceptance for Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria. When asked about E1’s approval in an interview, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee answered that a two-state solution was not a “high priority” for the administration.
From these various reactions to Israel’s approval of a settlement in E1, two premises become clear. First, both Israel and its global adversaries view this tract of land as an essential link between Palestinian enclaves, which would be necessary to the contiguity and coherence of any future Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria. Second, Israel controls this tract of land so thoroughly that it can build infrastructure on it, while its critics can only complain. These premises lead to the conclusion: the creation of any future Palestinian state would involve taking land currently controlled by Israel and giving it to the Palestinian Authority (PA), which sponsors terrorism against Israel. Such a state would be like Hamas-controlled Gaza from 2006-2023, except bigger.
This reasoning does not only apply to the plot of land designated “E1,” but to nearly the entirety of Judea and Samaria. Israel holds total control over the entire region, except for a number of disconnected enclaves, where about three million Palestinians live. Even in these enclaves, which Israel allows to govern themselves under loose administration by the PA, Israeli security forces regularly enter to track down terrorists. Israeli checkpoints monitor traffic on the major highways.
The point is, Israel is the state that exercises sovereign control over Judea and Samaria. International naysayers have no right to tell it how to develop or not develop any piece of real estate in the area. They certainly have no right to base such restrictions on the remote possibility that a hypothetical, future state will be created in the region, which would necessarily entail taking territory from Israel.
There is no quicker way to explode the mythology of a two-state solution than for Israelis to build communities and live in the biblical heartland they control. Israel knows it, and their international adversaries know it. Now, Israel is taking action, and no other nation has the authority to stop them.

Has He Gone Completely Insane? Zelensky Announces That There Is Not Going to Be Peace

If you listen long enough, people will eventually tell you exactly what they truly believe. Unfortunately, we have just learned what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky truly believes about the war with Russia, and it is not good news at all. Apparently Zelensky is convinced that there will not be a permanent state of peace until all of Donetsk, all of Luhansk and all of Crimea belong to his government. Needless to say, the Russians will never hand all of Donetsk, all of Luhansk and all of Crimea over to Ukraine willingly, and so they will need to be taken by force. Since the Ukrainians cannot do this alone, they will be seeking to enlist the help of others, and that is what should deeply alarm all of us.
The mainstream media’s fawning coverage of Zelensky’s Independence Day speech makes him sounds like some sort of a great peacemaker. Here is just one example…
President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine would continue to fight for its freedom “while its calls for peace are not heard,” in a defiant address to the nation on its independence day.
“We need a just peace, a peace where our future will be decided only by us,” he said, adding that Ukraine was “not a victim, it is a fighter”.
He continued: “Ukraine has not yet won, but it has certainly not lost.”
That makes him sound so incredibly reasonable.
But the mainstream media did not report on any of the troubling parts of Zelensky’s speech.
I went and found a transcript of the speech, and it reveals Zelensky’s real goals…
And now, in a full-scale war for independence, it is here, on Maidan, that one can find such important symbols. Symbols of how we fight, what we fight for, and how we are overcoming this war.
These symbols are all around us. In this Independence Monument. Inside, it has a reinforced concrete frame and can literally withstand a hurricane. In the same way, our Ukraine has withstood the great calamity that Russia brought to our land. In this “Zero Kilometer” point. It is the starting point where distances to Ukrainian cities are written: to our Donetsk, our Luhansk, our Crimea. Today, these markers have a completely different meaning. They are no longer just about kilometers. They remind us that all of this is Ukraine. And there are our people, and no distance between us can change that, and no temporary occupation can change that. One day, the distance between Ukrainians will disappear, and we will be together again as one family, as one country. It is only a matter of time. And Ukraine believes it can achieve this — achieve peace, peace across all its land. Ukraine is capable of it.
This is what started the war in the first place.
Western leaders gave Zelensky a green light to break the Minsk agreements, and so he gathered a 70,000 soldier invasion force along the borders of the DPR and the LPR. The Ukrainians were shelling the living daylights out of the most heavily populated cities in the DPR and the LPR and were preparing to move in when the Russians intervened.
Zelensky’s obsession with conquering Donetsk and Luhansk precipitated this entire crisis, and now 1.7 million Ukrainians are dead.
But instead of being willing to accept the compromise deal that the Russians are now offering, in his speech Zelensky defiantly proclaimed that Ukraine will never accept any “compromise” that comes from the Russians…
This is Ukraine now. And this Ukraine will never again in history be forced into the shame that the “Russians” call a “compromise.”
Yes, Zelensky is calling for a temporary ceasefire along the current line of contact, because Ukraine has been steadily losing more territory.
But in Zelensky’s mind the purpose of such a ceasefire would be to regroup and rearm in preparation for taking all of Donetsk, all of Luhansk and all of Crimea.
That is why Ukraine’s plan is to bring as many western troops into Ukraine once a temporary ceasefire has been established.
Once they are there, it will be far easier to drag western nations into the war.
The Ukrainians aren’t stupid. They have already lost 1.7 million soldiers and they know that the only way that they can militarily defeat Russia is with NATO’s help.
And so that is why Ukraine has been attempting to provoke Russia into doing something really dramatic over and over again. The goal is to get the Russians to escalate matters so much that NATO will feel forced to come riding to Ukraine’s aid.
For instance, the Ukrainians just attacked a nuclear power plant deep inside Russian territory…
A fire has been put out at a nuclear power plant in Russia’s western Kursk region and air defences have shot down a Ukrainian drone, Russian officials have said.
The drone detonated when it fell and damaged a transformer, but radiation levels were normal and there were no casualties, a post from the plant’s account on messaging app Telegram said.
The United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has repeatedly called on both Russia and Ukraine to show maximum restraint around nuclear facilities in the war.
Why would the Ukrainians do such a thing?
The answer is obvious.
They want the Russians to strike back so hard that western leaders will finally feel compelled to join the conflict.
At one point the stunts that the Ukrainians have been pulling almost worked. There were plans to strike decision making centers in Kyiv with Oreshnik missiles, but Russian President Vladimir Putin wisely vetoed those plans…
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday told reporters in an anecdote given to a press conference that Russian authorities had plans to directly attack Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office in Kiev, but that President Putin rejected the proposed action.
What’s more, Lukashenko said, is that it would have happened with the new Oreshnik missiles, which are medium-range hypersonics that Russian officials have touted as having the same destructive power as a low-yield nuclear strike.
But it is just a matter of time before the Ukrainians successfully push the Russians too far.
When that time arrives, we could find ourselves directly fighting a nation that has more nukes than we do…
Moscow continues to hold nearly 4,400 nuclear warheads, over 1,500 of which are “strategically deployed” while the U.S. possesses more than 3,700 warheads in its stockpiles with 1,400 deployed, according to the Arms Control Association.
And as I have extensively documented, Russian missiles are far superior to what we possess, and Russian anti-missile systems are far superior to what we possess as well.
We must not get into an apocalyptic conflict with the Russians.
But if the Ukrainians get their way, that is precisely what is going to happen.
Meanwhile, it appears that there will be no peace in the Middle East either.
On Sunday, the IDF conducted an enormous bombing campaign in the capital of Yemen…
Israel bombed Houthi rebel targets in Yemen’s capital on Sunday, including a military site near the presidential palace.
The attacks by the IDF, which also included strikes on the Asar and Hizaz power plants, came after the Houthis fired a “multi-headed” warhead at Israel for the first time on Friday.
The use of the munition presents a new challenge for the Israeli defence system, which up until now has successfully repelled most of the Houthis’ attacks.
Sunday’s attacks sent huge fireballs into the sky over Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, as the IDF said it had struck a “significant electricity supply facility for military activities” for the Houthis.
And it is being reported that a “defining battle” between Israeli troops and Hamas is imminent…
On Saturday, Israeli tanks and troops began maneuvering ever closer to Gaza City’s outskirts in preparation for a full-scale offensive. Eyewitness accounts reported intensified shelling as Israel is moving toward what could be the defining battle of its war against Hamas terrorists: the capture of Gaza City.
Israel’s security cabinet approved the operation, known as Gideon’s Chariots B, and has deployed up to five IDF divisions toward the city’s outskirts—a highly significant mobilization. Thousands of reservists—some 60,000—have been called up.
John Spencer, chair of urban warfare studies at the Madison Policy Forum and executive director of the Urban Warfare Institute, told Fox News Digital the scale of this operation is unprecedented. “This will be a bigger challenge than anything the IDF has faced, arguably ever. It is the densest location in Gaza, the heart of Hamas’s stronghold. And you don’t really know what the tunnels are until you get into them.”
If Hamas would have just released all of the hostages, so much bloodshed could have been avoided.
But that never was going to happen, was it?
Unfortunately, just about everyone seems to have come down with a really bad case of “war fever”.
Leaders all over the planet want to fight, and so that is what they will get.
AI, Delusion, and the Lie

One arena of development in the swift movement toward the Tribulation era is the technology that’s exploding all around us. There is just no way to keep up with it. Most indicative of this is the matter of artificial intelligence (AI).
We are hearing more and more stories about how AI is affecting life. It’s in the process of taking over to the extent that even its developers worry that it might soon slip from becoming not a helper to humanity, but rather a master ruling over it.
We see changes in daily internet use reflecting AI’s burgeoning influence. For example, when we launch a Google search, we now receive notice that AI was instrumental in the search.
This, of course, is considered a great boon to our need for instant knowledge and its application to every facet of life. And, admittedly, I want instant gratification when I’m researching something for an article, book, or whatever else I’m doing at the moment.
However, the absolute evil of AI becomes unbearably troubling when considering how the diabolists of the world are using it.
For example, just this past week I heard a report of a teenage girl who is a Christian in the truest sense. She is active in her church and has been raised in what is said to be a wonderful Christian family.
The report I heard—I believe on the Sean Hannity radio program—was that someone had used AI to place the girl’s likeness on the body of someone engaged in sex with the father of the boy who produced the wicked video.
The girl and her parents were, of course, devastated as the video went viral.
This vile action is no doubt almost tame by comparison to how this technology will be used to perpetrate Antichrist’s great lie, as foretold in the following.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:8–12)
The entire Antichrist regime, following the Rapture of all believers in Christ, will be based upon a gargantuan lie. This lie will no doubt begin by convincing most of humanity to take the mark of Antichrist (Revelation 13:16–18).
Can we have any doubt that some form of AI will be used in causing all people to accept the 666 designation as a matter of worshiping the beast—or else being cut out of the system of buying and selling?
The result will not be Heaven on earth, but a horrendous system that probably even the fictional account in my novel Jacob’s Trouble 666, written several decades ago, couldn’t adequately capture. Please allow a brief look at a passage from that book:
Bright amber computer data flashed on the rectangular INterface screen when the old woman stepped beneath the Decodscanner.
“Look up!” commanded the stern woman across the counter, her black eyes leering from sockets surrounded by dark, sunken flesh.
The woman obeyed nervously, turning her puffy, age-creased face upward.

The checker herded a few canned grocery items onto the conveyor, then pressed a button located at waist level behind the counter.
Fumbling through her cracked vinyl purse, the older woman retrieved a tissue and applied it to her cold-infected nose.
“Look, lady! There are other citizens besides you in the PC,” the checker said icily. “Move along!”
Her eyes betraying fear, she gathered the sack into her arms, coughed into the tissue, and exited the Product Center under the suspicious glare of a black-uniformed controller.
An old man shuffled tentatively into the checkout lane, avoiding the gaze of the checker. His broad head was bowed as if he sought to hide beneath the upturned collar of the ragged gray coat he wore. “You got an IN, mister?” Her question cut the air in a tone of disgust.
“Yes… Yes… See here.” The man let his eyes meet hers fleetingly while he pulled back the sleeve on his right arm and moved his hand to a position beneath the countertop Decodscanner, activating an ultraviolet light which made visible a bar code tattooed on the back of his hand. At the same time, the number appeared on the INRU screen:

Looking at the screen, the checker pushed a button, and data was added to the display.

“You don’t have any drawing rights, Jew! Take these and put them back where they belong!”
The little man shrunk deeper into the oversized coat, although he made a meek protest. “Please… but madam… I…”
“Just get these things back on the shelves, Jew!” She shoved the items roughly at him, cursing beneath her breath. Her outburst drew the attention of others in the Product Center and caused the controller to stiffen to alertness from his position near the exit.
(This isn’t included here to urge the reader to get the novel, but to show how AI will almost certainly be advanced to a point that will control earth’s populations during the Tribulation. Amazon has the novel if you wish to get it.)
To get an idea of just how such a future awaits humankind when Antichrist is on the scene, we can look at the following news item that shows the developing technology that will one day be used to control:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reportedly intends on acquiring AI technology capable of scanning people’s eyes from several feet away.
According to 9NEWS, the agency issued a notice to purchase licenses for the iris recognition technology to aid in deportations and removals.
“The mobile software from BI2 Technologies can identify individuals from 10 to 15 feet away using a smartphone app, according to the the Massachusetts-based company. It then connects with a second product that includes a database,” 9NEWS wrote.

Everything we observe regarding Bible prophecy at the end of this Church Age seems to be already in place and/or developing quickly. Technology is the most rapidly advancing evidence of just how close we might be to Christ’s call to the Church.
AI must surely have been one of the things the angel was referring to when he told Daniel the prophet (Daniel 12) that knowledge will increase as the book is opened for those alive at the time to understand.
And, again, the Lord Jesus’ admonition must surely include the development of AI technology.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28)

In Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17, Moses sets before Israel the choice of blessing or curse. God gives this same charge later in Deuteronomy 30 and again commands—“Choose life!” The Hebrew word Re’eh is in the imperative form, meaning “you see!” The call is personal. Each person is responsible to see clearly and to make faithful choices that align with God’s will. Obedience isn’t just about grand acts of faith. It is often lived out in daily decisions, the little choices that shape our direction. Choosing life is both a responsibility and a blessing, for in following God’s way, we find provision, protection, and purpose. The Lord makes the options plain. The decision, however, rests with us. In all matters of life, our choices matter.
God then moves quickly into instruction: destroy the Canaanite religious centers, avoid idolatry, and offer sacrifices only in the place the Lord chooses. That place, He says, is where He will put His name. Ultimately, this was revealed to be Jerusalem and the Temple, the center of worship for Israel. God warns not to add or subtract from His word, and to be wary of false prophets who seek to lure people away from His truth. He also revisits dietary laws and introduces tithing, the Sabbatical year, and the pilgrimage festivals. These commands were designed not only to ensure worship, but also to sustain community life. In God’s economy, spiritual devotion and practical provision are always connected. Obedience secures both.
The tithing commands in Deuteronomy point to something deeper than obligation. There were actually two tithings of a tenth, one for the Levites and a tenth of produce and livestock for the tither to enjoy themselves in God’s presence during the festivals. Tithing ensured that those who ministered before God had provision, while also reminding Israel to rejoice in the Lord’s goodness. Though the original tithe was specific to the land of Israel, the practice of giving a tenth became a model for generosity. Abraham and Jacob tithed even before the Torah was given. Later, Jesus affirmed the principle of supporting teachers of the Word in Matthew 10:10, and Paul taught that elders who labor in the Word deserve support (1 Timothy 5:17-18). Giving, in God’s plan, was never just a duty—it was an act of worship.
Today, we’re not bound by the same agricultural laws of ancient Israel, but the heart of giving remains. We are called to give to our congregations, to the poor, and to those teaching the Word. A tithe is a good starting place, but true discipleship asks, “How much more can I give, and with joy?” The sages taught that giving with a joyful heart reflects trust in God’s provision. Generosity ensures the needs of all are met, strengthens community, and keeps our hearts aligned with God’s purposes. The call of Re’eh is clear: see what the Lord has set before you, choose life, and rejoice in giving. When we give joyfully, we walk in blessing, and our hearts are shaped by the goodness of God. As is written in Deuteronomy 16:17, “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which He has given you.”

Sometimes in spiritual battle the devil will tempt us with things we’ve never experienced before. Because they’re new to us, we may not understand fully the damage they can cause. In other words, our enemy exploits our inexperience.
Other times, the devil uses desires and impulses that are so familiar to us and such an integral part of who we are that—again—we may not understand fully the damage they can cause. In other words, our enemy exploits our blind spots.
Selfishness falls squarely into the second category. Think about the problems you deal with on a regular basis—the things that get you into trouble time and time again. How many of them stem from selfish desires? How many of the things that you struggle with have selfishness at their root? How often does the devil exploit your selfish impulses for his own gain?
James wrote, “What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them” (James 4:1–2 NLT). In other words, “You want your own way.”
You can see this impulse even in little children. Have you ever noticed that when two children are playing, one child will ignore a certain toy until the moment the other child picks it up? Suddenly both children want it. They scream and pull, trying to wrest it away from one another. Sometimes they’ll destroy the toy in the process—all because one child wants what the other has. That’s just human nature. We’re born that way, and we carry that trait with us through life, causing countless problems along the way.
Marriages fall apart, by and large, because of selfishness. People have sex before marriage because of selfishness. People commit adultery because of selfishness. Name a problem in our society today, and chances are you’ll find selfishness at its root.
Dwight L. Moody once said, “I have more trouble with D. L. Moody than with any other man I’ve ever met.” As Moody recognized, it’s our obsession with ourselves that is at the root of our problems.
The apostle Paul urged the believers at Philippi, “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too” (Philippians 2:3–4 NLT).
That’s a tall order for people whose selfish impulses start at birth. But God stands ready to help you. To transform your focus and your priorities. To help you recognize and deal with your selfish urges. To take away the devil’s advantage over you. It’s a lifelong process, but one that’s well worth the time.
